Review 1：The matresses were worn and uncomfortable. Due to the location of the property being right next to the highway, it was extremely noisy throughout the night.

Review 14：Other than for one morning when I arrived for breakfast just before 9:00 to be told breakfast ends at 9:00 with no pushing beyond boundaries and ensuring I ate something, the lodge borders the N3 highway and the bush experience is constantly disturbed by the sound of trucks and vehicles passing by.

Review 15：The lodge is set on the banks of Msunduzi river and nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the the sleepy town of Pietermaritzburg. It offers a unique bush experience close to all the amenities that Peitermaritzburg has to offer. The bar and eatery are great with exciting meals and drinks

Review 60：I stayed at the bushlodge for 4 days, it was relaxing, tranquil and private, fantastic views and an amazing chef, 1 get away to remember, we loved the peacefullness and the wonderful reception from the friendly staff, that make you feel at home, the Egrets also made our stay watching them was blissful, we got to meet Fred the pet monitor lizard which was quite a fright but in a delightful way, all in all a place to be if you love quality time and the outdoors

Review 61：Woodland Drive is closed at the one end and the Garmin's first choice is to enter there. It would be a help to have a note on the website to take New England Road off ramp from which the Garmin will happily take you to the main entrance.

Review 69：We booked a room on Booking.com promising a bath and a shower etc. on arrival ( we were the only guests staying in the hotel) we were told that a room with s bath would be R200 extra- so not only did they not deliver on their promises( false advertising) but they also refused to give us what was promised even though we were the only guests in the entire lodge. The location is terrible, right next to a highway and industrial area, had trouble sleeping with all the traffic noise- very bad. Inhospitable.

Review 71：Poor communication from reservations office. I emailed the reservation office a number of times to confirm my booking, I received no response until I called on the day of arrival to check if all was in order. No phone in the room so we had to make call using our own phones if we required assistance. No tv remote and the TV set wasn't working. The lady at reception sounded surprised when we let her know but later admitted that there was lightning damage in the room that required fixing. There was no mention of this to us when we checked in.
