Review 2：How close it was to the beach and price
Review 3：1). Power went out for extended period (I understand it was not just the hotel it was the area). Timing was just bad. 2). At times the elevator did not work (not just when power was out). 3). Elevator seemed unsafe. Has it been certified recently? Worrisome. 4). Room we stayed in had many carpet stains. It really needs to be updated. For the high price I paid to stay (1 night), it was not worth the value. 5). A minimum number of towels were provided in the room. Could of used more. 6). Bottom line is the rooms look "Old" and need to be updated. New carpet, new fixtures updated bathroom....etc.

Review 15：The hotel on the inside and out was very run down. I felt dirty the entire stay. Shower had mildew and the tub faucet was not attached to the wall. Honestly didn't want my son (or myself) to walk around in the room barefoot, or touch anything for that matter. And the tv hardly worked. Honestly the amount of money I paid for 2 night's was very disturbing for what I got!

Review 17：The whole experience I did not like. They were people fighting in the hallways and in the lobby. The staff members just stood around and laughed. I complained about the door not working and they did nothing. I complained about the cleanliness of the rooms and the dirty underwear that was left in there and they did nothing. The websitefor the hotel was very misleading it had pictures from a different hotel on it.

Room 218 the door kept popping open would not walk in the staff did nothing about it the bathtub was dirty the toilet kept backing up in the floor feel gritty. Room 219 had some buddies dirty underwear still left in the room and there was a big hole in the wall to room 220.

Review 26：It was an older building than I excepted. The bathroom was too small and needed to be updated. The shower curtain rings were actually broken. Not enough towels. The air conditioning system really needs to be updated. It made too much noise all night long. The TV channels provided were only watchable to someone who enjoys reality TV. The guide said they had HBO, but it never came in. The free breakfact was really a joke. Only bagels and cream cheese and juice, really?! I know they say you get what you pay for, but I expected a little more from a hotel located that close to the beach.

Staff was not very friendly as you saw them in the halls. Not all in uniform. Hard to tell who worked there. Complimentary breakfast was very limited. There were bagels, muffins, cereal, coffee, juice, and some fruit.

I was a little concernedreading the other reviews but I went ahead and booked b/c all of thehotels I looked at had both good reviews and lousy reviews. I'm soglad we booked with Neptune Park Inn. From the moment we were checked inby the manager, Pam I knew we were going to have a good stay. In fiveminutes I felt like I'd known her forever, she was so friendly, downto earth and helpful and she went above and beyond. It was very muchappreciated. Our rooms were very clean, they even smelled clean when wewalked in. I love the smell of clean. When my daughter checked in therewas a problem with the power to the tv, microwave/fridge but theyimmediately switched her to another room (a bigger room at that-she wasthrilled). The staff was friendly, housekeeping came each day, thecarpet was clean, the bathroom was cleaned each day, the sheets seemedlike new, a/c and fridge were cold, the room was a good size, theyhad a storage tub full of clean towels for the pool. The roof top poolwas great, the water was very clear. They posted the ph and chlorinelevels each day and the view was amazing. They had a great freebreakfast, different cereals, lots of pastries, a juice machine, milk,fruit. Each time we were there they were constantly re-stocking it. Andthe hotel was under a hundred bucks a night and it's on the best endof Atlantic. Every room has a wonderful view of the ocean! The tvchannel availability and reception wasn't great but who comes to thebeach to watch tv?!! I couldn't have been any happier with our stay,it really made our time at the beach enjoyable!
Review 42：I was a little shocked when we checked out to notice that our total was different then I thought it was going to be but if I would have read the smaller fine print then I would have known that do not included fees and taxes. so that was my fault not theirs.
Review 43：When we arrived our air-conditioned didn't seem to work properly after we were there about a hour. We called the front desk and they replaced it within 1 hour. The pool was on top of the roof plenty of room to lay out in the sun and enjoy all the activities going on, on the main strip. The location was great & the staff people were excellent.

The power went out for a few hours. The pool had black stuff growing around it and my room smelled like skunk. I will NEVER go back there. So very disappointed.

There were stains on the sheets, trash behind the beds and night stands, baseboard basically falling off the wall, even a roach in the bathroom. The elevator sounds like it's going to break any second. This hotel is incredibly overpriced and could use a much needed renovation.
Review 57：The staff was very helpful. My best friend and I stayed at Neptune Park for the VA Beach Half Marathon, and the staff was very happy to open the breakfast bar up to us earlier than it was scheduled. The location of Neptune Park is really the only other thing it has going for it.
Review 58：The service, when we arrived to our room it was hot and water in ourbathroom floor, service guy said the ac unit is to old and cant fix andthat the water must have been left from previous customers??. So I guessI room was not cleaned??? Then I was told that everything was fixed butthe water still kept appearing and the ac unit got hotter and started tomake loud noises. After talking to the manager she did not seamconcerned about state of our room and said I could give reimburse you$75.00 out of a room that was $300.00 a night!!!! This was the worstplace ever I do not recommend this place stay away!!!!!!!!

Review 63：Paid a more per night for breakfast to be included but coffee dispenser was not even putting out coffee. Vending machine for sodas out of order, too and flooding hallway. The building itself in really bad shape, maintenance wise, unsafe stair railing on rooftop to decking from pool, and your front door entrance very dark and very unwelcoming :( On the bright side, your staff was very nice :)

No cups and it looked like the room above us had previously flooded.

Review 86：Due to the age of the property, there were several age related issueswith the place. The bathrooms were designed extremely small and cramped.The a/c units from upper floors dripped down from above causing theuse of the balcony to be limited. Pealing paint that was patched wasonly a cosmetic thing... But, not all of the outlets working made itdifficult to charge the family's electronic devices. A change inplans caused our stay to only have "3" occupants instead ofthe booked "4", the management was not willing to reduce theroom charge to the booking.com 3-person rate or make any reductions ofthe room rate due to the reduced number of occupants. I guess next time,I should only book for "1" or "2" guests.

Pool on the roof was cool andhad a great view. The staff was quick to bring additional towels to theroom when requested since every day in a room that was scheduled for"4" occupants was only left "2" towels.

The breakfast included old stale pastries and little boxes of cereal. The juice machine was even broke. The ocean view was across 2 parking lots, a street and half of the viea was cut off by another hotel. It was just a terrible place to stay and ruined our vacation!

Seriously if your going tocall a guest a liar don't say you personally did the cleaning ...Blame it on another staff member at least!!!!!! In the end we did getour 4 towels and our room cleaned. But no apology!!!! That wholesituation was uncalled for.

I showed her the confirmation and that i was being charged 10 extra for it they had a oh well attitude .we were on the 4th floor the elevator broke the next day so we had to take the steps for 3 days . The air conditioner did not work well and leaked water all over the balcony making it nasty and you did not want to walk out there. The room was cleaned the first night but once the elevator broke down it was not cleaned we were given clean towels and they emptied the trash that was it no making of the beds or vacuuming. The breakfast was blah a few days there was no butter or cream cheese or fruit . The TV channels were fuzzy . It had a microwave but the plug in wouldn't reach the outlet. The bed only had a sheet and top cover that no one wanted touching them. no blankets. I asked for extra pillows never got them. many things needed repaired or maintained the walls and celling had cracks and pieces missing the pool had tile missing the steps had non-slip missing paint was chipping wallpaper torn.

Review 115：We wanted a place to crash after being at the beach. We wanted a pool ( the rooftop pool was awesome). We needed a budget price. This place was perfect for our needs. The aesthetics were bad and there were few extras but we were close to the beach, the beds were relatively comfortable and the room wasn't dirty. Breakfast wasn't nutricious, but the kids we're fine with the cereal and "pastry". We brought most of our own food and kept it in a cooler. We were pleased and would return.

Review 121：I didn't have a bad experience with the staff, but the facility is not clean and they could defenetely use makeover or at least a deep cleaning. Also the bathroom was not clean and the balcony was very dirty I could not in the balcony without shoes. The phone and hair dryer were not working in one of two rooms I got. The elevator was not working the time I was there, though when I checked in I was told someone was coming in to fix it. I don't think it ever worked. Quite frankly I will not be staying here anymore. They could do so much more to this business. It's in a great location, but it lacks proper management and instruction. I don't think that investing in a deep cleaning or even a paint job will be too expensive. The pictures here look great, but it is really not that great looking.

The air conditioning was not working and it was hot and there was a puddle on the carpet that just kept leaking so we called and went down to the front desk 4 times and no one ever came to fix it in our 3 day stay after they said they would. The elevator was broken for 2 straight days and had to carry all our luggage with kids and elderly grandparents up 8 flights of stairs to the 4th floor. Door would either not open or not lock and there were gross stains on the sheets.

The elevator was so scary that we used the stairs all week (even though we were on the 3rd floor). The toilet broke, the hair dryer didn't work, some outlets didn't work if two things were plugged in at the same time, and the shower had mold in some areas. There were cigarette burns on the comforter of one bed and there were water stains on the walls. The free WiFi rarely if ever worked. I feel like I was robbed because of the amount of money I spent on a this shabby hotel. I will never stay here again!

Review 131：The staff were wonderful. After I read the reviews I was worried that I booked into a bad hotel but I was pleasantly surprised and will go back again . We have stayed at many hotels in VA Beach and was very happy with our accommodations .
Review 132：what a joke!! staff was not responsible/ room was horrible / television was broken/ shower was dirty/ live outlets were exposed on walls!! just horrible all around! this is a 50$ a night hotel if that!!!

Review 135：The rooms were filthy dirty. Dust on everything. The dresser drawerswere so dirty we couldn't use either of them. The refrigerator s inboth rooms had missing broken pieces. Also, the microwave in our roomlooked like it had caught fire at some point. It was black inside.Didn't use it. The WiFi wouldn't connect to 2 different laptopsor my knook. Bathrooms were so dirty in both rooms. There isn'tenough outlets in the rooms. One lamp that was there wasn't pluggedin and no outlet was even close to it. Dirty, dirty, dirty. One of thestairwells had a hole so big that when it was raining water poured outlike a waterfall and down all the flights. Slip hazard!!! The ice makerwas disgusting. And breakfast was minimal. Ladies at front desk wererude and seemed annoyed by everyone.

Review 137：Unusable phone-no dial tone. Dirty Micro both in & out. Commode area deteriorated & unpleasant in appearance. Carpeting, dirty. Fridge had leftover food inside & freezer was frosted-over. Rating this room one star is being very generous.

Review 139：I booked in advance through booking.com and even called to the hotel to confirm our "Deluxe" room with a fridge and microwave on an upper level with a view. Upon our arrival we were placed in a "basic" room on the first floor that was not clean and there were no chairs and no view. So, I marched to the front desk with my Booking.com printed confirmation, and we were moved to a better room on the 5th floor early the next morning thanks to the friendly girl at the front desk. But we never did get our requested microwave at any time during our stay even though told us they would find us one and to check back. *We planned on using the microwave to prepare quick meals and snacks for the kids as we were staying an entire week. The Wifi connection was tricky. We had to have our room keys re-magnetized 2x. There is only one elevator for the entire hotel, and the vent fan was broken. One of the railings near the roof-top pool was not secured and someone could have gotten seriously hurt if not paying attention. There are many things on the property need fixed, cleaned, or replaced.
Review 140：The Location of the Neptune Park Inn is perfect if you want to save a grand or so on a weeks stay compared to the hotels right across the street. We had a view of the beach, the Neptune Park Stage and Statue, and all the nightly action and music from the boardwalk from our 5th floor room. The Staff was friendly and responsive to our inquiries, requests, and ... unfortunately... complaints as well. The roof-top pool was a great alternative to hanging at the beach. There was also a continental breakfast that was not mentioned in the Booking.com description that we were able to take advantage of.
