Reviews for Williamstown Motel

Review 1:Small room. Very little place for luggage. Poor breakfast - old and tasteless pastries from supermarket. Small breakfast area in the lobby. Expensive price for the room. Definitely not a king size bed as shown on the internet site.

Review 2:The staff was very nice and helpful

Review 3:Since we stayed two nights, there was no cleaning in between the two nights, we were just offered new towels after breakfas.

Review 4:Great location for access to Williams College and friendliness of staff.

Review 5:Needs updating. Only one outlet that could charge a phone. High priced for what you get. I would pay $99 for this but not $169.

Review 6:Convenient to williams college.

Review 7:This was a convenient location and the price was less than other nearby motels. The water was hot. Quick pre-packaged breakfast food and coffee is offered.

Review 8:I little "tired" in spots. Stains on the blankets.

Review 9:Despite the fact that the motel was full, and located right on the main road (route two), it was very quiet. Included breakfast was excellent. Couple who runs the morel could not be nicer or more concerned about keeping their guests happy.

Review 10:If you have a good agenda (theater, hiking, museums, I would highly recommend saving your money at this motel that covers all your basic needs. There is nothing to linger for so it gets you going. Its got a good location for going where you want to go.

Review 11:The room was extremely small with hardly any space to relax aside from the bed. Bed was ok and the wall mounted air conditioner was not as loud as others I've experienced.

Review 12:very clean, affordable, and very close to town. It had everything you would expect in a larger hotel including a microwave, frig, ironing board, hair dryer, flat screen tv with cable and wifi.

Review 13:Lack of lock on the door; no wi-fi; price; dated facilities.

Review 14:The staff is very nice. The facilities are very dated but clean. The wi-fi did not work during the one night we stayed here. The locks on the door would not lock - there was an old style chain lock. I don't think there is a lot of crime in Williamstown - there is nothing really there but Williams College. We had brought pastries with us from Boston for breakfast. We walked to the office and got coffee, yogurt and fruit and took it back to the room. The price of the room I considered rather high given the area and the outdated furnishings.

Review 15:Location was convenient but it's on a busy road as well.

Review 16:Proprietors were extremely helpful. They took pride in their business and were very accommodating.

Review 17:The room for two was very small. The building next to the motel had a light on in the eve and even with the curtain closed the light shined in :(((

Review 18:The owner was very pleasant. We enjoyed the breakfast yet not enough room. We would return yet we would request a different room.

Review 19:Hospitable service from the owners. Location convenient to Clark Institute Cleanliness. Outdoor area with umbrella table for a glass of wine before dinner. Good assortment of breakfast choices. Excellent value.

Review 20:Being so close to the main road makes it rather noisy. The bed was alittle tired, and very close to the wall on one side. You could not callthe room spacious.

Review 21:Location is convenient. The people are very friendly and helpful. Theroom and bath were very clean. The shower had better pressure than somemuch more expensive rooms. And the price is great.

Review 22:The owner and his father were extremely kind and made sure we had breakfast before we left for Williams College reunion events. We met someone who had just completed his Appalachian Trail hike and also the father of someone who was applying to Williams. Good people.

Review 23:The room needed blackout shades. The sun woke me too early. It was too easy to hear people in adjacent rooms. Luckily, the other guests were fairly quiet. Breakfast was basic stuff from the grocery and Dunkin Donuts. OK, but nothing special.

Review 24:Very affordable so close to the summer season. Good size room. Convenient to Mt. Greylock, the Clark & Williams College. Free internet & free breakfast.

Review 25:If I have to... well, the room was a bit on the smaller size; no bathtub, just a shower. Overall, nothing much to dislike.

Review 26:The owner was very friendly; continental breakfast was pretty good; a small fridge and a microwave in the room a big plus. A decent flat-screen TV was nice: many of these motels still have the CRT TV sets, filling half the room.

Review 27:The room was the size of a walk in closet. It smelled like a summer camp that had been closed all winter. There was no ht water in the shower and when it was turned on, the handle came off in my hand

Review 28:They gave us a queen bed (but we pay for a king or 2 queens), mild in the shower

Review 29:Price, staff, breakfast (compare to hotels of the same category). Small rooms but it did the job.

Review 30:The hotel is clean, equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The owners have a nice personal touch, including giving us a sweet welcome bag of goodies--ranging from water, to some sweets--the point is they tried to make the welcome something personal. Overall, an excellent experience and a motel I would highly recommend

Review 31:Very small, no closet. Should have a mirror in the bedroom part. Needs upgrade in bathroom on caulking. Shower water fixtures were backward.Hotwater marked cold and visa versa.

Review 32:Location

Review 33:A classic motel and amazing value for money. Room perfectly comfortable and clean which is really all you need. Position for us was great as we wanted to visit The Clarke in Williamstown and also Mass MoCA up the road in North Adams. Owners were delightful. Breakfast good for motel style.

Review 34:We went on parent's weekend for Williamstown (by accident) so the room was pricey, but we were glad to get it and it was worth the money since it fit our travel perfectly.

Review 35:Very clean, good Wi FI, very friendly staff. Nice location, well-maintained, felt very comfortable the whole time.

Review 36:Bathroom could have done with a better clean. Coffee maker didn't work.

Review 37:Friendly booking in and owner chatted with guests at breakfast. Good night's sleep. Food was nice quality.

Review 38:Perhaps the complementary breakfast could be improved - but I'm struggling to find a flaw!

Review 39:Everything - given the price we felt this was the best of the 13 hotels we stayed in on a recent tour of New England

Review 40:What a treasure. This was a darling room w/everything we needed. It was small, but very comfortable w/a wise use of space. It was a refurbished Motel from yesteryear and beautifully done. And the setting across from the Williamstown University was lovely. It had so much character and charm. The breakfast was a nicely done continental w/good choices for toast, cereal, juices and they even had fresh strawberries!! We definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area. You will be pleasantly pleased.

Review 41:room very cramped, though had all necessary facilities. Not sure, but may have gotten bed bug bites.

Review 42:Price, convenience, staff, good (for us) breakfast included, property well maintained. Room had fridge and microwave. Bed good and firm.

Review 43:Nothing major. Maybe dust off exhaust fan in bathroom. Add shower curtain liner.

Review 44:- Price - convenient location - Extremely nice staff - could not be nicer, eager to please. - Comfortable - new mattresses in many rooms including ours

Review 45:Forgot how noisy a motel can be with travelers coming and going in cars so close to your door.

Review 46:Location for theater very good . Room was clean and staff very friendly and helpful

Review 47:Room was very small inadequate electrical outlets for modern grounded recepticals, etc. also no space to put luggage etc.

Review 50:Very friendly and caring staff. Great location. The owner reimbursed me for the inconvenience without any hesitation.

Review 51:Nothing.
