Review 3：It rooms were very nicely decorated and comfortable. The view of the Lake was beautiful. We didn't have dinner at the restaurant but we did have a drink in the bar.
Review 4：The lightbulb in the living room was out for my 3 day stay despite my reporting it - which was inconvenient as it was the primary source of light and made the room useless after dark. Also the machinery from the restaurant was very loud and provided a constant background noise.

Review 13：Location was perfect for our needs and when we compared where other friends were staying the value at Stone Lion was excellent. We read on the porch, used the refrigerator for keeping soda and water cold. We are not drinkers.
Review 14：All had decks looking out over Fort Bay. Was lovely having breakfast overlooking garden and bay. Rooms included separate kitchen. No cooking in room. But with a little planning we were able to have one dinner and one breakfast. Anything you needed was handed to you by the staff generously and with smiles. We needed cups for tea. Did not want to microwave in disposable coffee cups supplied. Needed bowl for salad and glass glasses for wine. We were told that anything we needed,just ask. I'm sure there is more that I'm not mentioning. Would definitely go back.
Review 15：The fact that it was located on a pond and had a nice patio/deck to relax on. Also was surprised that it had some limited kitchen facilities. Next time will take advantage of this.
Review 16：For the first stay in Montauk, it was a short walk to main street where all the little shops and restuarants were. the beautiful view from our room of fort pond. All of the modern amenties in the room were a bonus.

Review 21：Reception was slack on way in and out. Parking was hard Saturday nite due to restaurant sharing lot. No reserved spots for guests and we had to park in cold rain clear on other side. And this is winter- imagine July.

Review 30：Loved the location, close to all. Room was clean and perfect size for 2. Lighting could have been better, as would a full length mirror. Kitchen area was great to have, especially the full size fridge. Being able to use the beach pass was a great benefit and we were able to pick it up the night before because the "front desk" staff wouldn't be there until 10am. I will return to Stone Lion next time I'm in Montauk.

Review 33：I left the Early Maid Service Please sign on my door at 10. It was still there at noon, 1 and 2 (when I finally gave up, got fresh towels and was able to enjoy the rooms/deck without any other service). Almost ruined my stay. The housekeeping staff never made any apology, just the excuse that, "We don't start untill 11 and have to clean the incoming rooms first." That should not have been my problem as I hasd called at 1 for service and it was 2 o'clock when I finally approached them for fresh towels, There are only 8 rooms here. Why did I have to get aggravated?I paid a small fortune for my stay!
Review 34：The Inn is super convenient to town, beaches and restaurants, including right downstairs where guests get 50% off food and drinks for happy hour. The deck that ran across our rooms was spacious and of course the view and sunset could not be beat.
Review 35：The staff took away from the experience. It seems like a new hotel that doesn't know how to run itself well. The front desk staff (that also serve as the hostess for the hotel) greet you but they aren’t helpful at all with scheduling cabs or restaurant reservations (even at their sister restaurant Harvest). They aren’t helpful with getting beach towels which they said they ran out of. The hotel/restaurant has a gorgeous porch that overlooks the Fort Pond but they won’t allow you to have a cocktail there. The front desk staff sent us back to our room to have a drink on that porch. If the other hotels are booked, you’ll be fine here but don’t expect an overly comfortable experience.
