Reviews for Motel 6 College Station - Bryan

Review 1:The rooms were very basic, with no extras such as blow dryer or shampoo. We did not even have hot water! The bedspread had cigarette burn holes, even though it was a non-smoking room. Because this was a football weekend, the rate we were charged was highway robbery. Even had to pay extra for wifi.

Review 2:The location of this older motel in relation to campus, businesses & restaurants was its only redeeming value.

Review 3:Room felt unclean. Bed was not comfortable, only 2 thin pillows on Queen bed. Shower was week. Advertises wifi on sign then charges you per day.

Review 4:Location and area is great.

Review 5:the Value for what I Got was Very Poor - No Complementary Wi-Fi or Breakfast But what was The Really, Really sad things about Rent this Motel Room was it had No of the Basic Commendations ever Room I've rent before this did-Like Refrigerator and Coffee Pot: But Really the Wi-Fi !!!

Review 6:cleanliness and front desk staff were excellent!!

Review 7:I didn't like the fact that I didn't have any wash cloths, the room didn't have a microwave, or a refrigerator. WiFi was not free.and you only have the choice of 10 channels on the cable tv. And I love tv.

Review 8:I loved the costumer service was awesome at the front desk. The room was very clean and neat. Great location.Very nice set up, cozy

Review 9:There was no free wifi..for such an amount I paid every night I would expect free wifi. That's a major negative for me.

Review 10:Room was clean and with good facilities overall.

Review 11:ac did'nt work, no one came to fix it, after reporting it. young man that was a clerk argued with me that i did not have a reservation, when i showed him my confirmation number, attitude. maybe it was just me. no clean towels, new sheet over old sheet, housekeeping showed up next day around 2:00 p. m .

Review 12:nice room, quiet

Review 13:Everything. Dirty. Puke on the wall. Yellow stained sheets. I'd rather spend the night in jail.

Review 14:Just horrible. The worst place ever! Hell on earth!

Review 15:Non smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke and the pillow reeked of it - had to put pillow in bathroom. Air conditioner did not work properly - no temperature gage - just total cold. It was the Texas games but there were kids running around the balconies of the second floor that were noisy until 11:30PM.

Review 16:No carpet on the floors and the floors were dirty. If you did not wear shoes you needed to wash your feet before going to bed. Grandaugters bed had little crystals of something in it. A bug crawled up the wall. There was no coffee in the room nor did I find any in the lobby. The mattress covers made a crackling noise when you laid down. AC was coming loose from the wall.

Review 17:Convenience to our event.

Review 18:The room was not as clean as I would have expected. The floors were dirty and uncarpeted. My granddaughters bed had some grainy sandy looking particles in it. A bug crawled up the wall and freaked her out! And there was no coffee!!

Review 19:The shower was good and the room was quiet.

Review 20:You have to pay for wifi. $2.99 - $4.99 a day.

Review 21:Fantastic staff, clean recently renovated room and quiet pool. Shops and restaurants nearby with easy access to main roads for more.

Review 22:No guest amenities, front desk lady was slow and didn't care to accommodate guests at all. Made one pot of coffee for entire hotel and when it was gone at 10:00 am that was it. Would not make anymore.very

Review 23:Location was good and price was fair.

Review 24:We had to switch rooms mid stay because the first room the bed was hard as a rock the second room they were so darn comfy because the floors are not carpeted they should have been swept and mopped properly I didn't feel they were there were hairs in the bathtub the rooms could have been dusted better

Review 25:Non-smoking room reeked of smoke. Asked to change rooms but courteous staff was reluctant to do so (under strict instructions from manager.) Sprayed the room to neutralize odor but this did not help.

Review 26:The do not have a system to confirm guests who have Booking.com bookingnumbers! Either their computers are not linked or something is seriouslywrong if you show up and they have to double charge you because theycannot find a Booking.com reservation with a confirmation code.Unacceptable, and risky to be stranded late at night!

Review 27:Linn front desk morning

Review 28:The usual amenities were absent. No hair dryer or shampoo and the internet charges were per day, per device. It cost me 16.00 for the two of us. The remote for the tv didn't work and our cards were deactivated on us after 12:00 on our 2nd day even though I pre-payed for 2 days. I had to go ask that they be re activated while my daughter stood outside the cold door of the room with our lunch. Our room was positioned in such a way that the water heater or pump woke us up in the morning. It was so loud and made noise for a long time. Overall it was okay for the price.

Review 29:The place was very clean and renovated. It was close to A&M which was great, as we were there for a dance audition. The beds were quite comfortable.

Review 30:Noisy especially in the morning. Had to complain one or two times. Some folks let their Trucks run for couple of hours in the morning, waking you up.

Review 31:Comfortable Bed Renovated Room Close to food & shopping

Review 32:Doors open directly into the parking lot (typical of this style motel) so traffic noise could be an issue. No coffee maker in the room, but there is a small fridge/microwave. Other than that I really have no complaints, especially for the price.

Review 33:Location is very near Texas A&M campus and pretty much centrally located to anything in College station. Staff was friendly, check in/out easy and the room was clean and appeared to be recently remodeled.

Review 34:Sheets can be described as 15 thread count, yes I said 15 thread count. The worst sheets I have ever slept on. Bad sign when they have plunger sitting next to the toilet!!! Tile floors were filthy. Overall room not worth the money. I will stay somewhere else on my next trip.

Review 35:Excellent front desk employees. Easy check in and out.

Review 36:It's a noisy place. All activity outside sounds like it's coming right in your window. Very small room with no place to put things in the bathroom.

Review 37:The location is great, for proximity to the school and central College Station. It was clean and everything worked. Overall a good experience, but we'll probably try to stay someplace else next time.

Review 38:The sun came right through the window ,the curtains wete put up very poorly didn't do its purpose, and the toilet handle was broke.

Review 39:The room was clean

Review 40:Everything! The size of the room, it smelled of smoke. The people hanging around the outside of the building made me nervous. Bugs in the room, the door wouldn't close all the way! Just horrible!

Review 41:Was able to get my back

Review 42:Was given a "smoking" room that reeked of cig. smoke. Requested to be changed and contacted regarding change. Was not contacted and they booked someone else to my room while I was still occupying it. I ended up staying in that room for the duration of my stay. The ad was a little misleading when booking the room. It listed a micro fridge/microwave as additional accommodations and there was none in the room.

Review 43:The location of the motel from my job. The room was comfortable.

Review 44:Some of the guests where entirely too loud in the parking lot, late at night.

Review 45:The location was perfect. The motel is centrally located in College Station. Plenty of restaurants, stores, and whatever else you might need are within walking distance.

Review 46:I would not stay there again, just because I did not feel completely safe with just my daughter and myself. We were awoken by loud noises and the police being called for a distubance during the night.

Review 47:The room was clean, it was just a stop over for my daughter and myself. The staff was friendly. Was not sure about some of the people loitering around the hotel.

Review 48:The room, although it said non smoking, smelled of cigarettes. There was a burned hole in bed spread. No carpeting was probably a good thing.

Review 49:The people at the front desk were helpful and courteous.

Review 50:Hotel has seen better days. Bed was comfortable and the room was adequate.

Review 51:Great location to Texas A&M for their activities.

Review 52:The bed was fairly hard.

Review 53:It was very clean and close to the University.

Review 54:The exhaust fan in bathroom sounded like a 747 taking off and the toilet ran.

Review 55:The staff were very friendly.

Review 56:none

Review 57:Good value for the price.

Review 58:Our room was already occupied! Mismanagement! Definitely unimpressed with this motel! Never again!

Review 59:Nothing

Review 60:Lights in bathroom went out and were not able to get back on until next morning around 10. Pool was closed

Review 61:convenient to Fire School (10 min)

Review 62:Registered for non-smoking room. Got a smoking room. Uncomfortable bed.

Review 63:Services

Review 64:Noisy, bed was uncomfortable

Review 65:Room was clean

Review 66:No breakfast.

Review 67:The location of the motel was very handy to our other interests.

Review 68:Had to pay for Wi-Fi

Review 69:It was quite.

Review 70:Cleaning staff yelling down. Corridors and cutting up. Very disturbing made stay a bad experience

Review 71:Check in staff was very friendly and courteous

Review 72:Cleanliness and bed was pretty comfortable.

Review 73:Bed no spring may have been broken. We booked three rooms and neither one of locks worked properly.

Review 74:Non smoking room had been smoked in

Review 75:No closet, no soap, small. Bed outdated. Noise from nearby business.

Review 76:It was 5 miles from my destination.

Review 77:WiFi di not work, however they did refund the money right away.

Review 78:Location and price.

Review 79:WiFi should be complimentery.

Review 80:Not very clean. Room shower and sink had not been cleaned from the previous visitor.

Review 81:good location to access the University.

Review 82:No light in restroom except for over bathtub. Room smaller then looked in picture but still was a great stay.

Review 83:The floors weren't carpet.

Review 84:no refrigerator and microwave

Review 85:restaurant and gas station surronding

Review 86:Wifi cost extra.

Review 87:Recently remodeled, clean; close to restaurants & shopping;

Review 88:The AC wasn't cold enough.

Review 89:Room had a weird smell and too tight. Used to staying in larger rooms where you can move around. Air condition was weak.

Review 90:Clean and staff was friendly

Review 91:Floor was dirty. Headboard broke. Room didn't look like the picture you could touch the other person sleeping in the bed next to you. In picture the beds were farther apart. Shower head broke off in friends room and hit her in the face. My sisters room had nats and roaches. Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 92:That it was close to my destination and the pool.

Review 93:The room smelt like a dirty gas station restroom, there were roaches in the bathroom, the remote for the TV didnt work, the air conditioning couldnt keep the room cool, the beds were uncomfortable and the"non smoking" room had an ash tray and burn holes in the bed cover. That along with the dog barking outside the door made it a very bad experience. Won't be staying at a Motel 6 anymore.

Review 94:The bed was uncomfortable as well as the pillows. The toilet did not work without putting water in it. The light in the bathroom went out. I felt unsafe in the room. The room is very small and not real clean. It was very noisy in the parking lot all night. It was a very bad experience.

Review 95:The location was close to everything, restaurants, stores, etc. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We had a room that opened right up to the pool area and the kids swam and had a wonderful time. It was also a pet friendly hotel, next time we are bringing our dog.

Review 96:The side of the room for the money we paid for was very tiny. The toilet ran water all the time. We did not have a closed to store our clothes and other items that we brought for our parent weekend.

Review 97:I the beds and pillows, they comfortable enough to rest. The distance from our point of destination was short and convenience.

Review 98:This is a cheap hotel, so the furnishings were very sparse. Thin towels, dingy sheets, a shower with no tub or soap dish and only a curtain dividing it from the rest of the bathroom. Also, no breakfast. So, you decide if it's a good value: for $50 a night, you get a clean, safe place to sleep and store your stuff, but not much else.

Review 99:I liked that it was right next to Texas A&M since I was there to interview for a job at the university. Also, the staff were helpful and friendly, the floors were laminate so they were quite clean, and there were a bunch of locks on the door, so even though I am a woman traveling by myself, I felt very safe.

Review 100:The room was very sterule, not overly comfortable nor inviting. Very generic feel to the room.

Review 101:Location was good. It's on a main area clise to restaurants and shops.

Review 102:We felt like to price for the room was a good deal but the beds were so uncomfortable that we didn't sleep well. There were also other guests, who did not look like the college crowd, that gave us concern about the safety in the parking lot. They had their doors and windows open (it was about 40 degrees outside) and they were watching all the activities in the parking lot. It was just creepy. The bargain room was NO bargain.

Review 103:The location near Texas A and M campus was great. We choose this motel because there was a big event at TAMU and all the hotel prices were quite high for the weekend.

Review 104:Not enough channels on the TV

Review 105:The location Walgreens and Target close to the motel and there is restraunt close by called Kettle has excellent breakfast and lunch and a Dairy Queen right across street

Review 106:The bathroom door couldn't close, which might have been awkward under different circumstances, and there was a cigarette burn in the blanket.

Review 107:Very clean, comfortable, and convenient with a friendly front desk. Nice tv and heating/cooling unit.

Review 108:A little too much industrial cleaner used to clean the room. Smelled a little strong all night. At least it was clean.

Review 109:Clean and adequate for a game day stay.

Review 110:The bed, although clean with great pillows, was very "cheap".When I laid down I could almost immediately feel the springs digginginto my back. Not great for a pregnant woman.

Review 111:I really liked how clean the room was. I had no reservations aboutletting my toddler walk around. Water pressure and temperature in theshower was great. My husband loved the 4 different espn channels.

Review 112:Was supposed to get non smoking room bud burns on sink, bed very un-comfortable could not sleep good got up sore on shoulders I sleep on myside smelled like a motel, charges for wi-fi

Review 113:On a busy street clean on the outside

Review 114:The cost is ridiculous considering there is no breakfast, no hair dryersand no shampoo etc. I know it is almost impossible to get a hotel in thearea on a football weekend but price-gouging people because of thatsucks! Other hotels in the area are also expensive on game weekends, butoffer more amenities for the cost.

Review 115:The manager on duty was very nice and helpful and helped me get into aroom with 2 beds since it was me and my teenage son staying. When Ioriginally booked, one bed was all that was available.

Review 116:It was actually pretty scary. Years of gum embedded in the concrete walks and steps. Migrant construction workers hanging out just about everywhere. I half expected to find my vehicle broken into the morning I departed.

Review 117:It was cheap.

Review 118:The location. Seemed like everytime we stpped out and came backthere were police taking care of a situation. Think a betterlocation will fix that.

Review 119:The room was quiet and very comfortable to sleep in.

Review 120:&Quot;Non smoking" room smelled of cigarettes. Rooms were verysmall. Bunch of "Thugs" took over parking lot on Friday night.Softball team families did not feel safe. We all checked out early andlost 1 night we paid for.

Review 121:Cheap. Room was clean.

Review 122:Just a little on the high side for being a motel 6.

Review 123:Very clean and the staff was amazing.

Review 124:Had to take a smoking room. Smell was almost unbearable.

Review 125:It was dirty and smelled terrible

Review 126:One night stopover to visit someone. It was perfect for me. Room was for one occupant. I did not spend a lot of time there.

Review 127:The mattress was very worn. No fridge/microwave. Otherwise it was appropriate

Review 128:I like the upgrades. Water pressure no critters.

Review 129:No mini fridge or microwave

Review 130:Location

Review 131:Across from Texas A&M. College students were using the hotel as a party spot.

Review 132:Staff was very pleasant and rooms were clean.

Review 133:No fridge or microwave.

Review 134:The room was ok.

Review 135:Way too much money for a one night stay in this motel
