Review 1：My complain is that the room and the restaurant look old and dark. The room was ok but when I went to the bathroom the toilet had the sanitized ribbon on it and when I took it out I found hair on the seat, disgusting!!!!. I wiped it off with my own sanitized wipes. When I took a shower the shower drain was clogged so I ended up bathing my feet which I felt very uncomfortable. I didn't complain because we were very tired and we checked out early in the morning. No time for complains.

Review 2：Breakfast was great, very well prepared with hot meals as waffles, eggs, potatoes, sausage (pork and turkey), cold cereals, yogurt, coffee, juice, fresh fruit, etc. Excellent to start the day in DC with a full stomach. The room was ok and comfortable. Easy access from your car to the room. Using booking.com we had a reservation in less than 5 minutes before we get there and when we checked in at the hotel was very fast and we have no problems at all (around 1 am). We checked out right there with the express checked out and it was a great idea. lots of free parking space ( a little dark, but ok). Good location to take the highway to go to the city. Room size good for parents and 1 or 2 small children. The staff was very nice.

Review 3：Attention to detail. Our room had only one chair, but there was space for another. One of our bath towels had a hole in it. A lamp was located, out of reach, on top of the TV cabinet. None of these was a big deal, but point to an underlying lack of attention by management.

Review 9：Everything was good enough. We just had trouble checking in. My email confirmation said it was for a queen at a rate of $99. But they said I booked two twins. So I ended up having to pay $40 more than expected to finally get a queen room. For that price I could have stayed right in DC, closer to the attractions we wanted to see. Next time we will stay in DC.

Review 11：The internet was out about half of the time, we were there for a week on business and had no access to email or work programs. The room was not clean, mold in plain sight on carpet, even after three maids visits. towels were ALL removed day two, and none were replaced, we were told we had to go to the front desk to get them. Coffee never replaced, TP only replaced after we were down to about 1.4 of a single roll. We were in an odler room, on a floor with three buses of middle school students on all sides.

Review 14：Very helpful and friendly staff. Free shuttle to/from Metro station is provided (easy commute into Washington D.C.). The continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise: cappucchino/cafe latte, etc. was available, so was fresh fruit, joghurt, scrambled eggs & bacon, fresh waffles with syrup -- all very nice :) It was HOT while we stayed, thus the availability of the pool was an additional plus. I can recommend this hotel!

Review 15：Nothing was working in the room and I had arrived quite late and no staff available to fix, lamps, TV remote and the sheets were Threadbare. Manager did rebate me some of the cost of room

Review 18：Gentleman at front desk was very nice helpful and accommodating. Arrived early before time to check in and happily switched me to a room that was ready without any question. Very conveniently located right off the interstate and not hard to find. The drive into dc was very short and well worth the cheaper rate of not staying in dc. The breakfast was good nothing will wow you but for a free breakfast that was decent you'd have to be a major (you fill in the blank) to complain. I will absolutely be staying here again .

Review 19：It was not explained to me about the free breakfast. The person cleaning my room must have come in and turned on the radio and partied, TV was very loud when it was turned on and it was turned down when I turned it off. The person left all the dirty towels and washcloths in the bathroom were still there hung up. there weren't fresh ones that was put in the room. I had to call the front desk to get some towels.

Review 33：I didn't like that for the 1st 2 nights the rm we were given had avery strong musty mildew smell..not exagerating.Met another lady in theelevator who actually said the same.Went to the front desk to say howthe room really had a terrible odor at 1st this man seemed fine heoffereed another room down the hall next to the elevator and when I wentto see it it also had ordor but not as strong..my sister thought welllet's give it another night in our rm #414 and see if it airsout..she also didn't want the noise of the elevator and the peoplecoming off of it..i said to her our u sure I could see if they haveanother room which at that time they didn'T..I Told the man at deskwe will stick it out another night and that hopefully it will air outotherwise it was just to strong he acted like he cared but never oncecame up to see the rm and see how the smell was..i told him another ladysaid she too had a bad smell to which at this point he actually told meshe had checked out because of it..i was like out well see it's notjust me then..at this point I could see that it wasn't news that heand also the lady who was working with him didn't know about..i toldhim maybe tomroow u will have another room but in the mean time tell themanager about the smelli told him I would like a better rate or a refundposs and he was like I will talk to my manager and back ur situation..inthe mean time we also had to light bulds working in the rm except forone.we had our rm card replaced 3 times because it was never working..wewould stand and try it for 5-10 min to and our rm door would neveropen..so he replaced it 3 times!!which is ridiculous!

I am impressed because as a children of a housekeeping supervisor I know what goes on with cleaning management. Its a hard job and when done with love.....its awesome. The front desk young man, changed me to a room with a refrigerator when I told him I needed that for my meds. I thought that was awesome too. Plus, he did everything in kindness and consideration. The kitchen staff was great too! So friendly and helpful. They smiled as they worked. Awesome too!

Review 47：Mike who greeted me on a wet Sunday afternoon was wonderful. We were there to visit college and he gave me great (and simple) directions. He was very helpful answering questions and knew a lot about the college and area. All the staff was helpful from transporting us to places to eat and metro to serving breakfast each morning. They were friendly and courteous. We will definitely stay here again when we travel to the DC area and recommend to friends/family. It was easy to find and get on/off interstate & there are a lot of things around to get to easily. Surprising with all traffic around it was very quiet. Breakfast variety was excellent.

Review 52：The outdoor pool is excellent for size and cleanliness with plenty of sun loungers and a full time life guard.The breakfast is very adequate with hard working staff keeping it stocked and the coffee is great. The reception area has 2 computers and printer for guests plus a great coffee machine all day long. I loved the free shuttle to the metro and local shops. The ice and snack machines came in very handy .All the housekeeping staff were lovely and all the staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. But Stacey was the jewel in the crown ! Stacey was so welcoming and helpful to me and got me a great deal on a hire car .I have stayed here on more than one occasion and it's very good for the price.

Air condition was very noisy and not working. The most disappointment was the shower was broken. We had to go to another room of our family to take a shower. When we inform staff at check out was "sorry for the inconvenience." I know, me too. Room 202 was at the end of the hall way so when people walked in through the door you heard every single noise. Breakfast area was not as clean. It was not a good experience for us.

Review 99：We were put in a lower class of room than what I booked. We could smell cigarette smoke when we entered the room. The manager finally admitted the reservation desk's mistake and moved us to the right room. The customer should not need to work hard to convince the staff that he is not getting what he paid for.

Review 100：Breakfast was the same thing, everyday. After 4 days it would be refreshing to see something different or at least prepared differently. Initially placed in a room with a very noisy air conditioner and what appeared to be mold on the side of the unit. My son has allergies and asthma, so we all had significant concerns. Key cards were a challenge to use to get into workout room and no towels were available.

Review 101：Cost of rooms were reasonable. Staff was always helpful and more than willing to accommodate. We requested a change in rooms, due to a/c unit issues and were immediately accommodated. The room was clean.

Review 102：On check in, the hotel tried to charge me full rate instead of the boooking.com rate. After I complained they found the reservation and charged me the special rate offered by booking.com. Then I found that I could not leave early without full 8 day charge unless somehow going through booking.com. This "de-booking" hassle policy by booking.com - SUCKS! Breakfast line staff constantly talked to each other in a foreign language - this is VERY rude!

Review 104：We were driving through the night to arrive after midnight, and when Icalled ahead to let them know we would check in late, they asked me ifwe could arrive earlier because they had a policy of charging an extranight to those who check in late. That was crazy, so my spouse calledback later, and they made no mention of this policy. We were notarriving late by choice! Also, when we did check in, the staff did notlet us in the foyer, because it was locked. He did all businessthrough a small window, which gave me the general feeling of beingunsafe. The door that was supposed to open by room key only to let youin the main hotel building was faulty, and so anyone could open it.There was visible mold on our ceiling in the room, and the ac wasbroken, so it would cool, but only if you set it at 66 or something,and even then, the room stayed damp-feeling. The staff were not overlyfriendly, and the front desk workers generally had an air of notknowing what was going on.

We had tosearch for an empty outlet and then had to move the refrig to use theoutlet that had a three-way in it. Not within walking distance ofanything. I will be making periodic trips to Springfield over the next few months and plan on staying here during those visits.

Review 127：We were on the 5th floor; our room was next to an elevator and it was"Out of Service". Also, the vending machine was "Out ofService" on our floor. There was an elevator at the other end ofthe building, which was a long distance. The elevator did startworking the morning we left. The handicap shower in our room was veryhard to use. It was hard to adjust the temperature of the water and Iflooded the bathroom floor with my first shower. The shower curtainsetup needs help!

Review 129：Only one descent restaurant within walking distance. Laundry andcleaning service states one day service if turned in by 8:30 am, mylaundry turned in at 7:30 am on a Friday did not receive back until thenext day when manager of hotel called the contractor for the service.

Easy access to either Reagan National Airport Alexandria orArlington, va and Washington dc proper via metro or vre rail. Employeeswere helpful, and a shuttle will take you to restaurants or Metrostation upon request and pick up with a phone call.
