Review 1：It was hard to find as you could not see a sign from the freeway but after a few trips to town we were ok.

Review 5：The rooms were good, and the location great. The staff was lovely, except for the Manageress. She was ok, but needs to work on being a bit warmer and more friendly. I had a few issues with the room- I found old garlic bread in my microwave, and the bathroom floor needed better cleaning. I would stay here again.

Review 6：They didn't explain there was a $20 per night charge for a pet until we checked in. Surprise! Also the hair dryer in the room was broken. It took 2 notes to house keeping and one to the front desk to fix it...which they finaly did the day we checked out

Review 16：Room by entrance door going all night... Please put a quieter door in! Near the ice machine as well and who needs ice at 2 in the morning! Breakfast was really poor, the first hotel I have ever been in with no toaster but yet huge bowls of grated cheese

Review 20：The staff were very understanding, friendly and accomodating. We arrived several hours early and the mananger was able to find us an alternate room without making us go somewhere to kill time. Sold us on the facility in the first fifteen minutes of our stay.

Review 21：We asked for a ground floor room and were given one down 2 flights of stairs. There was no elevator so no way to get a luggage cart up and down. Now we both have back problems.

Review 23：Front desk staff were extremely nice. The breakfast buffet was very good for a continental style breakfast. Lots of food options. Swimming pool and hot tub came in handy as it was very hot when we visited.

Review 24：Pillows were uncomfortable, not soft enough. Key card didn't work twice. Each day only one wash cloth given (there were two of us). No elevator to cart luggage and purchased wine to room!! Had to get staff assistance to use service elevator. Check in staff not friendly. Couldn't check in a few minutes early:( Placed in the back of hotel (literally) for "a quiet room" per check in staff, next door to screaming children!!

Review 26：The room was clean but was shabby (tear on upholstery) and it was noisy. Difficult to understand how a 'Plus' rating is achieved within the Best Western chain!

Review 28：Due to plan changes I had to add a day and a second room to our reservation. Desk staff was able to do this, but gave the impression they were moving mountains when we asked to keep the same rooms both nights. They did it, but for some reason they could not join the reservations in their computer and we had to pay twice and also get our keys re-issued the second day. Wi-fi kept dropping out died completely the first night. When I asked about it in the morning, I was told they would reset the router, which was fine. However, I was then followed by a staff person who knocked on our door even though we had the Do Not Disturb sign on, wanted to see my computer and actually took it out of my hands, then proceeded to mansplain everything I had already tried, refusing to listen even when I told him that I had solved it after the router reboot. This was all in the hallway with my spouse asleep in the room. This guy was condescending and unpleasant, and also wore the same dirty, paint-splattered uniform both days. Other staff shouted at each other across the breakfast room. Oh, and there's no elevator. Guys, you are charging elevator prices.

Review 31：Dead center of everything(walmart,grocery stores, gas stations, wellsfargo, CASINO ABOUT 5MILES AWAY, IN N OUT, PLACERVILLE FAIRGROUNDS) I WILL DEFINITELY stay here for now on. I visit Placerville 2-3 times a yr to get together with my family. I recommend this hotel verses any other ones wound that price range.

Review 35：The room and hotel we're great considering there are very few options in placerville. Room was really quiet. Good, clean beds and bathroom with 2 sink areas. Fridge and microwave a plus. Breakfast was good. Waffles! Staff was friendly.

Review 38：I am allergic to perfume and for some strange reason, they keep the hallways filled with scent; I had to put a towel under my door to keep it from coming in my room. The website information was incorrect in some ways: I had requested a smoking room and they did not mention they had none when I checked that box. It also said no pets were allowed, so I paid a dogsitter and then found out pets were allowed. The décor in the public areas could use updating, like4 the hallway carpeting. There are a lot of stairs and no elevator, which was hard on my 89-year-old father who was put in a 3rd floor room.

Review 39：The staff was courteous, the room was clean, the bathtub much deeper than most motels have, the grounds were very nice, and the breakfast was good. There is also my favorite restaurant, Casa Ramos, right next door.

Review 40：I was disappointed that there was no elevator. Toting luggage up flights of stairs was not fun for a senior. The television was inoperable when I got there. Maintenance "fixed" it but it continued to go off and on to the point that I just turned it off and read a book. I booked through booking.com and there was some mix-up and it took some time for the staff to find my reservation.

The pillows were plentiful (good), but too puffy to be comfortable for just resting a head on; better for propping up the upper body. Recommend asking if other types of pillows are available if you like to sleep flat. In the end I liked more than I didn't like.

Review 58：Nice facilities and very good free breakfast, with a hard working breakfast attendant. Very nice staff. Always able to park near our room. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker good. Nice bath and closet facilities. We were there to attend a memorial service and found all that we needed.

Review 59：This property is not ADA compliant. No elevator and No offer of Ground Floor Room.Difficult for a 1 legged Veteran on the 3rd floor. I fixed the Lamp, Air Conditioner, Shower Drain and Shower Head Myself. Should be O>K. for the next Guest.

Review 60：The login for WIFI didn't work. They placed us at the top of the stairs and had foot trafic and noise all night long. The carpets were dirty, stains were every where. Trim around the windows was not secured. The room looked old and shabby.
