Lodge Mansfield Game Reserve sells fast on our site. Spread over 1000 acres of bush where African animals roam, Mansfield Game Reserve is by the Kowie River. The self-catering accommodation ranges from ox wagons to a house with private pool.
With a deck featuring panoramic river views, the log cabin includes a wood-burning boiler. Overlooking the reserve, open-plan dormitories have a bathroom as part of the unit, while the 19th-century ox wagons share communal bathrooms.
Braai barbecue areas are provided with each accommodation option, and the house has a kitchen, as well as an open-plan dining room and lounge with fireplace and wooden ceiling. The seasonal riverside Black Rock Restaurant within the grounds is also available for meals.
Activities include game drives, river trips and canoeing, and children have access to a play area. Several hiking trails offer opportunities for animal and birdwatching.
Set off the R67, 3.7 miles from Port Alfred, Mansfield Reserve is around a 15-minute drive from Port Alfred Airport. On-site parking is free.

Review 1：Electricity would be a big plus. (Maybe I'm too much of a city slicker)

Review 2：The view was the best. The game is fabulous. The camping site at the river is great. I also rate the security highly. We never felt unsafe.

Review 3：There was a terrible smell of sewerage. My time was consumed by a delayed relocation to a better place. Spend the night without esting utensils as well as plates despite having requested for them. Later lost the key but paid.

Review 5：There is an airschool nearby, and early in the morning they can be a bit annoying. Nothing where Mansfield can do anything about, but good to know.

Review 6：We had a great stay of 3 days. We slept in the lodge one night, and in a cabin, Eagle's Nest, the next two nights. Eagle's Nest is beautifully located, and has a fabulous view. We met the animals on our way to and from the cabin. We also had a gamedrive. You should not hesitate to take one!

Review 9：Even though the booking was done late, every effort was made to accommodate us very quickly. The view was absolutely stunning, the room was spotless and absolutely perfectly sited, I would recommend you to anyone without any doubt. Thank you, just wish it was far longer.

Review 11：The house we rented was beautiful, spacious and full of all the amenities we could have hoped for (e.g. pool, braii/grills with wood, large kitchen with utensils and dishes). Plus the person working was extremely accommodating to our group's challenging check in and out needs. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!
