Review 1：The condition of the facilities were poor. It needs an over haul to bring it to date. For example, the tub looked dirtier than it was because it was faded, worn cast iron. Time to invest some money!

Review 2：The location and staff were fantastic.

Review 3：Out of the 3 day stay only got room cleaned once because it still hadn't been cleaned by 4:00 p.m. after we had been out all day. Insufficient towels; had to keep requesting them. Towels were in bad shape (discolored and very worn out). The worst was the restaurant, waited and hour and a half for breakfast. Missed our trolley pick up. Terrible service, only 1 person for entire restaurant, poor guy. Then waited another 20 minutes to get the bill. On New Years Eve asked for a Gin & Tonic at the bar...no tonic. What? That is a staple of any bar. Poor beach access, especially for those with limited mobility. Should have ramp going to beach instead of all those stairs. I questioned about handicap facilities when making reservation was told that it was handicap accessible.

Review 6：Good location in the middle of St. Augustine Beach. Restaurants and nightlife within walking distance. On the oceanfront and nice pool. Great value for the room/location. Bar and restaurant on site but did not use so no opinion.

Review 7：The location was great! Right on the beach. I read the reviews and was a little skeptical, but we had a good experience. Everything was clean and comfortable. The hotel is older but it had been updated some! For the price we paid right on the beach, I have no complaints. I certainly would book again. Loved the Tiki bar and the pool!

Review 8：The room wasn't clean. There was sand all over the floor and the door to the balcony was broken. The balcony gate is made of pvc pipe and doesn't seem to be very safe. The pics on the website are very old because the rooms look nothing like what you see.

Review 14：We checked in late and there were no blankets or spreads on the beds. The woman that checked us in had to hunt blankets and spreads from out of unoccupied rooms. The whole building reeked of mold and mildew. When you walked outside ghetto smell of pot would knock you down. It ruined the whole experience for my family and I am truly disappointed.

Review 16：For the price room was nice and clean. We could see the ocean from balcony. Ocean right there to enjoy. Staff were really nice. Tour bus stopped every hour to pick up and drop off. Would go back again.

Review 17：We had a horrible experience with the tiki bartenders!!! Th young boy in training had no clue what he was doing! I asked for a raspberry vodka and water and he replied 'I never made that, " he was clueless. It was my 29th birthday and we were there to celebrate and spend money! The older lady was so rude, never said happy birthday and gave us attitude entire time..worst experience ever...Crabbies fits her title perfectly! !!

Review 18：We liked having a balcony that overlooked the ocean! We also liked Ginger the hotel inside bartender. She was very warm and friendly! We also liked how they sold beer and wine in the lobby.

Review 19：ROOM NEEDED CARPET, PAINT AND A THOROUGH CLEANING. THE DOOR TO THE BALCONY WAS AWFULLY RUSTY IT NEEDED TO BE SCRAPED AND REPAINTED OR REPLACED. AS A COUPLE WHO TAKE NUMEROUS WEEKEND GETAWAYS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, IT WAS NOT A GOOD CHOICE FOR US. ADDITIONALLY WITH MANY MOTELS/HOTELS OFFERING BREAKFAST, THIS PLACE DID NOT AND WAS OVERPRICED.

Review 21：Booking.com changed our room from a beachfront back to a room with a view of the beach. Thankfully the staff was able to get us a beachfront room like requested.

Review 27：When I checked in I was a early, their was nothing the GSA could do to help me at least shower & change to get comfortable. I changed in the bathroom that I found on my own & went on a tour on my own until 4. But, another guest service agent did call me when I was out on the tour to let me know my room was ready. So that was nice. Courteous.

Review 30：This is an older hotel, but very well maintained and clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Our Rooms had balconies, providing sun n sea breeze, but we had limited or no oceanview. Wonderful large gazebo overlooking the water made up for this. Very easy access to a great stretch of gorgeous beach! We stayed the first weekend of New Year. Terrific value for room size, amenities and location. Very pet friendly. Would definitely return for longer stay.

Review 31：Old hotel that is in need of a major update. All electrical cords are plugged into two power cords. (Fire Hazard) Furnishing in the room had to be at least 30 years old. Carpet was old and dirty. Over all condition of the hotel very poor. You can find a better hotel with in a 1/4 mile at a better price.

Review 64：The first night we arrived, we of course went down to the beach, and there were hundreds of newly dead, washed up fish along the beach that we were constantly having to avoid stepping on. I've never seen anything like that on any beaches I have been to. And you can imagine the smell that in sued over the next few days of our visit. Also, my sister and I are both adults, but I became very uncomfortable on multiple occasions in the pool area, as other adults (couples) were getting alittle too forward and risque toward each other (and pretty much having sex in the pool) in front of everyone, including children. I would have liked to see some kind of rules and respect for public areas inforced, maybe some kind of pool manager.

Review 65：My sister and I, had several conversations in passing with maintenance and housekeeping, as they were always active in keeping everything in order, and they were always amazing, funny, and kind. We always shared a couple laughs with them. They are the reason for my high ranks in the staff evaluations. I didn't receive the same personalities or energy from the front desk staff.

Review 78：The view was great after we asked to be moved to the 5 th floor. On thethird floor the view was the condos next door.

Review 79：We did not have an updated room. Room smelled musty, carpet looked likeit needed to be cleaned or replaced. Bed okay, but since there were 2beds in room, we took the one that was not sagging in the middle. We hadadjoining rooms since there was 6 of us (we took 2 rooms). Doors to bothbalconies should be replaced as you could see light coming in aroundthem. The handles on the doors were only used to pull door in so itcould be bolted or to push it open when it was unlocked.
