Reviews for Village of Loon Mountain by VRI resorts
Review 1:Needs a little updating. If your going to be gone for the day it is a good deal. The front staff so so....
Review 2:Very clean. Perfect for a group of people with kitchen facilities. The location cannot be beat. It's a great deal for the money.
Review 3:Very close to mountain, but you need to take shuttle that only ran until 4:30pm.
Review 4:Staff worked very hard to resolve room issues quickly...Thank you Carl and the maintenance staff! Units were located across the road from Loon main entrance. Great pool & hot tub facility. Stores, movies, restaurants, and other activities are only a mile away by car.
Review 5:Absolutely no complaints.
Review 6:The staff was wonderful. After getting there, they upgraded us to a 2 BR condo because we were traveling with elderly. The property was beautiful and was in a great location to explore the White Mountains. The amenities were in abundance. I would absolutely stay again.
Review 7:Nothing -- this was a very nice place to stay. We did discover that in early November the town of Lincoln is mostly closed...
Review 8:Very helpful front desk rearranged reserved room to better accommodate elderly parents travelling with us.
Review 9:No hot tub! After long hard hikes all I wanted to do was soak. And the shower in the room was very poor. Decor needs a bit of updating. Windows were dirty.
Review 10:Location and staff. Size of the suite was outstanding. View was nice but dirty Windows.
Review 11:Not necessarily a bad experience, but I certainly did not expect to have to strip the beds and take out the trash before checking out of our unit. This service should have been covered as part of our expensive rental fees. HOW INSULTING !!!
Review 12:The location at Loon Mtn. was central to many attractions and good restaurants.
Review 13:Access to the two upper bedroom. Ladder and the stairs, kitchen not well equipped and the smell. Definitely needs updating.
Review 14:The price, location, gas fireplace
Review 15:While it was explained that the hotel was now doing recycling, there was no recycling bag in our suite. The TV remote must've needed new batteries.
Review 16:We came for the Highland Games, so this hotel was MOST convenient. the staff was friendly and courteous.
Review 17:It would have been nice to at least have paper towels and salt/pepper in the kitchen. Also for Unit 315, 2nd floor hall had spongy floor as if there had been water damage. Unit could use some refurbishing.
Review 18:Glad you are now recycling.
Review 19:Loved the pool and the hot tubs. Kitchen was well equipped except for a can opener. One of the nicest places we have stayed for a very reasonable price.
Review 20:I didn't like how there were limited kitchen utensils. Also wasn't aware they had dish soap until after I went to store and purchasedo some.
Review 21:I enjoyed how nice and friendly the staff was. Also prime spot for all the attractions in the White Mountains.
Review 22:The Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, until we checked out! The blond clerk made me feel that it was beneath her to "check out" a customer, perhaps she was manager? I truly don't know but really the only "negative" I can come up with during our stay! Everyone and everything else was excellent.
Review 23:No matter where we were, we had gorgeous mountains surrounding the complex. Looking out our 1bedroom lift window or in the outdoor hot tub/pools. It was the natural beauty of the land that made relaxing so much easier.
Review 24:Poor check in process. Called ahead for a relative to check in first. Placed name on Reservation. Receptionist could not find my relative's name so therefore have to wait. Unbeknownst to the receptionist, the name was on there all along (next page). I showed up irritated with the whole delay check in process.
Review 25:Very convient location.
Review 26:They never changed out the towels, even though I asked. Also we could hear the little kids next door crying very early in the morning.
Review 27:The location was really good. The place was nice. I thought it was a bit small for a family of four.
Review 28:I thought the outside of our building could use a little "sprucing up" and cleaning. The games rooms should have the games fixed. There were so many that were out of order. Also, I think that 10 AM is too early of a departure time. It should be at least 11 if not noon time.
Review 29:I loved the view from our room, the set up of the condo, the free wifi and cable. The pools and game rooms were wonderful. And the tennis courts and basketball courts looked great although we didn't use them.
Review 30:The location was exactly where we wanted to be. Even though we did not use any of the amenities it was nice to know that they were there if we had wanted to use them but we were too busy enjoying the surrounding area and so we had no time for them.
Review 31:Pull out bed was terrible.. The springs poke you in the back. I know they're not known for comfort but it defi foley wasn't. There was a faint smoke smell in the non smoking condo.
Review 32:Location, the availability of a kitchen and seperate living room. The pools and playground.
Review 33:Nothing
Review 34:The whole place was really nice ! From the room to the four pools and hot tubs .. We took out two kids ages 6&10 they loved it . They thought the pull out sofa bed was cool .. Rooms were clean and really nice I was Leary after reading some mixed reviews but it was excellent!! Can't wait to go back next yr. Also the location is great close to Clarks trading post and the lost river both excellent attractions worth checking out !
Review 35:You can hear the plumbing, etc. from other units around you.
Review 36:Easy location. Nice downtown area. Desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Very family friendly place, I might look elsewhere for a weekend get away with friends when I leave my kids at home...
Review 37:The pools closed too early. Eight o'clock is just about the time hikers get back from dinner and are ready to relax in the pools and hot tubs. Very disappointing.
Review 38:The employees were friendly and helpful. The units were great!
Review 39:Building and rooms were rustic, lacking niceties. Entrance to rooms was motel style, only from outside with no elevator access. Two condos booked months ahead for our group were in different buildings because (according to customer service at the front desk) house keeping had not cleaned rooms in the same area and had left for the day. With so many choices in the area, would not stay here again. Have had nicer accommodations and staff at other NH and VT mountain resorts.
Review 40:The location was convenient to the natural wonders that we were in NH to visit. The rooms were quiet, had a full kitchen and plenty of sleep and storage space. Two bedrooms with doors, plus a loft area with two twin beds - felt like three bedrooms. Two full bathrooms.
Review 41:However due to peak season being over, shuttle busses weren't running to loon mountain.
Review 42:I got great value for my money by staying in the condo bedroom at the end of season.
Review 43:A few light bulbs were out in our room and a fake drawer was falling off. The vents in the bathroom are very dusty so someone sensitive to dust could have a bit more sneezing than usual. All in all we always enjoy the amenities when we are in the room.
Review 44:I always enjoy coming here to relax and the area itself. I have been here two times and truly enjoyed each stay. Its located on what I would say is the most beautiful road in NY (kangamangus)
Review 45:See above
Review 46:Don't mind and understand older furniture, however there is no excuse for bedding which is unsleepable. The mattress in the BR was old and lacked support. The sleeper sofa was unusable, even for a small child.
Review 47:The personnel that work at front desk, they were very rude, I think because we were Latinos, they were very nice to other but not to us. Also the two ones that work at the swimming pool, they have the same attitude. They make us to abandon the pool before the time they was suppose to close. I will never go back or recommend the Village of Loon Mountain. So disappointed ... very disappointed.
Review 48:The facility, the room, the bet, the space, the pool, the hot tub, the view. The personnel that work cleaning the parking lot. (nice people).
Review 49:We booked at the Village of Loon because of the facilities/amenities it offered. The outdoor hot tub was "closed until further notice", which would have been nice to know before. ALL of the indoor hot tubs were cold and the sauna wasn't on. The room was obnoxiously loud. We could hear the man in the room next to us on his cell phone and we could hear they're tv through the wall. We ended up having to watch tv in the bedroom all weekend because of this. When people walked outside on the floors above us, it sounded like they were coming through the ceiling. It was not relaxing and extremely aggravating. We contemplated switching hotels, but we were only going to be there for 2 nights. We will not be staying there again.
Review 50:The hotel was located practically acrossIt'd at the beginning of the Kancaman the street from the mountain, which is awesome! It's at the beginning of the Kancamangus and a short drive to the main strip! A great location!
Review 51:Dirty- toilets were not clean, found water bottles, plastic wrappers, clothes from past guests. Toaster did not work, old old comforters, awful pillows, no room for ski stuff except one coat rack, veryuncomfortable couch and one chair
Review 52:Very close to Loon mountain, slept 6 (although 2 beds are in a loft thatlooks over family room), shuttle service to Loon, fire place in livingroom, one bathroom on each floor
Review 53:4 days vaca just my 11yo daughter and myself. Comfy, quiet, spacious, and great view. 1st time staying there and can't wait for my our next outing.
Review 54:base board heaters were all fallen apart and everything is covered in paint making it look dated. couldn't open refrigerator all the way because its was in between wall and heater.
Review 55:location, quiet, fireplace, view of the mountains, loft had plenty of room
Review 56:Unclean, although there was a "clean seal" around the toilet lid, once opened there was marks which proved cleaning wasn't done. The touch points were dirty, splatter marks in closet, hole in wall near gas fireplace switch, few stains on the carpet, weird stain on the wall, ceiling patch repairs falling apart/off... could have been a better stay also if the group of women weren't being loud and obnoxious all night. Glad they were having fun at our expense.
Review 57:Location was ok
Review 58:Booking.com couldnt manage our booking on sunday for same day checkin late at night. Staff and booking finally sorted that out the next morning!
Review 59:Very good staff, helpful, large room, fireplace
Review 60:the unit seemed dirty and the carpet was dirty and spotty. There was a collectionof stuff under the bathroom heater just not what I'm used to from condos in that area
Review 61:location was very nice and the reception staff were very friendly
Review 62:Room needs to be renovated. Bathrooms are very dated, paint coming off the ceiling, old and small toilet and tub/shower combo. Fridge shelves were falling apart, toaster looked dangerous. Pillows were old and lumpy - just lots of things needing updating
Review 63:Nothing much except location was away from main road and quiet. Carpeting was not too bad and the fireplace was nice with quick on gas flames.
Review 64:My condo was not beautiful as the other reviews indicated. Linens and towels were cheap. Sheets were thin and nubby. Kitchen appliances worked but were very cheap. The knives were dull. The hot tub was just okay. Since I was going to to a funeral, I needed to iron and there was no full size ironing board and a very cheap iron. Walls are thin so you hear the people next door taking showers. The picture on booking.com looked amazing but was not what my unit looked like. The website made it sound like it was nearly sold out but the building we were in was nearly empty. That being said we had people on either side of us and above us.
Review 65:Location and staff was very friendly
Review 66:My friends and I only get together annually. They left the accommodations up to me,as I am from N.H. I heard about the village from another friend and booked our stay. We were more than pleased as we walked thru the door. and even better after our first night. We are all in our fiftys, so the hot tub visits and the massages were a welcome treat. We joined the bridges, blueberries and wine tasting excursion and had an absolutely wonderful time. I would stay again in a heartbeat.!!
Review 67:No automatic daily housekeeping - needed to call front desk; had to drive garbage to dumpster as you exit facility;
Review 68:Convenient to Loon Mountain ski area; convenient to synagogue in the summer; close enough to get to town for shopping, but far enough away to feel privacy; easy to get to off of the highway; nice amenities - pools (outdoor & indoor), lots of tennis courts, bbq area, playground
Review 69:noisy from above, frig door interferes with radiator and only opens part way (should be fixed), 4 pm checkin to 10 am checkout = not much time for a 1 day stay, precharge 10 days in advance
Review 70:2 tv's, kitchen adequate, comfortable bed and furniture, quiet room except for resident above, free parking, nice pool
Review 71:Male staff at front desk on arrival seemed a little tired. No roll-away beds (cots) available. Kitchen (Room 215) smelled like cooking grease. Pools small and crowded. Facilities seem generally a little tired and worn out, time for an overhaul/upgrade.
Review 72:Kitchen facilities in room pretty good. Quiet location.
Review 73:Room was nothing like pictures. Very tight compared to what I expected . My poor wife could barely get to her room on a wheel chair.
Review 74:Pools were nice, too bad someone disabled could not get up stairs. The workout facility was impossible for someone disabled.
Review 75:Plenty to do there
Review 76:One those atendent is not good for this job , i has been before there and she was not good too.

Review 96:cold water ran hot for a long time (we were in Lodge 5) - child was very upset when he turned on cold water and hurt his hands
Review 97:Location pools tennis large accomodations
Review 98:A/c did I not work on one day and when it's high 90's that's unpleasant. No fix had to move.
Review 99:Great location
Review 100:One lady in the reception was very unhelpfull

Review 111:B auto fill views
Review 112:Fantastic location. Right on the Kanc. Easy trip to Franconia Notch and Mt. Washington State Parks.

Review 116:Great accommodations. Convenient. Lots to do in area.
