Reviews for V Hotel & Suites

Review 1:The door didn't latch when closed. There was a dirty towel on the back of the bathroom door and the light switch when entering the room did not turn on a light.

Review 2:The bed was very comfortable. The room was a very good size.

Review 3:We had some very rowdy neighbors who partied way past midnight and made it very difficult to sleep. Also the room was very hot and even with the air conditioner on it didn't cool it down.

Review 4:We stay at the V 90% of the time we go to Moncton and normally we enjoy our stay. This trip not so much.

Review 5:Didn't like that the only pictures on the website were the updated rooms ... The bathroom which was not shown is old and outdated ! Very disappointing ! And the complimentary breakfast was disappointing for a hot breakfast !

Review 6:The first night I was bitten in bed by something... not bedbugs, I think fleas. The front desk told us there were no other rooms to switch to and the housekeeping staff was argumentative when we requested all new bedding. Also saw the cook licking his fingers while plating food in the restaurant that is attached to the hotel... we only ate there once (before we saw that) and never went back...even for the free breakfast. The breakfast wasn't very good either.

Review 7:Once we spoke to the manager he had magically found another room for us for the next 2 nights and comped one night. The first room was a great size for the 4 of us.. nice and big. The second room was much smaller.

Review 8:The staff is unwelcoming. Although the rooms have been somewhat updated, the bathrooms are not at all. Staff was extremely rude and the location is left to be desired. Lastly, there is a small 32" entrance door which does not have an automatic option, therefore it's a struggle to enter with luggage in hand. We were a trio of mature women looking for a place to relax for the night, and turns out this is more of a "party" hotel.

Review 9:The foyer is beautiful.

Review 10:Not modern, Not really walking distance to down town business core. , Maybe in perfect weather during the day. But it is a long walk. Loud music coming from laundry room from 7am until check out. Not possible to sleep in.

Review 11:Clean Friendly staff

Review 12:Room way too hot and the breaker for A/C was turned off. Window opened but didn't have a screen and was on main floor. Didn't feel safe to leave window open overnight.

Review 13:Bathroom in the room use some upgrades.

Review 14:Location was perfect, tucked away from dt a bit where most hotels were right on the Main Street. Breakfast was great!!

Review 15:We were put at the far end of the hotel on the other side of the housekeeping room, so at 7am there was a tremendous amount of noise in the hallway from the hotel staff that woke us up.

Review 16:Rooms were beautiful, exactly as pictured, spacious and very clean.

Review 17:Our first room on the second floor was so hot we couldn't stay in there. The bathroom was also in terrible shape very old. We were then moved to the first floor by the pool entrance. The room was better but still the bathroom was old and the shower rod was rusted and falling apart. The beds were dirty there was hair and dirt all over the bed. We also found that it was not properly swept and also found a used condom wrapper just behind the bed side table along with large dust bunnies. The breakfast is not actually a "free" breakfast. You get a $5 coupon per person per night which will give you 1 Egg, 1 strip of Bacon or 1 sausage and some toast and potatoe. One small drink. If you want more bacon or sausage or egg you're gonna just have to put your coupon towards something else and pay the difference. From where we were seated we could see the kitchen and I watched the cook constantly stuffing bacon in his mouth. If they are trying to save money by only serving one strip of bacon to its customers maybe they need to ask the cook to stop eating the bulk of the bacon or at least give that potential bacon to the customer. Don't be fooled from the facade of the pictures online or as you walk in. It is not a modern place and they really need to update all the bathrooms as well as train the cleaning staff to do a proper job cleaning! I do not recommend this place.

Review 18:We did like the pool. It was a saltwater indoor/outdoor pool with attached hot tub. The lobby looked nice. It was within walking distance to some shops.

Review 19:The bathroom decor was very outdated. Although breakfast is included with the cost of the room, the selection is very poor.

Review 20:The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful.

Review 21:The bathroom was small and the shower faucet was leaky. The shower could have been cleaner too.

Review 22:Room was comfortable with modern updates. Location was fairly close to downtown as well. Easy hotel to get in and out of. Breakfast is included as well but I didn't have time to try it so can't comment on the quality.

Review 23:I did not like being located by the pool room and the cleaning/laundry room for staff. The back door was always being slammed. This room really shouldnt be rented as a guest room. Doors left open to rooms with shelves of chemincals. Very dangerous. Terrible stay, no sleep.

Review 24:The front desk staff was nice and the restaurant breakfast deal was really good.

Review 25:Bathrooms a little small and air conditionner was noisy. Renovations had not been completed in our room.

Review 26:I liked the convenience of the location. One of the housekeeping staff was extremely pleasant and accomodating

Review 27:The room looked nothing like the pictures online. We thought we were getting a queen delux room. But I think we got some basic room. It was our anniversary, and I didn't complain because confrontation makes me very anxious.

Review 28:Very small bathroom ...No counter space.. lacking updates... screen door for outback a little ruged looking ...

Review 29:Lots of hot water...location and free parking were nice... A bit off the main street...

Review 30:The bathroom could be a little bit more clean near the corner.

Review 31:I like that the employer are verry freindly. Good staff and food verry good. Beds are comfy

Review 32:The bathroom is out- dated. It was misleading showing only the picture of the renovated rooms on the website. The hot tub was not clean. So we decided not to use it.

Review 33:The room has been renovated and nice.

Review 34:A piece of the ceiling fell into our bathtub because of a leak, therefore we were unable to shower.

Review 35:Very modern room, friendly staff, breakfast was small but filling. Discount given when room unsatisfactory.

Review 36:Room was very clean, comfortable and deal clerk exceptionally friendly. He recommended the in-house restaurant. A fantastic hidden gem. We had an absolutely lively stay.

Review 37:loved this place would go back again the pizza from the restaurant was not great wouldn't order again and the hot breakfast was only a coupon for 5 dollars but over all the rooms and location was great and so was the staff

Review 38:You walk from your very nice modern room into a 1970's bathroom. The bathrooms were extremely dated and had mild around the tub.

Review 39:Room was very nice and updated. They have a modern feel.

Review 40:Stayed twice first time was much better, second time was in a room that the bathroom in bad need of a renovation. Could barely get wifi in the second room.

Review 41:The pool was nice and the staff was great

Review 42:Noisy air conditioner.. Breakfast service staff appeared dis organised n flustered by number of patrons Cook could be heard abusing waiters. Worst service in all Canada

Review 43:Friendly helpful reception staff - greeted every time we entered. Very clean n inviting surrounds.

Review 44:The cleanliness of the bathroom. The hotel appeared to me a motel that was recently renovated. The room had a facelift. The bathroom did not. The toilet seat was peeling and cracked. The 1970's tile had mold and dirt in the corners as did the tub. For that reason, I didn't feel comfortable showering. There was also water stIns in the drop ceiling and the bathroom light fixtures were rusted. I was also quoted $99 and it was $130 plus tax.

Review 45:Bedroom was clean. Pool area was nice. Staff was friendly.

Review 46:When I taked my shower the water is hot and goes fast to cold water it's realy werdz I told the staff and they didn't do anything about that

Review 47:i like the pool when it's a rainy day the roof coverup the pool and when it's sunny they open the roof and the food is just perfect! Realy nice people at V hotel & suites

Review 48:The desk clerk was sitting out back where she didn't see or hear us enter for check in and she wasn't apologetic or pleasant either. The pool is odd shaped making it small and one large family overtook it being very loud and splashing so nobody else could really enjoy any area of the facilities.

Review 49:The uniqueness of this place.

Review 50:Rooms, especially bathroom out dated and dirty looking. Hallways a bit dark and dirty lookung.we had view of pool however window was completely fogged up and or dirty.

Review 51:Location great, nice restaurant, staff friendly

Review 52:The bathroom however was the same as it was twenty years ago. Not upgraded what so ever and didn't do anything to add to the room. Dreadful really. Same with the pool. Really needs work and cleaning.

Review 53:This used to be the Colonial years ago and the rooms and lobby have been upgraded nicely.

Review 54:The Hotel is easy to find. If you drive on Mountain Road 6 mins you can find Different Food Locations and Shopping is near also. Close to Casino for all you Casino Lovers about 8 Minute drive from the Hotel. Beds Comfortable. Restaurant on site. Play area for Children . Pool and Hot tub really good. Had an enjoyable Stay . Close to all amusements, good for family.

Review 55:The bathroom had a yellow sink in it and the towels were pretty small

Review 56:The pool was sick, the rooms were pretty decent, staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was pretty decent!! Very clean

Review 57:Kind of ambarress, but the continues love making next door with the constant noise from the bed, kept me awake for almost 2 hrs. And late comers, youths in the hallway....very loud. My suggestion is fix that bed....otherwise we were pleased. We had a flight out of Moncton at 5:40am to Calgary, a very very long day....with little sleep

Review 58:The location and cleanliness.

Review 59:Our room was close to the hotel reception area so it was noisy in the morning (8am onwards).

Review 60:Bed and linen were comfy, room was clean, hotel has a saltwater pool and hot tub.

Review 61:Air conditioner over rear door in room very noisy. Variety with quieter fan would be a major advantage. Also, shout have floor mat inside of rear door to keep debris from being tracked in from the parking lot.

Review 62:Restaurant, cleanliness, friendliness of staff, stiff mattress, proximity of parking.

Review 63:I have stayed at V Hotel several times but for the first time during my last visit, I could hear the next door tenants speak and even though their music was probably not loud, I could hear it ver well. Would not have minded but it was 1:30 am and I needed to sleep.

Review 64:Liked the staff, the restaurant, the downtown within walking distance, parking and comfort.

Review 65:The room was nothing like the picture!! They don't show the bathroom for a reason old yellow tile walls, old vanity and old crank window. Reminded me of the 70's.

Review 66:The staff was very friendly and understanding.

Review 67:I don't care much going to the restaurant with a coupon for breakfast. It's a bit slow...

Review 68:I love the location, it's close to downtown facilities. I love the pool and the seating area outside!

Review 69:While the bed area was beautiful the bathroom was extremely out dated. I had an adjoining room, I could hear everything going on in the attached room. No elevator, front desk should help carry bags upstairs. Hallway is very dark.

Review 70:The main space of the room was beautifully redone. Size of TV was good. I liked that breakfast was included. Like that is a rewards card.

Review 71:Breakfast choices very limited. Egg was mostly uncooked. One slice of bacon really?!! Not great choices for kids. Should have pancakes at least.

Review 72:Staff were very courteous and friendly.

Review 73:small breakfast (one egg, one sausage and one piecenof bread) but you get a discount if you buy from the breakfast menu

Review 74:Nice and quiet location, pool and spa, clean room, bed comfortable

Review 75:The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious. We were playing bridge at the Crown Plaza and were allowed to leave our car in your parking lot Sunday which was very much appreciated. We will certainly return and recommend to our friends.

Review 76:I found the room very warm even with the heat off. With the window open there was a cold wind. I couldn't manage to regulate it so I didn't sleep all that well.

Review 77:The room has been renovated with a relaxing palette. There is also plenty of natural light. The location was a reasonable drive to the evening concern. The restaurant in the hotel is separately owned but very nice, bilingual server.

Review 78:They offer early check in, but don't honor it! Also beware of booking under a group, they don't tell you at the time of book that you have to pay a security deposit when checking in.

Review 79:Older hotel/motel that has been renovated nicely. Staff was great, resturant was good. Comfortable room, liked the laminated floors instead of carpet. Will stay here again when back.

Review 80:When I walked in to the bedroom, the heat was off but it felt like a sauna in there it was so hot. I had to run the air conditioning all night (in April) just to get the room to a bearable temperature. The bathroom was extremely unappealing with its water stained tile, vomit coloured tub/toilet and very narrow bathtub.

Review 81:The room was spacious and modernized and looked like it had been updated in the last couple years (minus the baseboard heaters). Breakfast was conveniently located in the restaurant downstairs.

Review 82:odd smells: chlorine, cig smoke; mold around bathroom window; tub wasn't inviting to take a bath in - seems everything but bathrooms was renovated; heater stopped working but staff did bring us a plug in unit; no real breakfast options for vegans.

Review 83:staff was very helpful and accommodating; breakfast vouchers were a nice touch but only get you a small breakfast at resto next door (you'll wind up spending more than allowance); plenty of parking; easy walking distance to downtown

Review 84:The "free" breakfast was only offered for one of pur two nights, very small portions. Our air conditioner had broken and the front desk staff said there was nothing they could do and we couldn't even open our windows because the snow was built up over it.

Review 85:The kids really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub was nice. Very modern.

Review 86:Bad isolation , could hear people walk up the stairs, talk, close doors and take showers. Very aggravating when you just want to sleep in, not to mention I had the fan on

Review 87:Nice rooms

Review 88:The lady at the front desk was very rude, the rooms were not very clean, the complementary breakfast was just toast, they need to fix everything in the rooms, our a/c was broke and we couldn't turn down the heat.the minute you walk in all you smell is the pool. This place is not some where I recommend for anyone.

Review 89:I could hear everything even my neighbor's conversation...literally Didn't sleep at all :(

Review 90:The size and the fact that it was clean and comfortable

Review 91:It has in the past catered to the hockey teams and they are trying to change the image but it was very rowdy on the weekend.

Review 92:They have remodeled this old hotel and it looks good. convenient to downtown. Pool was great. Security staff are excellent.

Review 93:The shower walls had mold on them and the shower head was not secure to the wall. I could also hear people in the room above me.

Review 94:The room and bed were clean and comfortable.

Review 95:Restaurant service and food were not very good Hot tub was on the cool side and pool and hot tub were not open until 8:30 which is late

Review 96:rooms were modern and clean very comfortable beds, enjoyed the pool and hot tub , nice lobby

Review 97:Not very sound proof,NOISY angry room across hall 'til wee hours of a.m.Hallway full of displaced furniture due to renos.

Review 98:Can Walk Main Street Moncton, rooms older but clean.Bed comfortable.Small but good breakfast included.

Review 99:Walls are paper thin. We could hear people above us and next door quite clearly. Little more should have been spent on this aspect and u would have given an excellent overall rating!

Review 100:Location is very central and staff are excellent

Review 101:Sound travels through the walls quite easily. Could hear people talking as they walked down the entire hallway- they weren't talking loudly at all.

Review 102:For the online price it was very good. It has a very modern feel to it and is clean and inviting.

Review 103:Everything was great except our room was on top of boiler room and we had been told it would be warm so we might need the a/c on in winter....in the middle of the night, it was so hot! And A/C is hung almost at ceiling.... couldn't see how to turn it on so ended up opening the window. Even the floor was almost too hot to walk on. Bed was great, nice room, free parking and breakfast. Would recommend this hotel, just not room 111

Review 104:Room was very small - we could barely move in the bathroom!

Review 105:Welcoming staff and 24 hour check was fantastic. The cafe made items not on the menu as my fiancé and I are picky eaters. It was wonderful to be catered for.

Review 106:Although an older hotel, it was extremely clean, the staff was excellent and helpful. The restaurant where we had breakfast was outstanding. Would stay there again and am planning a return in the summer

Review 107:Room was too warm to sleep comfortably. Air-conditioner loud and not effective. Suspect in-floor heating was the cause. However, in their favour, weather was unusually warm outside. Restaurant expensive.

Review 108:Nice lobby. Staff very helpful with our questions re going to other sites, buses, etc.

Review 109:Very Smokey hallways, pool was filthy, guests were drunk and up partying all night, couples Fighting in the hall and slamming door. Security was called to deal with the noise. Did not get much sleep. Small yappy dog kept barking.

Review 110:Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was good. Location was excellent!

Review 111:I did not like the fact my room was previously smoked in even though I had booked a non-smoking room. The shower head was also broken at the time of check-in.

Review 112:I liked that the hotel was recently renovated to be more modern in style.

Review 113:Walls a little thin. Neighbours Could be heard. But for the money a good deal.

Review 114:It is not the Ritz but good value for the money, clean, comfortable, everything a road salesman needs

Review 115:The beds were uncomfortable. The hallway was loud during the night with people laughing talking knocking on doors. I wasn't pleased. Went away to get a nice rest and got home more tired then when I left

Review 116:The flooring in the room

Review 117:hot tub / pool really gross, hallways smell like cigarette smoke due to old carpets? Rooms have been made over but not the bathrooms? No fan in he bathroom so always sweaty. Just gross all around.

Review 118:Poorly soundproofed rooms makes it easy for you to hear EVERYTHING going on in the hallway. Often kept the TV on to feel privacy.

Review 119:Clean and unique rooms with nice large bathrooms. The lobby is very sophisticated and the entire hotel certainly captivates with its unique decor and interior.

Review 120:We liked everything but this is an old hotel that is in the process of renovation so make sure you get an already renovated room.

Review 121:The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. He changed our assigned room on the second floor to a nicer one on the first floor as my husband couldn't climb all the stairs. Breakfast was included, egg and sausage and toast, and it was in the attached restaurant, not a buffet in a room as you usually get in most cheaper priced hotels. Room was modern, very clean, (they have yet to remodel the second floor so ask for a first floor room) and bed was comfortable.Pool, in an attractive glassed in addition, and the attached hot tub were well kept and enjoyable

Review 122:Hotel has central heating and you can't control the temp in the room. So it was either too HOT or too cold (due to running the very noisy A/C to cool down from overheating caused by central furnace).

Review 123:Good location to shopping and restaurants. Helpful staff. A real cooked "complimentary" breakfast in the attached restaurant.

Review 124:No soundproofing - could hear everything going on in the halls - super loud even if it was not even near our room - seem to echo. Not much selection for breakfast.

Review 125:the room we had 209 was alittle sad looking and in big need of redecorating the bathroom was one of the worse I have seen in along time Clean but very dated

Review 126:the bed was very comfortable and the staff were excellent, the breakfast was nice and the waitress was very friendly

Review 127:The only thing that was a slight negative was no vanity space in the bathroom, but the pluses were so wonderful it was easy to work around that.

Review 128:This was a favorite place. Our room was beautiful and bed very comfy. Loved the attached restaurant. Food and servers were excellent. The best fig bars at the hotel counter for sale.

Review 129:As usual, I liked the friendly staff, the clean and chic atmosphere, I like my ground level room where I could exit to the parking lot with ease......The pool and hot tub were great, I like the blue pool lights at night. The remote A/C is a bonus, especially in the summer months. Breakfast is good value and a nice bonus touch. I'll be returning soon. Thanks!

Review 130:stuffy air in hallway; smokey smell lumpy pillows

Review 131:the dining area with free breakfast welcoming entrance friendly male "Newfie' at the front desk (forgot his name) near Main Street

Review 132:The bathroom was extremely small. The pool was cold and hot tub was not hot. Was disappointed overall in my stay.

Review 133:The facility is located in a great part of town and the newly renovations look beautifu . The rooms were a good size. Housekeeping was good and staff friendly.

Review 134:When I arrived I had expected to be put in a room that looked very modern and fancy, I was given a room that was very "old school". Personally I went to have a classy room but good price when really I couldve went to a cheap motel and had a room identical to that.

Review 135:The Wifi was excellent, quite rooms, very comfy bed.
