Review 1：Had booked a king room. When i checked in around midnight I was told I was upgraded to a junior suite, which was more like a 3 star apartment and in truth a significant down-grade. The junior suite turned out to be a more or less empty apartment, among the residential apartments. Staff did not answer the phone so I had to walk back down to the reception. Staff could not move me to a room as they had oversold the hotel but offered to move me back the next day. The manager in charge the next morning gave me USD 50 off but treated the issue very poorly rather than apologising. Generally I do not think it is a 5 star hotel at all, rather 4-.

Review 2：Restaurant, nice pool area

Review 3：Staff on reception desk wasn't able to answer one of our questions. We asked for a way to town and to Miami Beach. Answer: This is only possible by taxi. In reality it's a ten minute walk on the Bayside, from where you can pick up a watertaxi, a bus or the hop-on/hop-off bus (very good with three diffrent lines). Other day: how much is the trip to Fort Lauderdale by taxi. Three persons at the desk, but no imagination about the price. Poor!

My credit card didn't work after the first night I was treated poorly they had me removed from the room by security I had guests that came the manager wouldn't even comply with me I finally got the money he had a no post put on my account he also had the bar cleaned out in front of guests the valet wouldn't store our car they charged $733.81 they were very snobbish adittude was the worst I feel like this if I'm not rich or wealthy forget about it

Review 12：In the room, coffee machine was not working, there were no hangers, the kitchen hob glass was broken, our door card entry was out of battery, bathroom door was very dusty; there were no soaps in the restaurant ladies restrooms. These were all attended when we raised but it was still frustrating. I have stayed at Santa Monica Viceroy before and was very pleased so this poor experience was an unpleasant surprise. Also valet parking is 36 USD and the car comes back with dirt each time, apparently they do not put it in a closed garage so not worth it.

Review 16：This is definitely not a 5* hotel! The staff at the reception was unfriendly, the room wasn't as you expected it from the pictures on their website. We had a coffee machine in the room , but it was broken. And there wasn't any bottle of complimentary water available.

Review 25：From the moment we checked in we received issues. Our credit card was not on file as confirmed and therefore caused embarrassment with our friends when the staff knocked on our door requesting payment as we asked for the breakfast to be charged to our room. The toilet overflowed twice and we as guests cleaned the bathroom. We requested housekeeping to setup the pull out bed for our daughter and they never came. However the worst issue was finding drug paraphernalia on our balcony, found by our daughter. The only thing the hotel offered us was free drinks.

We walked to the Hyatt every night and ate in their little bar - great place by the way. Review 31：Booked Viceroy for 5 nights with a water view instead had a room facing Brickel avenue which is very noisy normally due to heavy traffic. I requested of having a bottle of champagne and two glasses on my arrival which the hotel staff seemed to forgot about it. What really got into my nerves was that three days in a row had to chase the customer service / reception staff to send someone to clean the room do the beds replace towels etc Found that really outrages for a high class hotel they call themselves. The pool is beautiful but please bare in mind that is in between very high up buildings and the sun is limited either in the morning or afternoon. The breakfast options was just a few. Only had breakfast there once! Based on all these reasons I ended up grabbing my bags and went to Epic hotel ( over the bridge) where I stayed for the past 2-3 nights at a even cheaper rate per room and where the service never failed.

Review 42：The crowd is sketchy, wear cover-ups people this is a city hotel. The towels are lacking, one washcloth and no bathrobes in Deluxe room, one robe in Jr. suite. Club 50 should have a dress code.

Review 43：Pool is enormous between 3.5 to 4.5 feet deep on the 15th floor with stunning views. Not much lobby. Cantina 20 restaurant is excellent. Capital Grille, Tamarina and Trulucks all great dining options. Paid under $200

Review 44：I hated the fact that the hotel's nightclub completely overruns the front of the hotel, with a long line of people waiting to get in. It's really hard to get onto the hotel property, drop off the car at the valet, etc., on weekend nights. At the very least, they should make sure that nightclubbers do not ruin the experience of hotel guests.

Review 46：The receptionist was quite rude. There has been mistake between Booking.com and Viceroy apparently. I asked over the phone for the higher floor and to prepare something for our anniversary with my boyfriend. The person on the phone agreed and when I arrived to the hotel few days later with my boyfriend they could not find my booking information (even though I had everything printed), the receptionist was not apologising and quite agressively asked if I really booked it, offered me to book the more expensive room but when saw my boyfriend calling Booking.com they suddenly found an available room for the same rate I booked. Even after the mistake was confirmed on on the Viceroy's behalf by booking.com, they did not apologize and did not prepare anything for our anniversary. Doubt will stay there ever again just because of poor reception service.

Review 52：We felt the parking was a bit overpriced, the hotel front was always crowded with club goers, and people trying to check in our out, cars always blocking, very busy area. The signage upon driving in was not well marked as to where to go. We waited for 20 minutes for ice (on the 2nd day) and luckily our maid came to service the room and was able to accomadate us. Alot of road noise, found it hard to sleep at night, my wife is a light sleeper, seemed like there could be better sound proofing to block out the noise.

Review 53：The staff were all exceptional, we enjoyed breakfast at the hotel and lunch, the staff there were also amazing, very personal, and focused on the customers, we felt the food was very good, and not over pricey (we had the breakfast buffet, and lunch). Beautiful pool area, well kept. Enjoyed the use of the lotions, soaps, conditioners, etc. Thought the towel service at the pool was great.

And everytime i call asking about it they say its on its way lol!! On its way for 7 hours!!!! - when i first arrive the TV wasn't working! Sound but no picture - Rope and flip flops are only by request !! And when i asked for them it took a long time to get to my room!! They said cuz they gave it to the wrong room at first lol! - Wifi only worked on the first two days! - room wasn't clean! Specially under the cabnit next to the bed. - hated the smell of all the products in the bathroom. - seems like the staff don't fully understand the informaiton they have of this hotel!! Misleading - really expensive valet parking! 36 $ a night - they will sure over charge you for something! Check your final bill good !! Happened to me and two people were a head of me when checking out! Cookies you haven't ate or a valet parking you haven't used...,etc I'm just saying i really really hated everything about this hotel !!! Really Bad experience and NO a fruit plate won't fix it.. Thank u! I sateyd for 5 nights and i would have left from the 2nd night if i didn't order all these packeges waiting them to be delivered to this address!!
