Review 1：Room service meal (hamburger) was a bit dry and could have been better presented. I would also have liked more choice of TV channels as we were there to really chill out.

Review 2：The friendliness of the staff and their willingness to be of service. The beds and pillows were very comfortable too. Breakfast was great value for money and beautifully prepared. Having a HOT cappochino coffee was also a great plus!

Review 3：The kettle needs to be replaced as it takes forever to boil. It would be very nice in future planning if the top rooms had balconies .

Review 7：Room was small and bathroom not up to four stars. Overlooking noisy parking lot. Walls are thin and noisy cleaners in the day and certain loud guests without consideration for others would talk and bang doors late at night. That said if we were out all day at beach and dining at night then this wouldn't have bothered us with a toddler.

Review 12：The breakfast service the Sunday morning.... Staff clearing tables etc. but we had to ask to be seated, then for cutlery, then to order. Felt disappointed :( on both mornings preference was for salmon, but out of stock. The replacement was not bad. the chef knows what he is doing :)

Review 76：As long term travellers we were looking for a cosy and quiet place to let some rainy days pass by and make some further arrangements for the journey. The hotel was just perfect for our purposes and staff was really friendly and helpful. Review 79：During our stay there was no water in the rooms. This was apparently due to the municipality but it was very unpleasant being unable to shower. The water in the taps when we first arrived before the water was no longer available was bracken and we had drank it before we saw the notice and realised they had provided small bottles of water in the fridge. This was not sufficient. It would have been better to have informed their guests on arrival.

Review 82：The hotel is located in a very relaxing area and beautiful area, we visited the area to celebrate our 17th year anniversary in our marriage and I could proudly say it was indeed a perfect choice for occasion. we enjoyed the freshly, healthy breakfast.

Review 83：Design of bathroom basin awful and tricky tap - constant visible 'scummy' residue in basin whenever used. Most visible at night. Drain quite blocked and horrible 'dirty; drain smell when basin was used. I can't explain it - but I can smell clean! Bathroom certainly was clean so housekeeping doing their job - but I felt as if everything could have been scrubbed perhaps with 'harsher' cleaner for that extra clean feel and smell - perhaps some perfumed products would help but not to mask a lack of thorough cleanliness. Shower floor worried me as it felt very slippery once shower gel used - again was floor super clean to start with - difficult to tell? I do have an obsession about bathroom germs and cleanliness! Also, a tray should be placed at coffee tea station - nothing to put teabags, dirty spoons, etc on. TV reception not great - interference. Food tended to be cold, we did not like the breakfast bacon (shoulder bacon? tough) - so food okay but temperature a problem. Also a touch of selection would be better eg not just apricot jam with toast - have a choice of strawberry jam or something as well.... my husband hates apricot jam. It would have been amazing if we could have gone for a long walk on banks of river from outside the hotel but we were warned that it might not be safe up towards Solly Kramers.... that would have been the cherry on the top. We loved out stay and I would go back in a heartbeat! We will spread the word about this chain of hotels which I had never heard of before!

Review 84：Staff were extremely pleasant, friendly, helpful, chatty but not intrusive, all very clean, smart and articulate - all round excellence. Decor and seating areas/bar outstanding. Lighting exquisite. Being able to sit/read outside was stunning on the banks of the river - view beautiful. Great to have some books to choose from in lounge area - needs to be expanded as is the goal I believe but a great idea. How about a note on website when booking that clients can bring books to swop. Croissants were the best I have ever tasted and coffee fantastic!

Review 113：There was no water for two days during my trip. Apparently a water main had burst which affected the entire town of Port Alfred. No backup and had to use pool water. On a third day there was no hot water as apparently the geyser had tripped. Had a cold shower.

Review 118：There was a most unpleasant smell coming into the room . A smell of urine which was accentuated if the window was left open. The wash basin was a very poor experience. The ater pressure was poor and the plug made it difficult to empty.
