Reviews for Gratz Park Inn

Review 1:I should have done more research before booking or called directly to book our room. We were on an anniversary weekend and our room had 2 queens with temperpedic mattresses which I dislike. There was nothing to indicate room service or ice machine or vending. No "do not disturb" signs.

Review 2:I loved the historic building.

Review 3:Adjusting the water temp was hard - it went from warm to cold - unexpectedly. Needs a full-length mirror.

Review 4:The location--it was very convenient to walk to Rupp Arena. I enjoyed being in the midst of the old buildings. The breakfast at the restaurant was delicious. The seasonal decorations were attractive.

Review 5:The only negative was the bathroom- very poor water pressure, hardly enough to wash your hair. Rust stains around the drain made it look unclean.

Review 6:Great location, parking, restaurant, quiet room - all were as advertised.

Review 7:My side of the bed was a little uneven, slanting me toward the middle, although it was a very comfortable bed overall.

Review 8:Great quiet location (we were going to Rupp Arena and loved that we could walk). The Inn itself is beautiful and our room was especially nice. Large bathroom was a plus. Bar was small and intimate and bartenders were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Review 9:Although the rest of the room was very nice, the tub/shower and faucets were in desperate need of renovation/repair.

Review 10:The room was gorgeous and spacious. The location was perfect to walk around downtown Lexington and enjoy the bars and restaurants.

Review 11:We booked this hotel because booking.com showed a 3pm checkout time. I called the same evening to confirm with the hotel. As it turns out, my pregnant wife became ill with a stomach bug and ended up sleeping in the room for most of our stay. Upon our check out date, my wife was awakened by a very rude desk clerk who told her that if she wasn't out of the room by noon, we would be charged a half day. My wife called me in tears and told me what happened. When I called the clerk, she was very argumentative until I told her I would need to talk to management. She said she would charge me and that their check out was at noon. I pleaded my case and referred her to booking.com's page, where she then saw that the information showed a 3pm check out. The clerk said she would not charge me and did apologize, but it certainly was not enough to make up for the stress that was put upon my sick and pregnant wife. I still have not heard from management. This ruined what was otherwise a good trip.

Review 12:Location, hotel charm, and breakfast were great

Review 13:Room was very small, poorly lit, and the a/c was deafening. Some wall sconces or other lighting would have helped a lot. TV was small and mounted too high on the wall for comfortable viewing.

Review 14:Location, great bar & restaurant staff, comfort of bed, good wifi

Review 15:Wifi did not work with my laptop; other devices worked fine; I suspect there was device limit, but desk staff didn't seem to know

Review 16:Very comfortable bed and very good location with ample free parking

Review 17:This is not the fault of the Gratz, but walking back to the motel we incountered a drunk young man. Luckily a bus came down the street at the same time and the kid ran. The staff helped us, locked their doors and called the police!!!!

Review 18:The staff was most helpful!

Review 19:The bathrooms are okay. They could use an update, however they are very clean and have everything you would want. Just outdated.

Review 20:The staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking is convenient and you are in walking distance of everything downtown. Very quiet at night. The beds are top of the line. We will be staying again.

Review 21:The breakfast is poor. The room is in the basement, no windows , and all clothes stink when you get breakfast there.

Review 22:Nice Flair and location. The restaurant is good.

Review 23:The bed was so comfortable. Location was perfect.

Review 24:The staff was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back.

Review 25:The candy in the vending machine was old and past expiration date.

Review 26:The room had a homey feel. Very comfortable.
