Reviews for Bear Creek Cabins
Review 1:It was so nice to be just outside Seward, close enough to easily go out in town but so peaceful and a much more pleasant experience than staying in a hotel. There was a stream nearby full of salmon and some nice little trails within walking distance. Charming
Review 2:Our flight was canceled in Kodiak because of high winds and I called to explain our circumstances. They were very gracious and did not charge us for the missed day. When we arrived there was a welcome sign on our door and the cottage was clean and welcoming. She told us that there had been a bear sighting at the creek close to the cabins we were very excited and hoped to see one. We also took a short walk down to the fish hatchery to see the salmon come in to spawn. We had an amazing stay:)
Review 3:The only downside was that self catering is challenging with the limited facilities but as long as you plan ahead it is OK.
Review 4:We booked this for the location and it didn't disappoint... Peaceful and surrounded by nature. Salmon in the creek and bears in the woods. The cabin (number 4) was well furnished and clean. Candy and Carl were welcoming and friendly.
Review 5:You will LOVE this place. Very comfortable. A little hard to find the first time but after that easy. Love the quiet beauty around the cabin. Very nicely decorated. Great bed. TV and wifi worked great. Definitely recommended
Review 6:The only thing negative was the internet kept dropping but was also nice to switch off from the world so didnt bug us that much!
Review 7:Great little cabin right alongside the river and forest. Very comfortable with easy access to Seward and nearby trails.
Review 8:The location was not in town of Seward but great. Total 4 cabins built alone a creek. My wife and I saw a bear pass by our cabin during the first night of our stay. It's quiet and comfort and very clean. And, I recieved a gift before leaving. I love that hat.
Review 9:King size beds would be nice, and shower is very small, but comfortable otherwise.
Review 10:Nice location "in the woods." We enjoyed walking down the road to see the salmon jumping in the stream. This is a great location for a small family.
Review 11:Room was comfortable, very clean and neat. It was a cabin in the woods as described very near Bear Creek. It was nice to hear the sound of the creek at night.
Review 12:Nothing at all.
Review 13:The cabins are very well maintained. They are very clean, and the owners make them very welcoming by adding a few nice touches such as a tea, coffee and snacks for arrival, as well as some cutlery. When we stayed, the weather in Seward was very wet, and particularly miserable, which made the cabins all the more cosy and comfortable to return to. Also TV and WiFi if you need to find something to do.
Review 14:Candy was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. The cabin was very cozy and comfortable and a great setting for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. The sound of the running creek close by and the beautiful natural surroundings added to our experience. We enjoyed being able to go for walks and see the salmon in the creek close by and the snow-capped mountains through the trees. As for the location, we enjoyed the drive into Seward and it was only a ten minute drive into town. Definitely a great experience for us and would highly recommend it.
Review 15:The bed was at the wall so the person lying on the right needs to crawl over if you have to get up at night.
Review 16:We stayed here for 2 nights. The cabins are excellently furnished and well maintained. We would return here anytime again!
Review 17:There wasn't anything that I didn't like about the cabin.

Review 33:Clean & quiet
Review 34:The nearby neighborhood is a mix of basic homes and an RV Park, and detracted from the cabin 'experience' in my opinion.
Review 35:The Bear Creek fish weir is a short walk. Seeing the salmon running was great. Several bald eagles scouted the area from above. The owner is very friendly, and was very helpful suggesting restaurants and things to do. Very conscious of keeping the rooms very clean. Great cabins.
Review 36:The setting was incredible. . . 50 yards from a beautiful stream with salmon running, close to town and yet you felt like you were really experiencing some of Alaska's nature. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed.
Review 37:We really enjoyed going down to the creek on the property to see salmon spawning. Also, we stayed in Cabin 3 and it was nice to have a comfy leather couch to watch tv from. It also had a guest book that we enjoyed looking at. It was a unique place to stay.
Review 38:The rain!
Review 39:This was a great place to stay in Seward. It was off the beaten path and cozy. Never saw another person around the place so the seclusion was great. The cabin was clean and warm and had all the amenities of home...microwave, fridge and coffee pot. I would recommend this place for a stay in Seward anytime!!
Review 40:Lovely cabin decor; large room w/microwave/fridge; very comfortable bed. Has scenic location with abundant wildlife. Location is close to Seward tours and shopping (10 minutes). Staff makes you feel special.

Review 42:Not a thing
Review 43:The owner met us as we drove in- welcomed us by name, walked us down to the cabin. The cabin was clean, beautiful furniture, bed was comfortable, had a refrigerator and microwave. Just a short walk down to the creek where salmon were jumping. It was, by far, the best place we stayed during our trip to Alaska.
Review 44:The place was really nice and only made better by the friendly owners. Everything was super clean and even though it is outside of town by a few miles it is accessible to everything you'd want to do in Seward. If we make it back to Alaska we would certainly stay here again.
Review 45:Hard to find front office while being remodeled.
Review 46:Friendly staff, secluded location, nice and clean facilities. I had a couple special requests that Candy went out of her way to help us.
Review 47:The cabin was very clean, cosy and set in the mountains. It was sixmiles from Seward which was very convenient. We were very pleased withthe cabin and would recommend it to others visiting the area!!
Review 48:Next to a shabby RV park. We were disheartened at first because it had a very similar name.
Review 49:Very nice interior of the cabin. Well worth the price. The cabins are next to a salmon stream. Bears had been seen in the area but we didn't see one.
Review 50:Im never a fan of paying a lot for a hotel and for me just wanting to get out of the house wnd relax its kind of spendy but I still enjoyed it.
Review 51:I loved how friendly they were.
Review 52:It is early in the season, the little gazebo had a log that had fallen on it at some point this winter. It had not been fixed yet.
Review 53:Room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable which was very important. The staff were very accomodating to my requests. Late check in process was very easy! It definately felt like cabin in the woods, but with modern comforts. Very comfortable for a couple enjoying a private romantic weekend.
