Review 1：The shuttle isn't the most reliable.
Review 2：Very relaxing, location wasn't too far from the main street but it was a hike to get down and up. Taxis run for 10 to 11 dollars and the shuttle isn't reliable.
Review 3：The staff who checked me in was not friendly in the least... I requested a room close to the conf room where our Christmas party was and the answer was no... All the rooms were empty seeing that it is low season
Review 4：The hotel is not ADA friendly. While it does have an elevator, getting to the front office is difficult as the walkway is steep.

Review 6：One employee was not very friendly and even acted short when asked simple questions. This male at reception was not Tim. Tim was great and made up for the short comings of the other guy.
Review 7：The staff were very helpful when we missed the last ferry - they moved our reservation to the next night free of charge! The grounds are nicely landscaped and the room was big and clean with a nice balcony. It's up the hill instead of in town, so probably the quietest place to stay on the island.
Review 8：The place looked clean at the beginning but on the second day we started to see bugs everywhere. Also I called that staff many timed for a clogged kitchen and bathroom sinks. They keep promising to send the maintance but they never did. For this price I expected a better service and cleanliness. They don't have storage for luggage when you check out so I got stuck with the luggage until my families' flight time.

Review 10：The Restaurant was closed at Lunch. We had just arrived and wanted to rest... with a meal under our belt. Cold pool, but we managed.

Review 12：They have a shuttle (white mini van) running. Port - downtown - hotel...you can walk totally as the town is very compact but it's nice you don't have to drag your luggage. It seems only 1 car running on weekdays but town is small so not much problem.
Review 13：front desk never answered phones before check in or after. Had a light out that I couldn't call through to get fixed. Had a party above us I couldn't get through at night to quiet down at 230 am. Worst of all, there were hundreds of red ants in the room. At check out when I told them about the noise, light, and ants, the lady said " I don't know what you want me to do about any of this, you want to go to hospital? I'm not sure why you are telling me any of this." I have never complained once and am a very easy understanding person with any hotel I've stayed at. the moment she did say that to ruin my girlfriends birthday, ticked me off I must admit. I asked for nothing less than a discount, which wasn't even close to the worth of hell that happened and the lady spent the next 10 min in silence then had some young fellow bring a bug spray to follow and wait for me to pack.

Review 19：Reserved the room for $300, went online the day of to get the address, and the same room was $125. Booked earlier to avoid higher costs. But didn't exactly pan out for my first visit to the island.

Review 23：Room was like it wasnt even cleaned. Long black hair all over the floor, hairbrush and socks in plain view. Shower didnt drain and flooded bathroom, entry and part of bedroom area, but cleaning staff helped fix right away, altho we had to leave room.

Review 29：I reserved a third floor room at least one month in advance, however, when I checked in, my reserved third floor room wasn't available. I ended up in a ground floor suite and ended up complaining about guests making too much noise above my room.

Review 31：We didn't like anything. we LOVED EVERYTHING! I was completely impressed with your hotel. I had read a couple of bad reveiws and those folks had it wrong. Our room was clean the bed was perfect and the tv was great. We'll be back!
Review 32：We got there early so left our luggage in a storage closet. When we got back our bags were wet with some smelly water that got over lots of our clothes. The staff wasn't too helpful or apologetic, we had to take our clothes to a local laundromat and wash it ourselves. The last shuttle is at 10:45pm, and taxis stop service at midnight, so if you want to grab a drink in the town you pretty much have to walk back to the hotel...an uphill walk in total darkness. The WiFi is pretty much useless, it didn't work very well at all.
Review 33：The facilities are pretty decent, pool is nice, and the spa was excellent. The location isn't horrible but not ideal, but they do provide shuttle service up and down the hill. The shuttle drivers were very helpful and accommodating. To walk it is about 15 minutes.

He was super informative and gave us a lot of tips on where to go for lunch, particularly a great spot for happy hour, and other activities to do on the island. The bed was super comfy. You can tell they are going through updates and they are going in a good direction. The restaurant had really good food as well. The fried chicken was excellent.

Shuttle service makes jaunts down to Crescent very easy...the walk down is no big deal, but coming back is a bit more difficult!
Review 41：The bed was oddly constructed so that the mattress would slip a bit off the stand, which made for some painful encounters with corners. Bed was somewhat uncomfortable. Hotel located pretty far away from town so we were reliant on the shuttle. Wifi was terrible, but that seemed true for the whole island. Restaurant not the best. No bath, only shower.
Review 42：The shuttle was reliable and drivers were friendly. Nice swimming pool. Front desk was helpful and nice. Reasonably clean. Nice selection of cable TV channels. Drinks and snacks available in lobby and vending machines.

Review 64：Aside from the nice rooms the rest of the facility is rundown. In an effort to change this there is constant construction. The kind with loud saws and equipment starting at 8 am. Also the location is highly inconvenient. You must wait for a highly inconsistent shuttle to transport you to and from the hotel. Room service doesn't actually change your sheets only makes the bed.

Review 76：1) We called for a p/u at the helicopter pad-NO one- never showed up. We had to pay for a cab that we should not have paid for when the hotel offered shuttle service.2) because picked us up at the helicopter pad, the MANAGER offered a late check out after we asked and said " yes that's the least we could do". 3) the next morning at 11:20am the housekeeper TRIED TO UNLOCK the door. We told her we had a 2pm late check out. 4) AGAIN at 12:00 they BAM on the door again and again we told them we had a 2pm late check out. 5) at 12:30 the front desk called and said they had NO notes stating a late check out. So my fiancé and I packed and we downstairs and the MANAGER looked us straight in the face and said she do not remember agreeing to a late check out!!!!! My fiancé work a 12 hour shift on SUNDAYS and he was just looking forward to sleeping in late. We were coming back to this hotel for our wedding that's taking place on Catalina Island next year.

As one of the two rooms wasn't clean when we arrived, we didn't discover this until late afternoon and had to move everything (8 people and stuff.). Other disgruntled parties due to hot tub not working. We thought the setting was nice among the Eucalyptus trees, but stayed here only because it was the only property that took one-night bookings that weekend.

I wanted the whole bill charged to a different card( our son was paying for the trip) They had charged my card first thing that morning.
