Review 1：Difficulty using the tv system, not the first time this has happened. Had to call support in.

Review 2：Being that it was the holidays, the resort needed a bit more holiday sparkle.

Review 3：I booked this room for my parents birthdays (they celebrate their birthdays within two weeks of one another). They were down visiting my husband, my daughter and me while also making arrangements to build their new home. I thought Pelican Hill would be the perfect place for them to enjoy a quick getaway and it was. I told the staff that I was booking their room as a birthday gift so, they left a bottle of chilled champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for them. It was such a nice added compliment. I really appreciate that the staff was able to do that.

Review 4：The only thing that we did not like was our room was really far from the lobby. We asked to move to a closer room same grade as ours. At first the front desk said the next morning they could move us. Then the next morning they said they couldn't move us because a large group was coming in. I asked to move before they came. They said they wouldn't move us. It was a inconvenience to have to have a shuttle take and pick us up all the time. I would not stay there again if they couldn't guarantee us a closer room,even though I thought it was a beautiful resort with a great staff ,except for a few workers at the front desk.

Review 8：we requested a crib when we booked a Ocean Bungalow King. However, when we arrived, it's not ready. We stayed in room# 234, only can see ocean view from a tiny corner, the front is blocked by a lot of trees, not worth the money.

Review 15：Pelican Resort is a beautiful place and we have been fortunate to stay many times over the years. This trip was a regular ocean view bungalow 113. The Pelican Grill is the restaurant of choice and never disappoints.

Review 23：This was one of our best and most relaxing vacations. Everyone from the staff including the cleaning staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a fantastic facial from Erika. The breakfast was excellent and the sweet waitress even helped cut up my son's pancakes for him while I was dealing with the baby.

Review 30：The hotel cancelled our reservation by mistake and when we arrived wouldn't provide a room with an extra large bed (which we had specifically requested as my husband is particularly tall and has back issues). We repeatedly requested a change but the request was not granted until my husband began suffering severe pain. Housekeeping also woke us up at 8:30am to tidy the room. When we complained about these issues staff was polite but very unhelpful.

Review 34：Rooms are beautiful. This visit we were 'eligible for an upgrade' to an ocean view bungalow. But wait.. I was charged an extra $250 bringing this upgrade to an $800 room..so I'm assuming that everyone is eligible for an upgrade as long as you're willing to pay. Ok.. The pain of the extra fee quickly diminished when we saw Room 325 off via Caori. Super lovely.. Much larger than the standard garden bungalow.. 1 king bedroom with bathroom, living room, dining table, wet bar nicely appointed, and another full bath. Large patio with an ocean view as promised. Comfortable, roomy, cozy .. Worth $800?..I don't know and really what is .. Is it one of the best rooms in Orange County? No doubt.

Review 35：The only negative was that we didn't go to the pool until noon, and all of the chaises were taken (at both pools!) by that time, so guests were directed to the beach (which is what the teenagers opted for) via a complimentary hotel shuttle. Though the beach was packed, all in all it was a great time, as the hotel made every effort to provide guests with towels, chairs and umbrellas!

We were very disappointed so they gave us a nice ocean view and $50 credit but we were still disappointed. Andrea dinner was very bad and overpriced. We've eaten there about 6 times and this was the worst by far. We pre-ordered a vegan meal and they told us they would make the vegetarian options without cheese, but they were awful. The regular meal was not good either. Unacceptable!
