Reviews for Santa Paloma Guest Farm
Review 1:Access road/gravel road is not suitable for low vehicles and no warnings are given during booking.
Review 2:Place is quiet and peaceful Children enjoyed seeing animals
Review 3:We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the attention given to us by our host. This is a beautiful place to stay, and I would consider flying directly to East London with the sole purpose of relaxing here for a few days. The breakfast was beyond our expectations and beautifully served.
Review 4:There was no bad experiences. All was well.
Review 5:Out of city rush, peaceful and quite. Everything was neat and clean. I just love the décor, it fits in with the farm.
Review 6:Driving into the place with a small car can damage your car. Dometory room has only 1 small window and can get hot inside, an aircon or fan can help. Toilets are not private.
Review 7:Cleanliness
Review 8:The beautifully decorated rustic lodge is set in an incredible location within a private reserve. Wild zebra, antelope and wilderbeast grazing close by as we ate on the veranda. We arrived late and the host was most welcoming, with no hesitation to assist us and prepare a late supper. The staff were very friendly and we were very sad to have only stayed for one night.
Review 9:The only thing that we missed was a fan in the room and a ladder to the top bed of the bunk bed. Other than that everything was perfect!
Review 10:Everything! It was beutiful and we felt very much at home. The staff were very friendly and helpfull! It was a great experience.
Review 11:if the rooms can have TV's in all the rooms, heaters or electric blankets during winter season as it was very cold.
Review 12:being surrounded by nature right in the middle of the forest away from noisy CBD.
Review 13:The setting is amazing, were in the centre of nature with loads of animals around. Sitting on deck drinking coffee, we saw buck at the watering hole within spitting distance. Staff were great, interested and helpful
Review 14:The dirty road is not for sissies and low profile run flat Mercedes Benz car tyres, but you soon forget the road when you settle in and take in everything around you!
Review 15:What an amazing place (farm) to stay. Down to earth, rustic and the owner(s) are actively involved in the operations. They welcomed me at the car and helped with the bags. They are serious about farming and more importantly nature reservation and interesting sustainable development and farming. The story of how the farm was built up from nothing is fascinating. Best of all is you have everything you need and you are 30 minutes away from East London's hustle and bustle! This is not a 5 star establishment, but if you love nature, passionate people and want to relax, then this is the place to be! They have interesting programs for kids.
Review 16:we loved everthing about that place, especially the nice and warm people who welcome you like family. the view was stunning! it´s nice and quiet, breakfast and dinner were delicious! we will come back for sure!
Review 17:Some guests may benefit from a warning about the nature of the road heading to the living area. Our vehicles were 'user friendly' for the road so it did not really bother us. Even understanding the nature of the environment, it may still bother some guests driving their low profile vehicles on the road. Two cement strips may be an option.....
Review 18:Relaxing atmosphere, home away from home feeling after a 7 hour road trip! Animal friendly and peaceful environment. Friendly, warm and competent reception and hospitality throughout overnight visit was much appreciated :) Lovely farm style breakfast, thanks!
Review 19:The organic fresh veg garden Relaxing on the veranda, in the evening watching buck and zebra grazing. Listening to all the birds and frogs. The school children's outdoor education program they run. The personal attention of Jacques and Nadia.
