Reviews for Econo Lodge

Review 1:Could hear the water through the pipes whenever someone took a shower or flushed. Couldn't tell what type of milk there was at breakfast because it was in a pitcher.

Review 2:Was able to get a first floor room. Night desk person was very nice. Breakfast was OK.

Review 3:The room was clean & quite. I booked room online, after arriving and staff seeing me being a woman alone, they changed my room to one closer to the lobby without me even requesting it. Their thoughtfulness made me feel more secure.

Review 4:One person working the desk at 3pm when they know everyone will bechecking in because this is the earliest check in. Poor management.Towels like sandpaper. Coffee was like dishwater. Sorry. But I have paida lot less than we paid for this Econolodge and it s standard ofeverything was a lot higher.

Review 5:Location

Review 6:Terrible experience. I cannot explain in 2 or 3 sentences what all went wrong with our stay. I'll say just about everything that could go wrong DID go wrong. It was awful.

Review 7:Nothing but the location.

Review 8:The beds were very hard and uncomfortable as well as the pillows. There was only one person checking in everyone at 3pm so I had to wait in a long line to check in also. I feel that on a game day at least 2 people should have been working in check in people more efficiently.

Review 9:It was very close to the campus and where we parked for the game as well as close to restuarants.

Review 10:Outside lights didn't come on when it got dark. Outside hallways were dark. Wasn't safe feeling. Parking lot dark and dirty. Ask the office about lights. They didn't know anything about the lights. Finally later in the night the lights came on. When we checked in that evening the receptionist was nice But looked like she was in pajamas. Breakfast area poorly set up and way to small.

Review 11:I don't like the price gouging - but they all do it.

Review 12:Hotels were in high demand because of the college football game the weekend we stayed at Econolodge. We were happy to find a hotel that was not unreasonably priced. Econolodge was comfortable and in an excellent location for us.

Review 13:This hotel was disgusting. We paid $250 a night and there were bugs everywhere. There were mosquitos smashed against the walls everywhere. We were not given bed sheets and we requested them twice. The blanket was dirty and scratchy. The refrigerator didn't work! There was nothing good about this hotel. I can't believe how much we paid for such atrocities. It's was horrible.

Review 14:Bed was a little hard for my taste but my fiance loved it.. breakfast could have been better but the coffee was great

Review 15:The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

Review 16:I don't like how all the motels jack up the price on game weekends.

Review 17:It was clean! Closeness to campus. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

Review 18:The AC was terribly noisy and kept coming on & off which woke us all night long. It could not be regulated without turning it off which made it too hot.

Review 19:Great location

Review 20:There were ants on the bed in my first room, but I was quickly moved to an ant-free room. As I was there for business, I didn't appreciate it when someone played music loudly in the parking lot at 1pm, as I had only got back from a night shift at 9am. Coffee at breakfast was awful; I bought from MacDonald's instead. Room was relatively expensive, due to the A&M football game which occurred while I was there.

Review 21:Mostly quiet (apart from occasion mentioned). Reception staff were friendly and competent. Room was cleaned to a good standard. Wifi connection was free and had no problems; TV was modern and easy to use. Breakfast otherwise OK, but slightly limited in selection.

Review 22:Hotel is older Room was former smoking room and still smelled. Flipping the in room air conditioner to heat stunk up the room worse and set off the smoke alarm. Bed was not comfortable.

Review 23:Front staff was friendly

Review 24:The gap under he door let in so much light! The room felt dirty. The toilet seat was so old and worn it looked DIRTY!! That was really gross!! Lighting in the room was bad! Blankets were so thin & bed was uncomfortable! Towels were hard and ruff on your skin. The large towels to dry yourself were a joke! It was like using a hand towel!!

Review 25:The AC worked GREAT!

Review 26:The price is steep for this class of hotel. No amenities other than location. As basic a hotel as I have ever stayed, which the price does not justify. But then again supply and demand.....

Review 27:Ease of checking in.

Review 28:Not a bad experience but the walls are thin. I can see where it might be a problem but since we got in very late most everyone was sleeping

Review 29:The room was large with fridge, safe, microwave, etc. Simply decorated but nice

Review 30:I understand that there is a level of supply/demand associated with the price of these rooms; but if a property is going to charge easily 2x the average rate for the property, you would hope that certain items would be higher quality: toiletries provided, poorly functioning ironing board, etc.

Review 31:I liked the location and convenience of the property.

Review 32:Room was not clean; table was broken when we arrived in the room andmgmt has communicated they are charging us for the table; lobbyconditions were horrible. Refrigerator was not working in a friendsroom. I would recommend not ever staying here!

Review 33:Absolutely nothing!!!!!!

Review 34:The breakfast does not have much variety and the staff is very unprofessional. They were criticizing other employees in front of guests.

Review 35:It has the basics. You get what you paid for.

Review 36:Rooms are never vacuumed, towels were dirty ( had someone else hair balls in bath towels) sheets not changed (dirty) air conditioner did not work (100+ days)

Review 37:Good location, food very good. Help that could speak English were very friendly.a

Review 38:the property was run down, did not even have Kleenex tissues. You get what you pay for and I wanted an inexpensive hotel. Next visit I will pay extra for a nicer property.

Review 39:the location

Review 40:My room was not clean. The pull out bed wasn't clean. But the front desk made sure the take care of you.

Review 41:The staff at the front desk was very friendly.

Review 42:I did not like the fact that the Wi-Fi did not work. Breakfast waffles could have also been better. Batter was watery.

Review 43:I liked the good advise staff gave us for finding dinner. We are vegetarians and often find food difficult to find.

Review 44:The air did not have a temperature setting. One would wake up freezing because it would not cycle on and off. Upon arrival we were told we were too early by 2 hours. We could either sleep in our car or pay for an additional day. This was after driving 17 hours, arrival time, 5:30 am.

Review 45:Easy access to interstate for travel through out Texas. The bed was very comfortable.

Review 46:Lack of experience by staff..hotel is outdated and the outside was verydirty..This is not a family hotel

Review 47:This was a terrible place to stay.. Their staff billed me before mycheck in and I stated that I will pay on arrival.. I Was billed for a 2queen beds and a fold out couch and got 1 bed and a small couch.. We arestill waiting for our refund

Review 48:The rooms were very "dated" and needed upgrading. If you have a room on the first floor your sleep is interrupted by the staff rolling their carts to the ice machine for the morning breakfast (or so it seemed)....

Review 49:The staff were very helpful, friendly, and courteous. The lobby area was attractive and the rooms were clean.

Review 50:I was given a room at check in that was already occupied, and that reaped of what seemed to be the smell of alcohol. The appearance of the building was very old and worn.

Review 51:The location of the property was 5 minutes from my destination, and many restaurants.

Review 52:The matress was not good on the bed and the room had a musty smell. The breakfast was not taken care of as many times they were out of some things. What they did have was good.

Review 53:I loved the friendly staff and easy checkin.

Review 54:the property & rooms are run down & completely outdated. it cost $180/night - appalling for the price. The hotel also had a 7-day cancellation policy when a 1-day policy was communicated by Booking.com

Review 55:I liked nothing. I give the hotel a zero on a scale of 1-10

Review 56:I didn't like housekeeping knocking on my door to clean the room when they should be abreast of my departure date. Also, I asked for towels and never received them.

Review 57:There was a room available

Review 58:Bath towels were threadbare and too small. Need to be replaced. I almost took a picture of them and posted on social media as one of my two "bath" towels literally had threads that were hanging off. Housekeeping should have known not to put that out.

Review 59:Location and room was very comfortable.

Review 60:paid $219.00 for a hole in the wall motel-they jacked up the price because they were the only place in town that had a room it was Senior ring w/e & parents w/e-ridiculous-could now book for $58.50-which would be appropriate pricing for this place

Review 61:great location on the corner of campus

Review 62:Didn't have my reservation even though I booked it on booking.com and had a reservation number. Second time this has happened in College Station.

Review 63:Fairly clean. Good location. Great restaurant next door.

Review 64:Phone in room didn't work. The fridge was unplugged. Couldn't fix the time on the microwave. I always request a first floor room, and they said they didn't have that note and had no rooms. We were on the third floor. We could tell there were available rooms on the first floor. There is construction going on; we stayed 2 nights and they put us on the side of the construction that ended 10pm Friday night and started 8am Saturday morning.

Review 65:Wifi was great. The TV has FOXSports1.

Review 66:I got charged for the use of a safe that would not open for me to use. I asked to have them open up but mantinence never opened it for the 3 nights i was there. The whole time i was trying to shower the water temp would would suddenly get so hot i had to jump out of it, then return to where i set it about 30 seconds later. The towls where like sand paper so glad I brought me own. No plugs for my laptop or phone charger without unpluging something else or moving the bed to get to the one free plug. The vulve in the back of the toilete only slowly dripped and took all night to fill so better only need it once. simply put, as bad as days in can be, I think it would have been better.

Review 67:The bed was comfortable and the place was clean. the lady that checked me in was nice.

Review 68:The noise from the construction site nearby.

Review 69:The room was clean and well arranged. The bed was comfortable and the room heater was working very well. The hotel wifi also worked perfectly.

Review 70:Thermostat was hard to get right. Room was very hot on a cold night. Housekeeper took towel, washcloth, and soap. Didn't replace. Door lock hard to operate.

Review 71:Easy to get to. Room was reasonably clean. Microwave and fridge in room. Large room with comfortable chair.

Review 72:The room and bedspread had the smell of body odor and the blanket seemed to be very old. I was so disgusted that I left even though I forfeited a good deal of money.

Review 73:Well the room smelled weird like urine maybe animal and the TV was old the control won't even work the restroom lights had problem turning them on well they wouldn't turn on some times but over all it was ok not great but ok

Review 74:The location was very good

Review 75:The room was fine but whe. We went down for breakfast, they were already out of cups for coffee and oj. We had to use the little cups you use for the woffle mix, they had plenty of those little cups since they were also out of mix and we could not make woffles. So we made some toast, had a muffin checked out of the room and went to breakfast elsewhere before leaving town

Review 76:Our original room had a broken toilet and a sticky bathroom floor. We were moved. Prices were elevated due to football game. $230 is steep for this place.

Review 77:The continental breakfast was above par compared to most places. The cable had extensive channels and the bed was pretty comfortable.

Review 78:Terrible Hard beds. Flat pillows. Bad, old, noisy AC/Heat units Noisy - Stayed on north side - near campus housing construction. Workers start yelling promptly at 8. Booked 6 weeks out at a very high rate. Since it was cancellable up to last minute, I rechecked rates and a week out, found their availability cheaper. So I rebooked and saved some. Staff could not seem to bring themselves to be very friendly. As I ate in their bland breakfast room, I could hear Mr. Hussein yammering in Arabic behind the front desk. When I went in to ask him a question, he barely looked up to answer. Honestly, Mr. Manager, it's not that hard to show appreciation for someone's business. Stopped through the lobby one afternoon during the stay and asked if there was any coffee. Was told - "You might find some around the breakfast room, but it will be cold." Yes. That is a true lone (1) star hotel attitude and answer.

Review 79:Location. Walk. Or 5 bucks to Uber to campus

Review 80:Even though among lowest rates in area, still too much considering lack of amenities.

Review 81:Among the cheaper rates in area. Breakfast included waffles but not sugar free syrup

Review 82:TV had few channels; no coffee in the room; non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes; one bar of soap in the tub and one by the sink; didn't have anything to hold the soap once it had been used; door was very hard to open; some one had to open it for me then once I was in the room I couldn't leave because I couldn't open it.

Review 83:There was a lot of mosquitos in the room, we didn't know where they were coming in through.

Review 84:That I had a place to stay. Since everything was booked up. Good AC. very spacious.

Review 85:Breakfast is very basic (juice, waffles, cerials, coffe). Staff don't speak english well.

Review 86:Cheap place, convinient location. Rooms are currently being refurbished, but even after they smell a bit. Rooms have AC, TV and bathtub.

Review 87:Had to park at Applebee's next door, no place to park. No A/C in crowded breakfast area and terrible selection of breakfast items.

Review 88:Room was fine.

Review 89:Dirty, found a potato chip in our bed. No hot water in the evening. Could of rolled my tee shirt and made a better pillow.

Review 90:location. but there are plenty of better hotels in the same area. however they didn't have any rooms available.

Review 91:The room had an awful mildew smell. There was a toothbrush and toothpaste left in plain sight by a previous occupant, so despite the clean appearance, I questioned how thoroughly the room was cleaned.

Review 92:It was easy to access the area from the location. Very quiet despite being very full.

Review 93:Just a little out of date. Bathrooms I could tell were redone recently so that was nice.

Review 94:Loved the location. It was very close to Northgate.

Review 95:Accommodations a little low end but good enough for a quick overnight stay.

Review 96:Great price

Review 97:smoke smell in bathroom

Review 98:great location

Review 100:N/A

Review 101:Nice enviroment and location. Perfect breakfast

Review 102:Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Review 103:Price charged due to football weekend. Need coffee pot in room.

Review 104:Very clean.

Review 105:bed comfort, close to campus

Review 106:nasty, little to -0- amenities, price way over inflated due to football game and little choices on where to stay

Review 107:location

Review 108:Good location. Clean Nice place

Review 109:Property is run down, but clean. The first night, there were absolutely no lights on outside. I thought the place had been closed when I drove by.

Review 110:Two days after we left when cleaning out my bag (which was on the extrabed the whole weekend) we found a bed bug inside

Review 111:Not enough pillows!

Review 112:Closeness to Texas A & M campus

Review 113:Breakfast was terrible. Elevator needs to be cleaned

Review 114:NA

Review 115:Every aspect of the hotel very ok

Review 116:Convenient

Review 117:Bed was hard

Review 118:Great breakfast, good location, good price.

Review 119:Not a bad place to stay price is a little high for the place but overall good. We stayed here for the Alabama game

Review 120:The bathroom was dirty. At 2:00 am the room next door were talking and we could hear every word ,walls were so thin. Stay somewhere else.

Review 121:You can hear everything outside the room. Sound insulation was nil

Review 122:helpful staff

Review 123:The location was right where I needed to be.

Review 124:Noisy especially on the ground floor. Over priced on game weekend but thats everything in CSTAT. Authorizes card in advance.

Review 125:Great Location, Clean

Review 126:Staff were very nice! Rooms were big! Good breakfast!

Review 127:The room smelled.

Review 128:Great water pressure in shower.

Review 129:Nice hotel and good price

Review 131:Breakfast could of been better
