Reviews for Boulder Adventure Lodge

Review 1:The only bad thing was the lack of cell phone service and WiFi didn't work well. Not a big deal for us, but could be to others who need that kind of stuff.

Review 2:Great location, very peaceful and close to a lot of good trails for hiking.

Review 3:The rooms could be upgraded and cleaner, but as a lodge/motel, the place is very charming and is great value for money.

Review 4:Staying in the mountains behind Boulder (The best part of Boulder, really), the heat in the room was really great (it was 16 degrees *f / -8 *c outside one night), the staff was helpful and amicable, there was a bathtub.

Review 5:I did not like that the person staying next to me had a dog that barked all the time.

Review 6:I love the location of this place. It is close to everything I need yet has privacy.

Review 7:More hot water would have been nice as we stayed in a room with a bubble bath and only just just had enough hot water to make it work.

Review 8:The surroundings are beautiful. Close enough to the city for great food and far enough away for peace and quiet.

Review 9:first they cancelled my reservation, second they checked me out before I even got thee, third they cancelled my reservation - again.

Review 10:beds were comfortable, room was quiet

Review 11:The room needs to be upgraded as it is very old and various things either doesn't work is is noisy when is operates.

Review 12:The location is beautiful and close to Boulder which has everything you need from good restaurants to other necessities.

Review 13:So pretty! The rooms are nice and the grounds are very well kept. I think the place has a lot of potential to grow as well. I'd love to come back again!

Review 14:This is basically an old unremodeled motel with a great logo and even Tshirts for sale....which unfortunately cannot make up for paper thin walls, indifferent clerks, Cheerios for the 'breakfast included', and the funky, grim hot tub.

Review 15:Shower pressure, and natural setting.

Review 16:It was a cabin and perfect for campers. Amenities were a tad bit rough

Review 17:Super cool location. Beautiful old cabin resorts. The drive through the mountains was breathtaking every time.

Review 18:I found the scent of the room to be very powerful and unpleasant. I believe it was the cleaner used but otherwise good. Things that the hotel cannot control: poor cell service and no food delivery.

Review 19:I really liked The atmosphere of the grounds and the kitchenette in the room. The welcome mat in front of the door and personal picnic table were very charming. Nice stay in the woods with close access to walking trails and great views.

Review 20:Miles from Boulder, poor very tired decoration, furnishings and bathroom. Rubbish breakfast ... Cheap yoghurt, cereal, flask coffee!

Review 21:Not a lot really just a place to stay! Would be fine for teenagers if it were cheap.

Review 22:Irregular internet and no i-phone connections, hard these days, but the lodge compensates with free use of land phone. Older bathroom fine and clean but small.

Review 23:Terrific natural setting, fresh air, creek and frogs, convenient by car to Boulder, simple but comfortable, old-fashioned camp feeling, everything accessible from site--great to be right on the creek and in the canyon, but wouldn't want to be there in flash flood season!

Review 24:Would have been nice if they vacuumed under the bed. Could see the dust bunnies..

Review 25:The location was terrific and the grounds are very charming. Convenient to the city.

Review 26:The photos for the room appears larger, but the spa suite was much smaller than anticipated. The internet signal was weak at times making it hard to get emails and make wifi calls.

Review 27:The location was great for our purposes, it was near DT Boulder so I could attend my meetings, but far enough to enjoy the silence of the mountains at night. It was only a few miles from great restaurants in DT Boulder and shopping. You must have dinner in DT Boulder, lots of craft and specialty beers if that is your kind of thing.

Review 28:Didn't give us the room we reserved (regular queen vs Delux Queen) we were told "oh well it's the same price". Also the glasses had lip marks on them, and the mattress felt like it was made of bricks accompanied by paper thin pillows.

Review 29:Great location, friendly staff, nice amenities. They had a pool, jacuzzi, and cut and stacked wood incase you wanted a fire. They were eager to suggest hiking trails, things in town, etc.

Review 30:was old and run down, outdated, pictures on line made it look much nicer, they were deceiving , only had 5 tv channels , mold in the shower. people next to us were loud, you could hear every word they said and you could see into the room next to you cause there was a door with a big gap in it .no privacy .

Review 31:location

Review 32:They need to update the binders in the rooms with info on hikes in the area - not current.

Review 33:Amazing location! Peaceful, restful, tucked away in the trees. Complete with a babbling brook right there.

Review 34:Rooms could at least use some small AC units for the daytime temps. Fan didn't work but was provided another small one. T.P. holder needs maintenance. No toiletries were in the room. Bathroom faucet didn't come out far enough(right against sink surface).

Review 35:Location was just a couple miles out of town with very nice grounds and a stream.

Review 36:Great little hideaway. Perfect after a day on your feet to return here and sit by the creek or for a glass of wine around the fire pit! It is a little basic but perfect for what we needed and expected.

Review 37:I'm not complaining because they tell you they have a very light breakfast and it is what it is. Nothin much I could say I didn't like.

Review 38:You've got to try the Slack Lines! Really nice and relaxing place with a great location!

Review 39:Based on my score you would think I did not like this place, not true. This place has a really cool vibe but do not expect a corporate standardized room. No remote for the TV, Had to call for a microwave. Still I loved it!

Review 40:they apparently are changing their name. their sign does not reflect this.owners not very welcoming. all the furniture is old and mismatched. the outdoor by the river seating is broken, trash was left from beer cans, not nice, certainly not worth the price. the place could be fanstastic with some attention and care.

Review 41:the location is wonderful. just off the canyon road and a burbling river.

Review 42:They charged us twice. My bank reversed the second charge, but they couldn't figure it out. If my bank didn't reverse it $200 would have been withheld until they figured it out. Also strange liquid soap dispensers kinda cheapened the atmosphere. A fresh packaged soap bar is much classier.

Review 43:The location and quaint mountain cabin feel!

Review 44:You will NOT have cell phone service and the air conditioning was a little on the weak side, but it was worth it. There isn't much cell service in this area in general. So it's not particular to this place.

Review 45:This place was awesome! Perfect for a get away. It was tucked away with lots of access to trails. Owners are incredibly nice. The place was clean & the kitchen was a nice bonus.

Review 46:Absolutely loved having a campfire right next to a nice little stream using good firewood supplied by the hotel. Also loved the breeze coming in through the windows all evening. Pool and hot tub were clean, as was the room. Good value, if looking for something different than the big chains. Was close to bike/walking trail that goes through a canyon next to a river.

Review 47:Rustic, secluded and quiet. Tucked into the hills above Boulder, but still having easy access. Very friendly and laid back staff. Rooms are spacious and well-kept, with a deep veranda and benches to view the natural surroundings...complete with alpine stream flowing through the property. If you are looking for a hip, out of the way base to explore from, this is the place. NO AC, but was comfortable in July.

Review 48:The room numbers are hard to see with the dim lighting. We found spiders, moths, flies and other insects in our room. Which I guess is normal for a rustic mountain lodge but I'm not use to paying $150 for a room with bugs.

Review 49:The rustic setting, the stream babbling outside your front door, the pines rustling with the wind, the cool summer breeze, the isolation yet not too far from town.

Review 50:The hot tub water must be changed.

Review 51:Big skylight directly over bed. Which had no ability to be covers . Sunsets very late and rises very early in the mountains: can't sleepwith all that light in your eyes.

Review 52:We only had one complaint, but it was enough to check out a day early......the bedding was still damp and smelled like bleach. The smell was so overwhelming we couldn't sleep.

Review 53:Loved the location and true beauty of the lodge! People were super friendly and helpful!

Review 54:Beautiful location, great staff (thanks Lindsay), super comfy bed.

Review 55:Fair spot, pretty good all 'round!

Review 56:Loved the nostalgic feel with the updated exterior. Felt like the mountains only two miles into the foothills. Proximity to points of interest .

Review 57:Great location and friendly staff. Quick access to all of Boulder and near by Neaderland and still only 35 minutes from downtown Denver.

Review 58:All the staff were very friendly and very helpful. One guy even gave my friend and I ride into town! Definitely coming back again!

Review 59:A gem in the boulder area close to everything and just out side of the city

Review 60:nice people ... convenient location ... comfortable room

Review 61:Mouse are bannannas in kitchen.

Review 62:location was great and it was a pleasant change from a hotel

Review 63:The bathroom floor had at least 6 or so long dark hairs on the floor. :(

Review 64:Being off the beaten path

Review 65:Sky light in the roof !!

Review 66:Peaceful, quiet

Review 67:Bed a little tired. Rooms feel dated.

Review 68:Good location for hiking. Great mountain vibe with creek running through property.

Review 69:LOVED the outdoor fireplace, the lights in the trees, and the creek running through the resort

Review 70:Too far from city

Review 71:It was quaint and comfy

Review 72:Bed was hard as a rock and so my husband didnt sleep very well as he has back issues.

Review 73:Beautiful setting and good price

Review 74:amenities are weak

Review 75:grounds

Review 76:Beautiful setting! Also very quiet and cozy.

Review 77:needs a little updating, but i liked the vintage charm.

Review 78:very cute rooms, awesome property, nice staff, great amenities.

Review 79:......

Review 80:needs update, especially beds!

Review 81:Furnishings and appliances were dated. Water was affected if others in complex were also using the water.

Review 82:Nice having the kitchen.

Review 83:Very comfortable,a little woodsy, and convenient location. Would definitely recommend and return.

Review 84:The location, the quietness, the kitchen.

Review 85:Blah breakfast. Perhaps add fresh fruit in season

Review 86:Location on creek

Review 87:Serenity and drive up and down canyon

Review 88:Quiet and secluded and away from the busy City.

Review 89:Small choice in breakfast.

Review 90:Quite, life outside, possibility to cook, tables outside, barbecue...

Review 91:limited/no hot brkfst options

Review 92:Rooms were just ok.

Review 93:Great location and grounds!

Review 94:was told there was no ice and had to run to town to get ice
