Reviews for Malaga Inn

Review 1:A few quirks, as expected in an older property. Very small tv and definitely not an HD picture. Ventilation a bit noisy, even with earplugs. First room was on the first floor and had a bit of a musty smell. No problem moving to a second floor room where that was not an issue. Bar was not open. Continental breakfast just okay.

Review 2:This is a beautiful, historic Inn with a lovely brick courtyard and fountain. Conveniently located. Quiet area. Vonnie, at guest registration, is lovely, kind, and most accommodating and helpful. The Inn has a parking lot so street parking is not an issue. Charming and quaint. We travel to Mobile about twice a year and I think we have found our go to lodging. Bathroom is modern, attractive and clean.

Review 3:Historicall yet very comfortable exudes southern charm. Very easy walk to daiphin St restaurants and downtown mobile. Great laid back vibe and delicious complimentary breakfast too. Price unbelievably low compared to nearby chain. I would definitely recommend and come back during Mardi Gras as this balcony overlooks the parade route!

Review 4:We didnt really have a bad expeirnece

Review 5:Location was clutch The breakfast was clutch The Price was soo clutch All jokes aside, this vintage hotel was close enough to downtown but not to the point that it was extremely loud, the staff was phenomenal, and it was an awesome experience.

Review 6:Charged for parking because I booked through a booking agent instead ofthrough them directly so any savings was lost due to this charge

Review 7:Nice place over all nice staff quite area

Review 8:Breakfast was nothing special

Review 9:Great location, beautiful inn! We stayed here on our way to Texas and liked it so much we planned our trip around being able to stay here again on the way back.

Review 10:breakfast could have been called 5 breads-with biscuits and gravy, bagel, muffin, etc. eggs or oatmeal would be nice addition. i can live w/o meat for breakfast. this was only drawback for the stay.

Review 11:nice old structure in good location. had nice big balcony overlooking street.

Review 12:We were charged for parking, despite website saying it was free. When we asked we were told that when customers book on third party sites the hotel recovers money by charging for parking. Also, they were hosting a wedding in the courtyard when we arrived which was very loud and made it impossible to relax. We went out to dinner but it was still going when we returned. It ended around 8:30 pm. Internet was very slow.

Review 13:Location, Price

Review 14:The breakfast could have included more healthy options such as fresh cut fruit (berries, melons, etc) Only half the toaster was working.

Review 15:Loved the building & decor. The guest room was comfortable and quiet.

Review 16:Its charm is being a historic hotel, with buildings that date to 1862. We loved the 1970s feel of the room, with old-style phone and TV. Some reviewer here complained that the elevator was old - come on, you want assepict newness, there are plenty of places to go. It is pretty close to the USS Alabama Battleship Park and with several restaurants within walking distance.

Review 17:This hotel has charm, character, and quiet. The courtyard is lovely, and Vonnie, who was working the desk, is a delight. You feel as if you're staying in a friend's guest suite, not a hotel.

Review 18:The hotel/guest house entrance, building & courtyard is one of character. The room however was reflective of better times for the hotel in the past, and in need of decoration. The continental self-service breakfast is basic.

Review 19:The warmth of the family owned hotel/guest house welcome and help with any questions about the area and things to see. The convenience/free parking of the location and its easy walking distance to the town centre.

Review 20:Perhaps that the breakfast area was a little dark, but I did not mind since we had breakfast outside.

Review 21:The hotel is a family bussines. It is a big difference to just an employee working at the front desk. They were very friendly and suggested good places to eat. Since the hotel was not fully booked, we got an upgrade.

Review 22:The breakfast.. Plus a hidden coat for Parking.. However the Parking is unsecured so why do I have to Pay for it ?

Review 23:The rooms where nice

Review 24:Absolutely lovely stay! No complaints!

Review 25:Nothing bad to say

Review 26:Staff was wonderful. Location was great...walking distance to everything.

Review 27:The only limitations to this place is the city surrounding it

Review 28:The best Mobile us to offer

Review 29:Faucets for taking a bath or shower were not easily accessible.

Review 30:We were impressed with the staff, especially, Vonnie.

Review 31:Could not connect to wi fi . Hasd to go outside of room to connect. Breakfast was not good.

Review 32:Great location
