Reviews for Midtown Motel & Suites

Review 1:Not very warm in the bathroom.

Review 2:Read the previous reviews and decided to check out this location. Was pleasantly surprised with the room overall for the price. Staff accommodated us with our request of room location easily. Overall comfortable and pleased with the motel. We will book again on our next visit to Moncton :)

Review 3:No hair dryer in room. There was a small kitchen which was nice but had only 1 coffee mug and 1 glass. Room was basic and older style. Had some cracked tile in bathroom and by sink.

Review 4:Beds comfortable. Price was great. Motel handy to everything. Friendly staff and accommodated us when we needed another night's lodging due to stormy weather.

Review 5:Decor/sheets could be updated.

Review 6:Pet friendly, nice staff, good location, excellent bathroom and shower.Mini fridge/kitchenette was a great perk.

Review 7:The only thing is that it took a while for the bathroom to warm up but it wasn't a big deal.

Review 8:So friendly!! Very clean and the bed was comfortable! It was quiet and close to downtown!

Review 9:When we arrived, we found out the pet fee was only $20. and we were staying for a whole week. Most places charge that for a day. We were also upgraded to a beautiful large suite ; although no cook top (#112) with plenty of room and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Within walking distance to restaurants and a short cab ride to the other downtown restaurants.

Review 10:We loved the room! It was huge, our was able to have his own little corner and we did not feel like we were sitting on top of each other. Loved that there was a fridge and microwave and a few dishes. The beds were extremely comfortable

Review 11:Missing a plug for the bath tub

Review 12:After a horrible night in a previous Motel. We were blessed with vacancy at Midtown Motel to cover for our second night of vacation. He allowed us to have an early check in, to catch up on our lack of sleep and to freshen up in a nice bathroom.

Review 13:It was quite close to the centre of the town, but in a very quiet area. The staff were very helpful on arrival and the room was clean, comfortable, well decorated and well presented.

Review 14:Everything was fine, but if I was pushed to add a comeent then the room was a little dark if the curtains were closed, the lighting was dim.

Review 15:Closre proximity to railway station and downtown Moncton. Staff were very helpful & friendly, Room facilities (kitchen etc) were excellent

Review 16:The walls were a bit thin but we not disturbed unduly.

Review 17:A well presented, two large bedded room, very comfortable with small kitchenette. Generous bath/shower room. Laundry facilities also. Very pleased. Delightful staff.

Review 18:Check out in the morning was a bit weird. Told me to leave the key card on the floor in the room. Would have preferred to check out with the owners.

Review 19:Location was great and close to where we had to go.

Review 20:When we arrived at our room, the door had been left ajar and we couldn't get it to close (no matter how much pushing and leaning we did!). When I alerted the staff they checked the door and agreed it was broken but that we should just push or pull on it harder. I never did manage to actually close the door properly. The walls were very thin (so we could clearly hear the "intimate activities" happening next door). The room was musty smelling and there were some odd bloodstains left on a comforter. Overall, for the price we paid, we had expected better.

Review 21:If a bathroom window can open - a good thing- then a screen would benice too. Also a less tired window perhaps. ( but that is looking forthings.) No hair dryer either, fyi.

Review 22:It was a nice surprise, value wise, in an area full of more expensiveoptions. The room was spacious, and first impressions were veryfavourable. I would go back for sure.

Review 23:pretty dated and humble place (not for people looking to a luxury accomidation) I liked it

Review 24:Cost was great Owner was VERY accomidating and so helpful (Gave us the suite when an extra couple people had to stay with me and a great discounted price)

Review 25:I don't really understand why there was a $200 deposit. Yes we did get it back but that seems pretty expensive. Also, while we were checking out around 8am, we had to stand outside in the cold until he checked the room so we could get our deposit back.

Review 26:It's an older, out of date motel... very thin walls. Clean but weathered.

Review 27:Convenience, staff was super friendly and helpful, able to accommodate my requests/needs. Things were clean but weathered. Could use newer linens on the bed but otherwise... for the price... great value.

Review 28:The bed was terrible. It sagged in the middle at least 5 inches. The room had 2 double beds and they were both as bad. The only time spent in the room was for sleeping and it was truly terrible.

Review 29:We stayed here for 2 nights. I have stayed here a few times in the past due to location.

Review 30:Midtown is a very nice place to stay and the location is within walking distance to downtown Moncton. The owner, Jude is very friendly, pleasant and will help his customers out if he can. The room was clean, beds are extremely comfortable. I would recommend this place to family and friends. I will be staying there again when I am home to visit family.

Review 31:Heat didn't work, manager had to come fix it twice. Finally left us with a space heater. Bathroom was freezing. Plug didn't fit the tub, had to keep refilling it. No cold water in kitchen sink. Door to outside didn't close properly unless we really shoved it. TV was old and tiny and the cable was loose so when we walked around the TV would go fuzzy.

Review 32:Heat pump was not working properly, so found room cold. Exposed water and sewer pipes in corner of room was VERY unappealing. Walls very thin; could hear everything people said in the adjoining room

Review 33:Our purpose in Moncton was for surgery at Moncton City Hospital, so chose this location for it's ease of commute to and from hospital.

Review 34:The only thing I can think of was the fan in the bathroom was really loud.

Review 35:The price was so low I was expecting a small outdated room but when we arrived we were surprised to say the least. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was big, very clean and comfortable. There was a pull out couch in the room and a very convenient kitchenette as well.

Review 36:The fact that I had to give them 100 damage deposit for a 2 night stay because they were worried I'd smoke in the room.. Sorry I don't smoke but had to give it anyway ended up getting it back begrudgingly from owner after stay, I also felt I was under surveillance if I had anyone to come to my hotel to have business meetings because anyone staying in your room is $10.00 extra a night and was even asked by owner how long my " friend" stayed with me. I was insulted. Also my trip was made in winter and the heat in the room is provided with a hot air blower heater which looks a lot like an air conditioner on the wall what they don't tell you is if you use too many things at one time ex: using coffee machine, microwave, toaster it could end up tripping the breaker then the heater will shut off my heater wasn't even on and I thought it was electric heat woke up to my room being 14 degrees inside -34 with windchill outside when I went to owner to fix the heat he wasn't sure why the blower was off and said I don't know what you guys did ( again talking about seeing a buisness parter come to my hotel room to drop off documents) then proceed to show me how to turn it back on if it went out needless to say I didn't drink coffee, eat toast,or microwave anything just to be in the safe side.

Review 37:The bed in the room I had was very comfortable and by the end of my stay I wanted to have the power to take it home with me, the bathroom and overall room was very clean and housekeeping staff very friendly.

Review 38:did not like the nighttable sitting right in front of the bathroom door the night tables could be a bit smaller and the size of the television was small

Review 39:The room didn't have a clothes rod to hang anything. It seemed like the room was partially renovated - big hole in the floor and paint chipped off wall. We had to get a portable heater brought in since the thermostat was putting out cold air instead of hot.

Review 40:The room was clean, comfortable and good price for an overnight stay. The staff was courteous and the manager was very quick in getting the heating fixed to our satisfaction.

Review 41:The shuttle to the airport was important to us because we had to leave the motel at 4:30 a.m. We were taken to the airport by the manager who was very friendly having no problem of how early it was!

Review 42:The king size bed was really soft. Although our sleep was okay I had to use 2 or more pillows to sleep on in order to get a good night sleep. Also there was a door to connect to the next room, it was not insulated and we heard the persons alarm and the morning noises a person makes when getting up. Not a great way to start a day.

Review 43:I loved the kitchen facilities the toaster was a great touch. We also had use of a washer and dryer which after 4 days on the road was great to give the clothes a wash.

Review 44:The Midtown hotel was a clean modest hotel with friendly staff who were anxious to please. We stayed one night and were very happy with everything. Good value!

Review 45:Window had no lock Bathroom floor grout was all coming out and needed to be redone.
