Reviews for Cranmore Inn Bed and Breakfast
Review 1:The co owners were were friendly inviting and very customer service oriented. My friends and I felt more like we were visiting a friends home full of warmth and love. Not to mention they put on a spectacular breakfast which is included with the one night stay. Can't beat the location. Short walk to the center iof North Conway shopping and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.
Review 2:Eddie was incredible! Excellent service and a very pleasant and caring person. Entire staff attentive and really there to give you a truly pampered stay.
Review 3:The breakfast was restricted in choice and in particular the amount. No hairdryer in room only available at reception.
Review 4:A very comfortable lounge and afternoon tea and cakes.
Review 5:Would have appreciated a later check out time (i.e. 11 a.m.).
Review 6:Very clean, comfortable. Hosts were attentive and friendly. Loved the common areas, especially the backyard with fire pit and the elegant living room - lots of space to enjoy and not feel crowded.
Review 7:Nothing
Review 8:Christopher and Eddie exceptional hosts....nothing is too much to make your stay just perfect. It really is a home from home. Breakfast superb and excellent location for exploring.
Review 9:We had the 2 bedroom suite, one queen and one king with a full bath; perfectly appointed. The Inn, with all its' amenities, we especially enjoyed the fire pit ablaze for night time conversation and relaxation!
Review 10:The Inn was nicely decorated, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff was helpful, gracious, and good listeners. Breakfasts were great. Enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and the surrounding. Enjoyed the quaint shopping area of North Conway as well.
Review 11:This was a great location - near the downtown but still quiet. We enjoyed the swimming pool after a day of hiking but did not get around to trying the hot tub. Our gracious hosts provided a fire pit in the evening and a delicious breakfast in the AM. A very enjoyable stay!
Review 12:The location was great and the innkeepers very friendly and helpful about places to go nearby. The inn was beautiful. The blueberry pancakes were delicious!
Review 13:Very difficult to find with GPS, and room on the third floor.
Review 14:Very nice facility. Not extravagant, but very nice. Staff were very nice and accommodating. We really liked Inn and staff.
Review 15:Beautiful building, nicely appointed apartments, great location and super attentive owners and staff. Consistently delicious breakfast. What's not to like?
Review 16:The whole experience was excellent, welcoming owners, beautiful house & garden, central location & brilliant breakfast. We have visited the States 18 times & this is one of the best places we have stayed in.
Review 17:The room was ideal for a couple but a bit small for a couple with an older child.
Review 18:Excellent staff, wonderful breakfast. Our en suite bathroom was superb.
Review 19:Wifi very patchy and most of the time could not log onto but was offered which was good
Review 20:Excellent location close the centre of town and to scenic railway. Hot tub and swimming pool nice thoughts as was cold water dispenser
Review 21:Very welcoming, lovely and clean, characterful building. The outside is very pleasant and has a pool and hot tub. Owners were extremely helpful when we had a problem with our passports.
Review 22:The whole atmosphere of the inn was great. Everyone was very friendly and created a great close-knot family environment. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in North Conway.
Review 23:When we arrive late in the afternoon, the receptionist was not very pleasant ( maybe we woke him up from his nap?).
Review 24:Bed was comfortable. Room was cosy.
Review 25:nothing
Review 26:From the moment of booking we received very detailed information about the place, and arriving there we were impressed by the house, grounds, and most of all the very warm atmosphere. The bed and breakfast is big enough to have a lot of privacy but small enough to feel like family! We felt very welcomed from the very first moment and left as friends. Add this to a great apartment ( we had room 200) and an awesome breakfast...We can't wait to come back! Thank you for everything!
Review 27:We spend A LOT of time in this area... Too much? This place was excellent.. The staff was great, the owners went over the top for everyone! Great time, Great place! Location is perfect!
Review 28:We stayed for a long weekend and were upgraded to a suite, which was very convenient. Owners and staff were without exception very friendly and helpful and all the facilities (pool, hot tub, fire) were great; we even had a good time spending the greatest part of a rainy Sunday in the living room! We'll certainly be back when we decide to visit the White Mountains again.
Review 29:Really enjoyed our 2 night stay there. The pool was very nice. Didn't have a chance to go in the hot tub:( Great location and very nice place. Christopher and Eddie were great and we will be back at sometime.
Review 30:Leaving
Review 31:Owners did every thing to make for great stay. The breakfasts were one best we have had. Location is in the town and walking distance of shops and resturants. Would stay there again.
Review 32:I couldn't stay longer!
Review 33:The owners were so charming, helpful and welcoming. The location was perfect and the accommodations above most B&B's. When we had our complimentary breakfast I felt like I was in a friends home. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and ensure our stay was enjoyable.
Review 34:A beautiful inn with a lovely welcome from the owners (who showed us how to unlock the boot on the rental car!). Well appointed bedroom and a guest sitting room and TV room and a beautiful garden. Sitting on the porch was best! Really close to restaurants and shops and the station.
Review 35:Wifi was a bit patchy
Review 36:The 2 bed apartment was fabulous with all of the luxury you could want. The fire pit was a cool place to sit and have a glass of wine and it's a great location to walk to town from.
Review 37:Nothing not to like
Review 38:Clean and comfortable apartment. Breakfast was also included in the main part of the inn which was a real bonus. Close to local shops
Review 39:Most things....the staff were very helpful, the room was excellent as was the inclusive breakfast Some nice touches such as afternoon tea...just wish the weather had been kinder
Review 40:Brilliant Inn with fantastic owners & staff who really care that their guests have a great time. We loved the location, the Hoolligans Restaurant up the road, the decore & the friendliness
Review 41:Nothing all was good :)
Review 42:Everything ,the location walking distance to coffee shops etc etc, staff made you feel like you were part of there family ,nothing was to much trouble ,would recommend to all
Review 43:Would love to go back. Everything was fantastic from size of the room to all the other areas. Really liked the fire in our room. Great breakfast. Nice touches of the hot tub and evening outside fire.
Review 44:We were travelling from New Zealand and so were a long way from home. Many hotels etc claim to be a home away from home but Cranmore actually achieved this.
Review 45:The noisiest fridge freezer in the corner of the kitchen area switching on and off randomly all night. Hearing our neighbour's TV until 1 am.
Review 46:Convenient location near a wide range of shops and restaurants. Pretty surroundings in a nice garden. Superb fire in the corner of the room made it very cosy. Breakfast was great with attentive service. A photo of us was taken as we left and emailed to us, which was a nice touch.
Review 47:The only problem with this beautiful guesthouse is noise - (road traffic at the front, ceiling noise from rooms above, and the staircase that ran alongside our room, even though carpeted).
Review 48:Overall ambience is charming and welcoming, the decor is tasteful, all is spotlessly clean, and the short walk to the cafés and amenities of the centre of town. A lot of effort and love is expended in making this guesthouse truly lovely.
Review 49:Everytime someone upstairs flushed the toilet it woke you up at night. Need new pillows. Limited hrs for breakfast, no extension on Sunday mornings. No ice machine. Missed the notice about asking front desk for a hairdryer.
Review 50:Location. Bed was comfortable, room was clean.
Review 51:The only thing that would have made it easier would be help with luggage to our room. I have knee issues and carrying bag was a bit tough.
Review 52:Great breakfast Friendly service Great backyard and hot tub Easy access to Main Street Very clean room with beautifully designed bathroom.
Review 53:Nothing at all!
Review 54:This hotel could not be faulted. Staff and management went out of their way to make you feel at home. Hotel full of character. Would be #1 on list of hotels ever used!
Review 55:Was mid-week off-season so place lacked a bit of atmosphere. Would have liked a little more breakfast too.
Review 56:Nice room with easy access to car. Short walk to centre of town and good recommendation on places to eat.
Review 57:No facilities for coffee. Configuration of two room suite didn't suit mixed sex group with only bathroom ensuite to one bedroom.
Review 58:The location was excellent. Short walk to railway and centre. Good restaurants, coffee shops close by. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Review 59:Friendly hosts, excellent accommodation right in the middle of North Conway, one street back off the Main Street. Hot tub and fire pit nice touches. Varied breakfasts very good.
Review 60:very limited breakfast hours- could not eat due to conflicts with church hours 8 to 9:30 no fridge in room no coffee except during breakfast hours limited service hours must check out early -no late check out cost - high for very limited extras - I was not there during high occupancy times tax on food whether you eat or not
Review 61:good location older building has charm, but floor squeaks so loudly it can wake you up
Review 62:Reformed and modernised but maybe lost a little of it's early 20th century charm. Actually this can be said of North Conway in general.
Review 63:Convenient to town and attractions
Review 64:Able to accommodate a family with 3 teenagers for a reasonable price, yummy breakfast, nice hot tub & pool, very clean rooms, nice fire every night! Christopher & Eddie were wonderful!
Review 65:The view of the dilapidated building behind the Inn and minimal Mount Cranmore view. Headboards on bed too high to see out the windows anyway really.
Review 66:The price was right for the season and location and what you got for your dollar; Breakfast, outside campfire nightly, pool, hot tub, snacks at night and caring hosts! Walking distance to the village shops is a perk too. Room was very nice, clean and had a modern feel for older home.
Review 67:Our particular Queen room small and bed a little to hard/firm for us. Breakfast ok, would have liked to mix and match a bit. ie: one pancake with one egg. Instead of two eggs OR two pancakes. Hubby and I fixed this by splitting up/sharing our breakfast a bit. Coffee good and hot. Noise from traffic offset by putting on fan/AC.
Review 68:Lovely Inn, clean, well appointed. Staff/owners attentive. When I say clean I mean spotless and I like that. Great front porch, beautifully restored, close to village and restaurants. Enjoyed bonfire. Coffee good and hot.
Review 69:Chris & Eddie should be given the best in North Conway award for 2014. The Inn is immaculate in every sense. Warm welcome awaits the weary traveller, the accommodations are 1st class, the breakfasts are superb, the hospitality unbeatable and the ambiance supreme, you must visit the Cranmore Inn.
Review 70:This is our first inn experience and we loved everything about it. Atmosphere and facility was great. The innkeepers were sooooo nice and hospitable. Simply amazing! We'll be back!
Review 71:Nothing, I wish I could have been able to stay longer.
Review 72:The older charm, the warm family feeling and felt safe and most of all it felt like home, very clean.
Review 73:Nothing.
Review 74:The proximity to shops and dining was great, and we had a very comfortable and clean room. Staff members made a lovely fire out back in the evening. The hot tub was perfect on that chilly evening. Breakfast was nice.
Review 75:Our room looked like it was last remodeled in the 1980s and while everything worked it was somewhat tired looking.
Review 76:We had never been to a B&B with so many nice amenities, there was a large deck in back with a hot tub and pool and in the evenings there was a fire pit to sit by. The breakfasts were also excellent full breakfasts. They had an afternoon snack available every day along with coffee/tea. The staff was uniformly welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect, only a block from the central business district a dozen restaurants you could walk to.
Review 77:If I had any complaint, it would be that the bed was too hard. But for me this was a minor concern.
Review 78:We had a fabulous time in North Conway and enjoyed staying at the Cranmore Inn. Eddie and Christopher are great hosts and tour guides. They provided a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the Inn. We loved sitting on their back patio by the fire pit, enjoying the evening with good company. And the location of the Inn was perfect for us. We will go back again.
Review 79:This is more than a b and b, it is comfortable, there are places to relax both inside and outside, not just in your room, the decoration is immaculate and within walking distance of some great places to eat.
Review 80:Though I liked the breakfast menu they served in the morning, I would have preferred an earlier time you could eat. Breakfast doesnt start until 8 but I like to exercise first thing in the morning and then eat. The Wi-Fi was spotty and wasnt always working. Though the patio area with the hot tub was nice the area by the pool wasnt as clean and nice looking as the rest of the grounds. I was also hoping the owners would be a little more welcoming, it seemed as though it was an inconvenience to check us in and out and show us around some.
Review 81:The location is perfect and within easy walking distance to local shops and wonderful restaurants. The room was newly renovated with a gorgeous slate walk-in shower with double shower heads. The patio area was lovely and the owners had a little fire pit you could relax and read a book in front of in the evening.
Review 82:My spouse is moderately handicapped and our apartment unit did not have grab bars in the newly renovate shower. We are usee to working around this isssue and it was a minor inconvenience.
Review 83:Location combined with sufficient seclusion to separate from the hustle and bustle of the North Conway mainstreet. An island of 1850's charm fully modernizes without losing the relaxed feeling of stepping back in time to a more relaxed and slow paced way of life.
Review 84:The hotel's motto - "home away from home" - is very true. It is clear that Eddie and Christopher take a lot of effort to make this place not just another hotel. Their care for detail and personal touch is felt in every corner and there is a nice combination between modern and traditional, taking pride in the history of the Inn. Both the private and public spaces are pleasant and inviting. Last but not least - breakfast is excellent. We would very much recommend.
Review 85:The Inn is cozy and immaculate with great service, superb breakfasts and a friendly staff that makes your stay feel like you are part of their family.
Review 86:Great location, friendly Innkeepers. Handled very well minor problem with our original room, we were given a better room for first night until the problem was fixed. Good breakfast. Nice back yard with pool and tables and seats. We will stay here again if we ever revisit White Mountains.
Review 87:The proprietors at Cranmore Inn created an unforgettable atmosphere. They were kind, friendly and hospitable. The Inn is lovely and very well-situated right in the North Conway village. The backyard patio with evening campfire is welcoming and we chose to have supper there two of three nights after long hikes. It felt like home. The price is very reasonable and I would definitely stay there again.
Review 88:Creaky staircase next to our room which had us hear everyone moving up & down. Very small room that didn't allow us to move around freely and easily.
Review 89:Immaculate, friendly, eager to please & make our stay pleasant, Innkeepers provided a homelike atmosphere.
Review 90:Great, home cooked breakfast? Owner provided little extra that made such a difference, like real milk for tea. Character home beautifully decorated in period furniture.
Review 91:Eddie was a fantastic host who made us feel very welcomed. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was really good. Overall a very enjoyable stay at Cranmore Inn.
Review 92:It is only a block from the downtown area and so it does get some traffic noise. If you are looking for a secluded hideaway, this is not it.
Review 93:Enjoyed the pool and hot tub, which are well maintained and clean. Room was clean and nicely appointed. Proprietors and staff were excellent. Nightly fire pit was nice. Breakfast was good. Location is perfect if you want to be able to walk to restaurants and shops.
Review 94:No negative comments warranted
