Reviews for Delray Breakers on the Ocean
Review 1:We spent two nights here after five days in the Keys. It was quiet, uncrowded and has a lovely beach. The room was large and it had a great view of the ocean and pool from the balcony.
Review 2:Could use some patch on walls, a coat of paint. Remove old décor (metal wall hangings).Ants. I know that's common in sandy locals. It was addressed when mentioned.
Review 3:Location, layout, coffee & donuts, game room, location, pool.
Review 4:Some updating is in order, but part of the charm of this place is its homey, old-fashioned, un-slick accommodations.
Review 5:Very relaxing setting with easy access to the wonderful beach with lounge chairs and cabanas provided. With the presence of the dunes along the shore, this is a great area for walking and collecting shells! Easy access (with a rental car) to stores, restaurants, and local attractions. And friendly staff.
Review 6:Very dated facility. Doesn't look like anything has been updated in 20 years except for a carpet that matches nothing. Screens are bent; drawers don't function, obvious water damage, furniture is piecemeal collection of everything imaginable. Location alone can't justify this rate.
Review 7:Location was excellent - close proximity to the ocean.
Review 8:Nothing
Review 9:Very very clean suite. Beautiful location right on the beach. Free wifi, free breakfast, free parking! Five to ten minutes to downtown Delray. Staff friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this property.
Review 10:None
Review 11:The staff was more than helpful at finding the information we needed and the location and amenities were excellent. I would definitely recommend this place
Review 12:Very shabbily furnished. Rug was very dirty. Furniture very very old. Air conditioning old fashioned. I did not feel comfortable, until I was on the beach. Pool was very small and too many children.
Review 13:Great location and fairly clean. Needs a total facelift.
Review 14:The noise factor at night, we had noisy neighbors, who also let their dog in the common area.
Review 15:The bed was extremely comfortable! The kitchen was dated but well equipped with everything I needed. The housekeeping was great and thorough.
Review 16:A man at the front desk was very aloof. I cannot remember his name.
Review 17:proximity. Pool beach
Review 18:nothing
Review 19:Location and chance to have great grandchildren visit us and enjoy the beach and pool.
Review 20:Amazing beach and exciting downtown
Review 21:AC broke and we had to switch rooms
Review 22:beautiful beach
Review 23:I like the fact that it was old fashion like back in the day. cant find places like that any more.nice and quite and clean.
Review 24:If u have children it can be boring for them unless they find other kids in the pool..The staff is excellent..it is really a quiet place !!!!
Review 25:Loved everything
Review 26:AC was not working properly, buildings are in need of repairs.
Review 27:The beach and the pool.
Review 28:a bit dated. Breakfast meager.
Review 29:Location, staff, pool, beach, price. Roominess of one bedroom units.
Review 30:quiet beach front. Super clean and spacious apartment like space for leisure and rest.
Review 31:old and parking is cramped and understandable guarded from locals
Review 32:private beach spacious
Review 33:As in any other hotel one stays at, the guests may be inconsiderate. This is not the fault of The Breakers.
Review 34:Spaciousness and location.
Review 35:Cleanliness of the grounds could have been better Front desk people could have been friendlier :)
Review 36:The locatin is great! Quiet and secluded
Review 37:Great location, family oriented and reasonably priced. A little older hotel but extremely clean. Would stay there again definitely!
Review 38:Room with coke macHine closed by 7. No coffee at 710.had to find housekeeping to get machine working
Review 39:Location and available items in room so you had everything close by
Review 40:-Could've had a broader selection on breakfast.
Review 41:-Location. -Great room and layout. -Didn't feel like I was in a hotel. -Free cabanas on beach. -Computer access with printer. -Pool table room
Review 42:Checking in. They told me they were open until 9. I had flown down for a family event in West Palm Beach and left early to get there before 9. There was a key in an envelope in an outside box. Grrrr. I could have stayed longer. The next morning a different guy said they now closed at 8. Probably wont stay again. They said I was the last room but there were only 3 rooms filled. I could have gone to the Sands for the same price. Meager breakfast.
Review 43:The ocean!!!!!!
Review 44:The only complaint, it could use some improvements on weather worn surfaces.
Review 45:I really liked the charm and location, it is a feel of the 60's. Trolley can take you downtown, it is convenient to all. Yet, when you are on the property life transforms...
Review 46:Sofa bed was not in good shape. Needed new springs. The place is a little worn but charming.
Review 47:The location is fantastic. The size of the apartments is surprisingly roomy and comfortable. Access to pool and beach is wonderful and it is close to E. Atlantic restaurants and other conveniences.
Review 48:The kitchen and bathroom really needed renovation. The furnishings are very dated although the tv's are newer flat screens The bed was very old and uncomfortable. The room was fairly clean considering the age of the bathroom and kitchen areas.
Review 49:Great location on the ocean. The grounds are well maintained.
Review 50:I found out when I booked a second day that Booking.com had not asked me if I was a member of AAA, therefore I didn't get a discount to which I was entitled since I am a member.
Review 51:Their desk people were terrific. They were extremely accommodating, and really made you feel at home. The proximity to the beach was excellent. I wished I could stay longer.
Review 52:Absolutely nothing at all!
Review 53:Excellent resort, right on the beach. Very spacious appartment with all facilities required. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Splendid location and lots of beach chairs and cabanas.
Review 54:Room a little long in the tooth; could use updating. Kitchen very small for an extended stay but fine for our purposes.
Review 55:Staff very friendly; no up-charges for sand chairs to take to beach or for cabana chairs. Free laundry. Suite was much larger than I expected - small kitchen, dining area, living area and bedroom.
Review 56:It's dated. While kept up very well, age is beginning to show through and I'm afraid newer and renovated hotels nearby will start to overshadow The Breakers.
Review 57:200' of private beach access with free cabanas. The only thing you pay for is what's in the vending machine! Very friendly staff!
Review 58:Some of the appliances need to be updated.
Review 59:Reminded me of of growing up in South FLA back in the 60's...a simpler time. Surrounding area and access to local businesses.
