Reviews for Goodearth Hotel
Review 1:This time we had rooms on the 7th floor by the lifts which was disturbing. We will be requesting certain rooms when we book again.
Review 2:The staff were very helpful at all times. The restaurant meals have àlways been very good and good value.
Review 3:The front desk staff were having a loud laugh and joke about another guest while I was checking in. I found them to be unprofessional. The hotel is run down and shabby.
Review 4:We were going to the cricket so the location of the hotel was convenient to the WACA.
Review 5:The staffs are busy talking. Didin't recognised us till both me and hubby are standing staring at them. The guy receptionist is arogant. Got my second name listed instead of first when was booked. Not sure why. He didn't handle it professionally. Like he is complaining about it. Well not my fault as this is the first time I have booked and got my name wrong. So noisy on the floor we were in. Guy next to us very loud tv and singing loudly. Talking to another guy in the corridor with loud voices. And we have a very early flight so need to rest up. the toilet is tiny. The room is good size but they shld adjusted the toilet abit to the whole room just so knees is not touching the door when seated.
Review 6:Good room size
Review 7:1. breakfast dining area could have been a bit better (i.e. table cloths on the tables for the breakfast serving, cutlery at the tables). 2. The passages leading to the rooms were extremely hot & humid.
Review 8:1. Spacious rooms 2. Good location 3. Maps available for tourists to get around the city.
Review 9:How can a hotel do without air conditioning? That's Terrible. We were sleeping with mosquitoes throughout the whole stay and the whole family was bitten by mosquitoes!
Review 10:None actually!
Review 11:Staff came across as arrogant and unhelpful Parking situation could use improvement had to park across the road at another hotel
Review 12:Located close to the Swan River
Review 13:Hotel in need of upgrading but well kept and very well cleaned. staff extremely helpful and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable bed. Food and service in restaurant excellent, good value. Great pleasure stopping there.
Review 14:Rooms, view.
Review 15:Friendly staff, old and very small rooms, old hotel, buildings under construction around. Not sure to understand the notice sticked on the lift.
Review 16:there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms and we had to keep the bedroom doors open to get some of the cold air from the hall air conditioner in. Ridiculous in summer!
Review 17:It was in a nice location And good breakfast spread
Review 18:Key opened a other room so we ended up in someone else room. Also receiving s noise complaint at 5pmon New Years Eve when all we had on was the tv
Review 19:The buffet breakfast
Review 20:Lack of parking facilities at the hotel itself, not happy having to park across the road open to the weather
Review 21:Restaurant and staff both at reception and restaurant were very good
Review 22:There are construction activities beside the building. Becomes noisey after 7am. If you are an early riser then it shd not be a problem. There is only 1 toilet for our apartment of 5.
Review 23:Great location, spacious rooms and reasonable quality breakfast. Great value for money!
Review 24:A bit of noise from the construction next door Kettle is too old and dirty. Definitely need replacement.
Review 25:Spacious one room apartment unit. Transperth bus station within walking distance to commute to any locations in Perth city. Buses from Perth Airport (no. 37 & 40 from domestic terminal 3 & 4 and no. 308 from international terminal 1 & 2) pass through the hotel.
Review 26:the room given different from what was shown on booking.com website snooty hotel staff at the front desk excellent housekeeping staff though room facing some kind of construction sites no day curtains
Review 27:location - quite close to the city centre, CAT bus outside the hotel, Rise a 24-hour supermarket right next door, halal kebab nearby, Langley park at the back
Review 28:They have lied about their parking they could have mentioned that they have limited parking.
Review 29:They give client guide about different locations and transport google map incided
Review 30:Had trouble finding reception from Adelaide Terrace. Room 201 felt like someone had died in there and there was construction happening next door so we couldn't open the windows, there was dust everywhere, And an above regulation step into the tiny bathroom. Room 302 had an exhaust fan in the bathroom that doesn't work, the kitchen benches are scorched and peeling, the lamp on the lounge desk is showing electrical cabling, powerpoint in masterbedroom is hanging off wall and the room was not vaccuumed or dusted properly, there was mould in the shower and the windows swung 360 degrees making it a hazard for children to full out onto the pavement below.
Review 31:The buffet breakfast in Adelaide's on the terrace was delicious! The chef and waiters were very polite and helped me choose egg free foods (I am anaphylactic to eggs).
Review 32:Old rooms, saggy beds, cracked tiles. Very basic kitchen. Cramped with four people, for a two bedroom apt. BEWARE of getting scalded in shower as the hot surges on and off.
Review 33:Very friendly staff, rooms were cleaned well, great breakfast, free parking, great location.
Review 34:Rented a van. Parking space is limited. Not very good. No free parking for hotel stayers. Have to pay to park.
Review 35:The place is well located. Very convenient.
Review 36:Tiny bathroom - very very cramped even for entry. Bathroom is due for an overhaul. Mine was nothing like the pictures. The bathroom size is disproportionate to the room size. Very musty smell was noticed when I entered the room which wasn't very appealing.
Review 37:Overall the value was very good. I paid around $120 for the smaller sized double bed apartment. This is Perth where high prices were once the norm though things have settled down lately. I'm from country WA and would stay in a Perth Hotel maybe 6-8 times a year mostly for work. Perth CBD hotel pricing has almost halved in two years I would say. It is very competitive now because of spare capacity. Simply supply and demand. Great location especially if you have a car. Lots of free street parking after 6PM just outside the hotel. I had no drama parking my car straight outside the hotel on Adelaide Terrace though the car needs to be moved on by 07:30AM the next morning. I choose this area of the CDB (Adelaide Tce) for this very reason of easy street parking. I've stayed at many nearby hotels for the same reason. Helpful staff. The reception area has everything you need close-by. Free WiFi which worked quite well not that I used it much - I pretty much just used the room for sleeping and was out and about the rest of my time. Only stayed for one night. Room size was good (bathroom excluded) and comfort was OK. I was on level 5 (out of 7).
Review 38:Not enough milk capsules or coffee sachets provided. the coffee was nice but the tiny milk pods could've been bigger. Maybe a small 250ml carton instead?
Review 39:The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Loved the restaurant downstairs and the awesome steak sandwiches!
Review 40:staff is unpleasant and not particularly helpful interiors are pretty grim and tired breakfast closes at 9am car park was full when we arrived
Review 41:Nothing
Review 42:View over building site not great restaurant not great (although because they didn't have the things we wanted from the menu we left before wating)
Review 43:Location size of room facilities in room fridge microwave ding table and chairs Friendly staff
Review 44:room was huge but design was all wrong with the bed pushed sideways almost on the wall under the window, chairs for tv viewing were uncomfortable ,room badly designed too much wasted space
Review 45:location was excellent, have stayed there previously, would recommend the hotel to family and friends
Review 46:I recently stayed at the Goodearth Hotel for 6 nights on a trip that was both business and pleasure. Not only was the hotel conveniently located and clean, but most importantly the staff were fabulous! They went out of their way to make my trip a great experience and accommodate any requests I had. Thanks!
Review 47:The room was very nice and the staff were extremely helpful. We had an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant. I was surprised at how very good it was as hotel meals are often uninspiring. Highly recommended.
Review 48:Noisy children in corridor at 6.15am Sunday morning, but not much hotel can do about that, parents responsibility...........
Review 49:Quick early check in, location and breakfast lovely
Review 50:For a few nights of our 11 night stay we were on the side of the building in progress site.
Review 51:The position on Adelaide Terrace of Goodearth Hotel close to all the free buses was a real plus. The staff were at all times friendly and helpful, and we were impressed with the cleanlinesss of our room. The breakfasts were excellent, many varieties of food to choose from.
Review 52:That there was no smoking allowed on balcony - I was not told about breakfast being included
Review 53:Definately the location. Cost was cheaper through booking.com than through hotel direct
Review 54:The reception staff for extremely helpful we had mistakenly booked two single beds and they gave us an excellent upgrade at no extra cost. We were attending the acdc concert and the hotel also had transport available
Review 55:Small sized parking bays.
Review 56:Excellent CBD location. Staff were very friendly. Bathroom was well equipped with towels, face flannel, soap, combined shampoo&conditioner, shower cap, shower/bath gel. Spacious family room suite. Kitchen had large bar fridge and cooking facilities with utilities. Mugs & cups for coffee. Restaurant was great and we could order for takeaway to our room. 24 hour reception & access to lobby shop. Washing machine & drier facilities [3 x $1 coin for wash + 3 x $1 coin for drier. $1 washing powder from reception]. Windows that opened. Close to Thrifty & Bayswater car hire companies. Well equipped information stands. Wifi is FREE.
Review 57:Despite requesting 3 days before not to be near the adjacent huge building site I was given a room immediately over it. Also the window didn't appear to be secure, when I told the receptionist I wasn't happy with the room she said aggressively 'Why?' which is not how to speak to a guest! As I was booked for 8 nights it was bad hotel procedure to give me one of the worst rooms in the place, apparently they couldn't move me that day but did so the following one. Kettles need renewing, they are badly stained and the element appears to be covered in verdigris.
Review 58:The fully equipped studio room which enables one to self-cater easily. There was lots of drawer space. Totally free WiFi. Location close to the river walks.
Review 59:We would have appreciated better knowledge of the staff in regards to public transport.
Review 60:Good location for getting to the railway station and good off street parking.
Review 61:It was very close to the Thrifty Car Hire depot, In fact directly across the street Stayed in room 535. and had a good view through the back overlooking the river Would stay there again if visiting Perth.
Review 62:Rooms are not very sound proof, so if there are noisy guests it can get a bit annoying
Review 63:Very good location, room equipped with a basic kitchenette that was useful for breakfast, very helpful staff who were kind enough to let me check out late after arriving on a very late flight. Facilities are fairly basic but the room had everything I needed.
Review 64:The place does need revamping.
Review 65:Staff are friendly, always there to help.great location and buses stop in front of hotel to get into city. Free parking is great but limited to availability.nice food.Great price affordable.also has a hair dresser in the hotel.
Review 66:Not sepecific, just the building is old, and the park space not enough for all, so need some luck for parking.
Review 67:Location is so good, walk to the port and city center. Staff are very kind and helpful.
Review 68:Felt like a bit of a prison cell - low ceilings and concrete walls, teeny tiny bathroom. Also the expect you to wash any dishes of theirs that you use otherwise charge a fee. There was major construction next door - very noisy.
Review 69:Lots of parking available
Review 70:Rooms and bathroom tired looking, in need of some repair. Leaking taps. Carpets need a good clean. Beds are not very comfortable. Skirting boards coming off walls. Our second stay and room allocated was better.
Review 71:Staff were great, friendly and helpful. Good location close to city central.
Review 72:Very limited parking lots. Didn't manage to park overnight for our two nights at Perth.
Review 73:The location is great... Near to hay street n the Watertown brand outlet.
Review 74:Restaurant overcharged us twice on separate transactions and upon realising their error felt it appropriate to call the room repeatedly after 9.30pm when we'd just managed to settle overexcited children. Skirting had holes in it. No air con, windows did open but no screen on them so child could easily climb on heaters and fall out the window from the 3rd floor. No parking
Review 75:Central location food was satisfactory
Review 76:The state of the room, including rising damp, musty smell from the rising damp, the toilet continually running, the air conditioner not working properly, the single beds uncomfortable.
Review 77:The location was good. The breakfast was good which was offered free due to the state of the room on arrival.
Review 78:I had a studio room. Everything besides the TV was very old. The kind of old where white plastic starts turning yellow. I felt like I was taken back in time to the 80s. The sound isolation extremely poor. I could literally hear everything from the room next to me, from conversations to the TV. The room was fairly clean though.
Review 79:Good location, right next to Langley park, perfect if you want to enjoy a beautiful sunset stroll.
Review 80:The urinal on the ground floor needs a major cleanup Totally out of line with the rest of the Hotel which was excellent
Review 81:Staff friendliness The Green bus service is right there and free Close to the Swan river
Review 82:The air conditioner had a system of moving Led lights on it's temperature guage that were annoying at night
Review 83:Comfortable bed Handy location Staff were very helpful Wifi worked well
Review 84:The rooms are pretty old and not well lit. Could do a lot better with some renovations.
Review 85:The location is good. The staff is friendly. Value for money with ample space for the amount charged.
Review 86:We were here for 3 nights. The location is excellent, right in the centre of the City. Our room was very spacious, comfortable huge bed, wardrobe, plenty of cupboards, microwave, crockery & cutlery, 2 very comfortable chairs & table. Small bathroom, excellent shower. Room serviced daily. We dined at the Hotel for the 3 nights, two nights in the dining room and 1 night had "meal to go" in the bar/casual area. The meals on all 3 nights were delicious. All the staff we encountered were efficient, cheerful, bubbly and helpful. Would highly recommend - excellent value for money and an enjoyable stay.
Review 87:We stayed one night in a two bedroom apartment (room 319) after flying in from melbourne on our way to the south coast. It cost $275 with three of us sharing. The room was very "tired" but all we needed was a place to sleep. After finding dinner in perth we came back to the room to discover the fridge leaked, we were really just too tired to complain or change rooms. A couple of the lamps also had blown bulbs and we also found the TV wasnt tuned when we tried to use it in the morning. Parking was limited but provided free of charge (note this is first in first served). All in all wouldn't stay again for the price.
Review 88:Easy to get to from the airport
Review 89:Quiet (if room not on Hay Street), comfortable, value for money. Location goid ifvyou want the to be on the east side of the city. Approx 20 mins walk to the train station.
Review 90:Cleanliness was poor and decor cum wall paneling jaded. Carpet was blackish and worn. Door security had to implant a chair against the door at night Electric fan spoilt. Noise levels high when other customers move around especially when closing doors.
Review 91:Location
Review 92:The bed was right under the air conditioner so there was a cold draught - couldn't sleep without it going because the room got really hot.
Review 93:Central location is good. Lovely big room. Had plates and cutlery so you could eat in.
Review 94:Room was clean BUT our bathroom vanity & sink & walls behind toilet had hair in/on it...looked like it had been wiped with the same cloth (same looking hair) NO hotel carparking is a bit of a hassle & would be good if on the website it shows closest overnight/longterm carparks OR offer carparking at their sister hotel across the road.
Review 95:Front Desk personnel were lovely & accomodating. Our room was spacious, comfortable & great value for the price. We would stay again
Review 96:Location was great. Easy access to public transportation and walking distance to shopping and sights. Apartment was well equiped although a cutting board in the kitchen would have been nice.
Review 97:Very small bathroom, hard to move around in.
Review 98:Fast access to CBD. All room facilities operated well - great air conditioning and TV. Nice to have a balcony. Shower worked like a hurricane! Kitchenette simple but perfect for long stays.
Review 99:Standard of quality very disappointing. To charge for washing cups is outrageous. Asked for a view many weeks ahead and was not granted my request. Not even an apology why my request was not able to be supplied.
Review 100:Friendly staff
Review 101:air conditioner located too close to bed. too hot to turn off but very cold blowing on face all night when on.
Review 102:Our room had a medium sized fridge, stove and microwave. This was very welcome as we bought our evening meal in the afternoon and were able to heat whenever. A bonus for weary travellers who want to relax and everything you need is close at hand. Staff were lovely.
Review 103:Limited parking, first in first served, but we had no problems.
Review 104:Conveniently located in walking distance to CBD and Wharf area. On bus line out front door. Also easy to access from roads in and out.
Review 105:Wall are very thin and was kept up until 1 am with people in next room blasting their TV. Reception for TV was shocking, constantly cutting out. Stains on bed sheets. Step to bathroom is a dangerous design fault.
Review 106:Food was great and good value. Staff were really helpful and friendly.
Review 107:Housekeeping staff knocking (and entering before we had chance to answer) at 8:30 on day of departure to see when we were leaving.
Review 108:Location, with the river close by for walks, public transport outside the door and access to parking either on site or across the road in hotel from the same group. Free upgrade to a suite.
Review 109:The room was not at all what we expected! It was small and in an old condition, bathroom was also extremely small and poky. There was a lot of noise, construction going on across the road. Terrible view from balcony, looked over construction site!
Review 110:The staff were quite friendly.
Review 111:Staff were excellent, the hotel is in a fantastic location. It is just so easy to walk in and out 24/7 last time I was sharing with a friend, we just left the key at reception on our way out and picked it up if we weren't together! It was FAB
Review 112:nothing
Review 113:love everything bout this hotel, great location, clean rooms, had small kitchen in, we got up grated to 5th floor, lovely room, even thou work going on outside, both me and my hubby, use to watch how it was all going, yes they start at 7am but couldnt hear too much, didnt bother us at all, the lovely staff, so helpful, we would like to recommend Marissa, who went out of her way to help, as we were only going to stay few nites, had to stay 10 nites, and she was so helpful, lovely girl, we r going to defo stay there again, when we come back to Perth........... :)
Review 114:The bathroom was the smallest I have experienced outside a caravan or RV. The outlook from the bedroom was disappointing - a building site.
Review 115:Very helpful staff Close to public transport
Review 116:The only thing was the inconsistent shower which seemed to go from hot to cold randomly
Review 117:Great value and although basic this hotel has everything you need. It's a good location about 20 minutes walk to city centre. Good value dining options and convenient kiosk
Review 118:Location was great, close to Perth Centre, Swan River, shuttle bus from Airport to door. Hotel though not new, room was clean, comfortable, and staff were helpful re tours, cruises, etc.
Review 119:Blower in a bathroom not functioning well cause a water vapour on a mirror. Construction next door but it's not affect me since I stayed on weekend :-)
Review 120:Good place to stay. Great staff.
Review 121:The fact that there were no packages of cereals in the little "shop" I prefer an open window rather than a totally enclosed room...made me feel a bit claustrophobic.
Review 122:It was quiet and clean. The take out food was excellent.
Review 123:The rooms were a bit musty and would be greatly improved with better ventilation or being able to open the windows to get fresh air.
Review 124:The hotel was close to the city centre and on the major bus routes allowing easy travelling.
Review 125:Didnt like the rude staff contacting us two days after we had checked out a day early telling us they didnt get room keys. Keys were placed in the drop box near reception the day before originally due to check out at 8.40 as reception was closed. Many ph calls resulting in rudeness and saying they were going to charge us $40. Also tried to get a refund or a credit to use again as due to illness we had to leave a day early. Understand there is a 72 hr policy, but genuinely who knows that they need to leave then. We were happy to restay another time but wont be now.
Review 126:Every thing was first class, we stayed longer than we had thought, but it was excellent, service from front desk nothing too much trouble, food was lovely too, very easy to get into cbd, via red cat, it was very pleasant, nice and clean, and free wifi, will defo stay here again. :) :)
Review 127:My mattress is not too comfort. Can even feel the spring!!
Review 128:Room with balcony. Friendly & helpfull staff. I extend my stay for a night but wrongly choose different room type with my current stay room (via booking.com). Their staff offer me to stay at the same room without any additional charge. How lucky I am..thanks!
Review 129:Dislikes: soft bed, no in-room safe, keyed locks, air con not working, noise from neighbouring room, high step to bathroom, expensive breakfast, apparently no attempt to live up to its "green" name
Review 130:Likes: kitchenette in room, mostly polite and helpful staff, dining room with fast take-away service, free wi-fi, close to esplanade but a longish walk to jetty and city centre.
Review 131:I had expected a renovated room like the one I had on a visit 3 years ago. Was disappointed it was dated although it was clean and comfortable.
Review 132:Location and facilities
Review 133:room was facing construction site. Gets noisy as early as 7am. Wifi slow with only 500mb per password request. Need constance renewal of password.
Review 134:convenient location
Review 135:didn't have a bad experience but we had a family room on the 4th floor it was very old and dull looking and very smelly rooms need a re-vamp if you are going to ask those prices per night
Review 136:Rooms were clean and functional staff was friendly but unable to cater for people that check in around 9.00pm had to search internet to find somewhere to eat or deliver.
Review 137:Comfortable stay, good location. Good food at reasonable prices. Nice to be able to buy things from small shop area, with coffee machine and cookies available. Free Parking available
