Reviews for Castle Halii Kai at Waikoloa

Review 1:All water from faucets had a horrible sulfur smell, called the next morning and it took over 1.5 hours for someone to come by. (Wasted family and pool time, tending to their maintenance issue in a now SMELLY suite) Reason we were given was it's slow season, water has been sitting in water heater too long and we just need to let the hot water run until the tank empties. NOT my problem, I shouldn't have had to deal with it. We got our whole family of 6, (including 4 small ones) and MOVED to another unit... wasting our WHOLE DAY trying to get packed back up and resettled with the kids. They did give us a late evening check out the next day, but can't help but feel a little ripped off. Manager should have units on regular inspection to prevent this from causing strain on visitors. We came to relax, and spend a pretty penny to do it. Bummed we really didn't enjoy more than half our stay! ALSO! Get OCEANVIEW rooms if you want to be anywhere near the pool! Had to pack up whole family and DRIVE to the pool. Only one pool on property, it is BEAUTIFUL, just far :)

Review 2:Beautiful Pool Very Friendly Staff Coconut Grove Area w/BBQ & Hammocks Staff very apologetic & understanding

Review 3:This was my first time at Waikoloa Beach, and I was a little disappointed to be so far from restaurants and shopping with local flavor. The King's and Queen's shopping centers catered to the high-end shopper, not for someone looking for local color. Staff did not go out of its way to help us out on early check-in or our sofa bed.

Review 4:Our unit was perfect for us (though calling 7B "ocean view" is a stretch, as you have to look over the golf course to see it in the distance). The beds, baths and kitchen were in mint condition, and the resort pool is breathtaking.

Review 5:More beach amenities like an ice chest, more towels, beach chairs would have been nice. Otherwise I enjoyed my week and would recommend this resort.

Review 6:Enjoyed the pool area. Loved the privacy of the grouping of the chaise lounges. Very convenient to have a bar and resturant on site. Great food! Very quiet and private resort.

Review 7:Only having 1 car allowed on property. We have a big family, we own 2 cars. Huge disappointment when we reaches condo only to be told only 1 car allowed. I would not recommend this place to families with young children. The older guests were rude!!!

Review 8:No wifi hookup while there...borrowed neighbors.

Review 9:Clean, nice condo

Review 10:Great Location and Surrounds. Easy to get around facilities in area and access the rest of the island

Review 11:Apartment sleeps 6 but only 4 chairs at the table??!!

Review 12:Location and quality

Review 13:Nothing.

Review 14:Very attractive condo and surroundings. Great pool. All as advertised. Wish we could have stayed longer

Review 15:- Room is not ready when I checked in. Staff has to come back to clean the lower floor toilet. - Towels and soap are cheap quality. In other hotels we have separate beach towels at well. - My ocean view room on unit 6F can only be seen when walking out to lanai and look to the right. - Worst top all for $500/night (including tax), we has no internet access and no Wifi. Has to go to the pool to get Wifi access.

Review 16:- Nice pool with great ocean view - Staff is friendly, and allow our kids to access pool while waiting for room to be ready

Review 17:Well honestly our second day there we wanted to take our gang of kids to the pool area, when we got there we had 5 different floaties 3 for the kids the couldn't swim and 2 for the older kids who wanted to float around. My 3 year old nephew was screaming in excitement and the attendant came over and yelled at him and told us to read the rules and that we couldn't use the floaters. Not to sound like a racist but the white kids had floaters and they were making noise. So 5 minutes of Being there we left and went to a beach. We were invited to the hiltons pool the next day by the oceans sports manager.

Review 18:I loved the condo and the area. Very spacious clean and quite.

Review 19:Beautifully laid out condo, nicely decorated, perfect for couple and 2 boys ages 11 and 13. Kitchen had absolutely everything necessary to cook and eat in if desired. Location allowed for trying new restaurants and was close to all activities (scuba, Kona/Kailua, Waimea ranches, etc.). We loved our stay!

Review 20:Pool area far from room but with parking limited

Review 21:Very polite staff great job

Review 22:Nothing - all good

Review 23:Standard of accommodation, location, leisure activities / options
