Reviews for The Hotel Telluride

Review 1:I was charged to move rooms when I complained about the construction outside of our original room. I feel they should have covered that regardless of the room being larger. It was also hard to find someone or get attention at the front desk unless you called.

Review 2:Had to move rooms due to the construction outside our original room. The new room was beautiful and spacious. Location is great, good food in the restaurant.

Review 3:Turns out - No Restaurant -No Shuttle Service and almost all other amenities were curtailed due to off season booking. If they told anyone in the booking process ..... it must have been in the fine print. Front desk personnel blamed booking.com for not letting everyone know and for frequently overselling capacity. Pretty disappointing to discover no breakfast included as we thought, not even a restaurant. Disappointed.... too bad service didn't match expectations.

Review 4:Aesthetics excellent. Cleanliness Very Good.

Review 5:I like to take the stairs, which were a bit like walking up the stairs of a parking garage or hospital rather than a nice hotel.

Review 6:Location was awesome. Walking distance to shops, food, coffee, trails, etc. the hotel even had complimentary bikes to cruise around on. Hot tubs were nice and exercise room was sufficient for a place with so many good reasons to go outside.

Review 7:The hotel was advertised on Booking.com as being 11.3 miles from Ouray, Colorado. Sadly it is an hour drive! The hotel needs updating with windows not working properly, no screens on the windows, theadbare sofa, black goo hardened (I suspect gum) on the sheets, four tissues in the tissue box. It is a great town and the people in the hotel were nice but the rooms were not up to the standard expected at that time of year in a ski resort.

Review 8:No breakfast was disappointing, we like to grab something to eat and take it back to the room to enjoy

Review 9:Room was comfortable, staff was outstanding( Sarah, Heather, Ethan, Patrick), view from room

Review 10:The restaurant was little and had difficulties in coping with demand one evening. I think it was off season

Review 11:Nice room, very service minded staff and great hall to meet up with friends

Review 12:For the money - I stayed in a Comfort Inn in Farmington that hadyou beat. Sorry.... 1. Just because it is Telluride I know thingsare expensive and it was my choice to pick your motel. 2. Chargingyour guests to park there doesn't seem right considering theprice of the room.

Review 13:The view was amazing from the room. The motel inside lobby was very niceand the staff was great to help! Despite the things I didn't like Iwould probably stay there again.

Review 14:Nothing....

Review 15:It was the absolute best place for our stay in Telluride. We enjoyed the short walks to shops and restaurants. The hotel is ideal for a true get-a-way..... We will return.....

Review 16:Beautiful room. Bed was very comfortable the shower was fantastic. Excellent hot water and water pressure. The staff was very helpful and cordial. Beautiful common areas.

Review 17:The hotel should expand the bar area.

Review 18:Ron was amazing and so very accommodating. The staff would do anything to make our stay perfect. We loved this hotel!

Review 19:$60 automatically added to charges each day for 'incidentals' and removed if you don't use it. Need well-lit instructions by hot tubs.

Review 20:Nook restaurant was fabulous. Front desk staff informed and anxious to help in any way. Very pet friendly. Lovely rooms! We will return.

Review 21:Stayed here one week before slopes opened so the "crowd" had not arrived yet but the hotel was the perfect location for us! Great food, rooms, service, and facility!

Review 22:The great pet accomodations come at a price. Paying for the two dogs to stay almost cost as much as getting them their own room ($50/nt/dog). Paid parking as well. Typical for a higher end resort, but expect to pay for the little bells and whistles at checkout.

Review 23:One of the most pet friendly hotels in one of the most pet friendly towns! Entering the hotel, we were surprised to see our dogs' names on a little chalkboard letting everyone know they were there. Half of the shops downtown (just a short walk from the hotel) had dog bowls set out so walkers could water their beasts. Very, very beautiful hotel, town, and experience!

Review 24:That we had to leave! Will be back soon! A definite recommended place on our list!!!

Review 25:Loved the bed! Best night sleep ever! Location was perfect and the staff was the best! We hit the Aspen's at the peak of the fall season so the view from our room and thru out Telluride was awesome and breathtaking! Joe and LInda Dugger Coronado, CA

Review 26:Coffee, tea, hot chocolate in the lobby with fireplace, very cosy. My dog was welcomed and his name was at the front desk on a chalkboard as were others dogs names that were visiting. Definitely will return!

Review 27:"The Nook" is an understatement. The bar/restaurant area is small and gets crowded quickly during breakfast. Fortunately you can take your food/drink to the beautiful, comfortable and expansive lobby right outside the restaurant area.

Review 28:Beautiful hotel, conveniently located and the staff could not have been friendlier ... to us and our two dogs. We can't wait to go back!

Review 29:No parking available and the night desk clerk was not customer service oriented what so ever. Not a good first impression. We were given free drink coupons but were ignored at our table and eventually just left. The King Deluxe room was nice but for the price very small.

Review 30:The hot tub and steam shower were lovely. The ambiance in the hotel lobby was wonderful, very inviting. The shuttle drivers were friendly and prompt.

Review 31:Shower was old and not functioning properly, needs replacement. Parking in the hotel costs $20 / night, but there is enough street parking in the neighboring streets.

Review 32:Location is perfect. Hotel is cozy and inviting. Our room was good size and very comfortable, with nice sitting area and small kitchenette. Bed and pillows were great, slept very well. Staff is professional and efficient. Enjoyed our stay and would come back without hesitation.

Review 33:Small balcony. My room faced street and was on side by high school so a little noisy to sit on balcony in afternoon and relax

Review 34:Pillow menu. Room kitchen. breakfast Buffet, Cookies in Lobby.

Review 35:They did not clean our room and when we requested at least clean glassware it was never brought up to our room. Upon checkout I mentioned this and the person did comp our parking fee. The previous time I stayed I did not have any issues.

Review 36:Location is great. Rooms are spacious. Beds are comfortable. Staff are generally really helpful and friendly.

Review 37:Not much....great stay in Telluride.

Review 38:Great deck with our room!! Loved the Aveda tolietries. Cozy and clean. Loved the beverage station in the lobby. Hotel staff is cheerful and helpful.

Review 39:Nothing

Review 40:Staff are extremely welcoming and kind. Very pet friendly and really go the extra mile to make sure your stay is the best. Restaurant is excellent. Enjoyed the bicycles they offered for a cruise through town and the riverfront. A must stay in Telluride!

Review 48:From the time we checked in at the front desk, until we checked out, the staff was very courteous and helpful.

Review 78:Room FILLED with airborne dust. Breakfast not included.

Review 79:Nook The shuttle

Review 80:Way too expensive Staff, while polite, didnt seem well trained

Review 81:Close to downtown Attractive lobby Clean rooms Comfortable

Review 82:We could hear the guests in the room above ours when they walked around. It was a bit noisy at times.

Review 83:Hotel room was clean and spacious. Location was great. Because we were there in the off season the room was well priced, but restaurant wasn't open.

Review 84:Garage parking a bit tight, but nice to be indoors.

Review 85:Good in-town location and beautiful facility. Nice lobby, lots of comfortable couches and chairs. Free glass of wine upon check-in, plus helped us to get an early check-in.

Review 86:Room was not cleaned after the first night and sheets were not changed during our whole stay. Would have preferred a duvet over sheets, the room could get quite cold during the night.

Review 87:Quiet location, good walking distance from the centre of town, beautiful interior, great junior suite, good facilities, very friendly drivers that brought us and picked us up from the gondola.

Review 88:Only negative was the walk from the fitness center to the outdoor hot tub which was trecherous considering the ice on the wooden deck leading to the tub. I could definitely see someone slipping and getting hurt pretty easy. Perhaps some type of material that would counteract the ice on the surface of the deck might be a good solution.

Review 89:Hotel staff was very helpful and courteous, helped out with dining reservations in town while we were skiing as the Christmas Holidays we found out is very difficult to 'walk in' to a restaurant without a reservation. The hotel had several courtesy shuttles to take us to/from the ski Gondola or virtually any where we wanted to go in town regardless of the time of day. The rooms were very nicely appointed and beds clean and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend the Hotel to anyone visiting Telluride and plan on staying there during our next visit.

Review 90:Breakfast should be included and i was expecting an indoor swimming pool in the hotel.

Review 91:The coziness of the hotel made us feel warm after a cold day full of outdoor activities. The room is comfortable. Staff is courteous and helpful. I definitely stay there when I come back.

Review 92:Everything! What a great place! Beautiful view from our room of the ski mountain, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Had a wonderful time.

Review 93:The dog fee is somewhat steep

Review 94:We brought a little dog and we where impressed with the dog friendly staff and that we where able to bringJuniper into the lobby and enjoy a glass of wine there as well as having a little snack......that was super !

Review 95:Breakfast was a bit limited and a bit expensive. Parking was expensive

Review 96:We were staying in Telluride for the bluegrass festival. A bluegrass band was playing in the hotel foyer every morning and early evening which set the atmosphere well. The hotel was about 20 minutes' walk from the festival grounds in a quiet location, but close to all the shops/bars. The hotel provided a free shuttle service as well which was very useful. Rooms were good if a little small, and you have to pay top price during festival time.

Review 97:Nice lobby

Review 98:Housekeeping staff limited in English. Patio door would not lock.

Review 99:Courteous and helpful staff.

Review 100:On site parking expensive, few alteratives
