Review 1：Well, the dust on the heating/air-conditioning unit was abhorrent; had to change rooms after partially unpacking; 7 hrs. and more travel time; 6:30pm to 11:30pm (approximately) spent cleaning the greasy microwave, the dirty refrigerator and the god-awful bathroom; traveled extensively in the US and can safely say, without a modicum of doubt, that your place there (The Red Roof Inn in Johnson City, TN.) is not only shabbily and inadequately kept up, but is down right unsanitary; the price of $525 and change is a joke for the accoutrements provided (cheesy soap; a travel-sized package of facial tissue for the bathroom; one-gulp-sized coffee cups; no breakfast(s) Continental or otherwise; and the filth (was that already mentioned? Now it's mentioned again. Retired, disabled military veteran; 2000 miles this road-trip; better things to do than play revolving rooms and douche out those self-same rooms for your lackadaisical, slacker employees. "Sour grapes" methinks is going round your brains. You may have 1 million tenants in 1 million of your rooms (and more) lauding the perfection of your accommodations. Ultimately, there needs be but one to look beyond that veneer of muted lighting. That 1 is here. We're through with Red Roof Inns everywhere.

Review 3：no refrigerator, no blow dryer, not enough towels or wash cloths, i was very disappointed. I payed the exact amount or less for another hotel the day before that had all of the above and more. We stayed here a few moths back and it was the same. I'll never stay here again.

Review 4：Room was smaller than expected and there was no mini-fridge. Room had faint smoke smell to it and bathtub had hairs. Bed was not very comfortable.

Review 11：The rooms were great. Ready, clean, and recently renovated. Staff is terrific, went to office twice with local questions. Each time there was a different staff member. Both were friendly and extremely helpful.

Review 14：I asked for a wake up call at 6am, however I never received a wake up call. Thank goodness I double protected myself by setting an alarm myself. I had an important obligation the next morning and if I had not done an alarm myself I would've been very late to this meeting. That really disappointed me in Red Roof Inn. I had never stayed at Red Roof Inn before, this was my first time.

Review 21：The easy access to downtown Staunton. I asked for directions at the desk and was amazed how easy it was to go into Staunton.

Review 22：Typical of most Red Roof Inns, the place used to be a smoking joint and it has a stench of old cigarettes. The smell is not overwhelming, but it is complicated by the use of chemicals to try and mask the odor. I find this as unpleasant as stale cigarette odor, if not more so. Rooms near the "generator" or whatever it is are noisy from the motor running.

Review 30：I have never like the $1.50 in room safe fee Red Roof will hit you with if you forget to negate it at checkout. To me its pick pocket tactics and is actually 1 reason I stopped staying there until just now. I never use the safe.

Review 32：Room wasn't ready at check in time. Noisy neighbors on the walkway. Couldn't reach anyone in the office. Heater didn't work. Manager gave "modified" instructions on using heater after request for a different room. Tried instructions. They didn't work. Couldn't reach office again. Didn't get much sleep this weekend. Was cold most of the weekend while sleeping. No appliances in standard king room. No coffeemaker, microwave or refrigerator. Have stayed here before in deluxe king room and been happy but this stay was not good.
