Review 1：We booked two rooms, one King Room and one Twin Room. However, when we checked-in, the hotel staff said there was no more King Room. It was a great disappointment as our little boy used to sleep with us. The hotel should have informed us earlier if it did not have any King Room available. It should not take our booking but not providing us with what we had booked.

Review 2：The undergroun tunnel linking the hotel with the public pool is very convenient. The breakfast is great.

Review 3：The furniture in the room and the overall aspect of it, some unqualified staff (18 years single malt served on the rocks...). These are more 3 stars equivalent.

Review 4：Great breakfast buffet, the spa, the pools, some qualified staff. All these are 4 stars qualified.

Review 5：Indoor and a very nice outdoor pool, sauna, etc. in the hotel is included in the room price. The hotel is right next to the Alpentherme, it is located close to the bus station (300m) and to the Torrent cable car for skiing (600m) and to the sport center (600m). Breakfast is one of the best we ever had, with a huge choice and healthy food. The Restaurant Sacré bon right over the street can be recommended as well (4 dishes for CHF 45). Double rooms are definitely worth CHF 170 per night.

Review 6：The hotel is a in hillside from bus station. As we had not confirmed our arrive time to Leukerbad, this we did not arrange hotel pick up from bus station. We walked to the hotel and thus quite tired.

Review 7：Nice staff and arrangement of hotel. Even we checked out the room, we can still enjoy the spa in the hotel. Discount to nearby spa is a must to go. Nice hotel spa. Free pick up and drop off by hotel.

Review 10：My reservation specifically requested a twin room, i.e. 2 single beds. Hotel pretended this was not specified! Our room had a double bed with 2 separate mattresses which hotel said they considered to be a 'twin' room! Not very pleasant for 2 lady friends celebrating their 70th birthdays!

Review 28：The reception staff we met this time was unhelpful, incompetent and almost rude. Upon check-in, she could not find our reservation, although I spelled our last name and informed that the booking was made through Booking.com. After many trials with our first names, she finally found our booking which mistaken the first name as the last name. Then, she insisted that the mistake was on my side! Anyone used booking.com knows that the last name and first name are clearly indicated during booking! Despite the fact that we visited this hotel almost every year, some year even twice, they never noticed when we checked in that we were returning guests with the same last name every time. It seems strange nowadays with computer registration. This time even worse, they even mixed the last name with first name during reservation! Although we booked the best category room, its furnish and the bathroom are dated and not renewed in the last 20 years, as several reviewers already stated. There is a plastic cover under the bed sheet which made the sleeping very uncomfortable. After an almost sleepless night, I had to take this plastic out. If the cost was 150 CHF/night, one could have accepted the poor service and uncomfortable bed, but with >300 CHF/night, this service level is just not acceptable!

Review 29：The in-house thermal pools and wellness facility are really nice. The three thermal water pools are the only reason why we return to this hotel year after year since 1996. The porter, who has been in the hotel several years, has been as friendly and helpful as always. He drove us to the lift station and pick up our car. The breakfast is of good quality, especially the coffee from the express machine.

Review 39：A very nice welcome at the reception. Clear explanations from the receptionist. We were accommodated at the 19th century building "Hotel de France" next to the main building. There was an elevator and a warm tunnel guiding to the spa-center.

Review 45：This is not clear in the hotel description, but the hotel actually has a SPA facility, 1 inside pool and 1 outdoor pool, both with hot water; so you only have to pay if you want to go to the "Alpentherme" which is in the building next to the hotel and offer larger pools; but for me the hotel pool was enough. Good breakfast, the quality is not outstanding, but they have a large offer. Good cocktails at the bar. Bed quality was good

Review 46：The hotel has been sold and is waiting for the new owners to take over. Neither staff nor management, however, seem interested in continuing to run the hotel. Every stay we have had in last two years was worse than the last one. It just seems that the staff cares less each time.

As a four stars hotel keeping superiorstandards, you could (and should) afford to offer your guests freewifi connection in the rooms and not charge chf 10.- per hour.
