Reviews for YVE Hotel Miami
Review 1:Was not aware I was being charged 12.95 for a paper or coffee I never drank or read. Very overpriced for a bed a tv with nothing else making it "special"
Review 2:Close to south beach and shops
Review 3:Noisy outside. Doors are very loud when closed, customers keep slamming them shut. No free breakfast Expensive taxi ride to airport, should supply shuttle, to compensate for the high price you have to pay for a night..
Review 4:Clean, fairly comfortable. Close to Bayside Marketplace Great staff
Review 5:We paid $1,000 for The room and it's was so small we could barely walk. There was no dresser, no fridge, no iron or hair dryer. The elevators take about 10 minutes to use because they are so slow
Review 6:Staff is great
Review 7:I've never been to a hotel where I paid so much per night and received absolutely nothing. There was no coffee maker in the room, there was no luggage rack in the room, there were no drawers in the room!! How does a hotel room not have any dresser drawers??? We had to leave our suitcases on the floor with all our clothes in them since there was no where to put them. One evening I tried to call room service for a pot of tea, the guy who answered the phone said that I should come down to the bar to get my tea and hung up on me. The bathroom was the size of the bathroom on an airplane. You can't even get undressed in the bathroom before taking a shower, and I'm small. The closet was bigger than the bathroom!! When we left the hotel for the airport we asked for a car from the concierge, she said that it is $30 flat rate, when I asked if I can pay by credit card she assured me and then reassured me that YES credit cards are accepted. When we got to the airport the driver started yelling at us that the concierge lied and if she wanted to accept credit cards then she should take the money etc etc, I had to give him the last of my cash. Definitely some sort of scam going on there. I regret booking a room in this hotel. Needless to say I will never stay at this hotel again!
Review 8:The only thing this hotel has going for it is that it's in a good location, for where we needed to be, the beds are pretty comfortable, and they have free wifi, which was not a big deal for us on this visit.
Review 9:Waited too long for the elevators. I requested extra towels and pillows upon arrival and this was not dealt with.
Review 10:The central location on Biscayne Blvd allows easy access to downtown and Brickell.
Review 11:Takes forever to get a lift in the morning. I had to put my suitcases in the lift and then make my family walk down 6 floors and collect them there as everyone is trying to check out at the same time.
Review 12:Location was fantastic
Review 13:Awful air-con which struggled to regulate room temperature accurately, and was extremely noisy. No soft blinds meant you needed the curtains shut if you wanted any privacy (as you were overlooked), which made the room very dark. They also only had two small lifts to service the whole building, which meant you could be waiting a good 15 minutes for a lift (which had room for you) if you hit it at peak times. Privacy was
Review 14:Great location for downtown Miami and the docks. Right next to main event area for New Years. Very clean and modern finish, and reasonably priced. Nice big tv and bed.
Review 15:There could be an improvement with the daily breakfasts provided. Food was cold and service was poor.
Review 16:The Hotel was in an excellent location and within walking distance to most amenities.
Review 17:Rude man on reception, quite a miserable person. Room location was very poor, the window to the outside was small and was recessed. The wind howled all night and we barely slept
Review 18:Location
Review 19:The ventilation system was noisy and couldn't be turned off (only the AC), which meant it sounded like running water from 6-7 am.
Review 20:The proximity to downtown and the contemporary style. The rooms were very clean and spacious.
Review 21:NA
Review 22:Reception staff were really helpful friendly and professional. Room service went out of way to provide child's meal by asking chef if he was prepared to cook something not on menu. Breakfast was great. Was getting on a cruise great location the port. Just perfect. Had a cough chemist just down stairs
Review 23:The bathroom is tiny. The wall is thin while all the doors slam with a big noise. AC made very loud noise.
Review 24:Excellent location. Cross street from Bayfront park, easy access to south beach and other attractions.
Review 25:- The bathroom smells sweat because there is no ventilation there (looks like the vents are completely blocked by dust) so we had to leave the bathroom door open in order not to suffocate. - Aircon in room was so loud that it was impossible for us to sleep with it on. No possibility to open the window either. Loud aircon seems to be a general issue with hotels in FL as we experienced the same thing with two other hotels, although we could open the windows in the other two hotels. - Only two small lifts so it was always congested in the morning rush hours.
Review 26:Excellent location right across the road from Bayside Market Place. Great view from the room if you are facing the right direction.
Review 27:3 stars hotel with no fridge in the room is a shame. The bedroom is much smaller than it appears online and the bathroom is awfully tiny. So 255 for one night plus 37 for parking is way too much for this hotel. Not fair at all! I wouldn't be there again.
Review 28:The location only.
Review 29:Firstly, the reception gave me a room that had not been cleaned yet. Then the housekeeping knocked the door at about 8 am while I was still sleeping. The parking was expensive, and lots of fees were charged which were not written on the website.
Review 30:Bed is comfortable
Review 31:The room was too small for three people and the bathroom was extremely small. The valet was always trying to rip us off due to the fact that parking was very expensive in the area. Do not rent a car if you are staying here!! Internet was too slow and wasn't free when in most hotels in the States WiFi is free!!
Review 32:The hotel is in a great location in Downtown Miami with great restaurants and places to see in the area.
Review 33:Needs a good makeover. Carpet in room was torn and threadbare, paintwork old n needs a spruce up. Shower needed a good scrub as tired n grubby looking
Review 34:Proximity to port and bayside good
Review 35:the rooms do not have space to hang clothing or drawers .... I had more space in my teeny solo cabin on my cruise and two closets and lots of storage space.
Review 36:I think the free cocktail every day ... and the people working at the bar were fun.
Review 37:Front desk provided wrong and lazy information about the hotel and the surroundings. We ended up solving things by ourselves, but the hotel was absolutely unhelpful.
Review 38:It's just disgusting, towels, rooms, there were even cockroaches there! And they even charge for a daily amenities fee that they don't give; no WiFi at the room, not everyday bottle water, They won't even replace the toilet paper! Please keep away from this place...
Review 39:Nothing.
Review 40:Beware of the "free" shuttle service to the cruise port. We were charged an unexpected $6.00 each for the 8 minute ride. All the passengers were surprised at the charge. Next time we'll take a taxi!
Review 41:Conveniently located near Miami cruise port for pre or post cruise stays.
Review 42:Housekeeping & cleanliness needs to be addressed; it is the only issue I had with this hotel!
Review 43:I loved the friendly & helpful attitude of the people at reception!!! I would like to name one specific individual, Cezar, who through no fault of his, helped resolve an issue that occurred on their premises. Thx Cezar!!! The location of the hotel is excellent!
Review 44:The lobby is the only disappointing part of the hotel i can think of. There were people (not guests i believe, maybe some were bellmen?) playing with their phones and sleeping in the chairs for long periods of time? It did not have that warm, welcoming feeling that some other hotel lobby's have.
Review 45:Our King Bayfront King room was huge. We liked the extra room as we stayed for a few days before a cruise. We always stayed at the Holiday Inn next door but their prices have shot way up for what they have to offer so we tried YVE this time. No regrets. Great view of the port and walking distance to everything we needed.
Review 46:Nothing we couldn't stay it was book for the wrong day and they wouldn't refund even though i called to called 1 hr later bad customers service. I live in seattle i wss not gonna be there on the date it was booked
Review 47:No parking. Public parking is wery expensive. Bath room is very smal. You haven't a place to arrange your personal things, like shaving knife, toothpaste & other. Hidden charges.
Review 48:Hotel staff attention was poor. I called for replacement towels 2 times and talked to the operator twice. No one came up the entire evening.
Review 49:Location of the hotel was great. Easily walkable to multiple interest destinations
Review 50:We were allocated to a room that was already taken... bit embarrassing when you walk in to somebody's room unexpectedly. Only 2 lifts for the whole building.. you spend half of your time there waiting for the lift. Breakfast is crazy expensive. Otherwise a very nice hotel in a super location.
Review 51:Great location, very nice room. Really cool view (we were 17th floor).
Review 52:Size of the bathroom, it is very tiny. You can wash your hands while still sitting on the toilet! Room looks bigger on the photos.
Review 53:Soft Bed, nice view, and good location, Nice bar downstairs. New and modern.
Review 54:Waking up to the ice vending machines at 5 AM.
Review 55:The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms spacious and comfy, and the place is in the middle of downtown Miami with easy access to everything, including the beach.
Review 56:"Way" overpriced, rooms are lackluster, bathroom and closet are ridiculously small and inconvenient. They removed the carpet of my hallway during the 1st night and had to walk on gluey floor for 2 days.
Review 57:The location is ok, but bare in mind that there is nothing to do in this area after 10PM. The staff were very friendly, the facilities are nice and modern.
Review 58:The hotel really has a problem with the elevators only 2 elevators for a 16 floor hotel. At check out time you can wait 30mins to get one. Air conditioner is too strong.
Review 59:Very good room and location.
Review 60:The fact that it didn't come with breakfast for that price. It took them 20 mins to get my car from valet n it was 30 dollars. No microwave or fridge in the room.
Review 61:I loved the location
Review 62:The window didn't open. I dont know whether it does not open on purpose or I could not open it. I had to switch off the AC because it was too loud for me but there was also mechanical ventilation so it was pleasant in the room. I had breakfast only once (it's extra paid) but scrambled eggs were made from powdered eggs :- (.
Review 63:I liked the very friendly and welcoming staff who made me feel special. I liked the spectacular views from my room on the 15th floor - the bay, the park, the boulevard, the palms, the rooftop swimming pools. I liked the white decor of my room. It was a pleasant place to be and relax after a hot day in Miami.
Review 64:They charge extra $12 in addition to room charge for amenities like wifi, water, free dimestic call, etc. You cannot turn down this service. In my opinion, they have to include this to hotel charge instead of hiding it until you check in.
Review 65:Nice modern hotel
Review 66:No bad comments. Room could have been a but bit get but would choose the amazing view we had over extra space.
Review 67:Friendly, helpful staff. Great cafe/bar downstairs. We were given a room with a better view than the one we'd booked at no extra cost. Free Internet and money off restaurant bills an added bonus.
Review 68:Value for money significantly impacted by outrageous valet parking charge. Valet parking is not always wanted by some customers eg rental companies ban any drivers other than those registered. Also 20 - 30 minutes delay to collect car. Hotel needs to recommend local alternative parking even if it impacts their profits significantly.
Review 69:Clean, modern hotel in a great location.
Review 70:Central location, great staff, super room on 17th floor with exc. view, good breakfast/diner with super menu and service, all most helpful! On all bus routes with a great Cuban restaurant round the corner and the Waterfront right in front!!
Review 71:My room was on level 4 and I could hear the music playing all night long at the Biscayne Tavern on the ground level. There are speakers on the exterior of the hotel. Was not able to sleep well due to the noise. The housekeeping staff frequently forgets to completely top up all supplies.
Review 72:Location was good. Hotel was clean. Comfortable bed.
Review 73:Staff at the reception stressed, seem to be short on it. Bathroom made a very strange sound every 4-5 minutes. After complaining nobody came on the first day but on second day. Did not fix it properly. Breakfast very poor.
Review 74:The location is very central and was closed to my conference building
Review 75:Location was perfect since we were going to the Port of Miami the next day. About a 20 minute walk to the ships. They offer a shuttle aswell for 6$ per person.
Review 76:The in-room breakfast I ordered was a complete waste of money. Continental: bread and pastries with jams...just a dry croissant and a few disgustingly sweet mini muffins. Healthy: instead of granola with yogurt and fresh berries...a dry granola bar dipped into a cheap, highly processed yogurt, and some pieces of melon in a plastic box. What were you thinking..??!!
Review 77:Location is awesome Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, including the valet guys (thanks Jesse!!)
Review 78:Room, too small, no place for the luggage. They bill $12 fee for water, daily drinks, in-room wifi, and don't supply the water daily, wifi signal in room is not full, daily drink is 1 per person in a small plastic cup watered down...
Review 79:Good location, clean.
Review 80:I was not very enthusiastic about the breakfast and thought it was expensive for what I got.
Review 81:The location was the most appealing. Two days Miami in YVE before my cruise was the perfect location for us.
Review 82:The check-in time is not acceptable : 4 PM is way too late especially knowing that you have to check out at 11 AM. I was supposed to have a king room with city view. I ended up with a room with 2 queen size beds (I was traveling alone) with a tiny window and the staff who did my check-in said he would fix the situation but never did. I booked this room six months in advance. No fridge in the room, in a city like Miami! Very noisy in the hallways. In the bathroom, no glass to put your toothbrush and toothpaste in it. The cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. No towels or hardly any in the gym!!
Review 83:Some staff members were helpful but one of them promised many things and then did not deliver at all.
Review 84:There were no dressers in our room, and only a few hangers in the closet. Could have used more towels, too. Also, as other reviewers have noted, there are only 2 elevators and we ended up having to wait quite a bit for the elevator at most hours.
Review 85:Good location, reasonable value.
Review 86:We really could have a small fridge in the rooms... unfortunatelly they haven't. The restaurant is TOO expensive, but there are excellent options just-around-the-corner. And the parking could be included...
Review 87:We always stay at YVE Hotel Miami because of its location - just perfect. As as old hotel all refurbished, has good bathrooms and excellent room area. Nice staff.
Review 88:The small size of the bathroom. However, it was very clean.
Review 89:The room was clean and staff was helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect for site seeing on foot or by cab/uber.
Review 90:A bit Noisy, Reception staff were not up to the standard as they had no knowlege even about the offers that the hotel is providing even after I showed them an Email received from YVE.
Review 91:Location, House Keeping
Review 92:Towels not changed. If removed, no new towels provided. Needed to request more than 3 times in 5 days. Parking in lot expensive around, however its in the whole region, not a hotel problem.
Review 93:Location, room is pefect, We took a great view from bay. Lot of facilities around and good restaurants.
Review 94:Room was small no mini fridge bathroom were so small I couldn't even fit my view was a wall
Review 95:I did like how close it was to AAA and restaurants shopping center
Review 96:My only concern was that the bathroom was to small you even can move and the door is to big and heavy and you can not keep it open, so you feel in the bathroom claustofobic.
Review 97:Location was great for getting to the Miami Cruise Ship Dock. Had a wonderful view out the window of the harbor area. Food choices were good at the on-site restaurant.
Review 98:the parking costs 30.00 a night to stay at this hotel which we found quite shocking!
Review 99:nice area with bayside right across the street so you could go over there and hang out and also have dinner.
Review 100:Bathroom too tiny. $12 "package" added to the price advertised: if it is an added package, it should be optional, not mandatorily included. Note: WiFi must be free (i.e., included in the advertised price) always anyway, it must be a sine-qua-non in any hotel (even in a lower standard one than YVE).
Review 101:Location, new and modern furniture and appliances, friendliness of staff, view of the bay
Review 102:I like the fact that the hotel is close to restaurants, bayside marketplace, and other shops. I think the staff members were very helpful from the restaurant, the man who gave you your daily drinks(tequila, etc. very nice), the front desk and the people who hold your luggage. My flight was in the night, so after I check out I left my luggage with the staff in the luggage room, and stroll downtown for a few hours, I was very thankful for that service. The room was kind of small but to me it was very nice, and the bed comfortable. The only downfall was my room was clean about once out of the four days and I receive two bottles of water once which should have been daily. The metromover is about 300metres or thereabouts up the street from the hotel which allows you to catch to the airport but you have to switch over to the metrorail which cost about $2.25. I would stay at this hotel again because I very much like. My price was very good, and I enjoyed my stay.
Review 103:The staff were unhelpful. We asked them how to get to the airport. We wanted to pick up a car. We had no bags to carry and told them we were in no rush. They told us the only option was a taxi$30. But we later discovered there was a metro 10 Mon away
Review 104:The hotel was clean in a good location. Comfortable beds ect
Review 105:Bathroom too small. Phone did not work. It was very difficult trying to open or close the curtains.
Review 106:Comfortable spacious beds. Nice room temperature. Excellent room service and food. Courteous staff.
Review 107:The small bathroom and the bathrooms needs touching up as far as shower curtains and things
Review 108:The view and it's in the middle of everything you need locally.
Review 109:No pool or much facilities like most hotels especially for price paid. Beware of parking trap if you are ti valet. They kill you with hidden fees/charges so much that it almost adds 20% to overall cost. The initial room cost does not remotely comes close to when you check out. A lot of hidden fees.
Review 110:The location next to Bayside mall. That was about it apart from the great deal we initially thought we had when we booked room to later get killed with all these hidden charges/fees/add-ons.
Review 111:Bathroom smelled from shower curtain and the water that never went down in the tub or sink more than 1" beneath the plug, just sat there. The hotel staff said that is the way it was in some rooms. The manager of the restaurant is not a friendly or helpful person. Waiters preferred chatting to each other than paying attention until it came time to pay the bill (and get a tip) so we missed out on more drinks and dessert. Great bar staff though and some of the waiters were really nice.
Review 112:Stanley in reception is amazing, greets you like a friend, chats, makes you feel that you are a wanted guest. Best receptionist of any hotel and that includes the 5* plus hotels I stay in on business. All the staff, bellhops, janitorial etc are really nice (except one guy who is surly and never does what he says he will but there's always an exception), The staff are one of the reasons I keep coming back and telling people about the place. The rooms are tiny but great views especially at night and comfortable with tubs and great wifi.
Review 113:Although we arrived early on our check in day we were shown to a room early because it was available. It was not what we had booked and when we pointed this out we were immediately transferred to the correct style of room. This was very much appreciated.
Review 114:Nice area of Miami, staff was very friendly. I was offered an upgrade atno cost and 20% off at the restaurant. For short notice booking I foundprice to be reasonable. Great experience!
Review 115:Bathroom was too small, however, it was clean.
Review 116:Great location !! Room was a bit small but comfortable. Cute decor. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Review 117:Rooms too small Was more a Brotelle than a hotel They didn't clean my room just change towels Left 3 towels for 4 persons staying in a room
Review 118:Nothing
Review 119:location was excellent. it was very clean and very efficient on needs. the room was up to date furniture. Love the view. overall we had no issues at all.
Review 120:Breakfast costs 18 dollars/ person, hotel lobby was always closed for furnishing, a long to wait for elevators, air conditioning system very noisy that we waked up at night when air conditioning starts, small windows,
Review 121:I liked the place of the Hotel, IT"S close to metrover and there is a lot of parking places around. Also a 25 hour shop near and many cafes
Review 122:The staff was nice and friendly. The location was everything. Beds were super soft. Everything was all white like i like. We took an Uber to the port for just $5
Review 123:Hidden fees Too much for parking being that I'm a guest at YOUR hotel and the room my in-laws had was very very small being that they paid the same price I did
Review 124:Was misinformed about parking and transportation to dock. First a person said $30 per night x 5 so I booked parking with another source, then we found out it was $10 a night. But no one told us about the transportation fee, it all turned out well in the end.
Review 125:Friendly staff, our room was always tidied up for us. Breakfast at the restaurant was nice. The location was amazing. It was close to everywhere. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 126:The room was smaller than what I thought it would be
Review 127:I loved the staff they were very helpful and friendly! The bed was very comfortable and perfect location
Review 128:everything,location was perfect~so close to everything. The bayside harbor market is just across the street .amazing view .15mns from the airport and south beach
Review 129:Only two elavators so in morning evening need to wait 5-10 minutes to get it. Twin rooms are noisy. Additional breakfast is expensive.
Review 130:Top location, design hotel, bathroom is huge
Review 131:Staff not too friendly except for one lady at the reception that was friendly and always smiling. Too bad I forgot her name. Rooms clean but very very small. The bathroom very small as well and only one person fits inside.
Review 132:I traveled with my cousin. No friends, no kids, no couple. So you need another description of travelers. Maybe just relatives with no kids. Every day looked like something was missing at our room. The first day we had everything: 3 towels, body lotion, bathroom mat, 2 bottles of water. Since the beginning not enough hangers. We asked for them at housekeeping, and they never arrived. The other days; a towel was missing; bottles of water missing; bathroom mat missing; never gave us more body lotion. So I think housekeeping is a problem. We rather called the front desk for bottles of water and they did send them.
Review 133:Vanessa the waitress at the Restaurant is the best employee. Yadira also at the front desk was very helpful. Others were only doing the less effort on their jobs. The location is very nice. Architecture and design nice; too minimalistic though. The price is good.
