Reviews for Rivergreen Resort

Review 1:The beds are very uncomfortable. There was a bag of trash in the hallway for 3 days straight.

Review 2:We liked the pool/jacuzzi. We liked the proximity to views and attractions. We liked the spa tub, fridge and microwave in the room. Very friendly staff.

Review 3:hard to find, no signs on major road.Major construction going on right next to hotel. Asked for a room away from site but was placed on the side by the construction. Mid--week stay with few people.... TV remote did not work, no one at desk when we discovered the issue.

Review 4:This is not a hotel. It is a ski lodge. I did not realize that it was not a regular hotel. The room was large and clean with a nice kitchen, but obviously is a time share rental, with a Murphy bed. I should have researched more info on the facility. The staff gave us excellent service.

Review 5:Location is very good.

Review 6:Wish it had a fire pit or central social place outdoors for families to gather. There is a beautiful great room with fire place but it was summer and we weren't going to turn on the fire place, but the AC was cranked up and it was uncomfortably cold in the great room. I'm sure the staff would have tried to help or encouraged the use of the fire place if we had asked. Also our unit had a peculiar smell upon entering. We got used to it, but it felt like months of cooking without really Fabreezing or laundering the curtains.

Review 7:Fantastic indoor pool AND Jacuzzi, very centrally located, beautiful views, supremely family friendly.

Review 8:Our room was too small.

Review 9:TheThe "GREAT" room next to the pool & jacuzzi with pool table, fire place & big screen TV with pine rocking chairs out looking the picture windows.

Review 10:The bed was not a queen as stated. The room was dirty. Was supposed to be hotel but never came to pick up in between. Pool was very dark at night. Could not find lights to make brighter think bulb blew. Got rash from pool. Too hot for a pool. Overall just not a hotel experience.

Review 11:No Grill/Bar Pull down beds need updating. Room odor (as if it hadn't been aired out in a while...) Facility windows and green mold need addressing.

Review 12:Location and helpful staff when asked a question.

Review 13:Costing nearly 400 dollars to stay 2 nights with no room/cleaning service and a pull-down bed that had a comfort level comparable to my coffee table. Make sure you take your garbage out when you check out to help out with keeping the prices down

Review 14:I didn't like the dirty hot tub and I talked to a couple that said they stayed a month earlier and it was dirty then too.

Review 15:I loved the river in the back of the hotel.

Review 16:some sort of breakfast.

Review 17:swimming in the river behind the building, the pool, the quietness, the convience to town and activities. Nicely kept. Friendly welcome and info at checkin.

Review 18:Our room had a pull out bed from the wall..didnt know that during booking or I wouldnt have booked that room. The staff did not talk to us all weekend and our room was never serviced.

Review 19:Only bit of a drawback was the towel situation. They do not have room service or housekeeping during your stay to keep the price low. You do have to get additional towels and pool towels from the front desk but it wasn't too much of an inconvenience.

Review 20:The location of the hotel off the main street was very convenient for our plans. You could walk to the river. The pool was well maintained and the little game room, great room, laundry/exercise space were useful. Overall, the hotel seemed well maintained.

Review 21:Resort could use some cleaning and updating. Room was clean but common area window, elevator window was covered with cob webs aND furniture was dusty.

Review 22:Location was walking distance to Main St.

Review 23:The web page for the room reserved stated the the roomaccommodations were one king bed and one queen Murphy bed the bedswere both queen beds!No hand rails for entering and exiting the shower! Bathroom lighting was not very bright making shaving difficult

Review 24:The resort was quiet as we hoped! The staff were friendly, helpfuland polite!

Review 25:Need some updating. Older resort.

Review 26:Pool and hot tub were nice. There was a small library with books and board games. Only stayed one night and it was very affordable for the area.

Review 27:Came back from a busy day to find that the beds were not made & bathroom not freshened up. Breakfast area hard to find with no signage to point you in the right direction. We must have missed that memo ;) Otherwise, a nice stay.

Review 28:Nice place with a grand entrance ... Very Clean and quiet.

Review 29:said was a double room /2 double beds. Was a single room! the mattres was real old, sheetes did not fit bed, pillows real flat, nothing to say good about this place or it's staff

Review 30:not too much

Review 31:Hot tub was terrific - wish pool temperature was a bit warmer.

Review 32:Wonderful location - close to Loon Mt for ski trip! Shuttle service is quite convenient. Great Activity Room with fireplace, tv, pool table, and impressive mountain view has comfy seating and tables for many guests!

Review 33:Indoor Swimming pool too cold for winter months. Website did not specify a refrig was in room. Had I known that we could've brought things for that. Beds not comfortable. Hallways very cold.

Review 34:Clean, location, jacuzzi bath in room

Review 35:Great place to stay. It's a little dated, but kept up very well. The kids had a blast in the pool. The great room was so nice to sit and have coffee. I would definitely stay again.

Review 36:Kitchen needs a bit of updating. Would be good to have a half bath on main floor. Exercise room also needs an update but was well equipped

Review 37:Accommodating staff willing to help make our stay extremely pleasant. Great view of the river and mountains from the spa!

Review 38:Small thin pillows. I think my neck still hurts. Construction on the property to the west. Lots of backup beepers early in the morning.

Review 39:Location and fall colors.

Review 40:Would stay there again and again. Good value and clean facilty !

Review 41:Location of the resort was perfect. Staff was so informative and welcoming upon arrival. Detailed all the ammenities and local attractions.

Review 42:Hardest bed I've ever tried to sleep on, didn't know ahead of time that it was a bed that folded into the wall. Television was very small.

Review 43:Centrally located. Kitchen was great. Cozy room. Nice pool/hotub.

Review 44:The rooms were small and no thrills and staff could of been more friendly. We ran into someone making the coffee and asked if there was milk and he acted like he didn't even work there, but he did.

Review 45:Hot tub and location

Review 46:Horrible place. It looked ok from the outside but the room was run down, dirty and dreary. I didn't want to lay on the bed or shower. The whole town was a disappointment.

Review 47:There is no sign on the main road for river green resort. It just says south peak. We drove by at first and had to search for it.

Review 48:The location of the resort is perfectly situated on the river. Such gorgeous views and easy access to shops and food.

Review 49:Before arrival I was informed that the room we had booked had a great view and the bathroom was huge with a jaccuzzi tub. The room had a horrible view, very small, the jaccuzzi WAS the bathroom. We were able to switch rooms and was very satisfied.

Review 50:I liked the location. It was clean. It was quiet. Friendly staff.

Review 51:the guy next door was smoking like a chimney and the smoke poured under the shared door into our room. the internet rarely to never worked.

Review 52:location was ok

Review 53:I got the wrong size bed. (my fault) I was too focused on the Jacuzzi tub. The tub was the bomb even my husband loved it.

Review 54:close to everything but still secluded. Loved the tub

Review 55:Even though our room was nonsmoking, we could still smell it in the bathroom-- not sure if it was coming through the vents or what.

Review 56:It was a great location-- walking distance to restaurants and a short drive to hike.

Review 57:Murphy beds are the not most comfortable. I think that's just Murphy beds. There are so better than sofa beds, that's for sure

Review 58:My husband and I got engaged there 25 years ago and we keep going back because the value for your money is the best. It clean and friendly and centrally located. We have Never been unhappy staying here in 25 years!

Review 59:toliet ran first night bedding was lumpy no bed made no garbage take out the pool was as far as you could get from our room

Review 60:location was great the pool was nice the check in lady at the front desk was very nice

Review 61:The fact that the hotel charged undisclosed fees (amounting to $8.5/room/night) on top of the disclosed fees on top of the advertised price on booking.com, so our room price went up 15% over the expected 15%. booking.com promised to resolve the issue but did not.

Review 62:The place was nice, we rented to adjoining rooms, one with kitchen, one without, which served us very well. The pool was nice and the sports/game facilities in the basement were an unexpected plus.

Review 63:I honestly cant say I have anything negative to write here. I guess i could say I didn't like having to leave......

Review 64:Have always stayed in cottages while vacationing in White Mtns. Took a chance with RiverGreen and am SO happy I did! location, kitchen facilities, staff, and price. They all get A+++ They have earned themselves a repeat visitor.

Review 65:The pull down bed was very uncomfortable. Communication: if I did nothave the same kind of climate control in my home I would not of knownhow to turn on the a/c because we were not told. The horseshoe pitswere great except they should be covered when not in use or fenced in toprevent someone from getting hurt real bad. People playing volleyballout in the area could of fell on a pin and gotten tragically hurt.

Review 66:The staff was great!! The layout of the rooms. The kitchenette.

Review 67:The bathroom was a bit small. The room was a bit outdate, but clean so it worked for the price we paid. I wasn't crazy about the pull down bed from the wall.

Review 68:The location was fabulous! The kitchen was nice as was the layout of the room.

Review 69:Bed was a little old but still comfortable enough to get to sleep. I'm not crazy about the Jacuzzi tub, rather have a regular one.

Review 70:great location and the room was clean. Good TV with a DVD player.

Review 71:would be nice to have bigger flat screen tv for size of living room (but there is also LCD in the bedroom which is nice)

Review 72:We had 1 bedroom condo unit so- comfortable retractable/murphy dbl bed in living room modern spacious clean rooms fully equipped kitchen w/ dishwasher A/C in living room whisper quiet indoor pool and hot tub

Review 73:It smelled a little musty in the rooms, they definitely need new carpets. It was a little odd that they had "condo fees," apparently this hotel/resort has sold some rooms to private owners. Not huge negatives though. Worth it for the price.

Review 74:The indoor pool was nice, we spent a lot of time there. There was also a fireplace in a common-room which you could just flip on if you wanted to. I really enjoyed that. It's a good location, right in downtown, so you're walking distance from food.

Review 75:POOR MAINTENANCE ONE LIGHT IN THE BATHROON IS BUSTED, ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS EXPOSED SPECIALLY WITH KIDS(USES EXTENSION CORDS FOR OUTLETS) FOUND SOME HAIR STRANDS UNDER BLANKETS IT SEEMS THE SHEETS WERE NOT CHANGE. COFFE MAKER IN THE BATHROOM?

Review 76:LOCATION, BIG BATHROOM,

Review 77:That the room was small and that they don't clean room daily. You have to bring your dirty towels and pool towels to hamper next to front desk and ask for new towels:(

Review 78:The pool area was beautiful so was the very large common area. My family enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub in our room.

Review 79:The location was behind the shopping center overlooking what looked like a gravel pit. We needed to change rooms as the window was broken in our first room. Many of the rooms overlook a parking lot and we were interested in the view to the mountains, which we ultimately got.

Review 80:THE staff was very friendly and accommodating. The facility was clean and comfortable nice pool good great room, and accessible to the local town of Lincoln.

Review 81:No maid service even though we weren't time share renters extra fees for things we didn't use maybe if we had a family and were staying longer... ice machine problems - maybe they need more than one beds a little hard

Review 82:Nice people, good pool nice great room- looks like you could play pool , horseshoes etc. clean rooms plenty of local info in lobby elevator

Review 83:Bed hard as a rock, like sleeping on plywood. Could hear everything going on in room next door, including bathroom sounds! Lady at desk upon check in was very rude. I had my reservation paper in hand with a price on it but she said that was not the price and proceeded to charge me more, didn't even want to look at my reservation slip. They had already charged my card for the first night and all additional charges and refused to refund if I cancelled do to the difference...was stuck. She blamed Booking.com for the error and also said that one of the additional charges was an $8.50 fee charged by Booking.com

Review 84:Room was nice, clean. Pool and hot tub were nice. Night before we left, the lady at desk did call and tell me I would receive a refund at checkout for the additional fees which she blamed on Booking.com. I guess she redeemed herself for her rudeness upon check-in

Review 85:Wifi not so great...

Review 86:Great location and good facilities for kids and family. Shuttle service to mountain is key.

Review 87:The bed was very uncomfortable. Also our room was never cleaned.

Review 93:Spa tub was very nice!

Review 94:Run down hotel. Needs a serious upgrade.

Review 95:No place to sit at a desk or table Also no fitted sheet Small in size

Review 96:The spa tub, except for water leaking out thru drain plug.

Review 97:Bathroom smelt like someone had been smoking in there for years. Just horrible. Beds were like rock.

Review 98:Close to loon mountain

Review 99:A bit dated, but the cost reflects this.

Review 100:Great value for the money, clean and good location

Review 101:The beds seemed a little short and wifi was intermittent.

Review 102:The swimming pool and hot tubs were excellent.

Review 103:Proximity to Loon Mtn. For the Highland games.

Review 104:I did not try breakfast so I can not rate it. I can't think of anything I didn't like about my stay.

Review 105:Pool, spa & jacuzzi bath in room.

Review 106:The place could use a little updating

Review 107:Nice place for families. My son liked the pool and game room.

Review 108:the construction next door

Review 109:Clean, quiet, very nice location, we enjoyed having a kitchen and separate bedroom

Review 110:A little expensive for amenities.

Review 111:Great location, liked having a kitchen & 2 bathrooms.

Review 112:the rooms were to small,we had a single room

Review 113:pool and jaccuzi, friendliness of staff

Review 114:Just coffee, no breakfast

Review 115:Everything is here but dated

Review 116:The room was very spacious but all/everything is dated/older.

Review 120:size of apartment good

Review 121:Air conditions popped and crackled all night

Review 122:Facility seemed "on It" clean and neat

Review 123:Everything

Review 124:room has a refrigerator, microway, cofeemaker, but don,t have table and chear

Review 125:pool, hot tube

Review 126:Smokey odor

Review 127:Close proximity to main attractions.

Review 128:The rather tired state of the hotel.

Review 129:The location and proximity to reasonable skiing and a nice little town with decent restaurants.

Review 130:It was like staying in a shoe box with a rock for a bed.

Review 131:facilities are very outdated
