Review 1:Beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable, ceiling fan in bedroom only (noisy, struggled to sleep), maintenance did not sort out and no offer of another room. Did not think hotel offered good value for money. Courtyard Hotel included breakfast in tariff.

Review 7:Friendly staff who went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Initially I was placed in a small room with not much natural light, I requested another room and was then moved to a very comfortable room.
Review 8:When booking in at Regent, we were told we were upgraded to ICC Premier and when we got there we were told it was King David. We were attending a conference at ICC and King David is far away. Manageress sorted it out and we stayed at Regent.

Review 10:The reception staff were very bad. There was no one at reception, someone popped up after 10min with grease on their hands and checked me in typing with their knuckles, while still chewing food! I asked about the wi-if and she mumbled something with food in her mouth! The rooms are old, old TV, old bathroom, old sofa and no air conditioner! Clean but very antique, nothing fresh about the place from reception to the rooms. I ordered out as I didn't trust what would come from their kitchen if their reception looked so old! The staff need to go school of customer service.

Review 14:No hairdryer in room. Not enough info on room service to say you have to pay cash. Not able to put on hotel bill. Inconvenience. housekeeping took off linen and didn't replace pillow cases until next day. Pillows was extremely dirty so we slept on the towels.

Review 20:Bad location, over looks very busy and noisy main road. Aircon not working properly in lounge area, making it very hot and stuffy. No aircon in bedroom, can't leave windows open due to noisy main street. We checked in at 16:30, reception had to call around checking for a room that was ready for us. House keeping was still servicing rooms until after 19:00. No milk or spoons in our room, when we tried calling reception we discovered that the phone didn't work.

Review 22:I specifically requested that our room have a romantic vibe as it was our anniversary, got to a very plain room...no candles, no wine, no nothing. I was very dissapointed with the staff. Reception take too long to answer calls and when they finally do, they take even longer time to reply to your request. Not a good service at all. Lastly, the windows / sliding door to patio need a proper cleaning as they were very dirty.

Review 26:Lack of information about the town's main sites and major tourist places. Did not have maps/direction of the nearby places. The night reception manager must advise clients to keep the noise levels down. The BAR Area must have a variety of brands and some snacks to munch when clients by drinks.
Review 27:Clean, near the beach front, breakfast area is neat. They accommodate and meet repeat clients requests for business. They reception adviser allowed discount as per my previous booking. Saving me money makes me happy.

Review 69:Room needed maintenance - sink didn't drain, tap was stuck, curtain at the shower not fully put up, windows filthy, carpets stained.... And worst of all, there were bed bugs. No internet, although I was told there would be. Overpriced - for 20% more, I could have stayed in the hotel next year which I new and modern, and had an excellent breakfast at the same price. AV and sound in the conference room failed. I picked up 14 coffee cups before finding a clean to use. All our room keys stopped working one morning after the cleaning crew went in. No apologies from the front desk staff.

Review 71:The food was inedible.The staff ,although keen , knew nothing about the wines on offer or the pricing of same. More training required. When trying to get satisfaction with a complaint about the food , the reception supervisor was not sympathetic in fact she was rude!

Review 74:We were told there was only internet available in the Lobby where we did our business. We later found independently that is was available in the room as well. When we arrived we were asked to supply a credit card to charge meals to our room. We then spent hours trying to convince the staff that we shouldn't have to pay only cash!! This was very embarrassing being treated like thieves or fraudsters. With great reluctance, we did receive an apology, but needless to say, we wont be going again.
Review 75:Room service meals are left in the passage by staff. By the afternoon, most of these left-over meals are still sitting on the floor outside the rooms.
Review 76:We stayed for three days. The location was fantastic, right on the sea. Parking was always avialable and safe. The rooms are clean and neat.

Review 81:I booked a suite and paid the increased amount and then got a normal room. This was not the room advertised.When i questioned the front desk i was informed that it was the correct room.However the booking showed differently.Not happy.
Review 82:One of the worst hotels I have stayed at. Very poor responses at checkin - little help. Said we could have dinner in the main restaurant.Transpired restaurant was closed. Had to have a group buffet. Reason -an exhibition on so too many people to open the main restauarant. Bookedtaxi in advance for 9:30 am the following morning but it did not arrive.Later established that the evening reception reception did not actuallymake the booking. To be fair the next day reception staff did all theycould to get a shuttle provided. Hotel and rooms looked as though theywere good some years ago but evrything looked tired and univiting.Luckily only a one night business stop. Unfortunately I have to say Iwould not use this hotel again.

The only people who were vaguely efficient were the staff at room service, however room service ends at 22h00. For a supposed business and leisure hotel, that is very strange.

I went to the front desk to complain and request that they upgrade my room to a suite at an extra cost of course but instead the staff were arrogant and couldn't even assist. The one working at night said I must come in the morning because they'll be rooms available the following day, and the morning staff told me there's no such.
Review 91:The fact that I had traveled all night from Johannesburg and wanted tobook in by 11 am only to be told "you cant book in now only at 3 pm " atake it or leave it attatude I represented Samsung S.A. at the" Destiny"conferance for over 100 deligates in the hotel. Poor !!!!!!!!!
Review 92:Its a comfortable place to be at. The room was clean, relaxing and I wasso comfortable in it. It is a nice and quiet place with only the nicesound of the sea.
Review 93:I was not welcommed well when I got there, the security kept asking if Iwas sure I had a booking there in a very undermining way. They put some label on our wrists which we had to show when going in and out, this label looked exactly the same as one used in hospitals as a result people outside were asking if we are from the hospital. I requested a sleeper couch for my children and housekeeping kept promising yet they didnt deliver. When I called them again the next morning they said they dont provide them, showing lack of respect for guests - they should have told from the word go. I went out to buy some food, when i got back they refused entry with food which doesnt normally happened. This hotel was my favourite hotel in eastlondon, I'm not sure if I would want to go there again after the illtreatment i received.
