Reviews for White Rose Inns

Review 1:In the photos the place appears to be right on a lake which was something that sparked my interests. Turns out it across the street from a lake front with tree coverage the blocks any possible view of the lake. I reserved a room with a Jacuzzi tub for my girlfriend and I to "relax" in but just our luck we ran out of hot water about 1/3 of the way into filling it up. I called the office to explain the issue So they sent a maintenance guy up to take check to see why their was not enough HOT water. He said he check the hot water heater and informed us that we should have hot water again in 10-15 minutes which indeed their was. The view out the 2 window of our room was roof tops and some tree tops.

Review 2:Because of a couple issues the management did treat us fairly by giving us a room rate adjustment.

Review 3:The room was humid when we arrived. They then gave us a fan that was pretty much falling apart and we had a dirty towel that had mascara on it. We brought it to their attention, but then completely ignored that we had a used dirty towel.

Review 4:The location was great!

Review 5:Facility needs updating. No children in rooms in big house as can hear everything through the walls and floors Breakfast not fresh, frozen foods.

Review 6:Location

Review 7:The double spa needs some plumbing work done. Something is wrong with the cold side of the mixing valve and takes 10+ mins to get to a comfortable temp that won't burn your skin

Review 8:The lily room was really nice. Had a double shower spa and a whirlpool.

Review 9:The one and only thing is the shower only had 2mins of hot water.

Review 10:Everything!!!! We will definitely be going back many times. The view from the house is breathtaking the breakfast is to die for and the staff is so welcoming.

Review 11:The mattress was hard as a rock. Probably the hardest mattress I have ever slept upon. "Shower" was the bathtub right in the sleeping area itself and was a "quaint" 4-foot clawfoot tub with a shower wand. Difficult to shower without spraying water out. Tried to shower late in the evening and there was no hot water. I guess I'm bed & breakfast naive. We won't be staying there again.

Review 12:Well, the room was clean and quaint.

Review 13:The room was quiet and secluded. The room was very nice. Staff was helpful and pleasant. The young lady who served us breakfast was charming. The breakfast was nice.

Review 14:We stayed in the White Rose Inn for one night. I was very excited about staying here as I thought my room would be very cute. But it was quite run down (cushions on chairs falling apart, the electrical socket in bathroom was located halfway behind the mirror, so it was not usable, and the bed wasn't very comfortable.) However, aside from the dust on all the picture frames and knick knacks in the room, the room was quite clean and to me that is all that really matters.

Review 15:Our one night stay included breakfast which was very nice. I did love the "homey" touches around property, like the wrap around decks, and the tree swing.

Review 16:Only one block from all the action on the Strip. Great pub and restaurant right across the street. Great river view. Walking distance to boat tours, mini golf, bars and more. Would definitely stay here again

Review 17:Outside of bed and breakfast was run down and in desperate need of some TLC. Room was tiny and outdated as far as TV, air conditioner. There wasn't any salts or bath soap for the whirlpool. Steps to second floor were extremely slippery, had to hang onto railing with both hands. No coffee maker in room.

Review 18:Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good. Was a couple blocks off main drag and close to riverwalk.

Review 19:It was the sweetest and most perfect place. We already agreed to come back the White Rose next year. Our room was called "French Country" and it was in the "Terrace Hill" house. The room was great. Very classic. And the corner tub with jets was big enough for the 2 of us to fit comfortably. There was also a full kitchen for you to use and a living room downstairs. It's a 5 minute walk from the downtown area. We left the car back at the house most of the day. Barely a 10minute drive to all the water parks.

Review 20:You can't tell from the pictures, but the main house is on a main road. It looks rural from the pictures, but you're in the middle of it all. Both nights we stayed (Sat & Sun) there were drunken parties outside our window of the main house from people that sit out front on the chairs and tables in the courtyard. We used ear plugs both nights because of the shouting outside our window. The coffee and the bed need some improvement too. In Wisconsin it would have been nice to have real milk or cream, not plastic creamers. The bed in the Blue Room definitely needs a new mattress.

Review 21:We liked the location's close proximity to everything. The Blue Room was really quaint, and the jacuzzi tub was fun to use. Wifi was strong. Parking felt safe. Breakfast was decent.

Review 22:My wife has trouble with stairs and low toilets both of which made our stay a little difficult.

Review 23:The young people who waited on us for breakfast and cleaned our room were so friendly and hard working. Plenty of towels in the bathroom with both a tub and a shower. The place had a calm quiet atmosphere which was so needed after the bustle of the Dells.

Review 24:The only thing is that there was no pop machine by the office. The closest place was a gas station 3 blocks away. It was a minor inconvenience

Review 25:The nicely decorated Victorian B&B with its lovely rooms with private bath and jacuzzi tub made me want to skip the sites and stay in for the night. The free breakfast was excellent and I loved the breakfast area. It reminded me of Rome a little.

Review 26:We were only sorry that we could not stay longer.

Review 27:I loved the spacious room; the tasteful decor; the relaxing (very clean) spa tub and walk-in shower (roomy enough for two). There was a nice choice of entrees for breakfast and portion size was just the right amount. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Loved that the River Walk was just across the street. And, though only a block off the strip, it was quiet and relaxing at the Inn. Lovely, large outdoor pool. Note: This is probably more adult-oriented - no water park slides... (something that we particularly enjoyed as we were there without our kids).

Review 28:Room was a little hot, common kitchen was really gross-but we didn't need it anyway.

Review 29:House was beautiful, beautiful view. Very private, very close to down town, but still off the beaten path.

Review 30:Room security. They used regular house keys for their door locks, how many of those keys are floating around??

Review 31:White Rose Inns has a beautiful location overlooking the River for most of the rooms. It is within walking distance for a lot of main attractions. Very friendly staff, they were very helpful and welcoming! Breakfast was good, simple, but good. It was secluded and quiet. Well kept, but I love the older Victorian style homes and their "stories." I would definitely stay again!

Review 32:None of the windows opened. Most were taped shut or just didn't open. No ceiling fan or standing fan so no air circulation. heater came on and room was so warm it fogged up my glasses. Road very noisy even with windows shut. no cream for coffee that was supposed to be available in the morning. It wasn't- my husband had to make it. No staff around at all.

Review 33:Room was very quaint, just like what you would expect a b and b room to look like.

Review 34:Our room had no hot water which we where advise was because of a pipe problem. They were very kind to adjust our bill accordingly.

Review 35:Location was wonderful so close to many restaurants and local sites. The place is very comfortable and the breakfast was great.

Review 36:given wrong keys. walk in on other people trying to sleep. Had to go to front desk for amenities that were suposed to be in room. Over all for price wasn't what I would expect

Review 37:the place was nice. had an old time charm

Review 38:Staff had failed to observe that our booking included two rooms and was unprepared at check-in to provide both. Scrambled to come up with a second room that did not meet expectations and had zero hot water. Claimed it was a better room with higher rate and only offered a $100 discount.

Review 39:Location was nice.

Review 40:Amusement parks at Wisconsin Dells are not really our thing, but this is an excellent place to stay for the beautiful boat tour.

Review 41:Comfortable rooms with character. We stayed in Stable and Loft, two well-equipped rooms with river view which make up the Carriage House. We were also able to relax in a nearby living room with panoramic view of river and further coffee-making supplies. Short walk to the departure point for the scenic Upper Dells Boat Tour. Good breakfast on the deck.

Review 42:Unable to darken room from exterior light and no ventilation in bathroom resulting in the interior of bathroom window to show beginnings of mold and dry rot.

Review 43:Location, staff and breakfast were all great!

Review 44:Only down side was the shower was quite small to fit in the old bathroom.

Review 45:Clean, quaint room that was just off the tourist path so very quiet and peaceful. The owners were very accommodating and the staff was very friendly. The history of the homes is very interesting. The breakfasts are home cooked and very generous servings! We will stay here again on our next trip to the Dells.

Review 46:No outlet in the bathroom and no front door knob. Did not like that just anyone could walk in.

Review 47:The breakfast was very good. The young staff were great.

Review 48:Mattress on bed well worn and uncomfortable, even with topper on it. Cell phone signal strength very poor.

Review 49:Location great. Nice view and within walking distance of restaurants and attractions. Room decor nice. Loved the spa tub. Great breakfast. Staff great.
