Reviews for Auberge Wild Rose Inn

Review 1:This Inn reminded me of a countryside English Inn with the decor, a little dated, but the comfort and cleanliness was superb! Quiet, relaxing and can't wait to go again

Review 2:Denis and his wife are so great they will go above and beyond for there customer's. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants great service and a nice and clean place.

Review 3:We booked online based on pictures from website but when arrived given different suite we upgraded to honeymoon at additional cost we did love the suite but thought if it was a honeymoon suite and we should have received wine or chocolates etc..the ad did not give the separate option on the website to differinate between rooms and based on additional costs and it being the honeymoon suite we expected more. enjoyed stay but felt should have option with breakfast for allergies

Review 4:If someone is looking to be right in the city, this is not the place, but it is only about 10 mins from the mall.

Review 5:It was quiet, a very lovely, large room. Clean. Flat screen tv.

Review 6:loved everything!

Review 7:love the room.love the location, seen 2 deers in yard, beautiful sight.owners are great.had a nice romantic evening cannot wait to go again.love the world tub.breakfast was good, etc etc

Review 8:the only thing I would suggest is to burn a nice scented something in the main part of the house. It is an old colonial style Inn and needs fresheners because of the age. A choice of breakfast would have been nice too. Food intolerances need to be taken into consideration.

Review 9:I liked the upgrade to a room with a Jacuzzi tub and fireplace.

Review 10:The signage to the Inn was hard to see. We drove by the road twice before we noticed the sign. Also we could hear people above us walking on the hardwood floor in the morning. Hard to sleep through.

Review 11:I liked that it was just a little drive outside of Moncton. It only took us 3-5 minutes to get to downtown Moncton.

Review 12:We had an early flight and had to leave at 4a.m. we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful accommodations.

Review 13:Very clean. First floor which was perfect as hubby has Parkinsons and stairs can be difficult.

Review 14:Very much enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast included in the price. Bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was good as well.

Review 15:There could be more advertising along the Shediac Rd. and the descriotion of 17 Baseline threw our GPS off and we had a long roundabout way of getting there. I think that Shediac Rd.or Hwy 134 should be included in the directions.

Review 16:The location was close to where we were heading and not far from the city center for dinner. Nice clean rooms, comfy chairs might have been appreciated but the Victorian atmosphere was lovely and inviting.

Review 17:The location was further from the city than we expected, and being Thanksgiving we had to turn around and drive back to Moncton to find a restaurant. The room was old and dingy, with worn out antique furniture and some very poor amateur renovations, e.g. the bathroom door was off kilter, and the floor tiles didn't make it to the bathroom's doorway. The small and cheap bathroom vanity was approx 18" x 24", and the walls were not soundproofed, so we could hear the other occupants too well. Worst of all was the breakfast, which tasted so bad I actually couldn't eat it.

Review 18:There was a quick check-in and check-out. The hotel and setting are attractive from the outside.

Review 19:Our room was upstairs and we were so pleased the owner carried our suitcases up for us.

Review 20:We prefer this type of interior decorating...very pretty & as the name indicates, the rose theme.

Review 21:We got in late and there was nothing open except fast food in the area.

Review 22:The inn was elegantly decorated and very comfortable with a beautiful and cozy built-in fireplace in the room. Bed was comfortable. Staff members were very friendly. Nice breakfast.

Review 23:A perfectly lovely French-inspired getaway situated away from the city on spacious well tended grounds. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated with tasteful antiques, and everything is immaculately cared for. We were directed to a fine restaurant for dinner nearby. The Auberge Wild Rose is a gem. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Review 24:Our bed was not very comfortable. Room had nice windows but one broken and taped. Heater noisy. Other bedrooms seemed better. Be advised ...no elevator.

Review 25:Location ideal for our needs. Room very clean. Complimentary breakfast ample. Restaurant near by ...Bistro 33 fabulous. Grounds (wild rose bushes) beautiful. Owners friendly.

Review 26:Free warm breakfast but could not avail of it as it was not available before we had to leave in the morning.

Review 27:Real nice room. Excellent location for someone who loves golf!

Review 28:Far from restaurants/stores but on the plus side, the area was peaceful. A musty odor even when windows were left open.

Review 29:Our lovely host served up a delicious breakfast. Room was spacious and glad we could open windows.

Review 30:Everything was perfect. Clean and modern. Very helpful hosts. Convenient to highway to get where you want. Large rooms and lovely breakfast area. The golf course immediately across the road was a bonus!

Review 31:My husband and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary and had wonderful time at the Wild Rose Inn. The room was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and the owners were the best!

Review 32:Everything was more then expected - we would recommend Wild Rose to anyone visiting the Moncton area - noting short of amazing. Relaxing, peaceful, beautiful and the owners are very friendly. The hot breakfast was a bonus and was also quick and tasteful.

Review 33:I thiink there should be more than 1 waste basket in the room. The shower needs a little more pressure. I also had to ask for coffee and tea for the room, these are things that should be in place.

Review 34:Thought it was very cozy and homey. It is a would be a great place for a romantic weekend or if your playing golf. Also if you just want a comfortable and cozy get away.

Review 35:Shower was extremely small with very weak water flow. Breakfast was simple but seemed made up of microwaved food. Not up to normal B&B standards. For GPS users: town is "Lakeland" not "Moncton" Frustrating if you do not know this.

Review 36:In a rural area near a golf course. Meticulously kept inn. Easy on/off the main highway.

Review 37:The Inn was at least 10 minute drive to Moncton, I was expecting something closer.

Review 38:Great place to stay if your looking for a relaxing experience! The Inn looks upon a golf course and Is in s beautiful location.

Review 39:Dennis and his wife were great hosts. The Inn is situated just outside Moncton very close to the airport but with easy access to downtown. We would definitely stay again.

Review 40:All standard rooms are upstaiirs, had to pay extra for ground floor suite. Many hazards for a mobility impaired guest.

Review 41:Lovely room, very helpful staff. Very good breakfast and referral to an excellent dinner spot nearby.

Review 42:I think that the price of the room was high but the room was beautiful. The only issue i had was the mower running very early as there is a golf course across the street

Review 43:I loved the room it was great and the double jacuzzi tub was a nice addition.

Review 44:We were in the non smoking section but were disturbed every 15 minutes by slamming doors of people going outside to smoke. Not sound proof, sheer curtains on balcony door, very dated with a mishmash of furniture.

Review 45:Very friendly staff. Beautiful setting.

Review 46:Not a bad experience, but just advice. If you're staying here, you need a car. It's next to a golf course but nothing else. Moncton is a 5-10 min drive away (restaurants, etc.)

Review 47:The owners were very accomodating. I arrived a bit late and got great directions to local restaurants. The owners also assisted me with any questions I had about the area. Breakfast was delicious as well. Free Wi-Fi.

Review 48:Cleanliness of room; lack of essentials, like toilet paper and refill of an empty Kleenex box; scarcity of adequate towels, i.e. two bath towels. two face cloths and ONE hand towel for two people.

Review 49:Breakfast was very good.

Review 50:This place is amazing. The couple who run it are very helpful and gracious. The breakfast every morning was home cooked. The property is very relaxing and is actually very handy to all highways without being right next to one.back

Review 51:The owners of the inn were so friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely. We travel a lot in the summer and stay at a lot of places and this inn was one of the best. It is a place I will stay at again.

Review 52:The breakfast was adequate, but nothing exceptional.

Review 53:A nice out of the way place, very quiet, well manicured gardens across from a golf course. Hosts were attentive, room well appointed.

Review 54:We were visiting Moncton for the Women's World Cup and the location was out of town set in a pretty garden. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, so much so that we have already booked a return visit.

Review 55:The owners were the staff and so were intent on guest comfort and satisfaction. The setting was rural and quiet, yet it was within minutes of down town Moncton.

Review 56:There could have been some areas cleaned better: mirror in kitchen, french door of dining room, under furniture in room, picture frames. I'm a cleaner so I look for specific things when travelling. I would give the cleaning a 3.5 out of five.

Review 57:The uniqueness and size of the room. The view of the golf course. Being outside the city noise. Breakfast was perfect. Felt like a bed and breakfast...very welcoming.

Review 58:I reserved a room with a fireplace and seating area,to discover the room had been changed,as the owner put it as an upgrade because the room with the fireplace was supposedly smaller.I would have preferred to have had the room I was expecting.

Review 59:The wife of the owner was quite pleasant, she made up for the room mishap.

Review 60:The staff were very friendly . The room layout with outside access was very nice. We loved the breakfast . The location was good as well . I will definitely stay there again .

Review 61:The "hot tub" was simply a spa bath in washroom. But it was big enough and relaxing.

Review 62:Room was a very affordable suite with a fireplace. Lots of room and very romantic. Quite and had the feel of a country Inn

Review 63:We had a room by the entry door and people were going in and put and were very loud. Ask for an upstairs room or one away from the entrance door.

Review 64:Beautiful room with a fireplace and antique furniture. Beautiful whirlpool tub and comfy robes and only minutes outside Moncton. Sure beats a chain motel,

Review 65:Friendly owners with awesome service. Extremely clean, well maintained and superbly furnished. Breakfast served with a smile. What more can I say! Give yourself a treat and enjoy a stay at the Wild Rose Inn.

Review 66:I rated the comfort at 4 for two reasons: the foam pillows in bed were a bit too thick and dense for my liking; I found myself sliding out of the living area chairs, even though they were comfy.

Review 67:Quiet building and area. Relaxing. Spacious room(s). Reminded me of a comfy family room, with the chaise lounge being a nice touch.

Review 68:Nothing, except to say that our stay was much to short!

Review 69:Decor, service, comfort and friendliness! We will definitely return in the future and highly recommend this Inn.

Review 70:Coming from a world of standard business class hotels the Wild Rose Inn is a completely different experience. It is owner occupied with pride of ownership very visible. The rooms are individually done with standard jucuzzi and fireplaces. The continental breakfast is included and served by the hosts not buffet style. The property is well kept and has a homey feel without the feel of living in a home with a bunch of people. The rates are comparable and the value for the same exceeds. It is tastefully decorated and I would consider it an executive establishment. It is close to the main HWY but away from downtown. I would recommend.

Review 71:The staff were wonderful and accommodating, and this little gem is really a great deal. The bed was the most comfortable we'd stayed in on our road trip, wifi was perfect, and breakfast included eggs from the inn chickens! Highly recommend if you're traveling through the area.

Review 72:This inn has beautiful large rooms and is well located only a kilometer off the TransCanada highway. Very quiet at night. Friendly welcome, and they let us use their microwave to heat up the food that we had brought with us..

Review 73:hardwood floors, instead of carpet, were a delight! it was quiet, which I needed, and the breakfast was hot and fresh and healthy. am glad I found Wild Rose, and will surely be back next time I'm traveling through the area.

Review 74:Nothing

Review 75:We stayed one night at this lovely inn. We came quite late because of a late flight, but we warmly welcomed by the host. Our room was lovely and we had a great view of the golf course. Great internet service as well.

Review 76:Greeted at front door by inn keeper. Pleasant friendly staff. Helpful with luggage, locating dinner and directions. Great breakfast. Overall wonderful experience.

Review 77:nothing: the rooms are not like in pictures , not very clean and lots of bugs, i don't know who gave it a four star, its more like a two star in Mexico

Review 78:Our reservation was for 2 nights, When we checked in, they said is was for 1 night. Fortunately I had documentation showing for 2 nights. They still made us move to a different room for out second night. They came across like we somewhat inconvenienced them, when it was the other way around. Wi-Fi was poor. Breakfast could be a little better. limited selection of food.

Review 79:Decent place, pleasant staff, reasonably priced.

Review 80:there is a railway track at the end of their property but does not cause this place to have a lower then excellent standing.

Review 81:The couple who own the Inn were very hospitable and wholesome. Good choice for extending my wife's hospital evaluation another day. There is a golf course across the road .

Review 82:Room we had was overstuffed with furniture and adequate rather than attractive. General impression of place - a bit tired and not very welcoming, nor very near facilities eg restaurants

Review 83:Adequate stop-over accommodation, with unexpected golf course opposite. Breakfast included and good.

Review 84:Room wasn't set up well...had to move chairs and couch to face the fireplace. Breakfast was pretty bland. Several times went into the lobby and the breakfast room to ask for something, yet no one was ever around.

Review 85:Owner very helpful regarding where to eat in town. Comfortable bed, nice large room. Great price. Close to downtown, yet felt like we were in the country.

Review 86:Very narrow stairs to carry luggage up and down. Shower curtain rod hung very low. Had to duck to get in and out of the tub.

Review 87:Very friendly staff. Well organized and clean. Excellent breakfast. Quiet and comfortable room.

Review 88:I have just had knee replacement surgery and my husband is elderly. When the owner saw us struggling with our bags she insisted on carrying everything up to our room for us.

Review 89:Was "upgraded" to a king bed which was actually two twin beds put together with a cheap spring mattress on top. It was so uncomfortable. Lots of noise at 5am. We left at 7am and had no sleep. Absolutely ruined our anniversary celebration!!

Review 90:Balcony

Review 91:Staff not too well versed in the area's sightseeing. Couldn't walk to shopping or restaurants.

Review 92:Excellent accommodations with good access to roads in and out of the area avoiding city traffic. More than adequate parking in close proximity to our room. Well kept facilities with spacious rooms. Breakfast nicely prepared and served. Enjoyed having king sized bed. Staff accommodated a modestly late arrival — about 7:30 p.m.

Review 93:Exceptional place! Not a typical hotel. Like a country setting but very convenient to our sights. Breakfast was extensive too & home cooked style.

Review 94:The location was convenient...the rooms and the grounds were lovely, and the proprieters were friendly and helpful...they directed us to nearby Bistro 33 for one of the best meals we have had travelling.

Review 95:The fact that we stayed only the one night.

Review 96:For our 1st B&B experience, this was a class act. We continued on our travels throughout Gaspe & NB staying at various B&Bs along the way and this was by far the best. The room was immaculate with a separate sitting area, balcony and spa tub. The host was most gracious and breakfast was plentiful with bacon, scrambled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. A bit pricier than most but worth the money. Location near the airport was handy and quiet.

Review 97:Would like more prominent directing signage to find it in the dark. Also better signage as to how to get to the office/front entrance from the parking lot.

Review 98:Clean, comfortable, rustic. Staff directed me to an excellent place, Bistro33, for dinner.

Review 99:There was not much we did not like. In fact, we were return customers again this year on our way back home from holidays due to last year's experience there.

Review 100:Rooms were very good. Location (golf) was perfect. The breakfast was hot plus nutritional.

Review 101:The choice of places to eat nearby were limited and you had to drive to find a place to eat, which after having had an 8 hour drive wasn't really our preference. Our room was on the ground floor and overlooked the car park, which meant we had to keep the curtain closes or having people wandering past and looking straight in to the room. There was a window on the opposite side of the property that looked out on to a lovely courtyard, but when we arrived there were people sat out there, which again meant that we needed to keep the curtains closed. This made the room very dark and unwelcoming, which was a shame as it was well presented and could have been so nice if you had been able to take in the view.

Review 102:We needed a stop-off point and place to sleep in NB on our road trip to Eastern Canada. Moncton was ideal and this place worked a treat. It was a few minutes off the highway and meant that it didn't create a significant detour to our travel plans. It was not in central Moncton and therefore necessary to drive to a restaurant. Our hosts were friendly and accommodating.

Review 103:There was nothing we DID NOT like.

Review 104:Everything! The proprietors were very friendly people. Breakfasts were the best we have had anywhere and very healthy. The place was immaculate inside and out. Cannot say enough!

Review 105:One train the first night and three trains the second night used their whistles at the level crossing 500 m away.

Review 106:This Auberge has beautiful grounds, conscientious hosts, and lovely rooms. We booked one night but stayed for two. Breakfast was very good. Very good location for travellers on the highway, visitors to Moncton, touring of Fundy, Sackville, and Pugwash. A good stop on the way to PEI.

Review 107:Lack of sound proof walls on the second floor. Lack of wifi Accessible in the room. Should be a 4 Star, Seems like lacking stuff to be a 4.5 Star

Review 108:Nice Room Clean Nice Yard Free Breakfast. Great Owners.

Review 109:bedding was clean but leopard print did not suit the room. Some of the furniture was mismatched. It could be a great room if a little more care was taken with the décor.

Review 110:rooms are large, bathroom was a good size. bed was comfortable. tv was good. quiet atmosphere. Some of the furniture was lovely and suited the room. I loved the bone china cups for coffee.

Review 111:WiFi connection did not work could not retrieve address. The location is remote. Practically no commercr around and only restaurant relatively far

Review 112:Very clean. Very polite staff. Nice green environment.

Review 113:Everything. Breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day

Review 114:Very friendly and curtious people. Will definitely recommend to family and friends. Love the location. Nice and quiet. Our room was perfectly comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights. Love the wild roses along the walkway. Very inviting. Good luck with your future wndeavours

Review 115:It was farther from Moncton than I had thought. (perhaps it just seemed that way because of the route our GPS took us) Just two restaurants close by.

Review 116:The room was lovely and very comfortable, with an outside door opening to a balcony. The owners were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious!

Review 117:May be hard to find if you are not paying close attention to directions..

Review 118:The decor was very nicely done. The bed was very comfortable in a large suite. The grounds and deck areas were great and the breakfast was served and excellent. The quiet rural setting was to our liking and only 15 min to downtown Moncton.

Review 119:Some small things .. Electric fireplace didn't work, wifi was poor, water pressure was poor.

Review 120:It was clean, comfy and very b&b like. great for lounging and relaxing.

Review 121:We enjoyed the great service and value that we received for our dollar. We were even bumped up because it was our first wedding anniversary! Nice quiet grounds. beautiful scenery.

Review 122:Everything was above and beyond.

Review 123:Great little spot. Quite and quaint and great price!
