Reviews for Bricktown Hotel and Convention Center
Review 1:The Bricktown Hotel & Convention Center is going thru renovation, bear with them. They are making good changes. We had a clean room with comfortable bed, shower with good water pressure, (sounds silly, but think about when you didn't have that) and plenty of plug-ins for our media devices. They had shuttle service for us, very friendly staff, complimentary breakfast and a Good Price!
Review 2:I know they are going through renovations but they could have vacuumed the hallways , very dusty and dirty
Review 3:The price , fairly close to Bricktown , plenty of parking , shuttle service , loved the convenience of the sliding patio door in our room however the lock did need to be fixed
Review 4:Booking.com says that the shuttle is free within an 8km radius - this isn't true the shuttle only goes to Bricktown and Downtown Oklahoma City (this is the booking sites issue not the hotels) As the hotel is under renovations I would've expected the room to be a little bit cheaper and the entrance isn't marked very well from the front of the building.
Review 5:Free shuttle to Bricktown was nice, and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and had great customer service skills
Review 6:Our trip was for New Year's Eve. We were told construction would be complete. It was not. We were told bar would be open until 2 am. It closed before we could even return from Thunder game. There were also hoards of high school students there for New Year's Eve party that we were unaware of until after we checked in
Review 7:Shuttle service
Review 8:This is the second time we stayed in less than a month , both times there was fighting / partying going on in the hallway well past midnight , I get that there renovating but vacuume the common areas at least .
Review 9:Leaving
Review 10:This hotel was in the process of being renovated with construction materials and debris everywhere. Had we known that we wouldn't have stayed there . Our room was only partially finished. You should have let us know when we made the reservation . Once finished it may be nice but for now not a place to stay .
Review 11:We wanted to go to Bricktown. The location was very easy to get to and from. The staff was very courteous and answered all of our questions. Although we did not use the shuttle service, it was nice to know that is was available for us.
Review 12:It was really loud in the lobby because of construction when I checked in, I was really afraid to check in. I was assured that the room would be quiet. Lots of construction was going on.
Review 13:The room was clean, had a microwave and small refrigerator in it
Review 14:The shuttle to Bricktown is so nice ..the second night we used this service and called the hotel to be pickup ...it took about 30 minutes for someone to answer the hotel phone and then while we were waiting for the shuttle to be picked up on the street we told them the shuttle passed by us and didn't stop we had to call the hotel back ..the driver informed us he was provided the incorrect address
Review 15:Hallways dirty. The worst thing was no heat . Too cold to take a shower. The was a sheet over the window and I could not look outside.
Review 16:Room was very clean
Review 17:They didn't have the room we booked. Got stuck with 2 queen beds and they wouldnt drop the price for the inconvenience. We also witnessed the front staff get in two different arguments with guest which was odd.
Review 18:The free shuttle is nice but when we needed to be picked up at 930p (open in until 11p) it took 30 minutes to get a hold of someone to come get us. Microwave in our room was nice. Not all hotels have that.
Review 19:The outside was off putting. Unfortunately there was remodeling on our floor and it smelled like something was burning for the 1st day we were there.
Review 20:I loved the shuttle. Luckily the room I was in was recently remodeled so it was nice.
Review 21:There was a homeless person laying on the ground. The tolilete was broken. Part of the wall was ripped out. Shower didn't work properly. Pillows were flat, blankets scratchy. Could her neighbor room and their dog. Site should have stated they were renovating and is not located in bricktown but outside of bricktown.
Review 22:Staff was friendly.
Review 23:It was dirty. The shower did not work in my room. I had a non-smoking room but it smelled like smoke. I did not have a coffee pot. The patio door did not lock properly.
Review 24:The Staff was very nice.
Review 25:Unfortunately, our stay coincided with massive renovations at the hotel.
Review 26:It was nice to have the complimentary limousine from hotel into Bricktown/ downtown and back again!
Review 27:I think during their renovations the price should have been cheaper, Wifi dropped in and out, no laundry facilities as disconnected, their computers didn't work and the air conditioning was so noisy.
Review 28:the staff and the free curtsy bus was great.
Review 29:The staff replenished the towel/washrag supply once. They never changed out the bedclothes. The facility is undergoing renovation, which was never mentioned in the reservation process..The noise level was bad during the day.
Review 30:The bed was comfortable. I had a spacious room, which opened to the swimming pool.
Review 31:Breakfast was awful, nothing to chose from. Rooms were wiped over but not dissinfected and cleaned thoroughly, I found a used condom and packaging between the head of the bed and the wall while trying to find an outlet. We had a smoking room but no ventilation.
Review 32:In town for Def Leppard 2015, stayed here because of free shuttle and smoking rooms. I will definately stay here again. Staff was great! Had made reservations for smoking room, put us in non-smoking room. 1 call to the desk and we were quickly changed to our smoking room. Shuttle driver was friendly, and only had to wait about 15 min. 24 hr restraurant across the street. Beds were comfy!! Hotel is big enough to spread out guests. Some epic parties that night, however we heard nothing, not many people did:)
Review 33:People were verbally and physically fighting in parking lot outside our room. It woke us up, our 4 year old was frightened, my husband was afraid to go back to sleep because we had a lot of tools in back of truck; it was in a run down part of town without adequate security.
Review 34:Ease of check in Breakfast was excellent
Review 35:The fact that there was no warning they were doing renovation work.
Review 36:Nothing, the staff does a good job with what they have to work with. The parts of the motel that were not being renovated were very nasty !!!
Review 37:the guy working the 2nd night was not at all nice or helpful , he closed the pool early around 9:30, he said they had put the chemicals in already, it wasnt supposed to close till 10, our room key wouldnt work so we called the front desk and he basically told us we would have to come to front desk because he was the only one there when in fact he had already said the maintainence man had closed the pool, also the guy from first night said there was a shuttle to downtown basically anytime we needed, the second night guy there was noone else in the hotel besides him to assist, basically lied to us.
Review 38:the gentleman that checked us in the first night was very nice, informative, helpful etc.
Review 39:Water faucets didn't work properly in bathroom, Water wouldn't shut off in sink Had a very hot shower as it was impossible to figure out how to mix the water with the set up they had.
Review 40:The Shuttle was the best perk.
Review 41:I realize the were renovating but they started working on a room right next to ours very early in the morning and they didnt stop despite me beating on the wall and hollering.Very loud not some light tapping ! It took forever for the water to get hot in the shower but i guess for $70 what did i expect.
Review 42:Shuttle service was awesome! I would stay here again just for that reason.waffle house across the street was great also close to ballpark and chesapeake and easy access to I40.I would come back but not until after they finish renovations.
Review 43:Hotel is undergoing extensive renovation; room availability is extremely limited; online photos misleading. Could be a nice place to stay in 2-3 years, after renovations are complete.
Review 44:Room rate; in-room amenities; close-in & well-lighted parking.
Review 45:Location, the fact that we had not been informed it was being renovated before arrival. Misleading information on web site. Cleanliness in public and outside areas. Cigarette butts everywhere.
Review 46:Nothing
Review 47:Under construction Lots of feathers and leaves in kiddie pool
Review 48:All staff pleasant and helpful. Room opened right to pool area! Close to BRICKTOWN B BALL FIELD. Would like to come back and try the Shuttle service.
Review 49:Everything, the place was all torn apart, no air in hallways, staff was very unfriendly. People just out in halls everywhere. Old furniture just lying in halls, rooms with just plastic over doors in very dark areas, could be dangerous.
Review 50:When we arived the staff was arguing with a gust while we waited for keys. Very outdated rooms and the hallways looked like something out of a college dorm. There was no hot water for showers.
Review 51:The shuttle service was 24hr.
Review 52:Too close to the noise of the truck stop next door. Remodeling was a total mess. My room was in definite need of remodeling.
Review 53:Bathroom and linens were clean. Easy access to the freeway.
Review 54:Only one guy during busy checkin time. Took forever to login. Some rooms were hot hot hot at checkin. Give guests a discount during renovations...
Review 55:Location is easy to find. Rooms are fine.
Review 56:It is not in a great location, and it needs remodeled. But overall it was good.
Review 57:It is convenient for the shuttle to downtown. The layout is cool, and the staff is very nice and helpful.
Review 58:The outside of the hotel was very scary. Almost cancelled reservation and was willing to pay cancellation fee
Review 59:The staff were very nice and accommodating and showed me around the inside of the hotel and the room before I paid. Great service
Review 60:The pool deck was covered in bird poop and there were limited tanning chairs .
Review 61:Everything was clean and ready to go. The staff was helpful and the shuttle downtown was easy and fast !
Review 62:The hotel in rooms were dirty. The breakfast for the maid. Even the prepackaged items did not taste very well. When I sat on the bed the wheels fell off and I fell on the floor. Very unacceptable.
Review 63:I like the fact that there was breakfast in the morning.
Review 64:They were remodeling but they tried to keep the inconvenience minimal.
Review 65:Nice rooms. They were clean. Staff was pleasant. They even supplied a letter with helpful tips for the hotel which I have never experienced at any other hotel.
Review 66:Nothing worked!!! Looks nothing like pictures of room online.Room wasfilthy I called front desk to have room switched no one answered. Sincewe were there on business we asked for late checkout yet the maidsknocked and yelled through our door early anyway. I woke up covered inbug bites, the shower didn't work and was blackin the bottom, thewifi didn't work and the door on our room didn't close we had touse the fold over lock to keep it closed. When checking out the girlpractically called me a liar saying I had gotten mosquito bites. If Ihad been outside maybe but theses are the size of a quarter and thereare about 20 of them and they weren't there when I changed for bedthe night before.
Review 67:The guy that checked us in was friendly.
Review 68:I was under the impression this hotel was in Bricktown; it is not. It is only about five minutes away, but in a completely unrelated area that was not well kept. Had several issues with our room keys. We asked for a different room and were left in our original room and had to go to the front desk every time we needed in our room. The renovations made the hotel appear trashy. Multiple windows were boarded up.
Review 69:The price was acceptable.
Review 70:Is the bath tub didn't drain well.the toilet stop up and the pool was hard to get out of
Review 71:I liked the free shuttle service and polite and kind staff
Review 72:The breakfast was horrible! Lots of prefab foods. No eggs bacon sausage potatoes, just gravy in a crock pot with cold thawed from frozen biscuits you had to put in a microwave to warm up.
Review 73:Room by the pool and shuttle service!
Review 74:air condition blew right om me. window curtin was broke and wouldn't stay up,very few tv programs availible except payed programs. tv remote broke
Review 75:friendly helpfull staff
Review 76:Under construction. Long walk to room. When finished...looks like it will be great.
Review 77:The staff is nothing short of AWESOME!!! From first person we met to the very last!! Top notch personalities and professionalism!
Review 78:I didn't like the fact that they were remodeling. Many rooms had plastic over them and there was ripped up carpet squares infront of the doors. The mini bar also was being remodeled so it was unavailable for leisure.
Review 79:the thing I liked the most about the stay was the free shuttle service. They were very good about bringing me to the places I wanted to go and they got me where I needed when I needed.
Review 80:The place is dirty and needs major reconstruction. The only reason we came back was because of the shuttle service. Even this will not draw us back again
Review 81:The shuttle service
Review 82:The shuttle driver was absolutely lazy, unpleasant, and downright unpolite. He had no desire to b e doing his job.
Review 83:they cut my room charge in half after I complained about the cleanliness of the room
Review 84:Lady at the front desk talked on phone while helping us while the other lady just stood there. Had a long walk to the room not to mention the stairs. The rooms were very outdated and certainly not worth a 129 a night.
Review 85:Shuttle was great, friendly drivers and you didn't have to wait long at all!
Review 86:the hall were filthy, mold, broken air conditioners in hall. The doors into the hotel did not work. no restaurant or bar due to renovations. maybe 1 star .
Review 87:shuttle
Review 88:This hotel needs ALOT of work. I would not stay here again until it was done, and I don't think I would book it without seeing it firsthand. They are working on it, but not quickly.
Review 89:The free shuttle
Review 90:Former employee booked the date wrong, but they had rooms available so it worked out.
Review 91:Free 24 hr shuttle. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Clean room. Quiet. They are remodeling but it didn't affect our stay.
Review 92:The staff was kind of all over the place. They checked us into a roomthat was already taken and then when we used the shuttle I got griped atfor where the driver took us stating it was too far. This was after wegot to our destination and need a ride back!... And the breakfast waskind of a joke. I need protein!:)
Review 93:The very big plus here was that our room was clean and we slept well.
Review 94:A/C didn't work and they did nothing to make amends about it. Lounge was closed.
Review 95:Rooms seemed well insulated, couldn't hear people in next room.
Review 96:They need to expedite their remodeling process. Has been since February. Fix the bar. Work to be done should have been done in a few weeks
Review 97:Staff was nice and helpful, with the exception of the man that checked me in. Shuttle service was exceptional!
Review 98:I wish the breakfast options were better. They had all carbs things I couldn't eat. Was hoping for eggs. We had to go somewhere else but that's because I have an allergy. Not there fault.
Review 99:It was super close to our dental course from the hotel. Also we had no problems with our stay. Rooms were clean, people were quite and staff let us check in early. Super nice.
Review 100:This location is about a mile east of downtown. The hotel is old and run down, and the location is scary. The carpets are nasty. Not worth half of what it cost. Never again.
Review 101:The evening desk person was very nice. The bed was very comfortable.
Review 102:It's located close to medical facilities that we utilize, but the area it's located in is kind of rough! A little more security would put my mind at ease.
Review 103:People on staff are super nice and friendly!
Review 104:Still under construction but never saw anyone working on facility. Rooms very far from front desk. Hallways dark and did not feel that safe outside of room at night so stayed in and worked. Not best neighbor but there are worse ones.
Review 105:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and as advertised. Everything working, clean room and comfortable. Room worth the price paid but for location/facility a bit overpriced.
Review 106:We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived that the staff had done something extra for us since it was our 35th Wedding Anniversary. They went above and beyond.
Review 107:I can say that there has been some updating to the rooms in the last year which was great but that needs to transfer to the linens. They had seen better days, but it was a minor flaw. Also there was one incident when I was waiting for the shuttle. We stood on the curb and it past us up twice, we weren't upset just wanted to ensure that we could catch it so I called and the night receptionist (raspy smoker voice) immediately started with attitude telling me that I wasn't waiting for it and that he stopped 3 times for us. I just would have appreciated better customer service. I would have liked like a yes ma'am he will be there shortly or something considering I was currently in the spot she was telling I hadn't been it. The driver was very apologetic when we got picked up and it made up for the annoying receptionist.
Review 108:My boyfriend and I have stayed here twice in 2 yrs and have been happy each time. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place. But if you want free 24 hour shuttle service that will drop you off and pick you up wherever you need to go and are okay with clean yet dated rooms with standard applicances then this is the ticket. Each time the rooms have been clean, we have had a good complimentary breakfast (the lady who serves it is sweet), and have been dropped off and picked up from seeing thunder games, going to dinner, and going out for drinks! The Lady at front desk during the day (short redish hair) is also great!
Review 109:The shower hard to adjust and bathroom drain did not work.
Review 110:The shuttle service for being not walking distance from Bricktown. And thet were very pet friendly! Spaciousness of room.
Review 111:It is marketed as a better place than it really is. It's in a off the path area, gave me a somewhat dingy feeling. Probably wouldn't stay there again.
Review 112:Friendly front staff
Review 113:Never got a password for WiFi Kept driving past it because didn't see location Bed was uncomfortable The A/C-heater unit was LOUD The shower was hard to actually get it to a temperature we could stand Units are updated and hard to figure out where all the rooms are located
Review 114:Nice, friendly staff It was clean and taken care of
Review 115:The hotel is in need if some updating. We felt like step kids because we were given rooms all the way to the back of the hotel. The first room smelled so bad of smoke we had to request another room. In the second room the cold water did not turn in in the shower, but the hot water was HOT. The walk back and fort to the service desk became like exercise.
Review 116:We loved the option to have a driver to take us back and forth to Bricktown!
Review 117:Nothing was wrong.
Review 118:Everyone was nice and generous. The staff was very helpful. Quiet and comfortable. Centrally located to everything that we wanted to see and do. It was a very pleasant stay.
Review 119:Climate control (smell & no filters) TV Listings/availability No shower fan Very, old everything Biscuits & gravy No eggs/bacon Faulty alarm clocks
Review 120:Price Fridge Microwave Waffles
Review 121:Breakfast was a bit boring, plenty to eat but nothing special, it was free so maybe I'm a bit picky
Review 122:Location, only 1-6 miles from Bricktown, combined with free courtesy transport I didn't need to spend a fortune on down town hotels or cabs
Review 123:The staff is by far the best part of this hotel. Room was large and clean, although somewhat dated. Free shuttle to and from Bricktown makes up for location, which is much farther from Bricktown than we expected.
Review 124:Could not find any
Review 125:Hotel was great at bringing us around the city with shuttle the shuttle driver was great value for what you get. Breakfast shuttle pool
Review 126:The bar was REAL little it was a good thing we do not have claustrophobia!!!!!
Review 127:We parked our car & the drivers of the shuttle took us everywhere. The drivers were friendly, helpful, patient (we had my mother-in-law with us), and had a WONDERFUL ATTITUDE!!! The front desk personal also had a great attitude and didn't seem to mind getting phone calls even if it was just for questions.
Review 128:It's all good but this hotel needs a total revamp As it's very outdated :(. It has all the ingredients of a good hotel but decor is a lot to be desired. I payed $357 for 3 nights which was very expensive for the quality of this hotel. We stayed in the Aloft in Tulsa for $109 for the night and it was modern and clean room.
Review 129:They have a microwave and fridge in the room which is convenient. They have 2 free washing machines which was good to use. Breakfast includes cereal, yogurt, pastries and waffles. Staff are v helpful and friendly- they were great and there is a free shuttle.
Review 130:Location. Outdated. Outer appearance needed cleaning. Overall, it was "scruffy." Access to I 40 was confusing.
Review 131:The room was clean. The staff was friendly.
Review 132:could have used just a little updating, and darker curtains, too much light coming in the room at night
Review 133:the staff was very friendly and very helpful, had a decent breakfast buffet, I loved the shuttle service and they were really very friendly full of advice on the questions I ask
Review 134:Outside needs a huge makeover. I was skeptical about staying there because of what the outside looked like. Once inside it was a huge difference.
Review 135:Inside was well kept and a pleasure to stay. Had shuttle to downtown so we didn't have to drive and try and find a parking space for the ballgame. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and nice to stay in.
Review 136:We tried 3 rooms. My wife had a broken knee and no elevator. Theygraciously moved us to downstairs "courtyard" room. That roomhad not had no locks on door to the "courtyard". Moved to room3 and it was good. The faucets were a bit haunting. Turned on bythemselves! Frequently! The front desk staff tried so hard to make ushappy and we appreciated their efforts. The name of hotel is verymisleading! Not in Bricktown. Great shuttle service, front desk staffmost redeeming factor. I doubt if we stay here again.
Review 137:Bathroom sinks turned on all by themselves! Rather interesting. Room wascomfortable and appeared clean.
Review 138:Complete misrepresentation of the location - as this is NOT in Bricktown - and is not even within a walkable distance. They did have a shuttle - but it really doesn't make up for wanting to be in the Bricktown area.
Review 139:Not a thing!!
Review 140:we had a room that opened to the pool! Big, spacious, and very comfortable! We love the shuttle bus so no one has to drive or pay for parking! Cant wait to go back for more girl time!!
Review 141:I felt there could have been room for a sitting chair or recliner, instead of one person in the chair and the other person on the bed.
Review 142:Like the fact that we had a shuttle available to us to Remington Park and Bricktown.
