Reviews for La Lechere Guest House

Review 1:The owner of tje place had a really bad attitude towards us and the breakfast was limited in quantity and variety. We were told the place is not suitable for children only when we checked in.

Review 2:The place is very lovely and super clean.

Review 3:It was a very nice cozy place to stay. Clean, comfotable and pretty scenery. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it if you're staying on this area.

Review 4:Wonderful place to stay. Cute, elegant, very clean and the staff was kind and excellent. The manager suggested a place to have dinner close to Phalaworba Kruger entrance which was espectacular. I will strongly recommend this place to all my family and friends.

Review 8:Wi Fi wasn't strong enough in our room and we had to go to the bathroom or outside to get a good signal

Review 9:Comfort & ambience. The owner's care, friendliness and advice.

Review 10:This was exactly what I had hoped for: peaceful, relaxed, small scale, personal attention, and of course very close to the Kruger. La Lechere delivers what it promises.

Review 11:That I don't live there!

Review 12:This is a beautiful place. It is purpose built so rather than being a B&B, I'd call it a Boutique Guest House. The design of the building is classy and clever and it really is an oasis in a very dry Phalaborwa. Our friends from the USA could not believe the value for money. It was the start of their Safari and a difficult place to beat. Thanks for creating memories.

Review 13:Internet was slow, but the town is quite remote.

Review 56:La Lechere was quite posh. The pool and grounds were beautiful, the breakfast was outstanding and the room was classy. It was a splurge for me to stay at a B & B in this price range, but it was worth it!

Review 57:Telephone should be available in the room to contact staff if needed.

Review 58:The guest house is located in a very calm place so you can relax and enjoy the sound of nature at night. Decoration and style makes you feel confortable. Very helpful and friendly staff that certainly will assist you on planning a great experience in the safari. Just 10 minutes drive to Kruger National Park.

Review 59:We had to leave after 6 days!

Review 60:All was like "feeling at Home", feeling "Chez nous! Cliff and Martina immediately made us feeling like we have been there from the beginning. They gave excellent tips about the Kruger Park and the flora and fauna. George the cook knew how to fry the best eggs ever, smiling all along the way.

Review 61:the owner is very friendly and helpful. ..the beauty of the place is breathtaking and the cherry on top is a sparkling swimming pool. they offer a great breakfast buffet as well as a warm breakfast...good value for money

Review 62:Couldn't fault it really. If I was being super picky it would have been nice to have ice in the bar but all the mixers were well chilled so can't complain.

Review 63:Very organised and highly professional. We loved the honesty bar. A stiff G and T by the pool after a long drive was just great. A very nice spot.

Review 64:The only niggle and it is a small one was the over priced red wine. Don't let that distract you from this great place just be aware.

Review 65:A superb place to stay with a very friendly and helpful welcome. Well appointed bedroom and a hearty breakfast (I saw a complaint about repetitive but the choice available meant endless possibilities??) A very comfortable bed with a great power shower and lovely soft towels.

Review 66:The double plug is blocked off with steel to prevent unplugging thealarm. Therefor one cant use the other plug ....specially the hairdryeras it is the closes to the mirror, and one cant charge cellphone with aconversion plug as the steel is in the way . only plugs available isbehind the bedside table.

Review 67:Very nice clean accommodation pool area stunning

Review 68:Friendly staff very welcoming. Great facilities and very comfortable room. Close to Phalaborwa gate for Kruger Park. On our last day we departed before breakfast and staff made up breakfast hamper for us to take with us on our journey. Highly recommended B&B.

Review 69:Barking dogs - but you get them everywhere in South Africa, nothing the hotel can do about that.

Review 70:Very close to Kruger National Park, a great place to stay if you are going into the park through Phalaborwa gate.

Review 71:I had a fabulous stay at the La Lechere Guest House. I was treated wonderfully. From the owners and the staff, the service was personal, prompt, and exceptional. The Guest House was extremely clean, well taken care of, beautifully decorated, in an amazing location - 5 minutes from Kruger National Park, and the management provided sightseeing and game drive options which they were happy to set up for me. Additionally, breakfast was excellent, and made to order -- and there were many options. I can't imagine a better place to stay.
