Reviews for Hyatt Regency Minneapolis
Review 1:Tall water glasses in the room would be much more useful than the small bathroom glasses. Also better than ridiculously priced water bottles, unfriendly to the environment...
Review 2:all the services can be texted. Eg. Extra wine glasses...
Review 3:How much it costs for parking! Also, charging $3.50-$4.00 for water is absurd. I felt as though I was being raped of money because everything costs so much when you stay here.
Review 4:Hotel and its rooms were very clean. Staff was friendly.
Review 5:As an international traveller over the age of 25 I would expecT my driving license to be sufficient Id. However I was made to return to my room and provide my passport I believe carrying my passport to the bar to be unsafe.
Review 6:The staff on arrival were very helpful and provided us with an excellent room.
Review 7:I assumed we'd have a fridge and microwave in the room...my own fault. It was all good.
Review 8:Much overdue trip with my adult daughter. We played cribbage by the fire and totally enjoyed non-interrupted conversation. Main purpose was The Blue Man Group at the Orpheum.
Review 9:noisy halls a little bit run down lots of late night door slamming pand broken equipment in ceiling clicking
Review 10:Great listen and view. great location and view
Review 11:Not really a five stars Hotel , no refrigerator in the room, no sewing kit, no cotton pad and water is not complimentary. The house keeping left my door opened and when I returned and found that, I called the reception not even an excuse or sorry all what she said was I will check (check what ?I don't know) .
Review 12:Location
Review 13:staff...parking was confusing and was not polity directed and had a deal that was to include valet parking and for some reason I was unable to get this part of my stay...I also left behind some very expensive hygine items call the very next day to see if I could retreive and I was told they were not saved...:( also food is not worth the price....we were very dissatisfied with the food and was not compensated in any way...
Review 14:view very nice...location was perfect...room very clean
Review 15:I hung my breakfast order on my door. Waited an hour after it was supposed to be delivered onlt to find out they didn't have my order...so ne breakfast. Called Valet for my truck to be brought around...waited outside for 20 minutes only to find out know one was getting it. Terrible service.
Review 16:Everything except for the service.
Review 17:It seems the maid service isn't quite what I would expect for this hotel.
Review 18:I loved having access to the Regency Club. The staff were great, especially Chris and Thomasdo (sp?). The food was perfect. The setting was great for connecting with other guests.
Review 19:I have two charges to my credit card that the counter man could not explained. I will recheck agaianst hotel bill when I arrive to my country. I may put a claim to the credit card issueing bank.
Review 20:Room and bathroom confort.
Review 21:I didn't like the bloody pillowcase left in the room by housekeeping or that the room was not up to date enough to have USB charging for phones and such.
Review 22:I liked the location.
Review 23:The staff was extremely accommodating, friendly and made me feel "at home". The facility was beautiful and very nice. I will stay again should travel take me back to MN!
Review 24:location difficult to get to w/all construction taking place on road. Valet service slow and had to ask for assistance vs. having someone greet me and offer to assist. Took 20 minutes for them to get my vehicle when checking out.
Review 25:Room was nice size
Review 26:Dark rooms, way overpriced for what it was!!!! I mean, really overpriced, due to way too many people in MN for the conventions....and, a man knocked at my door at 11 pm and would not go away! Freaked me out, I should have called security, I did not, but was very unsettling!
Review 27:That there was coffee downstairs, and the gym
Review 28:The shampoo and conditioner were not up to the standards I would expect from the Hyatt Parking at 17 bucks is outrageous.
Review 29:Room service in the morning was a great option to have something light to start the day. The room was awesome with a wonderful view of the city. We were in town for a Twins game and the game time ended up being moved up to noon.
Review 30:I was very satisfied with the hotel. The only thing I can complain about is that even though breakfast was included I had to pay some balance for it. It was explained to me but my opinion is that if you pay for something it should stand. And the breakfast buffet is not very tempting. More fruits and better bread.
Review 31:For my room (King room w/out city view), shower only, no bath tub.
Review 32:Toilet has a dedicated dressing area with a stool. The room is clean. Air con fan can be turned off for a quiet yet cool night sleep.
Review 33:Got back to hotel after TCU and Minnesota game. No food or drink available. Poor planning for the many guests who attended the game
Review 34:Room was very comfortable. Lobby was impressive. Staff at reception desk was very helpful
Review 35:We loved that we were able to request where to have our multiple rooms (close to the rest of our party) and whether or not we wanted a lower or higher room. The staff were extremely helpful.
Review 36:We came for a post medical operation we didn't know comic con was going on. It was loud we had to wait in lines to use the elevator while in pain trying to get to our room. It took forever for you to find our reservation, parking was a nightmare. There was staining on our carpet, charged for bottled water. I was looking forward to staying with you but found it on par with a super 8. I'm looking for a place for my honeymoon and I'm now reconsidering Hyatt properties.
Review 37:Location.
Review 38:My room did not have much of a view.
Review 39:We were in an executive one bedroom suite. Very spacious and fresh and new. location is good, away from elevators and ice machine. Breakfast buffet was good and the restaurant staff very nice. Concierge very friendly and parking convenient.
Review 40:Wifi didn't always work. Television cut off regularly. Cold showerone day (no hotel explanation). One Bellman didn't know whereanything was in the area or downtown. Automated wake up call was alwaysthe wrong day. Housekeeping never emptied our ice bucket or left us aclean insert.
Review 41:Bellman named Joseph
Review 42:It was a amazing stay at Hyatt, I didn't expected they prepared a lots snacks! And the view was stunning! Will stay at Hayatt everytime visit Minneapolis!
Review 43:Valet workers were pushy and unfriendly...bath mat and towels were tattered...expected a bit more luxury on that area for the quality of the hotel!
Review 44:Very wonderful staff...including breakfast staff
Review 45:Charging me a deposit more than the cost of my room. Tv channels so badthey want you to buy ppv. Most basic cable channels not available.
Review 46:Clean room, comfortable bed.
Review 47:Nice location with a staff willing to look up and run off public transportation directions. Availability of a free shuttle to go to nearby places like the Guthrie and MIA on weekdays until nine.
Review 48:No fridge in such a well equipt room. However the light wasn't working properly and although this may be nit picky the dark blue color was a bit distracting due to the lack of lighting maybe. Some ambient lighting would be nice
Review 49:The staff were all extremely helpful and nice!!!awesome actually !
Review 50:We were only the handfull of people not here on business, which made usfeel weird. For one, they didnt complete our request of pillowselection, the ice machine is way too far away from our room. Parkingwas not convenient- which we have to pay for. Which is rediculous. Ourroom had to no central air- so we couldnt set a temp to our room. It wasrelevently cool all night. No fridge in room which is rediculous- theyhave plenty of extra space in the rooms to have one. Also our tallerlamp didnt want to work half the time. But the worst thing that happenedto my friend and I was the elevadors. After 11pm the elevadors go into"secure mode" which makes no sense and it took us 30 minutesto just get to our room. So much confusion with the staff trying to helpus with the stupid elevaders. It was taking us to wrong floors like ithad a mind of its own.
Review 51:The loactiona was optimal for downtown activites such as conventioncenter, Target Field, etc. The staff was good.
Review 52:Per question "what didn't you like", well there is a list. 1. Dusty TV table and TV 2. The loud people above us. 3. The "standard" rooms at 2* hotels are more spacious 4. How the trays of food were left sour right by our door when we checked in at 7 pm.
Review 53:The bar was nice and relaxing, not to mention the hostess was very nice. Also the breakfast buffet was delicious, just didn't really like the charge of $116 for 2 adults and 3 kids under 12.
Review 54:There were stains on couch cushion but made a great effort to clean with extractor. Room cleaning was passed by due to "privacy" sign and when contacted Housekeeping to clean room it was passed by a 2nd time. Although eventually made up the room for the evening. There was some confusion on our meal plan to use buffet instead of room service, although Andy in reservations made it right!
Review 55:When we had an issue it was usually taken care of most immediately. Andy Mgr was helpful and understanding of our misperception. Location was great for meandering to eat and see parade. Valet was awesome as I was not familiar with how the service works.
Review 56:Bed was Broken on one side Room was requested 2 months in advance to be closest to the elevator (handicap need).. we were in the farthest room from elevator. Didn't include refrigerator or microwave Staff who I talked to about the bed was rude.. told me "I" should've said something earlier.. really? Terrible C/S.
Review 57:Located near Mpls Convention Center
Review 58:Well the pic. On booking.co showed a couch in the room we booked once we got there no couch in are room.....went down and had proof on my phone that it advertised a couch for the price we paid and the lady told me it wasn't there problem and I would have to take it up with booking.com....me and my group did not have time for that we needed the couch that day and had meetings and a twins game to get to....so that kinda upset us since the pic. Of the room we looked at and booked and a couch I'm it.
Review 59:I liked how classy the place was.
Review 60:The parking was a hassle but no reflection on the hotel. There was construction going on.
Review 61:THE STAFF!!! What an amazing bunch of sweet and helpful personnel at this location. Nate and Chris and a red headed women (didn't remember her name but she was originally from Wisconsin) went above and beyond for us. Thank you all so much.
Review 62:Housekeeping issues. Dust you could write in and also dust accumulation on carpet edges. A jar on a shelf was stuck in position by a sticky accumulation. I moved this and so the dirt was very obvious. Housekeeper did not clean but did leave an envelope alongside for a tip? Winows very dirty.
Review 63:Location was very good.
Review 64:hated the road construction in the area- hard to get to the hotel entrance
Review 65:Loved that we registered 3 people & actually had 3 towels in the room. We used 2 regular coffee packs & they gave us 4 more for the next day- didn't have to beg for extra coffee or drink the decaffeinated.
Review 66:The bed seemed too soft.
Review 67:Prairie restaurant, Market for food, coffee in room, ability to have refrigerator, great room, view greenway nearby, Loring Park, easy access to light rail and free bus out front.
Review 68:No coffeemaker or hair dryer in the room. They placed a hold for $250 on my debit card for a week after my stay. I would think they could release that sooner.
Review 69:Within walking distance of the event I was attending. Comfortable room. Cafe on site was convenient. Staff was very helpful!
Review 70:Poor service in the restaurant .Took 10 minutes to bring cream for my coffee.
Review 71:Location was great. Bathroom was well designed .We lost our parking stub and the front desk was very helpful.
Review 72:Nice place, but lack of attention to detail. No shampoo in room. No coffee cups in room. No fridge in room! No continental breakfast. Also, loud neighbors late into night.
Review 73:Bed was VERY comfortable. Location good - walkable to marathon registration. Have to pay for parking, which adds to room rate, but they gave us a card so we could come and go. Great health club on site. Clean.
Review 74:The toilet had black fungus on it (photographs to prove it) Took three days for them to clean it. Management and staff did not seem to take it seriously. If I had got sick from the toilet, there would have been hell to pay! I would never stay there again.
Review 75:The skywalks
Review 76:I was charged more then planned on booking, an additional tax was added and an un expected fee was charged. Plus I didn't get the breakfast I had paid for.
Review 77:The room was nice.
Review 78:Room was dusty (I have allergies) Floor didn't appear to have been vaccumed (paper craps and dust bunnies) Parking was expensive in addition to the cost
Review 79:Friendly staff and attentive Beautiful lounge and common area Excellent fitness facility
Review 80:The oarking pretty pricey for the stay. Also not having a microwave and refrigerator was a downside for the price.
Review 81:The view of the city was pretty nice, since we got a pretty high room. Also it was pretty clean the whole time.
Review 82:The business center was pretty underwhelming and wanted to charge for both computer usage and printing. I only needed a single page printed in black and white
Review 83:First night and part of next day there was no cable tv. However it was d/t just expanding a variety of channels. Also, not much hot water on the first day but after that no problem.
Review 84:Cleanliness and housekeeping attention to details.
Review 85:No fridge in the room. To get one you need to pay $20 per night. Sound proofing is quite bad.
Review 86:Location is great, breakfast buffet was good. Pool is not very big but warm.
Review 87:Did not know about the service deposit, sort of threw a wrench into my plans for the day but it all worked out. The pool area was small and had no hot tub.
Review 88:The beds felt like clouds!
Review 89:the room, staff, easy parking, free internet, easy dining and room service,,,things that made a difference in a difficult time of my life.the hotel is at par with westin, and has better parking.
Review 90:The Bellman were the best we have ever had! The temperature was -34 degrees and each one that helped us, had a smile on their faces and were extremely helpful
Review 91:The breakfast was cold as soon as it came out when it was eggs, pancakes and sausages.
Review 92:Amazing sized room for the price. Enjoyed the seprate bedroom from living space.
Review 93:Extra staff, extra security at hall protecting elevator access, excellent check in for large number of festive guests, and well planned valet and restaurant. Thumbs up.
Review 94:My friends who were not spending the night had to pay $25 a person just to come up to my room.. I had to pay a 250 deposit after I paid for the room ahead of time.. This is very unsatisfactory to me
Review 95:Huge bar and lounge
Review 96:room should have a fridge in it, for what you are paying. TV had a bad picture at first, but did improve.
Review 97:comfortable bed and spacious and clean room. good location
Review 98:The parking was confusing. I gave the receptionist my ticket but still needed to put my credit card in to get out of the ramp. I am concerned I will get charged twice for parking.
Review 99:Frank from the Market has excellent customer service. He went above and beyond what you would expect.
Review 100:Would like to see a sports bar like the old Spikes. The new bar/lounge is not as relaxing and comfortable.
Review 101:Location is perfect, staff is very helpful, clean and comfortable rooms.
Review 102:I had specifically asked for a quiet room and was told I was getting a corner room that was very quiet... Very noisy heating system. Kept me awake.
Review 103:We have stayed with you quite a few times because we really do enjoy your hotel. The room this time was disappointing because of the furnace noise.
Review 104:The ceiling signs on the 2nd floor lead you to believe that you can catch the elevator to the parking ramp on that floor. If you can, I never found it. If you can't then a sign pointing down to the 1st floor would be helpful.
Review 105:It's a short walk to the convention center and all indoors. There's ample parking @ $17/day for self park or about 2x that for valet parking. The staff is very friendly, and the club level is awesome.
Review 106:I passed on my child's school group rate hotel, in order to get the two queen beds option that was advertised as available (for a lot more money) at this location. When we got into the room were surprised to find a king and fold out. Hyatt overbooked.I could have stayed at the Millenium for the same set up for much less $.
Review 107:It was clean, and very very quiet.
Review 108:The room where not really quite.
Review 109:The hotel was central, we walked at the Nicollet Mall and the Christmas Market. Car was parked in the garage and we didnt had to drive a round. Everything was walkable.
Review 110:No breakfast included
Review 111:Room was nice, was upgraded and stayed on the 20th floor and the view was great. Nice location near Nicollet mall and tram to take to mall of america. Got a complimentary appetizer and 2 drinks.
Review 112:The man that greeted us at the check in shed a great amount of light on how I perceived Hyatt and the room also helped made the experience worth while. Thank you Hyatt!
Review 113:I am used to hotels that have a coffee carafe in the room. It would have been a nice amenity. This was the first time I experienced a fee for canceling a reservation, so I was uncomfortable with that policy.
Review 114:I was visiting the city to see the Bob Dylan concert at the Orphium. I loved the location as the concert was within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel was comfortable, but most important every staff member I met was friendly and helpful. I felt welcome and my needs were all addressed with ease. I will stay there again in the future.
Review 115:I guess it's the trend now but there was a ginormous shower but I miss having a bathtub.
Review 116:Enormous room in gigantic corporate hotel. Virtually no contact with staff except for 30 second check in which was fine. Room very well appointed. The best thing was no honor bar-just an empty fridge we could use as we pleased. There's a nice snack shop called "The Market" in the lobby with a much better selection and far fairer prices than the old "honor bar" model. Great concept.
Review 117:Our floor had one ice machine and no soda vending at all. I just wanted to grab a pop for the night and didn't want to go to the lobby.
Review 118:I liked the price I got for a one night stay. Very nice executive suite
Review 119:the mattress sagged on the side that clearly everyone sleeps on so it felt like you were going to roll out
Review 120:the staff couldn't have been more helpful
Review 121:What's not to like. They also have a car to pick you up from train station.
Review 122:Check in was fast. Staff attentive property was clean . View was great from the 24th floor. Suits are very spacious.
Review 123:For a classy hotel. No jacuzzi/ hot tub. No courtesy shuttle, they did but only up and down Nicollet Mall. 250 dollar incidental fee seems a bit steep, but I got it knocked down to fifty, as a one time thing. Because of that fee I will not be back.
Review 124:The staff was helpful.
Review 125:I slept cold until I figured out the a/c was on.
Review 126:Loved exercise facilities, walking distance to lots of restaurants and easy access to light rail to get to and from the airport.
Review 127:We turned thermostat up for a little more heat. The problem was during the night every time the heat finished running there was a loud "CLUNK" that would wake me up!
Review 128:Very courteous, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room.Very good breakfast in the restaurant. The doormen were especially courteous and helpful.
Review 129:Housekeeping slammed the door next door at least 60 times before my husband finally had to go out and tell her to knock it off. It was a rude way to wake up.
Review 130:Our view of the downtown of Minneapolis was stunning. The bathroom was beautiful, very modern and the last minute rate we got on the room was terrific.
Review 131:Didn't feel safe and had an issue in the entrance of the hotel. Party going on with younger group and my oldest was surrounded. They wanted to fight him for whatever reason and we bailed. Not what ya want to happen on a family vacation.
Review 132:I didn't like that we had to pay parking, had no access to wifi in our room. Had no refrig or micro in our room.
Review 133:that it was easy to get to the confvention center
Review 134:staff was not welcoming or pleasant except in snack/coffee shop. Prices were outrageous, food in restaurant was awful, service poor, it is the worst Hyatt I have ever stayed in. would never stay here again.
Review 135:proximity to convention center
Review 136:Not enough places in our room for both my husband and I to put up our clothing while we were there. Also wish WiFi were free in guest rooms.
Review 137:Great Staff--everyone was very helpful. Nice bathroom, too!
