Reviews for Mandalay Bay
Review 1:I booked & paid for a king bed room and ended up with double beds. Not happy, my husband is 6'4" and because of this, we had to sleep separately.
Review 2:Room was a good deal but Sky High prices on every thing else! $8 mineral water! $50 for simple breakfast!two cocktails at the lobby bar $42!no way to see New Years eve fireworks without paying a small fortune.even Starbucks was overpriced with $6 lattes.Yikes!Bring lots of money.also at the end of the Strip so it's a $20 cab ride to anywhere.Better use uber.and we could not get a strip view room only mountains.which were a little boring and brown.
Review 3:Spacious comfy suite.large luxe bathroom.cozy robes. Fluffy bedding.comfy bed.large soaking tub.quiet.Nice lounge with fantastic view on roof (skyfall). Michael Jackson show- fabulous!lovely spa Mandalay-relaxing.cool lobby music and atmosphere.stay in Delano tower and book a suite.worth it. More interesting and luxe.generally similar pricing to main hotel, single room.
Review 4:Checked in and the staff had never bothered to clean out the garbage in the room. Gross! It was very loud and you could hear every conversation from every room. Staff never could get the cleaning right
Review 5:Beautiful rooms and the spa is excellent. Very comfortable bed
Review 6:Our only "complaint" was that it would have been nice if there was a place to get ice on our floor, but it really wasn't that big of an issue at all.
Review 7:My husband and I flew in from Oklahoma City to see MUSE. It was fantastic to be able to stay in a hotel that was so close to the airport and that was "attached" to the Event Center, where the concert was located. We didn't have to worry about renting a car or parking or any of those transportation details.
Review 8:The pool and beach were seasonal, so I paid a resort fee for basically nothing.
Review 9:I really enjoyed the shops and slots that were offered. The venue for the concert I saw was also great.
Review 10:No bad experience to report.
Review 11:The room was very clean and the view was wonderful. Staff informative and very professional. Great humor, makes you feel welcomed.
Review 12:expensive - surprise resort fee of $30 per day was unwelcome. $4 for in room pod-coffee is just absurd.
Review 13:great place - nice food, bars etc. clean and well appointed.
Review 14:I waited 40minutes at the check in desk to get a room.. at 1am after a 12hr flight, that was the last thing I wanted.
Review 15:Clean, grand, as you'd expect of Vegas
Review 16:Mandalay is a great resort with a lot of great restaurants and bars... it also has indoor access to Luxor and Excalibur.. which is an easy walk over to MGM to get the Monorail.
Review 17:Noise of running water of other rooms. The smell (like chlorine) of the many cooked foods at the buffet. It was so bad that we couldn't eat most of them.
Review 18:The spaciousness of the room (Elite King Suite) and its bathtub.
Review 19:room rate at hotel was higher than quoted a booking.com (difference about $ 210 in one room) at the end it was adjusted but not fully
Review 20:great treatment of small children very kind personnel at most restaurants withing Mandalay Bay
Review 21:No complaint at all.
Review 22:We stayed at Delano Mandaley Bay; our room was immaculate & beautiful. We loved the fact that our bedroom was separated from the living/sitting area. Bathroom was also beautiful with amazing bathtub. Excellent and friendly staff.
Review 23:It took an enormous amount of time to check-in. Knowing it was full, not enough staff on hand to check-in on December 25th.
Review 24:Comfortable and affordable for Las Vegas
Review 25:This was the 2nd time we stayed there for the Maroon 5 concert. On our first stay the bathroom tiles were being held together by electrical tape. This last stay, the cover for the dresser fell off. We didn't have a hotel info book and wanted to order in-room dining. Called twice and waited over 2 hrs, never received it. Called again after the concert and guest services confirmed it was never delivered and finally sent one up. We ate dinner at midnight. Pretty disappointing especially since I paid $500 for the room. Never again will we stay there.
Review 26:The bed was comfortable.
Review 27:I didn't like that I had to eat my food cold because the cost to use the microwave for 2 minutes was $35.00 per night. I also, didn't like the toilet. I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong but I had to flush about 3 times.
Review 28:I loved the room and the hotel was very nice. Also, the "Michael Jackson One" was AWESOME!
Review 29:The staff is worse than many places. I booked for two king bedroom, but they said they could not guarantee so finally I got two different rooms. And the attitude of the staffs is not really good. Also, the in room dining is like.... I really what it is... Don't use in room dining
Review 30:the room is big, the overall setting is good --- the casino, the restaurant
Review 31:I was not informed of the remodeling. It was extremely difficult to find my way around the hotel. I was lost a couple of times.
Review 32:I was treated with excellence from start to finish.
Review 33:There was a lot of noise in the mornings due to construction above us. Sometimes very loud!!!
Review 34:The ease of tram or shoppes to get from place to place. Great variety of slots. Clean and friendly staff. View is always great!!! Rooms are a good size and bathrooms are spacious.
Review 35:The water in the room was warm but I would have enjoyed a hot shower and bath. Maybe it is a safety issue but not very hot.
Review 36:Very comfortable room and bed .very nice and friendly staff.
Review 37:Was awakened at 9am after only 3 hours of sleep to a hammer drill. Sounded like it was on other side of the wall. On hold for over 15 minutes for front desk from room phone. Called Concierge from cell. Was told floor 23 being renovated, noise complaints coming in, sorry. We were on floor 19. Tried room service both mornings. No answer. Hotel made no effort to apologize by way of a free meal or even a coffee. This was our one vacation of the year. The one time where we sleep in. VERY disappointed in the lack of customer relations.
Review 38:The Border Grill was amazing. The rooms were very comfortable.
Review 39:My room at Mandalay Bay did not have an exhaust working in the bathroom. My room had a musty smell, the minute I entered. I had to call room services to spray a room freshner. The coffee cups with necessary add ons like coffee capsule, sugar etc ( the most basic things which even a 2 star motel provides ) were not there. 20 minutes into the room, I requested for my room to be changed. These are basics of hospitality. poor, very poor.
Review 40:Price of hotel doesn't include entry to the gym and spa, which costs 25 $. Hotel's guests also don't have any discounts on the tickets to the aquarium.
Review 41:Big room, big and clean bathroom, big and free parking, Michael Jackson Show (amazing!!!), beautiful view from the window, big TV with a lot of channels, big casino and a lot of shops, free tram to other hotels, huge and comfortable bed.
Review 42:this hotel abuse at time check in. they tall me the price I pay is for 2 people and need charge me resort fee. When I do that in booking I included 3 people and all included in the price. They don't believe,,,, i show email confirmation from booking.com.
Review 43:No coffee maker or tea pot.
Review 44:Clean, comfort, the resort, pools that are warm and nice for my kids to swim, shops, and last but not less the Casino. Also, it took me to check out of my room only one minute form my room's TV.
Review 45:Absolutely no special treatment while there to get married down to wanting to charge us $6.50 to borrow a cork screw to open a bottle of champagne on our wedding day...Concierge hung up on me twice while trying to get help renting a tux for our wedding I guess no commission on that service and then I was hung up on twice by guest services while trying to seek there help until Lina answered and found us some tux shops on line because there were no yellow pages available...A maid that could not speak english and would not let me in my room while my husband was in there sound asleep and did not take the time to call down to the front desk and verify who I was by my ID...Left me standing in hallway having to use the restroom and made me go back to the front desk to prove who I was when she had just scanned my card the previous day to let me gain access to my room while she was cleaning...Rude inconsiderate help and when I complained the front desk went to talk to manager who never even took the time to acknowledge me just sent her back with a verbal apology...My sister has lived in Vegas for 30 years and owns a business there...you can bet she will be telling this story for a long time...and will not be recommending Mandalay Bay to anyone again...
Review 46:Nice Rooms
Review 47:Staff were un pleasant and rushed me through. Did not explain anything about the hotel or offer me any assistance. When i asked a question i got a very short unpleasant response. Besides that the hotel was great. Would not stay again though due to this.
Review 48:I don't understand why you guys put us next to the airport when I have 2 small kids. Then we switch to join room which worst , teenager kids was playing music and party till 4 am!!!!!! It's the worst hotel I ever stay!!!!! Also , spoke to Alex the manager said he was not going charge me One night which he did... If you are going to have go service this is not...
Review 49:The facility seems old. The lights in the room are weird.
Review 50:I had an issue with the bill (overcharge compared to bookingconfirmation) and they solved it quickly. The staff was ok
Review 51:Far from strip. Noisy. Housekeeper come to my room 8am for clean room. Room key didn't work suddly. So asking for information. We are waiting for a long time handle this.
Review 52:Nothing. . .
Review 53:The room #10-302 stay 3 night never change the bed sheets, I booking Elite king suite , when check-in give me suite room only cannot view the Strip
Review 54:The place is good
Review 55:Not a bad experience but long check in after an 11 hour flight was a little disappointing.
Review 56:Efficient and professional staff, rooms beautiful, spacious, very clean and cosy
Review 57:I purchased a drink from a bartender in the casino and he was rude. I asked him a question regarding a cocktail for my wife and he stared me down. He inpolitly anwsered my questions. It seemed as I had asked him to pay for the drink. Bad customer service along with attitude.
Review 58:I liked how clean and how much space the resort has.
Review 59:Half of the restaurants were closed. The ones that were opened were expensive. I don't understand the $30 per night resort fee, especially the main attraction (beach) was closed. Most of the resort was closed for the season.
Review 60:Luxurious
Review 61:When we arrived the first evening the front desk staff were not very friendly, didn't ask us any questions or welcome us, and we had to wait a while to even be helped, it looked like a shift change happened at the same time, so it would have been nice if someone had at least said "we'll be right with you" or anything really. We had wanted to mention it was out first visit and our 20th Anniversary but didn't feel comfortable doing so at that time because there wasn't much conversation besides asking for our ID's...we did the next day after speaking to the concierge staff and were given a $50 dinner voucher, which was nice but were told that we may have received a room upgrade if they had known during check-in, so that was disappointing. We also asked for a non-smoking room but there was an ashtray in the room and it smelled like smoke in the bathroom everyday.
Review 62:The hotel is beautiful! Our room was very comfortable, best bed I've ever slept in, best hotel bathroom I've ever been in.The concierge were very helpful and friendly. The shopping and restaurants were great and we went to several! And the spa was amazing! We looked forward to returning to our hotel each night after a busy, tiring day. We would stay here again!
Review 63:Being at the south end of the strip it made leaving the property and getting out a journey. There is a tram that'll take you up to Excalibur and get you closer to the action but that closes around 9:30-10 pm.
Review 64:All the staff we encountered were more than happy to help us out until all of our problems were either solved or all options were exhausted. We truly appreciated the care and attentiveness of Mandalay Bay's employees.
Review 65:Location, too far away from what we wanted to do. Needs to be more closer to the center of strip or expand tram route. I spent to much on taxis.
Review 66:Cleanliness, friendliness of staff
Review 67:It's the last hotel on the strip, so it's not in a central location.
Review 68:Beautiful hotel! The room was very nicely decorated and huge! This hotel was my favorite! Great strip view. I'd like to go back to use the wave pool when it's warm.
Review 69:People was working on upper level of my room making to much noise I call front desk and they said it was some type of construction going on... It was so annoying.. that happened for the morning's start early as 7:00 am
Review 70:These meme me dislike at all People was working on upper level of my room making to much noise I call front desk and they said it was some type of construction going on... It was so annoying.. that happened for the morning's start early as 7:00 am
Review 71:My husband prescription sun glasses went missing on the 4th. night and the vehicle was parked in valet the entire 5 day stay.
Review 72:The room was quiet and very roomy double sinks and clean.
Review 73:One can wish for acces to the fridge in the room for exampe, without having to pay for it. When we checked in we were told that we had partial view over 'the strip' wich we didn't have. The view was instead over a parking and a roof.
Review 74:Bathroom, The bed.
Review 75:Renting an expensive suite, I expected at least some complementary water or snacks in the room, or a coffee-/tea maker.
Review 76:The hotel overall is very decadent and well maintained. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they helped make our stay a great one. The rooms are well isolated, so you have a sense of privacy, even though the hotel is fully booked.
Review 77:Didn't like that you didn't tell us the beach pool area would be closed.
Review 78:I loved your hotel. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in.
Review 79:This review is for the Delano. It was recently renovated and everything was lovely: sophisticated and yet warm. The suites are very spacious and the powder room in addition to the very big full bath was wonderful and came in handy. All the staff that we came in contact with was wonderful.
Review 80:I had trouble checking in,it was frustrating and the mini bar and the reef, you would think would be free ,for as much as the rooms cost...& breakfast?? What breakfast!? Where, the hotel could be a little bit more clear.I wish we would have options of what room to stay what side of the hotel because of the views.
Review 81:That you are able to walk around your hotel and chech it out.
Review 82:The hotel is super overpriced. If I were to spend $200+ for a weekend stay, I would have considered myself robbed. There is nothing there that is worth so much money. A bottle of water in the mini bar for $8, insane.
Review 83:This is one of the best hotels on the strip. Large bathrooms, good views. We stayed there during midweek, so the room rate was reasonable.
Review 84:I cut the bottom of my foot rather badly on an escalator on the Strip, I called to the front desk 3 times-explaining the severity of the cut and requesting a first aid kit. They finally sent up THREE BANDAIDS with the Very, VERY Rude Security Guard. The girls in the room next to ours lamented that he had been terrible to them as well when they called down after being locked out of their room. I cannot stress to you enough how very RUDE he was. I informed the front desk and the guard that I had bled quite a bit around the room and they seemed disinterested in this biohazard.
Review 85:Beautiful hotel. Nice Clean room, thought the view was of the pool, not spectacular.
Review 86:We found my daughter socks between the sheets!!!... that was very desapointing for a 4 star hotel ...and I did left a tip that morning.
Review 87:I like the view and the convenience of the tram...the room setup was nice
Review 88:We had to wait over 45 minutes in line to check in. Even though we had ordered a king bed we were told there were none available. We had a room with an adjoining. The couple next door was very loud. I was quite surprised there wasn't any sound proofing. The casino is on very end of strip. You have to take monorail to get on strip and trains didn't come very frequently.
Review 89:The room itself was nice. It had a full bath and shower. Really great restaurants on site.
Review 90:The restaurants were too expensive and not good quality. You can't use the fridge in the room for personal use. It is only for the mini bar. $50 fine if you do and if you want a fridge you have to pay $30 more a night. Most cheap hotels give you a fridge. That's just crazy. Try to nickle and dime you.
Review 91:$30 per night resort charge. No mention that the beach facilities were closed for winter Everything costs extra
Review 92:Great hotel located at end of strip. Lovely comfortable rooms.
Review 93:Towels were stained looked dirty. Tv was sometimes intermittent. The tour bus area was poorly marked and no one correctly directed us causing us to turn up half an hour late to the tour despite waiting in the wrong spot for 40 minutes.
Review 94:Nice shops nice people nice area
Review 95:After taking a shower the water didn't go down & flooded the bathroom & rug as you walk out.
Review 96:Went downstairs to lobby told them about bathroom being flooded. They gave me 2 new keys for another room, they text me when my new room was ready.
Review 97:Location is 20-30 min walk from the main bit if the Strip which is a bit too far for my liking
Review 98:Staff very helpful and friendly. Great rooms and facilities
Review 99:I didn't realize that we had to check out on time. I really needed a late check out and would have preferred a different room that wasn't being remodeled check out Morning.
Review 100:I love Mandalay Bay. We went to the Foundation Room and had a blast
Review 101:The bathroom had some hairs on the bathtub deck. The water pressure wasn't good on the shower. A little pricey for what you get.
Review 102:The staff was friendly & helpful. They gave a discount for the bathroom issues.
Review 103:Booked a Deluxe King Room, but when we arrived, they only had Deluxe Queen Rooms available. What's the point of booking a type of room, if they going to give you something different.
Review 104:Hotel, rooms, restaurants are amazing inside and out.
Review 105:No cheap($5) tables in the casino and the wing we were on faced the airport with plane noise until about 3am daily
Review 106:Very clean witha big beach at the pool. Staff was very friendly and had the tram for easy transpotation up the strip
Review 107:No information/directions on services/ amenities was given at check-in.
Review 108:Decent location, slightly far south of the action but easy to travel to main strip via the trams. Concierge was excellent - very helpful.
Review 109:Do not book through Booking.com. Their "price match guarantee"is bogus. I called the hotel, they offered a cheaper rate andBooking.com would not match the price!
Review 110:Mandalay Bay was fantastic!
Review 111:No security whatsoever on the elevator area in lobby going up to the rooms. Anyone can follow a guest to their rooms.
Review 112:The excellent view from my room, the comfortable beds, the magnificent show, Santana and the gaming.
Review 113:I booked a room with a King Size Bed but when me and my husband got there they only had two queen beds. My husband is a large man so he had to sleep in a separate bed the whole stay since they told us no rooms with king size beds were available
Review 114:The pool
Review 115:Booked king bed deluxe got stuck with a 2 bed room.. no trash bags....Jacuzzi was dirty with hair's...1 trash can was half full of trash..
Review 116:Nice hotel and love the restaurants..
Review 117:Could hear the loud planes from the airport (until about midnight). Room key did not work. Staff replaced key with no problems. Just an inconvenience as room was on 28th floor & at end of hallway.
Review 118:Room was clean. Bed very comfortable. Staff was very courteous.
Review 119:Food in hotel was expensive, and the lady for check out was not friendly. She first made a mistake, our bill said that we used the mini bar which we did not, after I noticed that ,she changed the bill, without any apologies
Review 120:City view was very good
Review 121:Check-in staff were informed that we were using our USDollars cash cardyet we were charged in Australian Dollars costing us further fees.Furthermore pre-authorisations for charges on purchasing mj One Ticketscaused us more expense and huge inconvenience. We then had to use ourCredit Card as a result. Today is 14 days since we returned home andmust wait 28 days before being refunded with money the hotel had'Frozen' due to a lack of listening and care from the staff.
Review 122:Resort style accommodation for the family to enjoy.
Review 123:when I booked I didn't realize the beach area and lazy river would be closed for the season during our stay(and that was the main reason for booking this specific resort), and we had an unluckiness with the oversized bathtub and shower both backing up and had to call for someone to fix that(and they did, along with clean our entire room like new)
Review 124:An awesome room with spectacular views, very comfy bed, great food at the 24 hour restaurant, super nice front desk lady
Review 125:The wave pool has a height limit that I was unaware of from the hotels website! My niece was disappointed to not be able to enjoy this amenity. Not as kid friendly as some websites have said...
Review 126:Clean, convenient, near strip and easy access to neighboring hotels with the tram! Nieces loved the lazy river!!!
Review 127:At one in the morning none of the water worked (sink faucets, toilet, shower, etc...) in our suite that had been recently renovated, then fortunately sometime between then and 10am the water came back on. Me and my girlfriend want to see the aquarium but it was too expensive and it would have been nice if it was included in our resort fees.
Review 128:The room and bathroom were nice
Review 129:only thing didn't like is packing the minibar & table which u shouldn't move if you shouldn't be charged. There should be option, pls dont stock my room!
Review 130:Great pool, kids enjoy the wave pool more. great access to Strip, Luxor, Excalibur MGM & NY..NY. Shark aquarium & haunted reef decoration was good on Halloween. Food variety was good. Checkin was easy.
Review 131:Great Room Suite not as advertised - our room didn't feature floor-to-ceiling windows, TV in the bathroom didn't work, water pressure in the shower was too low & room was at the end of a 1-mile hallway. Price-to-value wasn't quite there for us considering that we could have stayed closer to the strip.
Review 132:Very comfortable bed and pillows, nice clean bathroom. Casino and buffet restaurant are very nice as well, food was very good. The Las Vegas Sock Market!
Review 133:it's quite far from the fuss of vegas, and quite expensive for its location and ambiance. I would pick ARIA over mandalay bay anyway.
Review 134:huge swimming pool.
Review 135:We had to move room because of noise from workman in the hotel. Price for food and drink made it difficult to eat and drink their. The hotel is aim at the young, it just means we will not be going back.
Review 136:The pool area was lovely but loud music in various areas was more suited to the young. Room was great, Good location all be it at the end of the strip.
Review 137:The room was old and dirty. There was no coffee maker in room and the food at the buffet tasted really bad. Overall it was a bad experience and would not recommend to anyone.
Review 138:No perks or incentive were given at check in. Most hotels here do that.
Review 139:We checked in late so did not receive the king bed we had booked. Staff offered no incentive for down grading our room.
Review 140:Expensive brunch instead of breakfast alternative at Bayside Buffet saturday morning. Some of the staff was more interested in socializing with eachother than serving the guests.
Review 141:Lovely pool area! Clean room. Comfortable bed. Big bathroom.
