Reviews for 3 Peaks Resort & Beach Club

Review 1:We arrived at the property at 11.45pm after a long drive from San Francisco and in the car with a 11 month old baby. The property was locked and we could not get a hold of anyone at the staff to allow us to check in. We called and waited for 2 hours in front of the hotel in the freezing cold. Two other guests arrived around 1am and just like us had no luck locating the staff. We finally managed to find a different property for the night. I believe the other two guests gave up as well and reserved rooms elsewhere. Incredibly low quality and unprofessional service. Unfortunately, after reading other reviews I found out this happens frequently.

Review 2:Facility needs microwave in rooms or at least in the lobby. We got the suite pool view with a pullout couch bed and the mattress was terrible on the couch would defiantly just get the double bed room next time.

Review 3:Location

Review 4:shower dirty and door was off hinge front desk not that helpful- out of basic supplies & not remedied over a few days, thermostat in room didn't work

Review 5:lovely spa tub and comfortable bed , and kitchenette- clean and very nice room /design

Review 6:Our room was very recently refurbished and with great taste and style. We loved our bed, our room, the cleanliness was perfect, and we were able to have our 18 year old dog, Abby, stay with us. She slept on her own bed and she was comfy, too!

Review 7:Could not park right in front of our room. Each time we came back to our room, we needed to circle around a few times before finding the most convenient space.

Review 8:Very clean, artistic, and spacious! Beautiful granite shower stall and efficient spa tub. A "resort" feel in a motel neighborhood so close to the gondola, cafes, shops, and grocery store.

Review 9:Location is good with easy access to grocery stores, entertainment options, etc. Public transportation is a few blocks away. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Review 10:The name of the resort is miss leading. The word "beach club" made me think we are right on the lake. When in all actuality the "private" beach, which is open to the public,is about a 10 minute walk away. In the room, there are multiple pictures missing but the nails and brackets are still there. Some of the lamps don't work. Some of the light switches don't work. bathroom heater doesn't work. Tvs are way outdated and small.

Review 11:The cabin feel of the suite.

Review 12:Rented a room with a fireplace. Found out when we got to the room, we had to pay for the wood kit.? Woken up several times throughout the night due to loud plumbing. Husband slipped in the tub the first night due to the tub being left with a slime type residue. First morning found we had only 1 coffee cup between the 2 of us. Also it was not covered with a sanitized cover. The next morning we had to sanitized coffee cups, but a coffee pot left dirty from the day before with the used coffin filter as well. Loud music and conversation from the cleaning staff in the morning. This a return visit due to our great experience the last time we stayed. We won't be returning.

Review 13:The gentleman that checked us in was very hospitable! Great employee!

Review 14:Fireplace needed a new thermostat. It worked manually. Fan did not work in bathroom. They were refurbishing the parking lot during our stay. None of these items were a trip spoiler.

Review 15:Staff friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable Bed very nice. Kitchen was adequately equipped with a good sized refrigerator. Nice sitting area for the family to use. We were celebrating a family birthday and the living room gave us a good gathering spot.Very rustic. It's not luxurious but comfortable. Close walk to the beach. Our son brought his dog and they were very accommodating. Lots of plugs available for electronics and in room safe.

Review 16:For the price, nothing.

Review 17:The installations are ok, but the room is excelent. They put me on an upgrade room with kitchen and two bedroom and it was very good. The staff is corteous and offer good service.

Review 18:The stairs to the building were in need of repair. The fireplace had to be "fiddled with" to keep it working. The shower, sink, and toilet were each in separate areas.

Review 19:Great location and staff. Complimentary upgrade to kitchenette room with fireplace.

Review 20:half roll of toilet paper with no backup tiny bath soap yellow maintenence tape and limited parking spongy floors limited bath linens reception office coffee is limited to 1st comers beach club??????? some units have cramped bathrooms and are in dire need of updating.

Review 21:the staff was accommoding. wifi jacuzi

Review 22:The pillows were lumpy and the blanket was very worn. The furniture was completely mismatched.

Review 23:Quiet room with a comfortable bed. This place is old school with knotty pine walls, but sort of charming. This was our second stay at this motel.

Review 24:strange loud noise in the room every 1 mins. windows and floor shakes along with the noise. couldn't sleep due to this and the stuff wouldn't change the room until the next day. poor wifi access, couldn't hardly connect to any webpage

Review 25:at least the location is ok

Review 26:Had to call another hotel for late check in and the other hotel didn't answer the phone. The guy behind locked doors in the lobby wouldn't even look at us till we tried calling for several minutes. Not a warm welcome for tired travlers. Not enough parking. Noise from upstairs. No breakfast food at all.

Review 27:Rooms looked like they were recently remodeled.

Review 28:Nothing was bad

Review 29:Close to shopping and casinos but off the beaten main path and just a short walk to the lake. They are cuttently updating the property which will be nice. The upper deck railing was lose and needs attention, so don't lean on the outside rear wood railing. Bed was comfortable and looked like new lamps. Rooms could be arranged differently because the table and chairs at the foot of the bed dis not work for us we moved them off to the side for more room space. Very comfortable accommodations for the price. Very clean. Quiet and peaceful pool and hot tub area. I would recommend this location to anyone who likes to park it and walk. If your not able to do that stay at the high priced places.

Review 30:I ordered the room with beds separated by room and with a kitchenette. What i received was a room with two queen beds in the same room, no kitchen. Our stay had depended on the kitchen, as we couldn't afford to eat out the entire time we were gone. Well, we had to eat out anyway.

Review 31:Rooms were spotless, very comfortable and modern. If it were the room i had ordered, it would've been perfect.

Review 32:The late checkout procedure did not work. I just got a voicemail. Luckily there was a staff member who was able to help me even though it was a little after hours. He was very helpful

Review 33:I loved the location and the comfort of the room especially the bed

Review 34:Nothing this time anyway!

Review 35:That it is a great location and pet friendly and prices are good! Our room This Time was nicer than past visits but they keep the place up nicely and we have been coming there for 7 years now!

Review 36:Needs maintenance: tub faucet could not be completely shut off, bedroom door frame was broken, cleanliness was so-so. Walls are thin, could hear every word spoken in neighboring suite. No channel directory or program was provided for old style box TV.

Review 37:Good location, nice, spacious suite. TV in both living room and bedroom, individual air conditioner for both rooms. Well equipped kitchen.

Review 38:Sliding door in our room broken, request repair to front desk, never happen. Request 1 extra chair on balcony , never happen. Have to share our balcony with other guests !!! Never seen that in a hotel. Left our room at 7 am for hiking , came back at 2 pm , room was not clean...sign was on the door requesting cleaning room?

Review 39:Location close to the lake and shopping

Review 40:It was listed as a resort, steps from the beach. In actuality it was a plain, small, but clean room with some very frayed linen, several blocks from the beach. Felt it was an average motel room with a luxury room price.

Review 41:The beds were comfortable. It was easy to locate.

Review 42:Their private beach doesn't allow dogs. Lots of sinks and mirrors, but only one bathroom. Their dog areas don't have little garbage cans so you have to go hunting (near the vending machines and ice machine). Reception closes at 10PM, so if you're checking in later, I think you have to call them (this didn't happen to us but I saw a few people waiting).

Review 43:Stayed in the 2 bedroom townhouse. Perfect for the four of us girls. Enough room for another person or two. Beds were INCREDIBLY comfortable. Enjoyed having a balcony and the kitchen was great. Looked like a nice hot tub and pool (but didn't use it). Very clean. LOVED being able to have my pooch with me, and the room didn't smell like dog at all!

Review 44:Had a reservation for two nights confirmed via booking.com once we arrived at the hotel we were told that they were fully booked. They offered us to stay one night in a nicer room, but pay the upgrade fee. We had to switch for the second night... This is not the customer service we had expected. Plus the floor had some open nails which was really dangerous....

Review 45:Very little storage for clothes. A/C dripped water into the room. We reported that and the very dirty filter. Filter changed right away, but a/c unit still dripping. It cooled the room just fine. WiFi only worked sporadically.

Review 46:Great location. Good water pressure and temp in shower, nice size room. Nice staff.

Review 47:We upgraded to a 2-bdrm suite when our adult son was able to join us---full kitchen, living room---so convenient and comfortable! Great hot tub and pool. Very good value. Close to casinos, groceries, other shopping.

Review 48:The complaints are pretty minor compared to the overall stay. The lighting in the one bedroom suite was really not adequate and left a lot of dark areas. The downside of the separate bedroom was a lack of airflow from the air conditioner which was located in the living room.

Review 49:The location was excellent for access to the beach, the casinos, the gondola and lots of other south lake attractions. Our one bedroom suite worked great when one of us either wanted to stay up later or got up earlier. The kitchen was very handy and had everything we needed to cook simple meals.

Review 50:Not an issue but if had to pick a complaint was face and toilet tissue thin and rough and air conditioner loud great access to beach but dogs not allowed. But can walk to lake, food music and so much fun

Review 51:Overhead fans, air conditioning, ample space in room, private balconies, location was the best ever. Comfy bed and pretty quiet walls considering location and peak summer season. Plenty room for dog staff very friendly

Review 52:There was a big bag of garbage left close to our door. Housecleaning forgot to take it. it happened the first night. I reported it to the front desk. They didn't anything about until the next morning

Review 53:Staff was friendly and informative. Close to the lake

Review 54:We had to change the room (booked 2 nights) and the we had to leave the first rooma early and got the next one very late. Very badly organized (front desk plaimed cleaning ladies, but wanted not to do something to solve the case)

Review 55:The heater would only work on air conditioning. Staff repaired it. The TV cable was only showing the Weather channel. After two days, I fixed it myself by resetting the cable box. It took a long time to have our room serviced, late in the afternoon. Staff was so concerned with problems they were having with their internet connection, we were forgotten and our problems not address in a timely manner.

Review 56:Location was great. one block from the Village at South Lake Tahoe.

Review 57:Nothing bad, but some of the rooms are showing their age.....for the price, still can't be beat!

Review 58:Great staff, amazing pool & hot tub area. Spacious rooms if you have better than the Deluxe, hotel style.

Review 59:We stayed in a room with 2 beds. One bed was okay; 2nd bed (mattress) really needs replacement. And wifi was almost unusable but with all of us having t-mobile 2G plan, we hardly needed wifi. So not a big deal for us.

Review 60:Facility & Price & People!! Lobby staff (specially Dion and Heidi) was extremely co-operative and cool. They made us feel like guests and not customers. That's very rare now a days. Facility is amazing.. nothing extravagant but everything was clean, working and adequate. And of course, location is great. And yes, did I mention their private beach access?? And all these at really reasonable price. We would definitely stay here again...

Review 61:Didnt sleep because itbwas very hot in the room. The air conditioning unit was set to 60 but wouldnt turn on.

Review 62:The bed. The old wood rustic look the bedroom had. It was very nice.

Review 63:I wish the room we had had cushioned chairs.

Review 64:I like the rustic theme that matches the beauty of the wilderness of South Lake Tahoe. The staff was very friendly and Dawn at the front desk was a joy to talk with.

Review 65:Room smelled strong of carpet deodorizer to the point I gave us a headache. Something in the bed sheets was biting us all over. WIFI signal was to weak to use. Old school TV that wasn't compatible with Chromecast so we couldn't watch a bit of Netflix. Overall the place felt dingy and was uncomfortable.

Review 66:Nice location.

Review 67:We had to chase down one of the housekeeping staff to get extra towels after we'd already spoken to the front desk twice that day. The wifi kept dropping to the point that we spoke to the front desk and they stated it'd be fixed and wasn't so when we went to places to eat we just used theirs. It's known to drop in the area but we had the most dropping in the room due to a bad router.

Review 68:The room was very nicely renovated and felt bigger than it was. The bed was nicely made and the comforter had some moth holes in it but was otherwise comfortable. The bathroom was a bit tight but it just being the two of us, it was fine. The water pressure was good and everything was clean. Had a little mini fridge hidden in the storage unit under the TV for our drinks and the AC was amazing as I run warm.

Review 69:The bed was so comfortable, room was spacious and clean. It had a heart shaped spa we were not expecting. Nice and peaceful place to stay. And again, Monica and the man with the accent(sorry forgot your name) were awesome!!! Defiantly will stay there again.

Review 70:I didn't like that we were advertised something we didn't receive. We bought food to cook for our romantic getaway only to be disappointed with the fact that there was no kitchen. The description said differently. The couch was stiff and the bed gave my partner back discomfort.

Review 71:I liked the balcony and the location.

Review 72:I loved everything about this hotel it was comfortable cozy in the perfect Location everybody was nice I want to give a special thanks to DAWN who works in the office she made my two days extra special with her caring and kindness and going out of her way to do everything to make my stay perfect

Review 73:Extremely pet friendly! Loved the newly remodeled rooms, cleanliness was amazing. They are remodeling the pool and hot tub, it will be great when they are done, it was looking good. Close to shops, grocery store, and the beach. You can't beat the price. Good job 3 peaks! You can tell the owner cares about their reputation.

Review 74:nothing

Review 75:The location was great with a private beach 1/2 block away. Steve had a good knowledge about everything that South Lake Tahoe had to offer

Review 76:They are doing an upgrade and the townhomes are last, it really needs to be done. Paying full rate and having to watch sub standard TV's irks me no end. A dog friendly hotel means the staff are too, except I could not get my room serviced because of my dog. That's weird.

Review 77:I love this place, super well located and I have stayed here dozens of times.

Review 78:first night stayed in a double bed room and the beds were bad. Second night a king and much better. Rooms are dated but clean.

Review 79:location to Heavenly Village is great.

Review 80:First off, when we opened the door to our room all we smelled was old, stale fireplace smoke that was imbedded into everything. The room wasn't clean and the electrical cords were Gerry--rigged together. The bathroom was less than acceptable, the hot and cold water was very difficult to adjust. Wi-fi didn't work. In an attempt to lessen the smoke smell, we opened the window and turned on the heater. The heater sounded like it had rocks in it. Needless to say, neither of us slept that night. Both of us had asthma flare-ups. Thankfully Booking.com allowed us to cancel the second night. We stayed right across the street in a nice place for the same cost! Lesson learned-never stay at an off brand place again!!!!

Review 81:Our bathroom smelt like pet dander. The TV was very old and had lines running at the top. Carpet had rips on it. Didn't feel very clean. The towels were very rough.

Review 82:It was very cheap and close to heavenly village. Parking was never an issue. Room temperature was comfortable. The hot tub was cool

Review 83:The staff was not very helpful explaining the charges. When we arrived we found out that we would be charged $100 over possible incidentals such as pet fees and phone calls? We didn't have a pet and we had no plans on using a room phone. By the time I left there were an additional $200 extra what the room was suppose to cost me. Some of the charges were taken off but 4days after we left I noticed there is a pending charged of $44! What?! We liked the place but really sketchy on the billing.

Review 84:Location of the place was perfect. Close to the beach and the gondola to Heavenly. The room was great. Big enough for the two of us. Balcony was nice despite looking down into the dumpster. Little kitchenette stove worked like a champ! Fireplace was clean with all the utensils you would need (except firewood, but they sell it). I would definitely get this room again.

Review 85:The kitchen wasn't that well equipped. No small pan to boil eggs e.g. No kitchen towels.

Review 86:I liked that we had 2 bathrooms. Travelling with a family with a toddler (our grand child). We could all have our own space. We liked the town home and the open fireplace.

Review 87:Access to pool area and pool table/ common areas was closed too early in the night. WiFi rarely worked( other nearby hotels wifi came in stronger ). Short on cleaning staff.

Review 88:Location is great. It is walking distance from activities.

Review 89:love this hotel .we are skiers and love the location .we have been to many other hotels over the years ,this is now our spot cant beat the price, friendly staff.we stayed in the one bedroom suite with a soaking tub.love the outdoor hot tub and meeting great people.

Review 90:The pillow is too soft but I manage to get an extra blanket as pillow. The housecleaning staff left my door open after cleaning but fortunately I have nothing lost.

Review 91:Location is good. Near to the beach and the cable car to ski resorts. The supermarket is also within 5 minutes walk and you can get everything there. Very reasonable rate. I have stayed for a week so the guest laundry is really useful for me.

Review 92:No microwave. TV could only turn on/off, plus just the volume (& mute worked) -- it was stuck on the 'Weather' channel. No morning breakfast. A-C/Heating unit was kind of loud. Pillows were pretty flat.

Review 93:The restroom (shower & toilet) was separate from the wash basin so one person wasn't tying up usage of all of the 'facilities' at once. Quiet outside, parking right in front of the room. Mini-fridge & coffeemaker included. Location easy to find, even at night. Check-in was FAST!... less than two minutes.

Review 94:Clerk who checked us out the next morning (no name tag) was very unpleasant. Insisted that we had booked through another .com, refused to believe us when we told her that we used booking.com, refused to give us a receipt when we requested one twice (said it would be mailed to us by the .com), and was openly skeptical when we reported a biohazard in the room. We didn't notice it after we checked in, as we were tired and went to bed, but there was blood on the wall near the bathroom and on a connecting door. Also, a $3 charge later showed up on our credit card for a "purchase" we supposedly made. We did not buy anything, made no calls, didn't even use the in-room coffee. Yes, it's a small amount, but $3 from each guest could certainly add up.

Review 95:Clerk who checked us in upon arrival was pleasant and efficient (no name tag, but male). Room was small, but well arranged, and bed was comfortable. Motel was very quiet at night.

Review 96:Can't quite figure out the heat...remote control.....or the fireplace that I bought wood...hot water in kitchen takes forever...all else is great!

Review 97:Ooops...messed up...2 iered jacuzzi, but should've bee hotter...they "bumped me up" to a 2 bedroom condo....just lovely, so I'm staying 2 more nites!truly a lovely place friendly staff & walking distance to all the great shopping tahoe has to offer.

Review 98:flat screen tv in bedroom didn't work...they really tried to fix it to no avail...needs to be replaced. Other than that...no complaints!

Review 99:Large 2 bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms and full kitchen. Upgraded at check in due original room was on top floor and not convenient for older couple. Location is great...close to casinos and Lake. Hot tub/pool very nice. Very friendly staff...turned on our gas fireplace when asked and washed the dishes in dishwasher...would definitely stay here again!

Review 100:Small kitchen area to work with including lacking space to actually store food but not the end of the world.

Review 101:Good sized room. Appreciated having a room with kitchen facilities. Lovely big hot-tub on the site. Excellent locaton in terms of access to beach, restaurants and casinos.

Review 102:We wanted to use the fireplace and they told us they would have it looked at never did. No toilet paper in the bathroom and when we called the front desk they told us to come get it. In the pouring rain.... Really? Unbelievable ...

Review 103:Nothing

Review 104:There's a large split-level hot tub and big pool here, which is great because it means that even if other people are having a soak, there is always room. The rooms are bigger than many other rooms in this area. We've stayed here twice now and have been happy both times.

Review 105:There is an evil plot here I do believe. The tempter that is the 3 Peaks Club is working with perfection to sew dissent and dissatisfaction with the remainder of my life. Let's start with the heart of this dastardly plan, the beds. These king size down pits of comfiness were designed by the devil himself, assuring me that no sleep I have for the remainder of my days will be as sound as the ones I had on my three night stay. The silence of the room was deafening, and now the world around me is a cacophony of noise in comparison. I was lulled by the room's decadent size, it's opulent jacuzzi tub, and it's shower of near biblical proportions, to a state where I felt I was worthy of all these luxuries usually reserved for kings and saints, and now truly feel like the mild and meek man I am after leaving. In all seriousness though, my stay here was a true delight, and as a hotel professional of over ten years, I would like to commend all the staff at 3 Peaks for their professional yet exceptionally friendly and accommodating spirit. You all have an excellent thing going on there, keep up the great work!!!!

Review 106:spacious rooms, fair price, good location( near a grocery store) outdoor hot tub near the pool. Very Friendly and helpful manager always tries to help us get around.

Review 107:We stayed in the deluxe two bedroom apartment. It had everything we needed and loads of space. Free wifi and parking were great. Pool and hot tub were lovely. Hotel is only a few minutes walk to the beach. It's also within walking distance to all shops and casinos. Loved our stay.

Review 108:The carpet in room needs to be replaced. The front desk main corridor is dusty. The refrigerator was not adequately cold. No trash cans to dispose of dog feces near or around poop bags.

Review 109:The great location! The hot tub Dog friendly.

Review 110:There was nothing about the place we did not like.

Review 111:We had a one bedroom suite with a kitchenette! Worth every bit. We also had a great balcony that we could sit on with our friends that came to visit us. The pool and the bi-level jacuzzi was a lot of fun. Even though the resort was a place you could bring dogs there was no smell in the room. We had a pass to the Lakeside Beach which was in walking distance. We also were able to walk to Harveys to watch the Aerosmith concert which was fantastic! The bedroom and bed was super comfortable too. There was also a separate deep tub which was very relaxing. We also barbecued outside. We would definitely stay there again!! Oh yes Deon at the front desk was very accommodating about everything as well as the parking situation. Highest rate to this place!!

Review 112:The free WiFi was so slow as to be worthless.

Review 113:The location is excellent - just a short walk to the center of South Lake Tahoe. The property is in good condition and clean. It is kind of a through-back to Motels of the 60's but with nice upgrades.

Review 114:The first day we arrived, we checked in then went to our rooms & the water was turned off. I went to the front desk to find out what was going on & the girl said the city turned the water off, I told her it would have been nice if she would have mentioned it at check in. I asked how long it will be turned off, she didnt know. Then the third day, after the room was cleaned, they didnt leave any toliet paper, i went down to the office & the girl said they ran out & didnt know when they would have more, then gave me kleenex to use until the next day.

Review 115:pool area was nice & being close the the beach was good.

Review 116:The pullout mattress was in need of replacement. A little pricey for my taste. They Gould have provided candles during the power outage that occurred in the town. But we survived.

Review 117:You can't beat the location. The pool and jacuzzi were a hit for the family. The cleaning staff were excellent.

Review 118:Access to pool

Review 119:The bed

Review 120:The hot tub was amazing and the room was pretty.

Review 121:Was on ground floor, could hear people above, very loud. Stayed 101

Review 122:Close to everything, clean, water hot,

Review 123:Great location, comfy beds, fantastic jaccuzzi....

Review 124:Awesome value for money, the beds are some of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Heavenly Village.

Review 125:The location and very cozy

Review 126:bed and pillows too soft!

Review 127:Great location, very close to Heavenly ski resort.

Review 128:Clean, comfortable, convenient to everything. Also very cost friendly! We were upgraded to a junior suite at no charge.

Review 129:The 2 tier hot tub, large balcony
