Reviews for The Keystone Lodge and Spa
Review 1:More standard options on the kids menu would be nice. My daughter is a strictly Kraft mac & cheese and/or hot dog and/or corn dog and/or spaghetti w/ marinara and/or plain old grilled cheese, nothing fancy kind of a girl (like most 5 year olds). She also loves tater tots and fruit!
Review 2:Room was super comfy. The front desk staff was great & super friendly. The food at the bar was yummy.
Review 3:The bed was uncomfortable and the room was dirty. The bathroom had the previous guests vitamins and dried up contacts on the bathroom floor, as well as the last guest's trash in the corner of the room. It did not appear that the room had been vacuumed and the glasses in the room had lipstick from other guests. I was too tired to ask for a room switch, I was disappointed in how dirty the room was. The shower was also not clean fortunately I left early in the morning and was able to shower at home as I would not have showered in that bathroom.
Review 4:The staff was helpful and the location works well. For the area the price was great.
Review 5:Our arrival at the Keystone Lodge and Spa was terrible. The experience made us want to turn away completely, but seeing as how we had already paid $200 for the room, we didn't want to give it up. However, the experience left us with a terrible taste in our mouths. We will be telling our friends about it considering we come up to Keystone very often, and this was unacceptable treatment. There was a newer girl named Tawn at the front desk, and the manager: Mark Imanuel. They treated my spouse and I like we were lesser because we are young. We had requested an early arrival, and we were never contacted that we could not arrive early. I tried to explain to them all of this; I had even showed them an e-mail that stated we "needed to be there between 8:00-9:00 am", they blew all of this off, rolled their eyes at us, told us none of that mattered because it was a "request" and they don't have to follow through on it. The manager talked at my back while I was trying to get my spouse inside to be there for the conversation, and they told me that it isn't their problem that we didn't "read the fine print". After everything we were charged and extra $45 for the early arrival and every time we came into the front we had awkward glances thrown at us from the two, and what I assumed to be their friends. We don't care about the money, what we do care about is how we were treated simply because of our outward appearance. We also found hair and alcohol bottles from the people who stayed before us in our bathroom; and instead of one single king bed, we got two queen sized beds.
Review 6:The room, the view; although it is not what we paid for, it was beautiful. The staff at the Spa were all brilliant, the spa itself is what did us in. We could walk out of the window in our room into the snow and to the spa with 2 hot tubs, eucalyptus steam room and heated pool. THE STAFF AT THE SPA = KAILIE KIETH AND MISTY AND WHOEVER ELSE WE CAME INTO CONTACT WITH AT THE SPA WERE ALL EXTREMELY NICE AND THEY SAVED OUR ENTIRE EXPERIENCE.
Review 7:At check-in we were notified of a $35 early check in fee that was not included in the response to our "special request." After a long persistent discussion it was removed from our bill. At check-in we were notified that the $16.95 per person per night breakfast that is offered by booking.com was not "something they do." I had to show my booking.com receipt and argue a bit for them to provide a voucher to the connecting restaurant. The breakfast buffet was not that great. The menu items were at MUCH better value. However if you want first tracks the buffet will get you out on the mountain a lot faster!!! The parking is valet only. Expect to wait for your car. There are few places to actually go and all are accessible by the shuttle and resort buses. Lockers are expensive, small and inconvenient. Pack light when you go to the mountain because you won't want to deal with the lockers. And, booking.com did not calculate the rate correctly. At checkout they hit us with an additional $28 in fees.
Review 8:The hotel was very nice, and the staff was reasonably accommodating. There was a very nice fireworks show to celebrate new years just a few steps outside the hotel. There was a huge skating rink, and nice heated indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub available to all guests between 6-AM and 10-PM. Take advantage of the shuttle service between the hotel and the mountain (it drops you off at the ski check and the gondola). Ask about the fast pass that grants you a one time daily access to the front of the line at the gondola. Do not relinquish your card as it also grants you free overnight ski check. Pizza 101 is really good. It would have been great is someone told us it was not a full sit down restaurant. It is carryout and delivery only. Overall a good value for a first time guest and we would stay there again.
Review 9:The only downside was a completely unresponsive staff at the SPA.
Review 10:The staff are amazing. Great check in, valet parking is the best, the staff in the bar were fabulous.
Review 11:Wish the lounge area around the fireplace was larger. It was pretty crowded some of the time.
Review 12:Great staff, really nice large rooms, very warm down comforter, great food at restaurant.
Review 13:Room wasn't ready after we were told it would be....room hadn't even been cleaned and this was after we took our luggage up there. .farthest room from lobby. Asked for fridge and did not receive it. Asked for 1 hour late check out due to the problems we had but was turned down.
Review 14:Location
Review 15:the entire place is great, rooms are nice and roomy, the location is great for ice skating shopping and more, food is delicious at any of their restaurants... a gem!
Review 16:There really wasn't much to do at night or after 9:00 in the evening. But....overall, nothing to complain about.
Review 17:It was amazing from the moment we walked in the door to our room and saw the view from our GIANT deck. The shuttle service for the guests staying at the resort was so convenient and the drivers were super kind and full of information. The location was great, we didn't have to get in our car and drive until it was time to come home. It was our first trip to Colorado and we can't wait to go back.
Review 18:Unfortunately we were on the first floor and a barking/howling dog kept us up at 3am The valet staff didn't wipe snow of the car before getting in and left a big puddle of snow inside the car
Review 19:The rooms are nice and the staff is friendly -
Review 20:I love this hotel and I was really excited that they allow dogs now,( i usually stay at the inn at keystone , love your properties and they allow dogs) this was a birthday getaway I had planned for months and I called ahead a long time ago , so they would know I had a dog. Unfortunately it wasn't in the reservation so , after a long drive, we had to wait for a 'dog' room to get cleaned.... Not a huge deal, except it was still dirty:( not the best way to start a birthday trip, but your staff was super friendly so that kind of made up for it.
Review 21:We loved the staff!
Review 22:The pillows were pretty worn out and flatten into nothing, and the Pepsi machine only takes dollars or quarters but spits out dimes as change so you always use 2 dollars per soda unless you have quarters handy.
Review 23:Upon checking out, the bell hops were courteous enough to bring our car around and load our luggage into the car and park it nearby for our return from the their private shuttle later that day. Also they have a great pool area with indoor hot tub, a heated pool with indoor outdoor swim under, and our favorite was the outdoor hot tub. they are salt water chlorinated.
Review 24:You should have mentioned it was valet parking (free but not very convenient). Upcharge for pet should have been stated in your rate structure. Confirmed king bed was downgraded to queen size without notification.
Review 25:Extremely clean and neat. Friendly and competent staff. First floor room location with outside patio door was perfect for walking our dog.
Review 26:Not crazy about walking through the tunnel to the parking lot, but notmuch you can do about that. If I weren't a bit of a cheapskate, wecould have paid for valet. Not a deal-breaker.
Review 27:Very pretty, squeaky clean, well maintained, comfy bed with nice linens.Very quiet. Good location. Favorite place to stay at Keystone.
Review 28:If I had to say anything, it would be that the robes brought to us were itchy and uncomfortable.
Review 29:The rooms were fabulous, but the staff was the best part of our stay. Each and every person greeted us in a genuine manner.
Review 30:Cleaning staff vaccuming halls at 830pm and talking loud. Another guest yelled out. After long day of skiing we went to bed early only to be awoken by this
Review 31:The staff - OUTSTANDING valet parking staff - OUTSTANDING. Restaurant staff - OUTSTANDING
Review 32:I cant fault this resort in anyway. Staff were great, room was nice (much nicer than the picture to our surprise), great value. Perfect place to be for Christmas.
Review 33:Last year the Laundry was hard to get to..didn't check this year, but I hope for an easier to get to onsite guest laundry.
Review 34:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Love the view and the kids ski for free. Love the personal van to the River Run Gondola. very nice to be able to check skiis at the base of the lift too. Like the ice sculptures. Will return next year if not before..
Review 35:$50 fee that added.. Kind a annoying and no Free breakfast. Oh mindyou.. They have no Air Conditioner.. So staying in here in a summer timecan be Urgghh !!
Review 36:Clean, wifi, good selection of tv (hbo), bed is comfortable, has abalcony, they gave us free valet parking( you have no choice you have todo valet parking) shuttle everywhere you go, no need to take your car.Location is pretty decent. Oh do not go to Mexican restaurant doslocos.. Horrible food & staff.
Review 37:Safe didn't work. Valet was inefficient - took an hour to recover my car! Breakfast was v poor.
Review 38:Warm and friendly staff. Just great. Most comfortable bed I have slept in for a long time. Facilities were terrific.
Review 39:Accommodations were excellent however slight, constant humming sound in the room made falling asleep a little difficult. Definetly not a deal breaker though!
Review 40:The Keystone Lodge and Spa was a beautiful destination for 11 Year Anniversary! We enjoyed the surrounding scenery on our Harley-Davidson before checking in at the Keystone Lodge and Spa for the evening. BEAUTIFUL scenery all around! Enjoyed dinner at the on-site bistro and the food was 5-Star!! Great, relaxing, romantic getaway!!!!
Review 41:It would have been great to have a screen on the deck door...we had it open in the evening and little bugs were attracted to the lights.
Review 42:Location and staff. Beds were comfortable and the deck was great
Review 43:Narrow. Meant for emergencies. Not meant to be used by guests regularly. Unpleasant. Paint them. Make them interesting. Active people use stairs.
Review 44:Convenient locations
Review 45:We would have like to have seen more and/or bigger hot tubs as they were typically very crowded.
Review 46:Location, convenience, restaurant/bar

Review 84:We loved everything about Keystone Resort and Spa
Review 85:The room was a little warm
Review 86:The spa, pool and fitness center were excellent and the many choices of activities for families
Review 87:Allowing pets.
Review 88:Food wasn't all that.
Review 89:Location, bike trail along snake river, and proximity to mountain hiking trails.
Review 90:Would like a room refrigerator for beverages
Review 91:View, quiet, helpfulness of staff and breakfast on the pond!
Review 92:Being charged for valet parking per day when it was not used or needed.
Review 93:Helpfulness of staff. Quiet location.
Review 94:Pillows are a mushy nightmare. Everything cost money on top of resort fees.
Review 95:Great location and service, beautiful grounds.
Review 96:staff accidentally messed up a scheduled hike and sent us to the wrong location & we missed the hike
Review 97:activities - hiking & golfing scenery
Review 98:Would have enjoyed a refrigerator in the room. We put our water outside, it worked.
Review 99:Beautiful location, wonderful view and friendly staff. We didn't spend much time in the resort, we were only there one day but very happy with all amenities and very friendly staff. View was wonderful, room was very clean.
Review 100:Requested 2 rooms nearby but request was not honored Room cleaning was inadequate Told no refrigerators can be provided for room
Review 101:Comfort of rooms and main restaurant Pool spa and fitness room Free valet parking
Review 102:Food options were limited and getting a hold if the staff was difficult multiple request were requested for the same thing. I would not stay at the facility again
Review 103:The beds were comfy
Review 104:We got "upgraded" to a condo (from a King hotel room) becauase they were over sold. The condo had only a trundle bed, with a very thin mattress. The radiator in this unit is also very loud and clanged all night, making it very difficult to sleep. When we checked out the front desk told us that these condos are not owned by the hotel but only managed by them, so they were unaware of the problem. Also, when we called the front desk for the location of the hot tub/pool, they sent us to the complete wrong building. We had a very long walk in the cold and our key did not work for this building so we had to walk all the way back again to try to find the right location. Very inconvenient. The front desk staff promised us a return call back within 20 minutes of our checkout but it has been almost 24 hours and I have not heard from them.
Review 105:The shuttle is very convenient and takes you right to the base of the ski mountain. They have a very nice Spa/hot tub facility. Hotel is located conveniently off the highway.
Review 106:When we booked the hotel room online (booking.com) we were under the impression that the room was a suite. It was not, even though the advertised image was a suite. At $250 plus $50 for taxes, this room wasn't great. I called the manager, explained the situation, and she wasn't interested in doing anything to refund/help us. BUMMER.
Review 107:Location was great. Valet parking was good.
Review 108:Housekeeping is not so great. They just tidy up, but don't really clean.
Review 109:Comfortable rooms. The hotel is well run and the staff are very helpful. There are little things that make your stay so easy, such as the valet parking, dedicated shuttle van to the gondola, and ski check at the mountain, all of which are included with no extra fee.
Review 110:The cost is somehow pricy for the level of services and the size of the rooms. The building is old and there is no refrigerator in the room or A/C.
Review 111:The Keystone Lodge is a wonderful place to stay in because of its convenient location. Staff were really helpful all the time. Dining and sporting never been an issue because of the flyers they gave us. It was a wonderful and unique experience.
Review 112:The food at the Big Horn Steakhouse was so-so. Over-priced for small portions.
Review 113:Very family friendly. Excellent service. Lots of fun things to do without driving. Very clean and comfortable. Magical place!
Review 114:we were not told in advance that major, noisy construction was going on. The metal saw noise prevented anyone from enjoying the rooms and the pool area.
Review 115:Shay, the lobby clerk, was very helpful as was the young woman on the second day of our stay
Review 116:For the price of the nightly stay there should definitely be airconditioning. Portable units for each room or central air should beinstalled. We got away for 1 nigh and 2 days and was not able to sleepbecause we were very hot in the loft king room they put us in. We couldhave stayed in a regular hotel/motel for much less and had airconditioning. We checked out early to return home to sleep instead ofstaying to enjoy the scenery and relaxation.
Review 117:Very quiet and relaxing.
Review 118:The dining options are a bit scarce, the steakhouse was horrible, way overpriced, I have eaten better steaks at outback or saltgrass than the one I had there, it was just awful. The pillows are not very comfortable, and they are made of feathers, which often poke through the pillowcase and into your cheek or forehead, and they had a humidifier in the room, but it was very small and noisy.
Review 119:The staff is amazingly friendly, they will go out of their way to make you comfortable. The location is magnificent and the facilities in site are pretty good too.
Review 120:The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The shuttle to and from the lodge made it very convenient for skiing at Keystone. We never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes. The room was exceptional! Clean, comfortable and very roomy with an awesome view! The spa was a great treat after a day of skiing! We will be back next season!
Review 121:Some parts of hotel are outdated.
Review 122:Great location. Clean rooms.
Review 123:Lack of pillows. Poor air conditioning.
Review 124:The comfort of the hotel is so good !!!!
Review 125:Everything, the service level, being taking care of, facility, people, food, location
Review 126:wait staff at bar was a bit overwhelmed - service was subpar
Review 127:view from every window was incredible!
Review 128:There was hair on the bathroom floor when we arrived.
Review 129:The friendly atmosphere.
