Reviews for Hutton Hotel

Review 1:There was tons of dust built up in the AC vents that was kind of gross and the room I stayed in was very small, but it was really nice so can't complain too much.

Review 2:Turndown service, managers happy hour is great, loved the products in the bathroom and the shower head!!!!

Review 3:I believe the parking is a little ridiculous also it's a little farther from Broadway than booking.com made me believe.

Review 4:Very nice hotel with very friendly staff. The decor of the rooms and lobby is very elegant. The bed is very comfortable and taxis are fairly easy to get.

Review 5:Although I did enjoy our stay, I do feel like the room could have been a little cleaner. I know I was in the pet friendly area, but I felt like the top blanket had just been placed back on the bed as there were animal hairs that were not from my pets (different color and length). Also, I found a couple clothing tags on the floor in various areas of the room.

Review 6:This place was great! The location was ideal for spending NYE downtown. It was a very short walk to all the festivities. The area felt very safe. The staff was excellent and very helpful with anything we needed. This hotel is SUPER pet friendly and I think my dogs got spoiled by all the attention that was given to them. They especially enjoyed their "welcome package" of treats, bandanas, and bones! As a side note, the shower is amazing!

Review 7:Despite check in time being three pm our second rom was not ready until after 4 pm.

Review 8:very friendly staff through out our whole stay. The courtesy shuttle bus

Review 9:Dried blood on bathroom floor and toilet Housekeeping staff was using the room phone for an outside call when we returned in the evening and stayed on the phone until after they were done. Slow drains not fixed.

Review 10:Valet and check in staff were really good.

Review 11:It was very confusing to get into the hotel from the garage. Then we gave up & tried to get to the valet station, even more frustrating. The toilet in the bathroom ran most of the evening. But being that it was around midnight when i noticed, i decided to ignore it, but i woke up constantly and that toilet was "singing" the night away. I do think it was a bit pricey for an off weekend for one day. Almost $300 dollars.

Review 12:Great location, i've never stayed in that area. But had it not been raining it would have been great to walk to lunch or dinner. A host of hotels and dining options in the area; from fast casual to just plain fast. I wish i had taken pictures of the shower, there was a rainfall shower head in our bathroom. We're kind of spoiled due to that shower now. I was asked twice for any additional requests, I always want extra towels. There was a mindful exchange of that information through the staff and a solid turnaround to receive those towels. Vanderbilt is in the area, so if you plan on seeing a game or staying on game day, be mindful of the traffic. The staff was excellent. The room was very clean and it wasn't mentioned but there is turn down service. Lovely touch after a long day of shopping.

Review 13:It's a little pricey side but worth it.

Review 14:Excellent hotel staff! Room very clean and comfortable. Our group had a great time in Nashville! Their transportation shuttle was a lifesaver for us!

Review 15:Location is a bit away from downtown. A fairly easy walk, but not the nicest of walks along a busy road.

Review 16:Very nice rooms; helpful staff; good breakfasts and food at the grill; free shuttle to downtown

Review 17:Paying for parking was a drag.

Review 18:The staff were friendly and happy to help. The rooms were nice and clean, the bed was like laying on a cloud. The location was fantastic, close to downtown, the local bars were good as well.

Review 19:Chic and swanky boutique hotel. Loved the bedroom, such comfortable beds and pillows. Gorgeous bathroom with glass sink and rainforest shower. Great lobby and bar and attentive, pleasant and smart staff. Stunning. Christine Walters, Swansea.

Review 20:The elevators were a little slow responding but nit picking here!

Review 21:Great hotel, friendly staff and terrific shuttle service downtown. Great location to go to Nissan Stadium.

Review 22:Italian restaurant a bit hit and miss. Had the chicken parmigiana first night and was delicious, was so good that had same again another time and had watery sauce slopping around my plate making the crispy breadcrumbs soggy. Waitress staff very good. Tables need to be wiped with a damp cloth!!! I leaned back in my chair and the light caught many rings on the table from the bottom of wine glasses, my wife's side of the table was sticky, I moved us to another table. Go and check and you will see nearly all the marble topped tables are the same. Damp cloth and wipe dry!!!!

Review 23:charm, history and style

Review 24:Our room had an inter leading door so we could hear our neighbors a bit.

Review 25:Wonderful hotel! Clean with good size rooms and bathrooms. Great value for money and the beds were super comfy.

Review 26:N/A

Review 27:Friendly staff; free WiFi; FREE shuttle service--in a Tesla, no less! Good location--near downtown but far enough not to be in the middle of noise/crowds.

Review 28:We weren't told about the shuttle and heard staff tell everyone as they checked in and were never told. We hired cabs everywhere we went. Also there wasn't any vending machines or anywhere to get night stacks. Also there was no pool or anywhere to site out during the nights or days if you wanted to get some sun.

Review 29:The staff for excellent and always welcoming. The rooms were out of this world. Loved the washroom and shower.

Review 30:toilet was broke had to have fixed when we checked in at midnight. handicap room, bathroom door impossible to open and close

Review 31:very nice upscale different

Review 32:Can't think of a single thing.

Review 33:The staff at this hotel we're welcoming and incredibly helpful the lobby is super comfy and was a cool place to hang out with friends before we split up to our separate rooms. They allow pets which I think is really cool. We didn't have one but made a note for the future!

Review 34:Everything was great! They have the best staff... from the concierge to the valet. I can not say enough about everyone that works there. I will defiantly stay there the next time i an in Nashville!

Review 35:Evening turn down service was erratic. Some nights they did it and left water and chocolates, other nights they did not.

Review 36:The front desk was helpful and accomodating.

Review 37:We previously stayed in another hotel for a few nights that was only $30 cheaper and absolutely awful. Nashville isn't a cheap city, but this hotel is 100% worth the extra cost. So clean, so kind, and the best sleep my husbad and I had in a long time!

Review 38:I honestly was not displeased with anything.

Review 39:The staff were so helpful and made getting around very easy. The shuttle to downtown was convenient. The location was fantastic, close to downtown but also close to the trendy Gulch. The food at the hotel is great!

Review 40:This is a tip rather than a bad experience. The shuttle service is so good that it can get busy so if you want to use it always leave extra time & grab a drink in the bar while you wait. We never waiting more than 15/20 mins...

Review 41:We loved our stay at the Hutton, the staff were amazing, very helpful & so friendly (especially the valet team & Laura the concierge). The breakfasts were delicious & our room was super. The shuttle bus into town is such a great service.

Review 42:No pool, no balconies, no outdoor area! Green hotel - not, did not see one recycling container nor anything remotely green! Room carpet was filthy! Shuttle service was a lengthy wait always! Arrival Concierge was pitiful!

Review 43:Loved the 1808 restaurant and Paul's superior service

Review 44:Couldn't use the pool/spa. It was closed (for renovation?). Also, whilst it's not far from the main area of Nashville, the walk is not easy (especially with a stroller) - a bit dangerous actually with the passing traffic.

Review 45:The hotel is beautiful. Has a great feel as soon as you walk through the door. I loved the complimentary Nespresso and thought the gym was terrific. We stayed in about 8 different hotels on our USA trip and this, along with The Modern in Hawaii was our favourite.

Review 46:On Friday night of our stay, we went into the bar to eat a late dinner. The bar offered food service until 9:30 pm and we arrived shortly after 9. Our waitress took our order and disappeared. We finally got our food but she never returned to fill our drinks, gets us another cocktail or ask how things were. I believe the che3eseburgers we got (without any condiments) were approx. $20/each. Because of this poor service, we didn't eat in the bar or restaurant again.

Review 47:For the most part I liked everything.

Review 48:Air condition in room was awful. However, staff was very understanding & addressed the issue (although the issue wasn't fixed before we left hotel)

Review 49:Staff were very friendly & accomodating.

Review 50:That we didn't spend longer there as we was just passing through for one night after watching the Rolling Stones in nashville

Review 51:Spotlessly clean, reception staff very helpful and polite, overall really nice hotel

Review 52:the spa was a little lacking and for any specialty services you had to leave the hotel I didn't care for that.

Review 53:the shuttle service to and from any venue in the three mile area of the hotel made it so we never had to worry about driving and finding limited parking we were able to go and just enjoy ourselves

Review 54:We liked everything especiallyt he staff they were very helpful. My wife has celiac and the staff was able to recommend several area restaurants . Also the hotel restaurant was able to accommodate this need as well.

Review 55:None at all

Review 56:The pricing on a hotel that nice and location was unbelievably cheap. Perfect temperature in the room, I honestly didn't want to leave the bed it was so comfortable, we also had a women bring us ice, bottled water, and chocolate candy to our room 20 min after we got in it. Daniel was very helpful during check in and checking out. I'm very pleased I must say and I will be returning to the Hutton Hotel in downtown Nashville Tn.

Review 57:Can't think of a thing The price was very nice in comparison to other places to stay in Nashville. A $5 Uber ride took us to the downtown area. We had a great time, no negatives.

Review 58:My husband had come from a conference at Vanderbilt; the location was excellent. We were in what I would consider 'mid-town' It was within walking distance to some really nice eating and drinking establishments.

Review 59:The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable, the staff was always nice and helpful, and the hotel shuttle was a bonus. One of the best hotel stays I've had in recent memory. The location is a little out of the downtown core (20-25 min walk), but not a bother. If I go back to Nashville I will definitely stay here again.

Review 60:Free high speed wifi should be available in the guest rooms, and having to login each day of our stay was a nuisance.

Review 61:Excellent service, wonderful restaurant and lovely accommodations. Loved the Expresso machines on every floor!

Review 62:Shuttle service was very spotty. Crew never knew where it was. Didn't return messages. Required long waits. Don't expect to use it. We had 3 people in the room and it was regularly set up for 2 so we had to consistently call and ask for another cup or robe, etc.

Review 63:Exercise room. Availability of tea and coffee in room.

Review 64:.Location .Wish they offered an airport pickup/drop off

Review 65:Staff was very friendly. Thank goodness for the courtesy shuttle. Because there was not much around you needed a cab to get to almost everywhere.

Review 66:We had a great time on our first trip to Nashville the Hutton was a great choice I felt so relaxed and rested while staying here.. We both run full time businesses so we needed a trip where we could enjoy resting and sightseeing and the showers and bed in our king suite was more than amazing I took 2 showers a day because I loved it so much!

Review 67:Internet was somewhat slow, but ok for basics like email.

Review 68:The room was very clean with an amazing shower and towels. Staff were attentive and friendly. It was about a 4.00 uber ride to downtown.

Review 69:Sink faucet was low and my hands would touch the sink to get them both under the faucet. Parking was expensive, but every larger city the parking is expensive so it was to be expected but at a hotel of this nightly rate you would expect parking to be included.

Review 70:Inside, Rooms, Location

Review 71:Hallways were extremely cold - no one could explain why. Coffee service was out of water and when asked for help from a hotel employee he refused to go downstairs for more water. Check in is cumbersome with a crowded lobby and 2 individuals sitting at desks. Twice went to the bar for cocktails and waited 20 minutes for anyone to even take an order.

Review 72:Matt the concierge was extremely helpful!

Review 73:Parking. Expensive at this location ($25 for self park - recommended! or $35 a day for valet) Bar is very overpriced & not open late. Also did not like being charged for three separate taxes (City, State & occupancy - added $40 a night)

Review 74:Great overall hotel. Very Clean. Very Friendly staff. Updated/Modern fixtures. Quiet location. Free wine tastings! Excellent food at 1808 Grille. Offer a Tesla to take you up to a 3 mile radius for free!

Review 75:We had dinner at the bar/restaurant on first night, (a Thursday). The waiter was a bit preoccupied with other people in the bar. We ordered a great burger and when we were finished we had to sit around for a while waiting to place our after dinner drink order. We may have been somewhat tired from traveling but we took his behavior as rude. After that,(Fri,Sat, Sun) we had different staff who were way more attentive and pleasant to talk with.

Review 76:Consierge was great help getting the tickets we wanted for a live show.

Review 77:The staff and the hotel was amazing! They accommodated my group when we were getting ready for the wedding. When we returned after our wedding they had champagne and roses ready for us.

Review 78:All of the staff, including the valet workers were very friendly, knowledgable, and went out of their way to assist us. We felt very welcomed and were sad when we had to leave. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was very neat, and the facility in general was in excellent condition. Will definitely be staying there again!

Review 79:I feel for the amount of money they charge, the wifi could of been better.. The alarm clock could be hooked up to your iPhone 4 or earlier, but who still uses and iPhone 4 or older?

Review 80:The rooms are very nice and comfy, bathroom are really nice, especially the shower. The bed was ok but then agin I'm use to my sleep number bed.

Review 81:The check-in area seems awkward. The traditional counter works on a lot of levels.

Review 82:It was luxurious with a relaxed atmosphere. Liked the interior design, expresso machine, the view from our room, the free happy hour.

Review 83:Linens and toilet paper could have been more upscale for the price. And complimentary coffee in the lobby would have been a nice addition instead of having to brew your own in your room.

Review 84:Great location and friendly welcoming staff. Bar is a great place to people watch. Appreciated the complimentary local newspaper.

Review 85:My only complaint is one of the staff (woman) in the restaurant 1808 was rude. We had 3 interactions with her and her attitude and words were rude each time. The sad thing is she appeared to be a manager. Our server was great.

Review 86:Everything was just perfect for our weekend getaway. The room and bed were very clean and comfortable. The hotel room was also very quiet. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful in all interactions.

Review 87:Nothing negative to say

Review 88:Friendly welcome. Liked the coffee machines on each floor. . Quick breakfast kiosk idea - excellent. Very good food in restaurant. We felt liked valued guests.

Review 89:It snowed the day we were leaving and there was no way of getting to the airport- it would hav even nice to have the hotel organize a shuttle given the lack of taxi's around

Review 90:The staff were super friendly

Review 91:Birthday trip for my husband so I booked a more deluxe hotel for our first night. Very standard accommodations and the room was way smaller than two other hotels we stayed at in Nashville and Bowling Green that were less than 1/2 the price. The glass sink, while beautiful, did not have room to put toiletries.

Review 92:Good location and nicely appointed room.

Review 93:It was all good!

Review 94:We headed to Nashville for both business and pleasure. The staff were so helpful to get us to all the sights we needed to see and also get us out on time for business appointments. The restaurant 1808 was excellent and the coffee in the morning perfect. Maps and directions were freely given and they even helped go over the room on check out to be sure nothing was left behind. They found my phone charger!

Review 95:Location was a little further from the action than we thought. If the weather was nicer, the walk downtown would have been fine being that it was a little over a mile.

Review 96:Staff was very friendly and the shuttle service to downtown was nice.

Review 97:Parking was a little confusing (self or valet and congested pull-in area), shuttle was never available when we wanted to use it, had to request caffeinated coffee in our room (only decaf, what???).

Review 98:The comfort of the room, toiletries, room service, check-in and out process, fantastic staff.

Review 99:Loved staying at Hotel Hutton and will do it again next time through. Staff is courteous and helpful at every turn and the location is perfect. The courtesy shuttle makes getting around locally a breeze!

Review 100:Had hiccups with the front desk regarding billing and delivery of items to the rooms.

Review 101:Beautiful hotel with friendly welcoming staff. Free shuttle to attractions but sign up early. Restaurant is terrific.

Review 102:Parking a bit pricey but balances out with free wifi

Review 103:The staff was uber friendly from dining room to housekeeping to front desk personnel. They made us feel like they were there only for our comfort and benefit. Room was immaculate and comfortable. Loved the happy hour with half price food. Great location between downtown and west end. Super easy to hop onto freeway. Amenities were first class. Definitely worth a return visit.

Review 104:Noises neighbors and foul order from the bathroom plumbing. Thankfully the front desk moved me to a better room.

Review 105:This was my first stay here and I'll definitely be back!! The shower is the best ever!!

Review 106:The room décor is a bit garish and the room was much smaller than expected.

Review 107:1818 was great and the walk-in shower was much more luxurious than the room.

Review 108:Wi-Fi was free but it wasn't that strong.

Review 109:The location and design of the interior of the hotel is fresh and modern. The 1808 restaurant is fabulous, as is it's bar! And the staff is the best part of the mix. They are enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and respectful. It is a perfect storm.

Review 110:Room Size...Bed & chairs overpowered the room. very little room to get around. Bath was good size and comfortable

Review 111:Staff was courteous & Helpful. Location was great...centrally located...Lots of good dining in the area.

Review 112:Room wasn't ready and wasn't going to be for several hours after check in time due to "some VIPs" who didn't get out on time. We downgraded to a room that was ready, albeit tiny. Paper didn't arrive in the morning until we called twice. We asked guest relations to have our car brought around and ready for us but after 10 minutes or more it wasn't out there, nor had the valet been told to bring it up. Service staff uses same elevators as guests so cleaning carts were in the way of guests. Sadly the cleaning staff didn't defer to the guests getting on and on several occasions I saw some guests having to wait for the next elevator. Really? Too bad. It's a good concept. Rooky mistakes.

Review 113:Good location but construction makes it difficult to get in and out.

Review 114:The walls were relatively thin so we heard the group of women in the room next door at about 3 a.m. I did alert the mgmt. who sent up security immediately. I suspect the women had no idea they could be heard, and were quiet as soon as it was brought to their attention. We were given a small credit for our trouble. Very kind.

Review 115:Very modern decor, courteous and helpful staff, comfortable rooms and amenities. Perfect location.

Review 116:I assumed that the fee amount about at booking would be the total but it wasn't. We had a $24.00 parking fee at the hotel that we didn't expect. It would just be nice to know those hidden cost before booking.

Review 117:The hotel is beautiful and in in great Midtown location. You can walk to great resturants if you chose and many more are just a 1-2 minute drive away. The staff was excellent and our room was modern but very comfortable. Overall a terrific stay!

Review 118:Staying at the Hutton was delightful. the staff wee very friendly, professional and helpful. It was our anniversary and they even sent up a bottle of wine. Everything was clean and the bed the most comfortable I have seen at a hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 119:Most time spent in a hotel is in bed. Our king mattress was sunken in the middle and lacked reasonable even support. Both my wife and my backs were in pain both mornings of our stay.

Review 120:The shower was fabulous, and the styling was refreshingly different and contemporary. Loved the rectangle toilet!

Review 121:No wash cloths in bathroom, wrong newspaper furnished in morning, room service pancakes were overcooked.

Review 122:Friendly staff, clean & relaxing room, nice lounge.

Review 123:Elevators were very slow New Year's Day brunch could have had many more options for the $28 price charged.

Review 124:We were extremely impressed by the hotel staff at the Hutton. Laura at the Concierge Desk was so helpful and informative she should train all concierge associates! The additional lobby staff were all GREAT! They worked as a cohesive team to make sure that all needs were met at any time of the day. Corey and Dennis in the bar/restaurant area were also great.

Review 125:Little dog next door barked the entire evening .

Review 126:From the moment we walked in the staff was attentive and provided excellent services. The bar and restaurant were excellent . View of downtown was amazing. Highly recommend this property.

Review 127:Rooms were a bit on the small size and could have used more drawer space. Elevator was slow.

Review 128:The staff at the Hutton was very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary shuttle was generally available, even during the busy New Years period. The Nespresso machines on each floor are a nice touch.

Review 129:Bed wasn't up to standards of a four or five star hotel but perhaps it was/is simply a matter of preference. On site restaurant "ok" but very heavy handed and should be better in today's culinary world

Review 130:Hutton is sufficiently large to provide all amenities but small enough to be personal, friendly and exclusive.

Review 131:Overnight parking was expensive. Only cleanliness issue was coffee drips on the baseboards below light switch in our room. Just makes bad impression.

Review 132:Great staff! King suite was perfect for two dogs and a teen. Fitness center was nice. Nespresso machine on hall is nice touch. Awesome showers, too. Great location.

Review 133:Parking way to expensive for the location out of town. Grill and dinner menu very sparse. Waiter a bit of a snob. However, the 16 oz ribeye was fantastic.

Review 134:Comfortable and clean. Expresso machines on every floor.

Review 135:Traveling with a pet necessitates planning for housekeeping services (daily room cleaning). It wasn't very easy coordinating that at the Hutton Hotel.

Review 136:I had a few problems, and management promptly took care of them.

Review 137:We stayed at the Hutton over Christmas for a 2-night stay and everything was outstanding - from the level of service of each of the staff to lunch at the 1808 Grille to our room. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable. We'll definitely be staying here again.

Review 138:Business center is very small no chair located behind the front desk. I would suggest to make it bigger and more private.

Review 139:Fitness Room was great and it provided bottled water.
