Reviews for Yosemite Inn

Review 1:The room itself was clean, but the towels were filthy. The four of us shared two towels because the rest were not useable, including the hand towels.

Review 2:The location is excellent. It is a very short drive to Yosemite.

Review 3:No coffee pot in room No USB port for charging phones easily (many rooms now have this) Wifi service is an additional charge ;-(

Review 4:Good price Comfortable bed Clean linens/towels

Review 5:Noisy - thin walls. Alarm in adjacent room went off repeatedly, every 8 minutes, buzzing 50 plus times each time, for at least an hour. Spoke with the resident clerk, who didn't seem to understand the problem. Happened the next day again at 5 a.m. It was as if the person in the room tried to turn it off, but didn't know how. Could here every movement in each occupied adjacent room.

Review 6:The hassle getting a refund from them. They didn't understand English but had the nerve to make me feel like I was the problem.

Review 7:Rooms were large and well appointed. Bathroom was small but clean and practical. Stayed 1 night in transit to see Yosemite. Beds a bit hard and only 1x pillow each. Very dated decor. Reception staff friendly but not much English. Charged me twice for my stay and took 4 emails and 4 calls to get sorted.

Review 8:The bed-sheet were not clean, and partially also the shower was not the top. It was a bit noisy in the morning, as there was a group of workers on site, but the owner apologizes during the check-out Internet is expensive ($8/day), but that is a common aspect to all lodges on that location .

Review 9:Parking availability is a good point, as well as the location in the main street of Mariposa, where supermarket, restaurants and gasoline stations are.

Review 10:No coffee making facilities in the room, of course no kettle. No breakfast or coffee room on site. Which meant going to cafes etc. Also asked for fee if we wanted to use WiFi, when all other motels we used were free. Air conditioning easy to use but units very noisy.

Review 11:The location was great for Yosemite National Park. Easy for shopping, ATMs, and facilities in Maripossa. King sized room fine and roomy, fridge and microwave, useful of course. Small pool. All clean and tidy.

Review 12:BED BUGS! BED BUGS! BED BUGS! Dirty towels. TV didn't work. Moldy shower. Paying for wifi per night when it was slow?!?!

Review 13:The best part about this motel was its proximity to Yosemite National Park.

Review 14:Parking area is too small and compact. Noisy air conditioner. Exterior looks run down — though interior is clean and comfortable.

Review 15:Comparatively inexpensive for this area at this time of year. Despite run-down exterior appearance my room was comfortable and clean.

Review 16:My one and only complaint was the towels/wash cloths seemed to not be quite clean with some staining (?) I personally think hotels should use colored towels because if the items are not cycled out enough, they can be questionable.

Review 17:The staff was friendly which is always nice. I even helped a communication gap between the staff and another guest who was from another country and the two weren't connecting and both were thankful. The place was packed when I stayed and it was so quiet, loved that!

Review 18:It's a terrible hotel. Unfriendly stuff. It's rediculous you have to pay for wifi and anyway it doesn't work. Sheets were dirty. There are a lot of bedbugs. We had to leave. The person at the the front desk promised to return money back. And they didn't do this. Be careful guys!

Review 19:Nothing

Review 20:Very limited staff on duty No breakfast Decent restaurants close at 9:30 p.m. therefore no way to get an acceptable dinner on return from Yosemite park

Review 21:Location close to Yosemite Park Easy parking Spacious room Check in off hours

Review 22:For 110 USD per night we would expect breakfast to be included as well as wifi, instead you have to go out for breakfast and pay 8 USD for wifi access. I agree with another review I read about the noise of the air conditioning: bring ear plugs!

Review 23:Bed was very comfortable.

Review 24:The staff was pretty rude at our arrival and the worst was that our room (114) was full of bed bugs and all of us (i.e. me and my friends) had bed bugs' bite all over us. If you stay there make sure that when you come home you wash thoroughly ALL your clothes and isolate your luggage!

Review 25:They are infested with bedbugs! Got bites all over me!!! Being accused of lying about the bedbugs when I asked for my money back! We showed the owner the alive bugs and a dead one and she was still arguing with me! I had to spend my birthday covered in bites and deep leaning my car and I ruined clothes because I had to wash them with hot water!! And I don't think from the attitude received that they will try to fix the problem! Never again!!!!

Review 26:Their 48 hour cancellation policy is unrealistic and not competitive with other motels. They refused to allow a cancellation for Saturday night stay when requested on Friday evening at checkin.

Review 27:The hotel was expensive compared to other hotels in the area. But that's not important. I don't care if they gave me the room for free. I'll never go back there again. My wife woke in the middle of night feeling like she was getting bitten by insects. Next morning she had 31 large red welts in the bite pattern of bed bugs. We cut our trip short since we didn't want to stay in the room another night. We've done all we can to prevent bringing the bed bugs to our home. We think/hope we were successful.

Review 28:One beds sheets looked dirty but the managers or owners where fast to get it taken care of!

Review 29:I liked the price and the owners where very promit to fix any problem to make our stay better. It was perfect for a quick stay over.

Review 30:Ridiculous that you have to pay $8 per night per devices for WiFi! The poll was tiny, dirty, and very very cold! It was 95 to 105 degrees every day for a week, yet the pool was so cold you couldn't stand to be in it for more than 5-minutes. The hot tub did not work, the water was dirty, it smelled like people used it to bathe.

Review 31:Location to the west entrance to Yosemite a huge plus. The small town of Mariposa was great.

Review 32:For the value I would classify it equal to a motel 6. The room needs a total redo, carpets fraying and dirty looking, grout around bathtub black and molding, etc, There was no box spring under mattress but had a piece o board under mattress which slipped around.

Review 33:Bed sheets and room furnishings were not particularly nice or comfortable. Rooms have a huge flatscreen, with not much on, whilst the bed sheets seem old, mattress and pillows aren't comfortable. We knew what we were getting with motel accommodation, but give the price, would expect the bed to be a bit nicer.

Review 34:Rooms are big

Review 35:When we got there the woman behind the counter was rude. The room seemedok at first glance, but in the morning we found bed bugs and we werecovered with bites! We left the next morning, requested a refund forboth days. They did issue a refund, but that's not compensationenough for what we are still going through. Never again!

Review 36:Nothing but the helper guy...didn't get his name.

Review 37:Had to leave early due to an emergency and manager wouldn't even consider a refund for final night of stay. I know "policy" is one thing, but taking care of your customers and making them feel appreciated is something that needs to be priority.

Review 38:The room wasn't clean. We found ticks on the sheets. When I asked for a new room or thorough cleaning, they said they would take care of it. When we came back to the room, it was not clean at all. Dirty sheets where still on the ground.

Review 39:Location is good for Yosemite National Park

Review 40:Staff could not show us how to use TV remote. They also wanted $8 for wi-fi. No breakfast. Also, staff did not speak English very well - we had a hard time communicating. Very expensive for what you get.just

Review 41:Room was larger than most. We had 2 queen beds and there was plenty of space.

Review 42:When calling a client for a new credit card to put on file please do not have me on speaker while I give you my credit card information.

Review 43:pool was nice with the 100 degree weather. And the ac worked great.

Review 44:Paying for wifi is crazy should be included in the rate. Didn't use the pool (its very small) as the gate was locked with a key (guess for security)

Review 45:Large room which accommodated us and our huge amount of luggage. Microwave and fridge in room. Ac was a bit noisy but did its job

Review 46:One of our travellers left a phone behind. When we contacted the hotel they posted the phone onto our next destination without hesitation, found them very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Review 47:Very hot day. The air conditioner and fridge were turned off when we arrived. Air conditioner was not effecrive and didn't cool room down. There were no tissues in room.

Review 48:Room was Clem and comfortable. the owner and staff were friendly and warm.

Review 49:The bed and pillows were hard. I had to pay extra for wifi. And the air conditioner was really loud but appreciated because temps in the 90s.

Review 50:I liked the location 50 miles from Yosemite and the owner was friendly and helpful. There was no breakfast but the recommended Happy Burger was great.

Review 51:Owner and staff not friendly. Treated a disabled American vet who had his service dog with him, very badly. Had to ask for wash cloths both nights. WiFi fee exhorbant. Would not stay there again!

Review 52:The location was good

Review 53:Quite pricy but reasonable according to the area and other nearby places to stay

Review 54:Nice bed, quite at night, closer to eateries, right next to highway 140.

Review 55:Having to pay for wifi , as against lower priced motels offering it free. No breakfast option.

Review 56:Very nice room and location. In room micro and fridge. Generally a pleasant motel.

Review 57:No free wifi, room rates and check out time not posted. We had asked for early check in and the motel didn't know anything about it. We had confirmation that that early check in was approved. Had to wait a couple of hours for the room to be ready.

Review 58:The room was clean, the beds comfortable.

Review 59:Parking lot was full (I'm disabled and there was only one handicap stall and it was taken) but the employee did give me "his spot" to park. No coffee maker in the room. Bed had a wooden box in place of a box spring mattress. I paid more for this room than I did for my hotel room in downtown L.A.

Review 60:Unprofessional staff. First they authorized full price 3 weeks before stay. Then after check out they charged my card again instead of finalizing previous authoritation.

Review 61:Close to Yosemite. Approximately one hour drive to Yosemite Valley. Good rooms.

Review 62:The floors could have been a little cleaner

Review 63:Loved the location, it was sweet and convenient. The wifi didn't work and I didn't get cell service, but it was nice to focus on my trip not my phone :)

Review 64:Room was fairly clean in general but there were some issues that we were unhappy with. Hotel manager happily refunded our money.

Review 65:Great location for visiting Yosemite (45 minutes to Yosemite Village), nice tidy facilities and friendly staff. Town of Mariposa is quaint and friendly.

Review 66:The website indicated the presence of a pool and a complimentary breakfast for guests, but neither of those amenities was included. The pool was closed, and there was no breakfast of any kind.

Review 67:Mariposa is a beautiful little town with lots of shopping and dining options within walking distance of the Yosemite Inn. The room was nice and big with the promised stove and frig and a good tv.

Review 68:Brochures are a bit outdated (it said they offer breakfast but they don't).

Review 69:Nice motel in a nice village, located near to Yosemite. Staff was really helpful.

Review 70:Toilet flush did not work at first but reception guy fixed it real quick.

Review 71:Very friendly guy at reception, bathroom fixtures were brand-new. We got free WiFi even though it's $7.99 per day normally. Nice gesture! (Would have been disappointed if we had paid for it though, because it was a bit slow.)

Review 72:Maybe not the slowest wifi ever but quite close. And as cellular signal is also very weak or inexistant in Mariposa, relatively hard to access Internet.

Review 73:Closest hotel to Yosemite without paying four times more. Convenient to find. Huge room with way too much space. Microwave and fridge

Review 74:The strange conditioning system that randomly switches on during night) But then we pulled a plug so it was OK

Review 75:Location is great, you can make a great circle visiting Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias and Yosemite Valley. The hotel is just near the visitor center that also saved much our time. A lot of nice dinner places, fresh air! Administrator was very helpful!

Review 76:Hotel seems tired, and has limited facilities. But feels very safe, and staff very kind and helpful.

Review 77:Proximity to Yosemite. Luigi's helpfullness. Excellent stopping off place to visit Yosemite. Mariposa has limited choices for eating in evening.

Review 78:Close enough to Yosemite west and south entrance(about an hour to Mariposa grove.) You can take the YART bus into Yosemite valley for $10 round trip(takes an hour), the park and ride is within walking distance of the hotel. Plus there's a gas station and a grocery store near by. It's in a very small town, perfect location, near all highways into Yosemite.

Review 79:TV did not work the first day. Harassed about being a smoker. Was told we had to go to the middle of the properties parking lot to smoke. Booking.com told us there was only one room available when in truth there was only 3 customers for around 25 rooms.

Review 80:Clean.

Review 81:Cable tv showed only commercials. It was quite annoying to watch for 2 nights. Breakfast was not what I've expected for the money paid.

Review 82:Loved this hotel! Very nice big room, clean and comfortable.

Review 83:Breakfast was a little bit crowded and limited. The place for the breakfast only had a few tables and as we all wanted to get soon at Yosemite park it was difficult to have breakfast.

Review 84:We liked the location and the facilities provided, which were what we expected.

Review 85:The Wi-Fi strength was spotty.

Review 86:The manager is a very kind man who was very accommodating to our delay travel plans. There is a late night check in at the main office that was very convenient. This place is about 30 to 35 minutes away from Yosemite Valley and perfect location. Knowing that the value for the price is good

Review 87:The room smelled bad and it was difficult to properly air it. There was not much of a breakfast at all - barely any choice if you like your breakfast to be relatively healthy. There's however a nice health shop really close by with good sandwiches. Although most restaurants are down the street, about 10 min walk, there's no sidewalk so you pretty much have to take your car.

Review 88:We just wanted something simple for one night and for that the place was fine. The room was big and the beds comfortable. Friendly staff.

Review 89:Noisy air conditioner.

Review 90:Great restaurant nearby . Good location to park. Good breakfast provided. You can see that they have made an effort to upgrade an old motel. Price should be a little less.

Review 91:- Clean room - Breakfast was the usual (o.k.), breakfast room was really small, so going there early is advisable - Our room was on the 2nd floor, it was pretty quiet

Review 92:Internet was slow, but what do you expect in that area

Review 93:Staff was very nice Room was very large and clean Flat Panel TV w/Directv Refridge/Microwave was nice

Review 94:- our second room had bed bugs, after sleeping there and being bitten all over we checked out, the gentleman running the place didn't even pretend to care and offered us a compensation of $10 upon request - the first room had an ants line running through it, we were relocated to a different room on request Just some additional minor nags: - shower head very low - hot tub broken - very slow wifi - room needs better vacuuming along edges

Review 95:- large rooms - plenty of parking space - 1h15 drive to Yosemite Village

Review 96:The room was hot, no air was turned on, so had to wait for the room to cool down. The refrigerator was turned off, so had to wait for it to cool down in order to put my pop in it. They offer free breakfast, but I don't know what time so we didn't get any. No coffee pot in the room, so were couldn't even get coffee before we left. We left at 7 am

Review 97:Looked nice, didn't smell

Review 98:The gentleman who answered the phone could not give us proper directions on how to get there from a few miles away. He was not very helpful. I reserved a king bed and there were 2 Queen beds. The room had a terrible smell, of some kind of cleaner or chemical. The aircondioner was very loud. You could hear our neighbors thru the wall easily. It was very expensive. The jacuzzi wasn't dirty and not working.

Review 99:It was in walking distance of the little town of Mariposa.

Review 100:We expected a bit more for the price they charged. It's just a cheap motel on the road, close to nothing. The design is horrific and everything looks really old. I wouldn't come here again.

Review 101:Horrendously tiny Breakfast room / Kitchen area. Not big enough to accommodate more than a couple of guests at one time & very basic facilities. Accomodation itself is just a basic Motel, room was adequate for a one night stay, but would look to stay elsewhere if we ever came back to this area of the U.S.

Review 102:Good location near(ish) for Yosemite

Review 103:No single brew coffee maker though there is some coffee shops within easy walking distance.

Review 104:Though it doesn't have all of the white on white that is common in upscale hotels we were quite impressed with everything. Lots of families and tourists yet quiet and comfortable.

Review 105:No high chair available for breakfast & very little space available to eat breakfast so had to feed my 2 year old & 6 month old sat on the stairs!

Review 106:Clean rooms with air conditioning

Review 107:wifi was bad. I can connect to wifi, but can not connect to internet. I was bitten and was allergy by insects and woke at midnight. Perhaps it was the blanket's problem. It is ok after I remove the blanket.

Review 108:room is bigger. Nice of receptionist.

Review 109:Air conditioning was horrible, it was noisy like a working diesel generator in your bedroom. Without it you can't sleep either. Bed linen is syntethic... The water is available only by bottles 1$ each, so it's better to ask in the nearest bar to fill your bottle. Overall it's way overpriced.

Review 110:The location is excellent, pretty close to Yosemite west gate, and one of the few that have space during the summer. Staff do great even late at night.

Review 111:Noise all over the place. Noisy air conditioning, the bathroom fan sounds like a rocket launching. Even if yours is off, you can hear your neighbours' just as well. People downstairs of us arrived in the middle of the night and behaved very noisily - we could hear it all. Even with my earplugs in, I could barely sleep a wink. Definitely the worst night's sleep during our 3 weeks in the US. Topped up with a poor and badly organized breakfast: not enough seats, items running out, flies to keep you company.

Review 112:Nice staff, efficient checkin, comfortable beds.

Review 113:The complementary breakfast is indeed complementary but cannot be described as breakfast: stale bread and cereals, very small breakfast room, no trays to take the food to the room. Free internet is so slow that it becomes unusable. Very poor performance overall.

Review 114:Spacious room

Review 115:Ugly curb appeal. Looks like a warehouse or army building. Tricky parking & entrance/exit when full.

Review 116:Easy to find. Room was comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Staff were pleasant and patient.

Review 117:The Inn was very bad value for money. The room itself was clean, but the frigde had been turned of and closed. It smelt when we opened it, so we would/could not use it. The air condition was so loud, we could not sleep if is was turned on. The "breakfast room" it was a tiny room perhaps it had room for 8-10 people. The breakfast was of poor quality. People spend all day at the park, it did not make sense, that the tiny pool was closed in the morning. We were travelling with 3 children in many states. We do not mind expensive and we do not mind roughing it. But we do mind spending a lot of money on something like a overpriced hostel

Review 118:We liked, that the distance to the National Park was okay On the other side of the road, you find a informationcenter, they gave very good advice. The are not connected to the Inn.

Review 119:Outside lights left on all night and shone into room. Very small breakfast room and flies came in Noisy air conditioner in room

Review 120:Big spacious room Helpful owners

Review 121:- Breakfast was not good at all. Only 15-18 chairs for a hotel with over 25+ rooms. Sometimes you have to wait for an empty chair. There were no proteins (egg, bacon or similar). No fruits. This could be improved significantly.

Review 122:Staff were helpful and welcoming. We arrived earlier than Checkin time and were granted a nice clean room.

Review 123:The room was smelly; breakfast was bad even according to american standard (no really coffee, no tea, plastic dishes); the "pool" was not clean and was so small that two people are too much for it. What is NOT ACCEPTABLE at all is that the cleaning lady entered our room, although the sign "do not disturb" was clearly shown on the door. Our stuff was moved!!!

Review 124:the location: the town Mariposa is a nice little historical town, which has some cool shops and good restaurants.

Review 125:Hair on the shower walls, stench when you walk in the door. They had a refrigerator, but it didn't work. They had a TV, but it didn't work after 9:00pm

Review 126:Too far away from Yosemite Park. Bad parking. Outside Trash cans not emptied often enough. Stunk and right outside our room.

Review 127:Bed was comfortable, room was clean

Review 128:The breakfast was so so. Yogurt was tasteless. There was no fruit.

Review 129:It's a simple motel but the price was worth staying. The room is spacious. The parking was free and right at the door because we took the room downstairs. The WIFI in the room was perfect.

Review 130:The motel is old and tired but is was clean. The included breakfast is very limited and the breakfast room is quite small.

Review 131:I chose this hotel for location and price. The town is cute and it is a relatively short drive to Yosemite.

Review 132:The breakfast was poor The pool opent to late That they toke money off my account 2 times !!!!

Review 133:The pool Big room How clean it was The lady that welcomed us

Review 134:Rooms a bit fusty Pool awful locationbut only staying one night so no issue for us Air conditioning noisy but necessary

Review 135:Location Room size Quaintness

Review 136:Accommodation basic but positives more than make up for this, you get what you pay for and we were happy

Review 137:Stunning scenery, location near Yosemite, nice town Cooking facilities in room, good size, two beds. Weather
