Review 9:One of our favorite guest houses during three weeks in South Africa. Gordon met us immediately upon our arrival, showing us to our spacious and tastefully decorated room. He recommended an excellent fish restaurant and ensured we had reservations before leaving us to unpack and freshen up. The room was so inviting, we didn’t want to leave. Morag has an obvious gift for décor. Our breakfasts were freshly prepared and delicious. The common room was very comfortable. The hospitality was genuine. Would definitely go back.

Review 59:The hospitality was amazing. We really really enjoyed our stay!
Review 60:The homely and instant acceptance of us by both the hosts. They were very accommodating and humble. We usually don't do B&B's because we are private people and this was the ultimate, the hosts stepped in at just the right times. Most definitely will go back for Comrades 2015!

Review 65:We loved everything about this guest house. We were tired when we arrived and our hosts provided us with soup and bread even though we had not booked anything. Breakfast was the best we have had during our stay in South Africa. Absolutely delicious. The room was quirky but fun and the garden very pretty. When it was time to leave our hosts provided really good advice about what to see on the Midlands Meander. We would certainly recommend Babbling Brook to our friends.
Review 66:Hosts, Gordon and Morag, were most gracious. The rooms were spotless and very well designed, with good quality finishes and amenities. One did not feel cramped at all. Bed and linen comfortable and of good quality cotton. Breakfast prepared as per the guests request. Highly recommended.
Review 67:Lovely hosts, excellent food beautifully presented, very clean and comfortable rooms with everything one could need. A peaceful haven away from the city but only an half hours to the outstanding Midlands Meander attractions including the Howick Falls and the Mandela Capture site and many other places of interest. This B and B is superb.
Review 68:Google guided us to the wrong location, and we ended up in a part of Pietermaritzburg that wasn't the best. While arrived at Babbling Brook Bed & Breakfast we learned that other guests had the same experience. Hope Booking.com can improve this.
Review 69:Very friendly owners that did their utmost to make our stay comfortable. Excellent breakfast and special attention for wellbeing of guests.
Review 70:Not really a major problem, but the aircon kept switching on and off, which was a bit of a disturbance during the night. But otherwise, no complaints :)

Review 84:Lovely lovely lovely place! The room was very comfortable!! The staff (owners) is friendly and very helpful..we had a problem with the map and Moran, very kind, came to pick up us in the middle of the town!! The day after they gave us a lot of suggestions about things and places to visit around Pietermaritzburg.
Review 85:Best vegetarian breakfast we received during our three-week trip. Amazing! (cheese muffins, avocado, ...). Very warm welcome. Very well designed room with all facilities including fridge and microwave. Big bathroom. Perfect Internet connection. Very friendly people who knew their province well and have sent us on a nice route towards the Drakensberg mountains. Pity we stayed over only for one night because this B&B is very, very recommended for both business and leisure travellers.
Review 86:Morag and Gordon are impeccable hosts: friendly, helpful, prepared to go out of their way to accommodate their guests. I couldn't have asked for more
Review 87:A bit too close to town and the busy roads
Review 88:Breakfast was great and a wide variety of foods. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff and owners very accommodating, friendly and made our whole stay there very pleasant.
Review 89:Gordon and Morag are so very friendly and hospitable. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and they even provided us with a very nice camp-cot for our 8 month old. Breakfast was lovely, wish we had more time to explore the botanical gardens that are right behind the b+b. A great stay. We will def go again.
Review 90:Absolutely nothing.
Review 91:The house was very nice, separated entrance, kitchen, nice shower room. I felt very much cozy to be there. It was really pity, we stayed only one night, wished to stay longer ! Surely, next time to plan differently , making day trips to visiting from there . The breakfast was very nice too. Morag baked Muffin, was sooo good ! I told them , I didn't ride on the ostrich in Oudtshoorn, leaving from the house, Gordon gave me as ostrich key holder as souvenir. I attached it with my bag. Thank You ! They asked me 2 days before going their place, what time and from where we were coming ? It's so nice feeling , they cared of us . Thank you !
Review 92:Nothing, except that it was a fair way out of Pietermaritzburg. This was not a major problem, for our contacts were on that side of town.
Review 93:Everything, especially the attention to detail - in the setting, the unit, the decor and the meals.
Review 94:Not that much option to have diner in the area.
Review 95:Gordon and Morag (the owners) are very nice people, eager to share allgood tips they have. This was great experience for us. The breakfast wasamazing. Morag even offered a small souvenir from the Bed&Breakfastso we will not forget this experience.
Review 96:Nothing - just be prepared that this is a B&B so expect to eat out or bring in something to warm in the microwave.
Review 97:I was made to feel very welcome. My room was well equipped, with a large desk and kitchenette and was tastefully furnished. The free wifi had a good signal. Breakfast was good. Overall, a place of peace, comfort and care all at a good price. Would recommend to business or leisure traveller.
Review 98:There is nothing that I did not like.
Review 99:Everything - Morag and Gordan are the most fantastic, hospitable andaccomodating people that you could ever hope to find. They made surethat I had everything that I could possible need and more - it wasbetter than staying with family, indeed they made you feel likefamily.Talk about "going the extra mile" - they did that andmore. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
