Reviews for Best Western Plus Boulder Inn

Review 1:Great option in Boulder, close enough to everything, excellent value. Pearl Street hotels are much more expensive, but if you're not going that route this location is more central than most. Always choose this place unless it's sold out.

Review 2:My experience was very disappointing because some how Booking insinuated itself into my reservation process, resulting in the invalidation of 100.00 worth of reward points and nullifying the rewards we could have earned during our four day stay.

Review 3:Hot water temperature was minimally tolerable. Should have been warmer, and the hotel was pretty empty so demand was minimal.

Review 4:Very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows, and temperature control was effective and relatively quiet. Good breakfast options included with room.

Review 5:The internet access in the room was virtually non-existant. It worked in the lobby area, but I had a frustrating night trying to get it working in the room first, and I was there for business so cared more about internet access than I did the bed. Then internet was down when it was time to pay the bill and I never ended up a receipt.

Review 6:Bed was comfy, room was clean, staff were friendly

Review 7:A bit noisy, could hear people in other rooms and late night (2 in the morning) in the halls.

Review 8:Everyone always friendly and helpful. Breakfast always appreciated. Location was perfect

Review 9:We stayed in Boulder for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! The hotel is a 5-10 min drive from everything- restaurants, hiking, shops, etc. The price was great and we loved the included breakfast. A bonus was the beautiful view of the Flatirons from our balcony, lovely! Hopefully we can return one day!

Review 10:Good location, ideal for visiting Colorado University. Small room, could do with more storage space. Good breakfast, selection of hot and cold food, although not enough seating when busy at weekends.

Review 11:We thought $200/night was too much for a renovated 1970's hotel that was displaying misleading images of their facility online to the public.

Review 12:We liked breakfast, location, staff.

Review 13:The door thing was a bit weird. Hard to remember to put in the code then turn to the right or something . But your staff was always around and helped me. Hooray!

Review 14:Your staff is wonderful. Helpful and professional.

Review 15:the location is good, which is near the supermarket and several restaurants. the staffs are quite nice and thoughtful. by the way, i love the breakfast here, simple but delicious. and the bed is comfortable.

Review 16:The room was small. The closet was small and it was very close to the sink area. Not a lot of space for the money it cost. I have had much better rooms at other Best Western Plus Hotels in Colorado. The pool towels were also very small and not available on some days. I had to track down housekeeping for some on one day. Nothing was by the pool area at all. Also no bathrooms around the pool/hot tub area??? Certainly not the hotel's fault. But there was MAJOR construction right next door and we heard large construction trucks backing up from 7AM - 3PM every day except Sun. It was LOUD!

Review 17:The location was perfect for going back and forth to CU. I needed to make many trips moving my son back in to his dorm. The pool was terrific, very clean and glad it was outside. comfortable chairs all around there.

Review 18:Loved the coffee machine which gave you the ability to make latte, etc. Also the strawberries and blackberries with the waffles was a nice selection.

Review 19:It wasn't a problem for us, but it's about 3.5 km walk to downtown (Pearl St.)

Review 20:Large room with a balcony and a fridge, breakfast, free rental bikes, friendly staff

Review 21:Noise in the room from outside.

Review 22:Room was very loud from the corridor and outside by the pool. Room was great and staff very friendly. Breakfast was very basic.

Review 23:I received wonderful service in revising a reservation that wasseriously gone awry. The staff worked hard to fit us in, even though wehad reserved in the wrong month, online, and they were very full. Wewill definitely stay here again when in Boulder. It's a nice, cleanproperty and the pool is great! Dogs too! What's not to like!

Review 24:We had a ground floor room and were were surprisingly bothered by noise in the room above - the occupants walking around and opening doors etc. They were not being particularly noisy, but it still disturbed us.

Review 25:Well appointed room and nice outdoor pool area. Good breakfast choices.

Review 26:It's an updated motel. My sliding glass door was 1' away from the parking lot. Couldn't crack the door for fresh air b/c strangers could walk into my room from the lot. Outside of the parking lot, my view consisted of the highway. Rooms were just fine. Pool was closed (although not advertised) as such. I wouldn't pay more than $80 to stay here - unfortunately I paid $144 N.

Review 27:Not much.

Review 28:Our door had to be re-keyed three times in one day. Wish the staff had mentioned the benefits of not using housekeeping each day; we didn't use housekeeping but weren't aware of the benefit, so missed out.

Review 29:The hotel was close to our daughter's apartment.

Review 30:Not enough towels in room. Housekeeping staff got a little careless near the end of our visit, leaving a strap (maybe used around towels or sheets) laying on our floor, and there were two pieces of trash (including a cotton swab) on the floor outside our door. Coffee in the breakfast room was appallingly bad and undrinkable. I also didn't like that you could enter the breakfast room (with a ticket) only once. No second cup of tea an hour later!

Review 31:Our room was very clean, and the front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom toiletries were nice. Very easy access to the highway and nearby attractions.

Review 32:Lighting in the room...dreary. Lighting over the sink...horrible.

Review 33:Convenient; helpful staff. Walking distance of some good restaurants and Whole Foods Market.

Review 34:Breakfast wasn't very good but for it being free it was okay.

Review 35:I request to be placed on the highest floor facing the mountains and they complied! They also gave us a little goodies bag full of snacks for our anniversary!

Review 36:Traveling with a small pet and not allowed to leave pet in room. When having breakfast on the property had to leave pet in car.

Review 37:updated property, cleanliness and breakfast selection and lay out a very pleasant surprise.

Review 38:Nothing to major complain about--excellent four-day stay. The bed had a slight "valley" in it but was otherwise excellent, as were the comforter and pilllows. Had a great sleep.

Review 39:Very friendly staff, very clean and well-sound proofed rooms, and a free breakfast buffet that is among the best I've seen in many years.

Review 40:Wish it would be easier to access the campus by foot. The crossings of main roads and overbridges makes it difficult.

Review 41:Rooms on ground floor had either a patio or a view on the pool (only open in Summer). Breakfast was good and complete with fresh fruits and compostable plates, silverware, ...

Review 42:rooms poorly insulated so door slamming and loud talking in neighboring rooms can be a problem

Review 43:room modern, clean & quiet, decent and well-stocked breakfast, friendly, competent and helpful staff, pleasant whirlpool, easy check-in and out, accurate billing

Review 44:breakfast was terrible, air conditioning is loud and it will wake you at night when it starts.

Review 45:staff was super nice, the rooms are okay for an inn, the free wifi is decent, and the hotel was okay overall

Review 46:Second time I am staying here, both times in dead of winter Rooms are clean staff very welcoming, great buffet, comfortable rooms, great wifi and numerous TV channels

Review 47:We stayed over New Years. The staff was so helpful over the phone and in person. The property is clean and the beds super comfy. Great breakfast and a super location.

Review 48:A few very minor maintenance issues, but nothing impacting quality of stay. Their priorities seem to be in good order.

Review 49:The perfect marriage of value, quality, and location. They have the best breakfast EVER. What a great way to start your vacation day.

Review 50:Nothing.

Review 51:Room was large and bed was comfortable. Good lighting, and good TV/WiFi. Breakfast was better than usual. Location is great for travelling with a car.

Review 52:Room and bathroom very small. Pillows hard. Heater blower made a lot of rattling noise. Sink area too small. Lighting was poor. Work desk chair hard as a rock, with tiny desk too small to really work at.

Review 53:Utah Utes. Actually they were polite, as well.

Review 54:Room was quiet even though hotel is located along a major highway. Staff was efficient and helpful. Food was very good.

Review 55:The room was "for guests with pets" but it was too small for two people, a pet, pet accessories (crate etc.) and luggage. The closet doors were so small, it was difficult to hang clothing. The pillows were little squares rather than the standard sizes. The vanity was too small, no room to spread out or hang up toiletries/toiletry bag, especially for two people. The room would have been good for one person and a pet, or possibly two people with no pet.

Review 56:The staff was excellent.

Review 57:Breakfast room location is a separate building in parking lot of facility. If there had been bad weather (Boulder snow/wind!) it would've been slight challenge!

Review 58:Convenient location for CU events; last minute value; breakfast was great; staff were helpful; very quiet stay even though BW is tucked between two major Boulder roadways.

Review 59:A bit far from town, but was ok for us.

Review 60:Very clean, comfortable and large rooms, nice breakfast (no vegetables, but hey, we're in America), very friendly and helpful staff.

Review 61:Every staff member had a smile and a hello! Hotel was clean, rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of options. I'm a vegitarian, and there was plenty of good food options. Construction was going on, but you hardly knew they were there. Overall a great stay.

Review 62:At 1 am their were guests talking very loud outside the jacuzzi. I thought the jacuzzi should be locked at the closing time so this would not happen. The entrance was very confusing because there are different buildings to this hotel

Review 63:The breakfast has a variety and presented in an elegant fashion. My son enjoyed the free WiFi. The room was pleasant and the beds were comfortable.

Review 64:The building, rooms, and facilities could use an update. The doors connecting the building, for example, have old door entry codes and require circuitous walks to move from area of the hotel to another.

Review 65:Good value compared to other hotels in Boulder. The place is clean. The balconies are quite nice. The staff very friendly. Location near shopping and restaurants in Downtown Boulder.

Review 66:Dogs in other rooms barking and very thin walls so you can hear everything and everyone. Students in pool in middle of night, seem to use rooms for students of university, whilst they are waiting for their accommodation.

Review 67:Great pool and hot tub and sauna and good breakfast. If you get a pool room you can walk straight out. Mainly a hotel for business travellers and a bit of a walk from downtown

Review 68:The entrance to the motel is awkward, the parking is a little cramped. The lighting in the bathroom is hideous.

Review 69:Beds were comfortable, the breakfast was much better than you usually get at motels, and the staff really worked hard.

Review 70:Kuerig in room kept exploding in cup so grounds in drink. not consistent with coffee (received all decaf one morning) Had requested mountain view room and received view of pink wall of hotel next door. although they were willing to switch us, had already unpacked.

Review 71:pool & hot tub area nice. very clean and maintained. front desk very helpful with questions etc. Good variety with breakfast bar and attendants were very nice and kept well stocked consistently.

Review 72:Really, to be honest nothing bad

Review 73:Front desk staff were awesome! Very helpful with all our questions about area. Free bikes to use were our choice of transportation the whole stay. Bike paths everywhere.

Review 74:The room interior is updated but the hotel itself is not. Our first room was musty and the carpet was old. The staff upgraded our room and apologized! Great staff! Always cheerful and accommodating.

Review 75:Beds were super comfy

Review 76:A little way out of town but had free use of the bike hire facility. Definitely the best way to get around.

Review 77:Room was spacious and comfortable with a fantastic balcony view of the Rockies. Food good and staff exceptional.

Review 78:Charging for water! Would be nice to have a microwave in room.

Review 79:The pool was well kept ~ need to replace the cushions Breakfast was very good ~ great variety Security was good ~ needing a number to open outside doors Having walking distance to some restaurants was great.

Review 80:Nothing. We love the place!!

Review 81:We stay here when we visit our family every year and were delighted that an already wonderful property has been greatly enhanced by renovations. Our room was large and beautifully decorated and the bathroom was equipped with toothbrushes, toothpaste, the usual sundries and extras such as slippers and bathrobes. The new large breakfast room was light and bright and the selection was outstanding. The in-room WiFi signal was strong and reliable. The small business area allowed us to print our boarding passes before heading to the airport. Well done, guys and thank you!

Review 82:I couldn't rate it as Excellent because it's not a 4 star hotel. But that being said its better priced then the Marriott and again it was close to CU which was what we needed.

Review 83:Clean and great value for the money in my opinion. We needed to be close to CU and it is. The pool was great to cool off in and when it cooled down at night the hot tub was super. Our room was located overlooking the pool but the sound died down by 9:00. Staff was pleasant and attentive.

Review 84:Air conditioner is a pit noisy

Review 85:Stuff are super nice, clean place

Review 86:The fuller faucets are a little bit difficult to open.

Review 87:The coffee is good. And I enjoyed watching TV.

Review 101:Tight parking lot Stairs

Review 102:Friendly staff Nice room Good breakfast

Review 103:No kettle. Can't have my tea

Review 104:Staff are friendly and helpful

Review 105:Great location! Rooms were clean. Breakfast was nice. Staff was very friendly. Liked renting bikes and riding the Boulder Creek Trail.

Review 106:The friendly staff, decor, pool, hot tub, cleanliness, breakfast, spaciousness

Review 107:Friendly staff and great location for CU parents!

Review 108:Requested bike hire but all gone. So a bit disappointed.

Review 109:Location.

Review 110:Billing Dept

Review 111:A little bit hard to drive into the property.

Review 112:Very nice hot tub and "kiva" by pool.

Review 113:Clean, new, great facilities, personable staff, even had a laundry room!

Review 114:$245 is too much for one night. I won't do it again.

Review 115:How helpful the staff was.

Review 116:Great breakfast room with hot breakfast selections. New elevator was a nice addition. Hi-speed wifi and hdtv.

Review 117:Poor operating WiFi, 1st day scrambled eggs were floating in water. 3rd morning hard boiled eggs were the only option.

Review 118:Walking distance to restaurants. Great breakfast, lots of choice, fresh fruit, waffles etc

Review 119:We love the ease of access to Boulder. We really enjoy the breakfast and feel that we get just what we need when we visit Colorado.

Review 120:Saw people smoking on their balcony

Review 121:Clean and comfy!

Review 122:Wasn't a problem for us but you do need to drive if wishing to get downtown

Review 123:Very comfortable bed and good nights sleep

Review 124:No elevators card key didn't work several times and had to get staff to let us in room overpriced given above

Review 125:Staff pleasant location
