Reviews for West Coast Inn Santa Ana
Review 1:Some parts of the room weren't clean. The microwave and tv weren't easy to use without instructions
Review 2:Beds were large enough for three of us. Room was nice and large.
Review 3:The hard wood floor in the room above mine was noisy and kept me awake most of the night. I'll only stay there again if I can stay in their single level units.
Review 4:Clean and located near my venue
Review 5:No remote for TV in room ..they had to bring one to my room . When I woke up I found water all over bathroom floor but could not tell where it came from
Review 6:Staff were nice
Review 7:The staff is extremely rude and doesn't speak english well. They kept accusing me of having a dog while I checked in, since my friend who had helped me with a ride had a dog in the car. Despite me continually saying I was not trying to sneak a dog into the room, they would not believe me and kept nosing into my car while I was at the front desk.
Review 8:Jacuzzi tub was nice!
Review 9:The cleanliness is not the best. The room needs to be deep cleaned and maintained that way always! No cable only local channel's.The lighting is too bright. Needs a floor lamp. The pillows didn't smell clean.Spray them with Febreeze. It helps.
Review 10:Location. It shows nice from the street.Parking.Room is modern looking.Nice shower and bath sink. There is an excellent newly opened Vietnamese restaurant you can walk to on the corner of Westminster st and Harbor.
Review 11:This was seriously the worst place I have ever stayed at. Oil was on light switches and remote. Mattress was soiled, sheets stained. Stains on walls. I never got under the blankets!
Review 12:From the outside the place looks cute, simple but cute.
Review 13:I didn't like the fact that I had to pay for ICE. The first rime was free, but after that you had to pay.
Review 14:The location is literally, no more than six minutes from Disneyland. I am very picky about my T.V.s, but this motel had the perfect flat LCD t.v. With HDMI hookup. I liked how neat and clean the room was. The Wifi worked perfectly. The housekeepers were very nice and helpful.
Review 15:I had booked a "King Room w/ Jacuzzi". I ended up getting no jacuzzi, when I asked about it the man working the lobby was defensive and told me that I needed to pay $40 more dollars for the Jacuzzi room.
Review 16:Spacious room, microvave, table and refrigerator.
Review 17:When I moved the table one of the legs fell off. There was no hot water. The carpet had not been vacuumed.
Review 18:When I complained about the problems the morning of the second day day, all of the things I complained about had been fixed when I returned that evening. I was only there 2 days.
Review 19:The pictures of the rooms that I looked at when I booked the room where nothing close to the condition of the room we stayed in. It looks like they might be in the process of renovating, and maybe our room hasn't been done yet. It felt dirty. The room was fairly spacious with an extra "room" with a couch in it, but there was no light bulb in this space, and the couch was very worn and in bad shape; we didn't feel comfortable using this space at all. The lights in the rest of the room didn't work very well. The bathroom didn't feel very clean, and the hot water didn't work very well in the shower/tub. It is off of a very busy road and far away from shopping/eating in Santa Ana. Overall, I wasn't very impressed.
Review 20:The outside of the motel looks nice and updated and there was plenty of parking.
Review 21:now to counter that the rooms were not so attractive. there were carvings in the mirror in the bathroom. it reaked of cigarette smoke even though it was a "non smoking" room. the shower head was falling out of the wall and barely had any water pressure. now on to the park that really pissed me off. when I checked in the man at the front desk showed me everything before he charged me. I noticed the total price for the room was dramatically less the what I was quoted for on booking.com, so I questioned him & he assured me that it was the correct amount. the next day I got a call from the front desk saying there was an issue with the payment. I thought this was odd since the charge had gone through with my bank. when I got to the desk a girl who looked younger than me, I'm 19, she told me that the man who had checked me in charged me the wrong amount and that I would have to pay the difference. as I started to question why I was being punished for his mistake he showed up & told me that I either needed to pay or get out. instead of paying these people money they did not deserve I asked for a refund for the last night I was supposed to stay. needless to say, I was taken advantage of by a grown man because of my age. I would not recommend staying. they have a serious management issue, & also how they deal with their customers.
Review 22:the only thing I liked about this inn is that the outside of the property is actually very attractive the the eye
Review 23:The bathroom door handle was broken we had to make sure we did not close all the way or we had a hard time getting out. the air conditioning was not working properly but was fixed right away
Review 24:the outside of the hotel was very clean and peaceful. clean rooms. maids were very nice. It was close to Walmart and a little strip mall. 10 to 15 minute drive to Huntington beach. price was good considering it was booked at the last minute. let us check in about 30 minutes early
Review 25:Was asked for a $50 deposit and noticed a different person was only asked for a $20 deposit.
Review 26:Comfort&Covennience
Review 27:Ice machine did not work
Review 28:very loud ac, uncomfy blanket
Review 29:No iron with iron board or blow dryer.
Review 30:Our car got broken in to bad security
Review 31:Look good recently remodeled
Review 32:Construction deyails were not finished. The bed needs more pillows. The room felt very empty.
Review 33:New construction
Review 34:Near Disneyland, resonable pricing and modern conveniences.
Review 35:Bed was hard, duct tape on the curtains
Review 36:Big bathroom
Review 37:Great location there's many options of eating places, as well as places to visit
Review 38:Stiff bed and I was charged more than agrred upon price
Review 39:Updated and clean
Review 40:Very clean and safety place easy to go anywhere close to Disneyland my kids love it
Review 41:Tub faucet has a leak that dripped no matter what you did all day and night. It made a consistent pesky noise even with the bathroom door closed. No Closet or clothes hooks. No luggage rack. The sink water was grey, I notice this while filling a cup to rinse after brushing my teeth. The bed needs to be upgraded, it was tilted to one side and lumpy in spots. Lastly, I think it is a bit rude to charge for ice that's self serve. I've stayed in cheap and expensive 5 star hotels and never have ever seen such a thing.
Review 42:The staff accommodated my early check in about 3 hrs early. Property exterior looked really nice. Room size.
Review 43:The room was missing some basic necessities and niceties. For 120+ bucks a night, I would certainly expect some additional details! There was nowhere to hang your clothes -- I had to drape our hanging clothes over the folding luggage stand and put my other suitcase on the floor. There were no chairs, table or desk -- we had to spread a towel out and eat on the bed. The bed itself was pretty uncomfortable -- I've had better in cheaper places. Overall, not the worst place, not the best place, and not the greatest value for the price. The hosts were very perfunctory, not rude but not gracious either. The young guy handed over a quarter when I complained about paying for ice when our room was $120.
Review 44:The room was reasonably spacious and clean. I enjoyed the spa bath, and appreciated having a fridge and microwave. I liked the shelves under the bathroom sink. Nice job on the facade that transformed a basic 1950's motel into something a bit more charming. Harbor Blvd is an unattractive industrial thoroughfare but the location was a relatively short drive to the convention center (and Disneyland if that is your destination). It wasn't too loud at night.
Review 45:Had problems with the spa,not enough towels, bathroom door needed WD-40,not all lights in room working and toilet paper needed a holder.Remote for spa didn't work and couldn't hear tv in the spa.
Review 46:I liked the idea of the spa having it's own TV, BUT........
Review 47:Internet was free, but we were able to connect only one computer. Thereis a sign that administration of the hotel is not responsible for yourpersonal staff. So, every time when I needed to leave a room, I took myand my daughter's computers with me, just in case. I wasn't sure arethere a refrigerator and microwave in the room; there was no informationabout it on the web-site.
Review 48:Hotel is really clean; location is good and convenient. My daughter hadan orientation event at her Irvine University, so we needed 3 nights tostay in. Near the University hotels were too expensive, so I found thishotel and decided to stay because it was just 15 minutes driving toIrvine University, cheap enough, and has positive comments. I also foundthat this hotel is just 5 miles away from Disneyland, and just 10 miles(actually 25 minutes driving) from the Seal beach (the ocean was warm, parking was free!!!) This hotel doesn't have a continental breakfast, but in the room you can find a small coffeemaker machine, refrigeratorand microwave, small bags with coffee and sugar, cups, soap... I didn'tbring with me neither drinking water, coffee, or sugar... I you aregoing to stay in 2 stars hotel it will be better to bring with you somethings like drinking water, your coffee, sugar and cups you like, plates, forks and spoons, some food, napkins or paper towels. There arelots of places to eat near the hotel, but I do not like to eat junk foodevery day several times a day.
Review 49:The hotel check in was extremly over heated and made the check in process very uncomfortable. Once got to the room it was quite spacious. The TV had no english channels on it and made it frustrating when I do no speak spanish. The hotel was small and so I felt safe there until around midnight when the bars were getting out. The room was ok the bed was uncomfortable and the shower leaked quite perfusely. The lights to the room would flicker on and off throughout the night and I was glad to have only needed to stay there the one night only. This is a great place for individuals on a budget and whom speak spanish.
