Reviews for Alpine Slopes Lodge

Review 1:The proximity of the resort to the ski area and town was fantastic. The mattress was a little stiff for my liking, but easy to overlook when judging the complete package. I did read comments on the thin walls in previous posts, but I did not notice that at all.

Review 2:It felt like the cheap apartment you lived in in college. Or a Motel 6.When we got there the front desk agent talked about himself for almost30 minutes. We just worked all day and drove two hours in the snow, wewere ready to get to our room, but the front desk agent wouldn'tstop talking! About nothing important, nothing related to check in, justblabbing. The walls were so thin, I didn't sleep at all. You couldhear the drunk people in the parking lot getting home from the bars, your neighbors next to you. Fellow televisions, the mini fridge in theroom that didn't even get cold was loud! The water running throughthe pipes in the walls when people flushed their toilets or turned theirshowers on was so loud. People's doors slamming on our hall, peoplecoming and going from their rooms. All just pointed back to the poorbuilt building. Don't stay here if you want to get sleep. Thecondition of the room was poor too. I felt like I was in the 1900'swith the old shower head. You can't put new shower heads in? Eventhe sink in the room, the faucet was so close to the back wall of thesink my hand kept touching it when I washed them. When we walked in theroom was pitch black and I had no idea how to turn the lights on. Thebed was as hard as a rock. The fridge was warm, my drinks I put in itwere hotter than the drinks sitting out in the room. So we got to listento a loud fridge all night that served us no purpose. The hotel had 0zero romantic feel. You don't feel at home or comfortable. Thetelevision had a horrible picture. We are in 2016 now, hd should bestandard. I couldn't believe they were still making their guestswatch sd tv. The cheap flat screen in the rooms were horrible. Wedidn't even have full function of the cable. And the breakfast...Ha! Bagels. Get real. If you're over the age of 20 and are lookingfor a nice weekend in Keystone don't stay here! Spend a little moreand stay somewhere nicer.

Review 3:The location was fine, but there are many other hotels in this samespot. I will not stay here again.

Review 4:I guess I overlooked the # of people staying when I booked this hotel. The room had two beds so I assumed it would it was fine for 4 people. When we arrived the front desk was very rude and charged an extra $20 per person per night on a room that was already overpriced.

Review 5:Beds were horrible, carpet stained, dusty, no phones, refrigerators were broken, bathroom had caulking missing, I ordered queen beds, they gave me full size which are smaller.

Review 6:Convenient to keystone ski area

Review 7:Breakfast Options.

Review 8:Overall experience was very good. Nice room, Spa and Sauna. Great location with walking distance to stores, Restaurant & Bars, rentals, lifts.

Review 9:The pictures used to sell the rooms show a lit fireplace but for the days we were there it was never lit. Would have been a nice touch to warm up by after a long day of skiing. Why have a fireplace in the winter if your not going to light it? I'd rather have a blank wall than a useless fireplace. The sauna would have been great as well but the attendant said they couldn't keep the pilot light lit due to the wind?

Review 10:The room was clean and comfortable. The flat screen was modern with a quality picture. The hot tub was usually accessible later in the evening. The fridge and microwave were useful. The moose head in the lobby was a pretty cool addition. bagels and coffee were available for breakfast.

Review 11:more than perfect for staying one night on a weekend ski trip. Value for money. Close to shopping plaza with subway, liquor store and mexican restaurant. Super close to Keystone resort.

Review 12:Staff not as friendly as usual, wifi is really bad, very seldom you get a connection. I wish they would move their breakfast to 7 am instead of 8 am, most people are gone by then.

Review 13:Great price, beds are so comfortable!

Review 14:Couldn't leave window open long due to truck traffic even well into the night, bed a little too firm for my back, breakfast minimal, cable service bare-bones basic

Review 15:Room was spacious and clean, window opened for some fresh mountain air, staff friendly, breakfast minimal but at least bagels were not the standard dense, chewy, week-old variety. They were actually quite good.

Review 16:Breakfast was bagels only to eat. The door for the bathroom made it difficult to access, really not much to complain about.

Review 17:Wonderful people and location

Review 18:When not familiar with area, not easy to find. Would like to see no elevator on description.

Review 19:Couteous staff. Feel we could have asked them anything and they would help. Appreciate changing our room from second floor to first.

Review 20:No bad experience. Just wish the rates didn't double for the ski season.

Review 21:Every time I've stayed I have had a different type of room. The last one had a kitchen and wood floors.

Review 22:Would stay here again. Nothing fancy but for the price I only care that it was clean, safe and well located. Special mention to Tom at reception, full of useful information.

Review 23:Got a really good deal during the week in summer. Weekend prices much higher. Very friendly staff. town is really small, not much going on in summer as it is rather for winter sports resort. Still you get everything you need. Mountains for hiking, lake not that far away. Awesome pizza place nearby!

Review 24:Breakfast at 8 a.m. may be good for skiers, but is a little late for hikers who want to get off the peaks before noon. Didn't realize that milk was available (wasn't mentioned in the handout), so we brought our own.

Review 25:Nice quiet, comfortable, safe place to stay. Well run operation. Good value. Great bagels.

Review 26:Chose this motel because they advertised breakfast: "An expanded continental breakfast with bagels and oatmeal is provided daily. Premium coffee, tea and juices are also available". What they didn't say was it was only available 8-10 am (my conference started at 7:30) and their policies form that I was required to sign indicated only bagels, juice, coffee, tea this time of year. I was only able to have coffee, as juice machine was locked when I went down at 7 am. I told Tom, the mgr, that my conference started at 7:30 but there was no offer to provide any food. I would have gone elsewhere after the first night but they charge 20% at time of booking & remainder 30 days prior to arrival. At 30 days prior it becomes non-refundable.

Review 27:Hot tub was nice, although only 2 of the 16 jets worked

Review 28:Housekeeping used too much deoderizer in the halls, they smelled like a sanitized locker room.

Review 29:Nice, large room, extra chairs, refrig., and microwave. The bed was very comfortable and the linens and pillows were good quality. The rooms were very quiet with no noise from the nearby Hwy 6. I will definitely be a return customer.

Review 30:The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was a bit off the beaten path but still convenient for everything. Super-friendly front desk staff!

Review 31:Nothing to complain about

Review 32:Very friendly, welcoming staff. The personal touch from the front desk, always willing to help. Good price. Included breakfast was convenient, saved money and avoided eating too much - going out for breakfast in the states always seems too heavy.

Review 33:the staff was extremely nice, the bed was as comfortable as ours at home, and the hot tub/sauna area was amazing (and we got it to ourselves!). the rooms even had a section for skis and boots. we skied at A-Basin and it was a very short drive to the resort. we will be looking in to coming back next year around this time.

Review 34:The room and the hallway smelled stale, almost like people had been smoking. The room window was wide open when we entered the room about 4pm.

Review 35:Loved the location, great price, easy access, bus route

Review 36:Location is extremely convenient to Keystone. The hot tub was large and clean. The double-double-bed room was spacious and well appointed with microwave and refrigerator.

Review 37:Can't beat the price, convenience, and smaller feel in the larger Keystone area. No frills, and different than ski lodge, but if you are more serious about skiing, than sitting in the room, it is great.

Review 38:Wi-Fi connection in my room was intermittent. Steps could be implemented to improve connection and ensure interruptions are minimal.

Review 39:Entire staff is upbeat, customer service-oriented and well-informed, offering suggestions for places to visit and restaurants in Keystone Ski Resort.

Review 40:Too bad it's hard to walk to conference center, although shuttles are plentiful, I found this a drawback.

Review 41:Great location across from Peru lift, pleasant guys at mountainview ski rental shop; Large room with microwave and fridge.

Review 42:Bathroom was a little small- the door scraped the toilet when closing and covered the toilet paper holder when open. Water pressure not great. Still a great value though

Review 43:Staff was very friendly. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious (except for the bathroom). Our room sat facing 6 but we didn't hear a lot of traffic. Breakfast was typical continental (toast, bagel, muffin, oatmeal) but definitely nice to have. Location is great- short walk to the slopes and a convenience store and a short drive to anything you need at Keystone or neighboring towns.

Review 44:wifi was virtually nonexistent. breakfast was very limited

Review 45:attentive staff. The location is perfect. has everything you need on a ski vacation. Cheapest option in keystone

Review 46:There were some issues with the WiFi when we were there.

Review 47:Firstly it's very close to the ski lifts (5 or so minute walk) and Kim and her team were SO helpful about how to make the most out of our stay, where to eat and what to do. Really can't recommend it highly enough.

Review 48:No thermostat so room gets hot or cold with no in-between. Air is extremely dry and uncomfortable. WiFi is almost unusable (slow).

Review 49:Super location for skiing - easy walk to lift or free shuttle. Front desk manager was very helpful and worked really hard. Bedding was updated and comfy.

Review 50:Stairs, we were on second floor and not having an elevator to get bags up and down was a pain

Review 51:Location was great, room was clean and staff very accommodating

Review 52:This is a great hotel located right at the base of the Leystone ski resort. Although the facility is a bit dated, it has been maintained well. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 53:Would have liked to have had a better selection for breakfast. Such as muffins, cereal, etc.

Review 54:Great location to the slopes. Very friendly staff. Clean facility.

Review 55:Nothing

Review 56:The staff was great and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The room was really nice and clean. I would highly recommend this place.

Review 57:Beds a little small, seemed like we had a full size, not a queen, but it wasn't the worst I've ever slept on.

Review 58:Great people, rooms were comfortable, a/c worked great, great view. Bedding was soft and cozy. Price was well worth it.

Review 59:The wifi was unpossible to use. Almost no internet in the room and it was no better in the lobby. Tv was nice but the signals poor. Far to a supermarket( but the bus was free) breaskfast was as all other hotels in USA , just a bagel and jam....

Review 60:We liked the staff, the room was Good and clean. The price was very Good:)

Review 61:There was no fresh fruit at breakfast. It was only bagels and granola. We thought we had read there would be fresh fruit.

Review 62:Everything was really clean and crisp, fresh. The people at the service desk were very helpful.

Review 63:Not an adequate breakfast altho the bagels were big and delicious. I didn't try the wi fi altho another guest was having trouble connecting.

Review 64:Beautiful area, friendly manager, Tom, made us feel very welcome and found us a fine room on the first floor when we reminded him we don't want to carry suitcases up the steps. They had hot chocolate and really hot water for the tea. So many places don't have water hot enough for a good cup of tea. And they stocked the best brand of teabags: Bigelow Constant Comment and Earl Grey, along with others. The huge and gorgeous moose head in the lobby with leather sofa and chairs was great, along with a fireplace.

Review 65:I found Apine Slopes about a year ago and have gone back 2 or 3 times. I haven't been there winter but I use it as a base camp for mountain biking at keystone and road riding through summit county.

Review 66:I have stayed in many hotels around the usa and Alpine Slopes was above expectations. Friendly, knowledgeable service. Clean room and central location.

Review 67:Great location, close to the lifts and Keystone Village. Continental breakfast was a nice bonus!

Review 68:Our fridge was unplugged second to last day. Cleaning person must have accidentally unplugged

Review 69:24-7 coffee

Review 71:Location was good.close to ski area's. Friendly & helpful accommodating staff.
