Review 1：we had difficulties finding the place as both google map and booking.com placed the hotel at the wrong end of the street. staff in hotel speaks little english, but that was not a problem. breakfast room is huge - we recommend going for one of the specialized Van Kahvalti (breakfast) restaurants at least once

Review 2：great location in center of town. friendly staff. spacious room - we got a 3bed for price of double. the pub and restaurant are connected to hotel through internal hallway, no need to go out anymore, very convenient and great service and food in both pub and restaurant.

Review 8：The young woman at the front desk was fantastic--she was veryaccomodating, and took very good care of us. She went out of her way tohelp. Her English was very good both formally and functionally.

Review 9：Towel racks fell off wall; bathtub leaked on floor and shower head wasspraying water all over ceiling. There was visible old water damage onceiling directly above.

Review 12：Hotel Tamara is in the center of Van. Thoughtful personal and good food. In the city were english language is rare spoken they were the first who helped me orientate. One of receptionists English was poor, but the guy with the translators help explained me what i needed. If I come back to Van it's definitely be this hotel

Review 14：Very pleasant room, lobby, etc. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. They went out of their way to help us when we were confused or could not find something. A couple of examples: (1) The staff sent for our luggage (which the airline had lost and which arrived late) and had it brought to the hotel for us. (2) When we needed to find the post office (PTT in Turkey), one of the staff members walked 5 or more blocks with us to show us where it was. And, the breakfast was delightful. There was a large selection of tasty and interesting foods, served in a very pleasant dining room, and there was even a chef to cook eggs to your taste. The location is great; within about 3 blocks of what I'd call the center of Van.

Review 15：The man on the reception / front office could be a little nicer and more responsive. Funny thing is when they try to debit my credit card, they would do it Turkish lira TL instead of EURO, with an exchange rate of 1 Euro = 2.3 TL. Fortunately, their machine was broke so I had to pay cash. I paid in Euro, and they convert the change with turkish Lira with a convertion rate of 1 Euro = 2.1 TL. What a cheat! While the money involve was not substantial but nevertheless, it left me with a very bad impression. The hotel is still recommended though!

Review 16：Location is very nice, in the center of Van city. Breakfast was very nice with all the regular turkish breakfast plus an ommelete stand. They also serve that tasty Van honey on breakfast, definetely must try! Rooms are quite big, tv's are flat plasma (albeit small one) with a coupe of english channel. Definetely pick this one if you go in Van. Avoid the dreadfull Yakuit Hotel.
