Review 1：Price on Booking.com was 399, and I paid 566$ at the time of checkout including all taxes and valet parking. I wish there was more transparency. As we entered the room, the light bulb from the ceiling exploded on my fiancé;s head. Got away without any injuries but was upset because of that.

Review 2：Spa was good. Roof top pool and spa were good. Check out was extended till 4PM from 12PM since we had spa appointments at the hotel. Complimentary breakfast was given,

Review 3：Clean and large room. Our view was of the wall, but not really there to gaze out the window. Check in was great, front desk was super nice and walked us to the elevator. Valet was warm and welcoming.

Review 13：The river walk can be quite busy and out stay at the Mokara was just exquisite!! The whole spa experience was divine and the restaurant is on the river walk. It was very clean and had a great aroma through out the hotel. The gym area was very neatly organized as well. Mini bar in room and snacks were a plus!!

It was our anniversary and they upgraded us to a river view and complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in our room.

Review 17：I often have this problem in hotel rooms: the air from the heating/AC/fan blows directly on your head when you are in bed trying to sleep. Since the windows don't open, it was difficult to turn off the air and survive longer than a few hours without the room getting too stuffy. I think air deflectors could be added so that the air blows up and not down directly on the beds. We also thought the lighting in the room was poor --- more like "mood lighting"; since we were there for business, two colleagues traveling together, we would have liked to have better lighting in both room and bathroom. Finally, the room looks directly onto a brick wall. I think clients should be told about that strange feature ahead of time!

Review 18：Bed linens, bath linens, comfort of bed, variety of pillows ranging from firm to soft. Service was pleasant and quick (but we did not get room service). Restaurant was very pleasant.

Review 19：This hotel caters to your every sense. The fragrance and refreshing drinks in the lobby are amazing, and the rooms are spotless and elegant. The fine linens and comfortable bed will lull you to sleep. The staff caters to your every need. I can't say enough good things about the Mokara.

Review 20：The best hotel of the whole trip. We are in the Ferrari Club and visit many nice hotels, but this was really a dream. Great very attentive staff (at the lobby and the parking). Every time I would go to this hotel. It is worth every dollar. I do not want to exaggerate, but here it shows a great management - at Wynham in Galveston you realize the opposite.

Review 78：I've stayed at many highly rated hotels in San Antonio, and Mokarais unquestionably at the top of my list. It starts with superior service- over the top attention to detail. We were walked to the elevatorduring check-in by a member of the desk staff, and later - accompaniedby a doorman down to the riverwalk level of the hotel as he provided uswith food and drink suggestions. It wasn't pushy or uncomfortableservice - just enough to make you feel welcome. Our room was spectacular- really well appointed and luxurious (with the exception of the clearlydated telephones, which oddly stuck out in an otherwise sensationalroom). It's not cheap to stay at Mokara, but in this case - you mostdefinitely get what you pay for.

Review 81：There's not much not to like about the Mokara Hotel. Two double beds were a priority for us for our visit. We didn't spend much time in the room except for sleeping but our one window had a view of a building that was very close to our hotel window (15 feet).

The spa facilities were very clean with any amenities that you could possibly need. Bedroom was large with two double beds. The bathroom was huge with a whirlpool tub and shower. Bathrobe, numerous towels, shampoo and lotions were all included in the bathroom.

Mybookings was not available at reception and we were kept waiting a longtime to checkin, to the credit of the courteous reception staff theyoffered us complimentary breakfast. There was hairs left in our shower,as we checkin late I clear it myself so that my children could have ashower. I specifically instructed the reception I would settle theoutstanding charges in cash on my check out and not use the credit cardI left for guarantee , I was astonished to find they dropped my billbefore we got up under my door and credit card already debited. I wasnot even given the opportunity to check my bill prior to my card beingdebited. Clearly this is not the standard that I expect of a luxuryhotel! I am a frequent traveller using luxury hotels often.
