Reviews for The Islands at Mauna Lani

Review 1:the condo is quite a walk from the beach so we always had to drive. Cushions for the outside chairs would have been great and 2 more chairs for the outside table.

Review 2:the condo was great, clean spacious good facilities. Really pleased that the owners left their bikes there as we used these a lot, plus beach gear.

Review 3:The actual beach associated with the property was pretty small and too far away to walk to.

Review 4:Plenty of space for our family of four. Very quiet and relaxing. Great location. Condo was clean and very well maintained.

Review 5:If you use maps app with any of the addresses posted online, it's difficult to find. The checkin location is not obvious. After a bit of driving around and phone calls, we finally found it. However, after a long day of travel and finally checking in, our moods were completely turned around after seeing the inside of the unit!

Review 6:Not only seems bigger than the photos, but comes with lots of little details that you don't usually get at hotels. There were DVD players in every room, all the kitchen utensils/containers/cookware you'd ever need, and our unit even had an extra day bed which made the sleeping arrangements perfect for our family of 6.

Review 7:30 mins from Kona. Restaurants were very expensive.

Review 8:Accommodation was excellent. Local shops were good value for money and local beach was outstanding.

Review 9:Our unit D4 wasn't as well maintained and decorated as it should be. Although the unit has some nice pieces of furniture and art work, it also has items that looked like they were picked up at a garage sale. The units are 20 years old--I believe they were originally professionally decorated and then as this unit changed hands random items where added. Regarding the maintence, it didn't seem that anyone was paying attention to this unit, (owner, rental company or association) unless a renter reported a problem. In 7 days I reported: 1) There was no outside lighting in front at all--4 lights (at the beginning of sidewalk, at entrance to courtyard, a spot light in the court yard and the light over the front door) were either not working or burned out. With a detached garage this was dangerous. 2) over grown palms covered half of the front door 3) loose raised brick in entry courtyard 4) burned out light bulb in house 5) barbeque had broken starter (they brought us a manual lighter--I wouldn't recommend anyone using this unless you know what you're doing)

Review 10:Large well built two bedroom condo, perfect for a group of 4-6. Unit had Wi-Fi, and the downstairs TV had all the sports channels. Daily cleaning crew where very nice. When a tropical storm, the day before our arrival, caused airlines to cancel flights the property management team was very helpful and offered to allow me to change our dates if need be. You have access to a private beach with good snorkeling, and you can buy a family membership for the week at the Mona Lani Health Club (although the cost is $325)

Review 11:Excellent place to stay. Furnishings were lovely. Close to the Mauna Lani shops, fish ponds and beach (turtles sunning themselves on the beach).
