Reviews for Mounts Bay Waters Apartment Hotel

Review 1:DVD player was inoperative (this was sorted quickly and efficiently however once brought to the attention of staff) Tv was quite small, a larger unit would enhance the appearance and style of the apartment greatly. Bed was a little hard, not too bad for a couple nights but couldn't sustain for longer periods of time. Curtains to the balcony let in too much light on each side, little bit too short width wise to fully cut out the light from entering the bedroom on both sides. The included buffet breakfast was lacking in variety, hardly anything to choose from really...was quite disappointed Sorry to sound like a whinge haha, just being honest! :D

Review 2:Very clean and tidy apartment with near on everything you need already available, quite a nice view of then city view from the balcony, Friendly and polite staff. Would definitely recommend to friends and family

Review 3:Wifi was very hit and miss . Breakfast was okay, but you have to keep asking them to repelish the milk and food.

Review 4:Domestic staff do a very good job the rooms are immaculate.

Review 5:The breakfast was good but the service and upkeep of food could have been far better managed especially at the weekend

Review 6:The appartment was a good size for 3 adults serviced everyday and good air conditioning as it was very hot weather

Review 7:There is nowhere to park whilst you are checking in, we called the hotel to find out where we could park and we were told to park at the roundabout, block the road, hold up traffic and move our car after checking in. The receptionist that checked us in was very rude to us. We complained about how rude she was and she offered no apology. The kitchen cupboards were water damaged and the sliding door into the bedroom was hanging off the runners. The sliding door to the balcony was unsecure and didn't lock properly.

Review 8:Checking out

Review 9:No easy access with bulky luggage in and out of the hotel, esp when from overseas. Had to use steps when arrived. Had to use basement to roll luggage, got lost there, the gates were closed, luckily helpful staff wearing fluo jacket helped with gate and finding way to the roundabout for taxi. Not a nice way to leave a terrific hotel.

Review 10:Practical and organised arrangements. Good bed for sleep, nice lobby. Breakfast great and more varied than woolloomoolloo water apartment in sydney.

Review 11:Room being situated away from the main building and perhaps not being where we thought we had booked - we were placed in the Waldorf rather than the Mount Bay apartments. Reception being closed quite early at the Waldorf.

Review 12:Good quality apartment will all amenities. Good location. Pleasant and helpful staff. Restaurant in the main building offering excellent breakfast options.

Review 13:There was a cockroach in the room. Internet limited GB and only for two devices. Breakfast wasn't good on public holidays. It says free internet and breakfast included. But ended up paying for the internet.

Review 14:The location. Two decent size bedrooms.

Review 15:Check in was very poor, under staffed, had to wait 20 minutes. Room layout was not as expected, hotel said that they did not receive these details from booking.com. New Year's Eve party going on until 3am despite a no party policy Room service was unavailable, that was not explained at check in

Review 16:Clean rooms, quiet location

Review 17:Rooms were like a hot sauna and if window was opened air conditioning vent spewed hot air in. Requested a non smoking room, resident below us smoked on their balcony. Staff requested photo ID on check in and were rude when I was unable to produce any.

Review 18:Access to city by way of free bus, was great. Kings park and all its facilities are a mere 242 steps up Jacobs ladder or take the flatter Kokoda trail. Bikes and Tennis are available at reception.

Review 19:Pool next to FWY. No restaurants in walking distance. Kitchenequipment has seen it‘s days. Asian cooking smell in our room, coming from the hallway early in the morning. Too many Japs and chinese in the whole apartment block. Terrible few to the backyard.

Review 20:Free bus to city. Reception good organized without love and care.

Review 21:Property is v dated and maintenance should be stepped up. Bathroom needs a decent clean, air conditioner v noisy, room safe had to be broken into as the motor was not working.

Review 22:Location. Staff generally friendly.

Review 23:I specifically booked a hotel with breakfast included. We were handed a plastic bag with single serve uht milk, cornflakes, juice, and fruit per person and told the restaurant wasn't opened the next morning due to a public holiday. I would like to have been aware of this prior. I would have booked elsewhere.

Review 24:It was very close to the city. Nice and quiet in the room even when the people next door were noisy. (We could hear them when we went to the lift) the staff put on the airconditioning before we had arrived. It was a very warm day

Review 25:We weren't informed that the restaurant wasn't open on Christmas morning for breakfast and were just given 'breakfast boxes' on arrival. Very disappointing as we'd planned a family breakfast together on Christmas morning. They were not helpful with our request for a late checkout lodged days before and charged us for an extra hour!

Review 26:Good location

Review 27:There is no air conditioner in both the bedrooms, only 1 old air conditioner in the living room. Limited wifi. A bit far to walk to the city in the hot summer.

Review 28:Apartment was clean, quiet and comfortable. Location was great, able to go to town or exit on to the freeway easily. We were also able to walk to nearby parks.

Review 29:Just that we paid 28 dollars for an hours wi fi use because we used up all the allowance for three days in one session of skyping family and sending photos

Review 30:Everything spot on but would have preferred unlimited wi fi

Review 31:Staff weren't very happy in reception or restaurant they also never gave us the pool code that's the second time we have stayed there and they didn't

Review 32:The balcony door could be easily opened by a four year old. There were ladder type railing that would be able to be easily climbed by a young child. Also children could easily exit the apartment as there is no internal lock.

Review 33:Bed size and apartment size.

Review 34:Bedrooms did not have air conditioning, only in living room, despite listing air condotioning as amenity on ad which felt misleading. Nowhere on hotel ad that indicate this. It would have been a deal breaker for had i known this prior to booking. Perth summer can be very very hot and one air conditioner in the living room won't suffice for a two bedroom unit. Luckily my stay was enjoyable despite the missing coolong system. We had to sleep with all the bedrooms doors open to try to get cool air in.

Review 35:Staff were lovely and attentive Great value for money Good location

Review 36:No face washers provided. Because most place provide these we forget to bring some.

Review 37:You remembered from last time that we requested a teapot, thank you.

Review 38:The room had a very musty/mouldy smell which was quite unpleasant. We had to open the windows in our bedrooms.

Review 39:The apartments were spacious and there was free WiFi (which isn't standard in Australia). The staff at check-in remedied the bed configuration instantly. We had requested a two bedroom apartment with two QS beds on booking but had been issued a two bedroom with singles in one of the rooms. Fixed immediately.

Review 40:How can booked guests have their car clamped when parked in the designated overnight space ? VERY annoying.!

Review 41:A good kitchen; 2 bathrooms with 2 bedrooms is good for friends travelling together

Review 42:bed room needed its own air con. lack of check in parking, road sign-age needed

Review 43:nice views, good lay out of room everything that is needed was there, helpful staff, security

Review 44:Only one car park per apartment, which make it difficult for groups coming in more than one car to find parking. $300 taken off credit card overnight for bond is a bit steep!

Review 45:Nice location, Clean, comfortable beds and linen.

Review 46:My husband and I did not like the service in the restaurant when we went for Breakfast, we were seated right next to the walkway where the continental buffet was and had so many people standing right on top of us, there were plenty of empty tables and we asked if we could move, the young girl then said if we would like to go and wait on the couches until she could find us another table. I advised there were plenty of empty tables and they did not have reserved signs on, I said no forget it we will eat elsewhere, she then said well don't you want another table and we said yes but we don't want to wait over on the couches, she seemed a little confused, I said you told us we had to wait on the couch for a free table and clearly there are heaps of tables. We dined elsewhere for breakfast.

Review 47:room was clean, bed was comfy and a great location.

Review 48:The lack of parking on arrival to leave your vehicle to go to reception to check in was terrible

Review 49:Once checked in (which is a nightmare with lack of parking to attend reception) everything was fine

Review 50:It was over priced, the shower screen was half broken, the cupboards in bathroom were chipped, the bed was squeaky as soon as you sat down! I was just disappointed with what we got as to how much it cost!

Review 51:The location

Review 52:I usually don't complain. I'm quite easygoing but had the worst shower of my life. There were about 4 poor jets of water coming out the shower head. Also, it's very confusing when you go to check in re: where you should be parking.

Review 53:We booked because of the self contained nature and was good to have laundry facilities. Free parking (although tight) was good especially as you can come and go as you please and it's secure

Review 54:Very modest gym facilities Limited healthy breakfast options Tight parking Widely distributed rooms between blocks Free wifi logon difficulties with limited free data allowance

Review 55:Great location Spacious suites Self parking included

Review 56:Our apartment was close to the highway so it was noisy, however shut the window and all was good!

Review 57:Location is excellent - short walk to city, although it was very hot the day we were there. Washing machine and dryer which was what we needed after a cruise. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Living room was very large. All air conditioned which was most welcome.

Review 58:Given an apartment right near the freeway. The noise disrupted my sleep the whole night - have stayed here before but did not experience this problem. At nearly $400 for the night it definitely was not good value for money. My last stay here in a much quieter room was nearly half that cost.

Review 59:Great location close to places I needed to go. Very spacious and comfortable apartment with pleasant decor. Great view but .... was it worth the noise of the freeway.

Review 60:had 2 rooms booked at beginning of october but had to ask to be moved as they were a long way from each other.parking to book in is very bad.

Review 61:good location

Review 62:The wifi was horrible. Half the time we couldn't get connected and the other half of the time it would state that we have used up the limit when we actually couldn't even connect to it, to start with.

Review 63:The staff were very helpful and accommodating. There is free parking and the carpark is indoors. Location isn't too far from the heart of the CBD area.

Review 64:A room with strong smell of painting was give to us. After talking with reception, room was changed. But why the room busted painted overnight ago could be rented out? More was that cooking smell could be smelt in my room in the evening and morning. It was not well vantilated enough.

Review 65:Good free parking

Review 66:Aircon, while very much appreciated, was a little noisy in bedroom.

Review 67:Very convenient for access to city and nedlands, quiet, easy access to car, free parking, staff very friendly and very much appreciated hotel fulfilling a twin bed request. Great access to public transport for city links.

Review 68:No bad experiences but the constant traffic noise took a bit of getting used to

Review 69:The location was good with easy acces to the city. The apartment had great facilities and the swimming pool was a bonus

Review 70:Had requested adjoining rooms and when we arrived to find they were not even on the same floor we were disappointed. Specially since we booked months in advance. When asked if we could at least be put on the same floor they said no.

Review 71:Lovation and size of room was fantastic.

Review 72:Toilet seat was a little old and worn but not a big enough deal to ruin the stay ;-)

Review 73:Great layout of unit. Spacious bathroom. Great to have secure onsite parking at no additional cost. Was a nice walk to Perth Arena and not too far.

Review 74:Not enough natural light in the apartment. The bed was uncomfortable but this would not stop me from staying there again.

Review 75:Very family friendly, great food and lovely staff. Great gym facilities.

Review 76:only downside - the check- in area needed a recessed parking bay as stopping on the small roundabout by reception meant anyone trying to exit the car park couldn't pass - and people got rather frustrated.

Review 77:Central location with good facilities, excellent staff and parking on sight.

Review 78:It's a great place for family vacation. The staffs are friendly. Place is clean. It's conveniently to visit any places like Fremantle, Swan Valley, CBD, Beaches etc.

Review 79:The breakfast service wasn't great, we waited nearly an hour for our breakfast and one in our group got one of her side orders ages after her main breakfast. Seemed very unorganised.

Review 80:The room was lovely and spacious, loved that we could open all the windows, we even had a little garden coming from our bedroom. We were also upgraded to a two bathroom instead of one so that was great!

Review 81:Looking a bit tired , needs painting eg peeling paint on architraves

Review 82:Friendly cooperative staff, booked tour to Rottnest, contacted us immediately when there was a scheduling problem. Excellent cleaning staff

Review 83:I think the apartment is beginning to show its age and it is probably time for an update.

Review 84:The apartment was great (but not luxurious) and it was fantastic to have a kitchen for preparing breakfasts. The restaurant was very good for dinners. Great food and wine and reasonably priced..

Review 85:Noise from hallway could be heard within the room. Extreme cooking odors when other guests cooked. Bed and pillows uncomfortable.

Review 86:Apartment was clean and tidy,

Review 87:Bathroom may have started to date a little. Tiles a bit tired and shower door a bit rocky.

Review 88:Good central location for city exploration, close to major attractions. Very spacious apartment with huge kitchen.

Review 89:We stayed at two separate apartments Waldorf and Acacia. The two bedroom Acacia was very comfortable and had a large space. The one bedroom Waldorf was slightly small comparatively but sufficient for a short stay. There is a free bus service just in front of the apartment and there are two beautiful parks nearby, the John Oldham across the road and the huge Kings Park just at the back and takes about 10 minutes to get there. Overall a great place to stay.

Review 90:Most restaurants close early in Perth compared to other places, so eat earlier, if you get caught out head to Grilled on Muarry street who saved us a few times as they don't shut their kitchen until 9:30pm!

Review 91:Convenient location, about a 10min walk to the centre, good facilities, helpful staff

Review 92:We loved the convenience of the location. We were able to walk to a concert at The Perth Arena. Walk to King's Park up Jacob"s Ladder and back down the Kokoda Heritage Trail. We also took advantage of the free public bus service into the City. The location was surprisingly quiet. The bed was a good size and very comfortable

Review 93:I booked a weekend package which should have included breakfast for two each morning. Once getting to the hotel I was told it was not included. The price was exactly the same for weekend package but had no joy in getting any help. This has put me off staying there again as the same thing happened last time we were there. But last time the hotel management supplied us with meal tickets for breakfast. An apartment overlooking the river in Fremantle where we usually stay was only the cost of breakfast for 2 at this hotel extra.

Review 94:We liked the room and the general presentation of the hotel. The position of the hotel is very good.

Review 95:No bad experience but did feel that the price of apartment expensive to what we have previously found at other outlets.

Review 96:Staff very helpful and polite and location very good for our needs.

Review 97:Did not think front door knob handle with simple lock button was secure enough for a motel room. Needs a deadlock as well for security.

Review 98:Lovely and quiet. Very nice staff. Just near Woolies and the town. Very comfy and homely.

Review 99:Lack of staff. I called reception 3 times with no answer. Noisy guests between 4:00 am and 7 am. The no party rule did not apply to them.

Review 100:Breakfast. Easy access to city yet far enough to retreat.

Review 101:Having to climb up stairs with a suitcase at the entrance to reception and no other way to reception. Not well designed. Definitely needs a ramp!!!!

Review 102:The proximity to the conference centre, excellence. comfortable and homely, plenty of space and great kitchen facilities as well as the laundry.

Review 103:Not a bad experience, but we would have preferred a room with a view. I can understand with all the construction going on in Perth the vistas must be changing constantly. Entrance to car park somewhat confusing.

Review 104:On arrival a room opposite was being painted and I could not cope with the smell. Rosie did not hesitate to move us to another room immediately. The situation is reasonably good, walking distance to the city.

Review 105:Bed were ok but no blankets to put on top. Which I'm sure they would accommodate if asked/ordered :)

Review 106:The apartment was outstanding. Clean and also a beautiful view of city lights. Even though under a bridge could not hear any noise at all. Personnel where very welcoming and prompt. Plenty of room to park large/tall vehicles.

Review 107:The bathroom stunk of mildew, we had to keep the door shut to stop it wafting into the bedroom. The room temperature was freezing. The blanket supplied was thin and there was no spare available in the room, and The pillows were very flat and uncomfortable.

Review 108:The room appeared nice, beautiful view of the balcony. We were given a complimentary bottle of champagne but the seal on the bottle was dodgy and it was leaking.

Review 109:It needs to be clearly explained either on the web site or booking.com it's only 1x car park pet hotel room and then it's $15 each day for any extra cars. I didn't agree with this having booked a 3 bedroom apartment. There is also no free visitor parking, only CPP parking on the verge which you have to pay.

Review 110:Location was great and the 3 bedroom apartment was a good size for 6 girls.

Review 111:Only one thing- access to reception with a big suitcase difficult due to stairs- no ramp.

Review 112:Staff at reception very helpful & professional. The continental breakfast included was just perfect. Enjoyed the balcony & fresh air! With Kings park just a short run away- just divine.

Review 113:Very hard bed, unit needs an update such as paint, leaky shower rose. Shower over bath and no handrail making it difficult to access safely.

Review 114:Spacious unit , quiet location, on site restaurant, meals were lovely.

Review 115:Everything. The room was grotty, dated, smelly and certainly not what we expected for the money we paid.

Review 116:Not a lot. Totally over priced. Apartment was smelly and grotty.

Review 117:the bathroom was quite basic and the couch had seen better days.

Review 118:The staff were very helpful providing an umbrella when it rained. I also liked the washer and dryer which was very handy after 2 weeks on the road.

Review 119:The main entry door into apartment was very thin and had large gaps on either side and above which ment we could hear everything going on in hall way and at night strong light shined through which was annoying.

Review 120:Clean and spacious apartment, very cosy and comfortable and staff were lovely and very helpful.

Review 121:Apart from the hotel there wasn't any restaurants or shops close by. We didn't have a balcony as described. More a courtyard with no view except other hotels etc towering over us from the hill above! At least a 15 min walk to cbd. Could hear noise from other guests so didn't sleep well

Review 122:Fairly large room but very dark, needed lights on during the day. Staff were all very friendly

Review 123:The pillows weren't great.

Review 124:The staff were excellent. Very reasonable price. Free wifi. Very comfortable stay. Good breakfast and facilities. Good value for money

Review 125:Pillows, blanket and towels were not properly cleaned. Toilet seat was old and not clean.

Review 126:Sufficient parking lots, spacious living area. Staffs who serving breakfast are friendly.

Review 127:Road noise a problem if windows opened. Apartment too cold and couldn't find a way of heating it.

Review 128:clean large apartment with lots of equipment for a long term stay. Very helpful reception staff

Review 129:Location, as the complex is very close to the CBD for walking yet the main freeway system is outside the door making it easy to get around Perth. Great continental breakfast. Basic WiFi was included despite the website saying it was extra. Parking was undercover, secure and free.

Review 130:Although the room was clean and kept that way during our stay, the walls would benefit with a new coat of paint. Some of the paint had been damaged and there were some cracks in the plaster.

Review 131:The location was excellent. It is close to Kings Park and to riverside walks. Access to the CBD is easy either by bus (no cost) or by walking. The self catering facilities had all the equipment needed for a no hassle stay.

Review 132:Shower - take it from me water economizing shower does not cut water usage. Commonly found but means you have to take about 10 mins just to wash the soap out. Be far better to have a good (& speedy) blast !!

Review 133:Beautifully clean, well equipped , lovely friendly and efficient staff, perfect location

Review 134:I had problems with the hotel reception at both check in (apparently I didn’t have a booking) and check out (the person on duty was asleep). It is also quite a difficult location, the first 100m is straight up Jacob's ladder and only for the seriously fit. It isn't very easy to get the free public transport and there aren't any close restaurants for dinner.

Review 135:I liked everything. Didn't get time to try the breckie :(

Review 136:I liked everything!! My daughter and I loved the Chinese Restaurant just up the street a little.

Review 137:The bed was hard and we could feel the join in the large king bed. Also had a coffee plunger but no plunge coffee in the room.

Review 138:Location was great and it was close to the Perth convention centre where we had a function.

Review 139:The apartment was very dated and unclean. Nothing like as advertised, numerous stains on bed sheets, toilets smelt, mould on tiles in bathrooms.

Review 140:Location
